Ben has been truly amazing. He has done all my tattoos and I couldn’t ask for a better artist. Plus, he is very welcoming and kind, which makes the experience even better. I highly recommend going to him for your tattoos!!!

My family and I have gotten multiple tattoos from this shop. They have been great every time. I’m currently working on a project with Ben and it has been a great experience watching my vision come to life.

I’ve been going to this tattoo shop for a few years now and I 100% recommended. The staff is all super friendly. Ben is absolutely amazing and has done a handful of my tattoos and always amazes me and exceeds my expectations.

Phil truly put in time and effort and figured out how to cover up my tattoo which was basically a giant black block in the middle of my forearm. I was very happy with the results that he actually did my whole sleeve, I’ll only get tattooed by him. I love how much detail he puts into it, the design, the theme. I get so many compliments on my sleeve and I always recommend Maximum Tattoo. I won’t go anywhere else.

I received no response to my email inquiry about my proposed design. My artist got the job done in < 30 min but despite this being my first tat we didnt exchange a single word. Im happy with my result but its clear from the other reviews that customer service isnt their thing here.

Brandon was our artist (matching tattoos).I have (roughly) 15 hours across 4 tattoos prior to today. Brandon was patient and made a few suggestions. He was ready for our appointment on time and met our previously discussed budget. Brandon was friendly (as was the rest of the staff) and this was by far the most painless experience I have had getting a tattoo.The shop was clean. Artist were busy, but also willing to help each other out.We had a VERY positive experience and we will be returning for more (new) work soon.

Maximum tattoo shop is always a great experience. I’ve had the pleasure of having Ben do some very detailed and amazing pieces on me! From his black and grey to the neo traditional work 1000% satisfied, to think I just wandered in there randomly last summer 10/10 would and do recommend!!!!

I was greeted quickly, and work was done with much attention to cleanliness and safety. I love how my artwork turned out! What I think would have made the experience more comfortable would have been the approachability of staff. There was an ongoing conversation amongst another customer and two staff members about something I could relate to, and I feel like I was unwelcome to even say a word. My artist himself barely spoke to me. What I would appreciate is that when someone is digging needles and ink into your skin, maybe help me feel less like Im at my in-laws house and more like I can just relax and have my artwork done.

The best tattoo shop around! I recommend asking for Ben! He’s a fantastic guy and an even better tattoo artist! 10/10

I have three tattoos from this place. Ben does some great work for tattoos with shading, especially black and grey. I also really want to call attention to Brent. I’ve gotten two tattoos from him which required a lot of line work. He has been consistent and steady-handed both times. With tattoos it’s important to see consistency because that instills trust in the customer, and I trust Brent a LOT. With both tattoos he’s done, I’ve given two images, one where I said “I prefer to it to look more like this with ___ incorporated from the other photo” and he got it spot on both times. From what I’ve seen on the socials, he does do a lot of traditional, but don’t overlook him for other work too because he’s a solid artist! You’re a rockstar Brent -and you’ve made me fan!

Brandon did an excellent job on my calf piece. He did some original art on this as I wanted to photo I gave him to be tweaked. He was super quiet and very engaged with what he was doing.Clean facility, nice staff, felt totally safe COVID-wise.10/10 will return.

I’ve gone to this place several times n always loved my tattoos. Yesterday I went for my first half sleeve n was taken back by the amazing work by Beth. I wanted a owl tattoo with the Navy anchor in memory of my parents. The design she came up with was beautiful. The detail is impeccable!! I’m so impressed n have already gotten soo many compliments on it already. She takes such pride in her work!! I’m not tech savvy or I would add the picture. Very satisfied!! Great place n fun people!!

Although Ive only dealt with 1 artist for 2 separate sessions. This place has a talented staff, Very clean and very professional. Check it out for yourself, their work speaks for itself!

Got another perfect portrait tattoo for my boy tommy. Tattoo shop is in a great location plenty of parking. Its in a strip mall, so theres a liquor store close by along with really good pizzeria. Very clean shop very friendly artists. And of course world class Tattoo work

I totally recommend this place 100%. All of the staff that works there is awesome. Im proud to say as a 65 year old woman that just started to get tattoos that I have my owen tattoo artist Miss Beth. She totally rocks. Love this place wouldnt go anywhere else. ❤️

Got my first yin yang- dragon tattoo done today by Beth, who did an amazing job. She made me feel very comfortable and it was nice talking to her. Her work is beautiful and detailed, I will most definitely be coming back to this tattoo parlor again soon!

I had an awesome experience here. I was looking for a place to get my first tattoo and maximum exceeded my expectations . Phil did an amazing job on my cross and rose. I was a first time customer and they were just awesome. Everyone was really nice and explained everything thoroughly. When you walk in the engery is great and, everyone is welcoming. My tattoo came out way better than I expected and this is definitely a shop I will be returning to for any future tattoos!

