I got my right nostril pierced today and the dude who did my piercing stopped halfway then said “oh shoot” and then finished it and before he started the piercing when he just had the clamp on he and his buddy started talking about nazis or something in front of me. Me and my friends went to the other piecing place ‘sacred heart’ and they took way better care of us I would highly recommend sacred heart as to this place. Do not come here.

Ive gotten 2 tattoos (including my first) in a months span because they are so great! The place is clean and orderly, and the artists are lovely and great to work with! It was well worth the 4 hour drive for me and I will be back again soon!

I had an awesome experience here! Matt was very pleasant and very patient with my nervous self. That man gives a super straight, perfectly placed nose piercing lol. Im looking forward to going back for art in the future!

I went in wanting my first tattoo, I had shown them a drawing I did that I wanted to go on my bicep. He was absolutely against it, just kept going on rabbit trails as to why I couldn’t get it. In my mind I’m thinking it’s personal preference? he stated It had small details that wouldn’t age well, I was fine with not adding them because it was something to fill the sketch. Dude gave me some really good points about tattoos and how they age; not w/o being very condescending and rude about it, very big “mansplainer”. He just did not wanna do this tattoo. I don’t know if it was because it was my first and he didn’t wanna deal with that, if the line work was to difficult, or if he didn’t wanna do anything that wasn’t drawn up by himself. After listening to that for a good 10-15 mins we left and went 6 mins up to road to a place called Studio 819. I went in expecting the same thing but I wanted a second opinion, dude there named Marcus took one look at my pic asked me where I wanted it and how big. I told him my bicep and he started the process. He explained to me like the other place all the little details and aging. so he went around my details with something else I was very happy with the finished product, it was exactly what I wanted and I didn’t get a list of BS. Highly recommend going to Studio 819 if you wanna get the tattoo YOU want, they’re the chillest dudes and they execute.

Keith was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! We went in there with an idea-ish and came out with one of his own creations! I can’t say enough thanks for the work I got!!! Highly recommend and will certainly be back!

Matt did a memorial tattoo on my arm. I was in from out of state and these guys were awesome. They welcomed me and my crazy family and helped us get our designs the way we wanted them. Matt took his time and made sure my work was perfect before I left. If I am ever back in Cookeville, Ill definitely be going to see them again!

Alley Cats is an absolutely wonderful tattoo shop. I cant wrap my head around the reviewers that werent happy about their experience. My friend had a piece done by Louie, Ive had a piece done by Matt, and another by Chuck, and all three are amazing, I highly recommend them.

The owner of this establishment does phenomenonal Tattoo work in my opinion, he did my tattoos almost 17 years ago and they are still dark and nice Ive never avoided the sun, they are beautiful prices and he is very good at words and writing tattoos, or thats just what I got from him anyways! Chuck is a very talented human being and will hook you up! All of my artwork from him is religious biblical scripture and pictures, and its beautiful! JOB WELL DONE and Im fixing to come back for my first tattoo since I was 18 years old!

Great shop with great artists. I have been coming to this shop for almost 20 years and now gotten 7 tattoos from this shop and am happy with each and every one.

Had such an awkward experience at this place.Went with a friend for a simple nose piercing on Sunday (4/14/13), the apprentice was nice and kind of helpful, but was not doing the piercing. There was one guy filling in a tattoo that we were waiting for to do the piercing, the wait was fine. When he got to us, he almost acted annoyed and gave no instruction to my friend at all for her piercing. It was a get in and get out sort of mentality, oh and here is your sheet of paper with directions. I dont expect a smiling face all of the time, but maybe making someone feel comfortable in your shop will make them want to come back again. I know and hope that she will not be going back there for her tattoo and I know I wont be going back for future piercings. Definitely needs some customer service work.

Very rude guys! Their work is bad too and I got pics of it that Im not proud to show but will if it saves you from going! And when I say rude I mean very rude, unhappy people to be around. I didnt talk for almost the whole 3 hrs and was so mad I paid for the uncomfortable environment I was in. Then saw the work and just cried. I dont normally leave bad reviews but this was so bad all the way around and permanent, so hope this saves others. Later found Studio 819 and was blown away, complete 180 with the work and environment. Got pics of their work also I love to show.

I went to get my nose pierced and I was really nervous but, it was a very chill. It only cost $30. If I want another piercing Im definitely coming back! Totally recommend!!!

Not a welcoming experience. Definitely a quantity over quality type of shop with artists who arent willing to put any effort into a custom piece and would rather pull an image off of Google. 1,000+ pieces of flash art that all look the same or looks like it was also pulled right off of google. Poor organization, you cant even tell which art belongs to which artist. No physical portfolios or photos of previous work on past clients.Would not reccomend.

The website says they do piercings that when you call they say they do not do. The website also says they are open until 10 pm and when you call they say they are closing early. I understand not wanting to stay open past posted hours but if you claim to be open until a certain time then stay open. If you don’t want to be open that late, then maybe it’s time to re-evaluate your hours.

I am a recovering alcoholic and my tattoos signify my journey to sobriety and the loved ones that brought me to that point Matt was completely understanding and is all around one of the coolest people Ive ever met in my life and an amazing tattoo artist I would recommend him to the closest of friends

So yeah. Pulled up to get two noses pierced, simple and quick. 8:39p.m. (open until 10 p.m.) Dude seriously sees our car doors opening and walks up and aggressively locks the door in front of us, turns around and walks off... Who does that?? Really. Will never return for any kind of business here. Looked like jerks anyway.

Chuck is a master of photo-realistic tatoos. Ask your artist if he can do photo realism. Some will say yes, but not many can actually do it. Ive had two done by Chuck Kail, a three hour session straight with no break on my right shoulder blade and a three and a half hour straight session on my left, both photo-realistic. Chuck is a machine. Ive since had three done at Body apartz, not photo-realistic, just prints. I wont let anyone in the a UC needle me except Chuck.

VERY RUDE EMPLOYEES!!! I bought a vape from this places and the guy with the long hair would barely answer my question without seeming pissed off. I tried having a simple conversation with him and he seemed like he was mad at me or something. DONT GO HERE IF YOU WANT TO HE TREATED WITH RESPECT!!

I dont want to give 1 star because I cant speak for their work because I came by the shop at 9:30 pm on Friday night with a few people. It appeared to be closed and i called with no answer. It would just be nice to know what your definition of late is because I didnt think 9:30 on Friday is late. Or at least a time that you for sure will be in the shop.

I will never go anywhere else. My tattoo, never bled or scabbed over. I slept on it the same night. It was never sore or anything. Matt is the best.

Stopped in and got my Nipples pierced and the guy that did them was very friendly and professional. Will definitely be returning. Thanks

Chuck is good. Some say hes rude but if you are serious about getting work he is great. Highly recommend.

Always had a good experience here, the staff is friendly, the place is clean and as long as you know your artist your tattoo has a lifetime warranty to be fixed and touched up

Absolutely no customer service. I was sent there by friends I trusted. Ink work goes outside the lines. Not realistic at all even though thats what I requested. Now Im looking for someone to fix it.
