When I am choosing a tattoo artist, I want someone who can make me feel comfortable, as well as put a stunning piece of art on my body, and Spencer does just that. He has done three of my tattoos and each one has been perfect for me. I’ve gotten both traditional color and black and white nature scenes. He has done a great job, and I’m always in awe at how much I love his work when I look at them. He’s awesome to work with. I highly recommend.

This is a well deserved review for a very professional artist. I have been going to Spencer for years and my wife also. He is an incredible artist that focuses not only on the quality of the artwork, but the quality of the experience. He keeps in contact and works with the client as much as possible to make sure to create exactly what they want. On top of that he has a wonderful personality that compliments his work. You can always tell he enjoys what he does and cares not only about what he is doing, but the client also and how comfortable they are while getting the work done. I would recommend someone going to him over anyone else. If you are a new comer looking for your first tattoo or someone with lots of work looking for your next big piece. Spencer is someone I would tell anyone to give a chance.

I’ve been going to Spencer for many years. I found him when I was looking for an artist to do a very important tattoo for me in dedication to my mother and grandmother passing. Since then he has been the only one who does my tattoos.Spencer provides a safe and relaxing environment. His artwork is phenomenal and I get so many compliments on his line work, his details and pretty much everything you can appreciate in a tattoo artist’s work. I wouldn’t have anyone do a tattoo for me!

First of all you can tell him any idea, even if it doesn’t make sense in your head, and he can come up with something amazing. He’s a great artist and also very professional and easy to talk to. Matt has given me around 13 of my newest tattoos, his work is INCREDIBLE. Matt makes the entire experience one of a kind. My first session ever, I was a walk-in. He treated me with respect and gave me exactly what I wanted. Every time I book with Heartland-Matt, I know I’m going to get a piece of art I will love the rest of my life. PRICING!! I agree with pricing, the artwork I have received has been worth every penny! You get what you pay for, and at Heartland their artwork is undeniably beautiful!! I have already booked my next one this morning.

So happy to see Spencer doing his thing in his own shop. I have been a customer for a few years and have had nothing but great work done by him. Here are a few of my favorites.

There are many tattoo shops in the area to choose from. Im from Chicago and we have places all over. However, the level and quality of work here is not something you can find at any of those others. Five stars is not enough. Matt has done all 15 of my tattoos and there are more in the future. He takes my ideas and makes works of art that receive a lot of compliments. He takes his time and makes sure it is something you are going to be happy with. He is the only guy I will go to!

I have two tattoos done by Spencer. One is a decent size on my arm, and it gets complements all the time. The shading and line work could not be beat…the artistry is amazing! Three years later and it still looks as good as it did when he did it. Will definitely be using him in the future on another arm piece I am wanting completed.

You will not be disappointed!! I have had several pieces done by Spencer. Both of my Daughters and my Husband have all been tattooed by him. He is an exceptional artist and makes you feel at home. Can’t recommend enough.