I got my first tattoo here and I absolutely love it. I came in for a consultation and estimate and Mr Ben offered to do my tattoo as a walk-in. About 1.5 hrs later, I have my first tattoo and Im smiling ear-to-ear, like a kid in a candy shop.In addition to Mr Ben, the entire staff was friendly and polite; they patiently answered my questions and gave me a very good price for my tattoo. I already have a 2nd tattoo planned and I definitely want to schedule Mr Ben again, and Im confident that all of the staff are amazing artistsThe shop is very clean and very well maintained. We did a walked in, Brent and Brandon took amazing care of us. They were patient and considerate. We didn’t get the biggest tattoos but they took the time to make sure everything was perfect. Super happy and excited with our new tats! Great work and super patient with new clients!! Would recommend and would certainly go back!

I got tattood by Brandon over here and he was very easy to work with. I came about 3-4 days before hand to talk with him and show him my idea for the tattoo. By tattoo day he already had the artwork ready to go and was perfect and the way I imagined it. He was also very nice about me deciding to fill in the tattoo at the last minute and was very nice and cool about it. 10/10 will come back again for future tattoos!

Absolutely unprofessional. My wife had set up an appointment 2 months in advanced and had even set a deposit. Due to her job she was very specific on her date. The tattoo artist was extremely rude and neglected to tell my wife in advanced that he had moved shop and forced her to reschedule. She was really excited to get it done on her birthday being that it was her only day off. It was going to be a great gift for her, unfortunately, she wont be getting her tattoo anytime soon thanks to the neglectful and unprofessional behavior from this artist. Do not support a business that allows this kind of behavior.

I read the most recent 1-start review about masks and receptionist being rude. Please dont confuse confidence and arrogance with customers service you would expect to get at a beauty salon. My experience with this team of people is the leader of the group is direct and absolutely professional. Received wedding ring tattoos and I have over 20 hours of tattoos and I lead a business of over 2,000 employees. I highly recommend this business and plan to get another tattoo from her soon!

I had an existing tattoo on my left arm of a lotus with tribal-style vines and leaves, and I wanted to turn it into a quarter-sleeve. Beth explained that the design would not lend itself well to a sleeve; however, she did offer ideas on how the tattoo could be elaborated and how some of the blank space could be filled in without cluttering the design. I took Beths advice, and am thrilled with the result. I was so pleased that I had her work on the rest of the tattoo, which runs down my back & onto my side. Beth managed to make the entire piece flow together beautifully. Before, I had felt that the three sections (arm, back, side) were almost separate. She added elegant shading and swirls that pulled the piece together. She also added shading to the lotus flowers, which made them pop and firmly established them as the focal point of the tattoo.In total, I spent almost six hours in the chair, and it was actually pretty fun, aside from getting poked by a needle the entire time. The shop is fantastically decorated and very clean. All the artists were friendly, greeted people as they came in the door, and were helpful answering questions and offering advice.Im planning to get another tattoo on my right side, and I will definitely be going to Beth. Her work is phenomenal, and shes a very cool person. :-)

Maximum service at Maximum tattoo.This place was great! Kind , friendly , quick, clean , and professional!I was worried about seeming cliche coming in for a name tattoo on Valentine’s Day, but these artists were professional. They made sure I got what I wanted and there was some jokes and laughter that also prompted my husband to get a tattoo as well. I really felt at ease here and we were happy with all aspects of this shops services.We will return to have more work done in the future and I hope this positive post will help share the news that they’re one of the better tattoo places around.

Professional and friendly staff, clean environment. I was a walk in and Kevin did some lettering for me. It has now healed and I am content with the result as it healed better than my first tattoo(although the bad healing on my first may have partially been my fault).All my anxieties about going to a new shop I had never been at before melted away fast. I came in without an appointment and Sara was happy to do a quick consultation. She helped customize the design in no time. The work she did for me was great! Super smooth shading, (very important to me) great line work, and professional. The price was right, the shop was clean, and the people that work there are cool and friendly. Will return. Thanks!

Phil is incredible I had my 1st tattoo done by him and about to get my 2nd one from him. The shop is highly professional and clean with great customer service. I strongly recommend going there if you are considering getting a tattoo.

The shop is clean, has fair pricing and is located in a great, easy to get to area. Thats about all the positive feedback I have.Ive gotten 3 tattoos here. My 1st 2 were done by Katie, who did a great job. My 3rd tattoo was done by Jim. The tattoo itself is beautiful (I basically created it before bringing it to the shop) however, the lines are all inconsistent and faded about 2 weeks into getting the tattoo. He added a shading around the flower that looks like a black and blue mark, that I did not want or ask for. There are areas in the feathers that have no color at all, and random black lines to make it look more realistic, which it does not.Even though I did not like the way Jim spoke to me, I had faith in this shop and gave it one last try. I brought my best friend here to do her thigh tattoo. It looks absolutely awful. (picture on the left) Between the poorly drawn petals on the flower and the random purple shading that again, she did not want or ask for, it looks like a toddler drew it onto her skin. She has since gotten it covered up, thank god. But what a waste of money!To end my experience at this shop, I went in with a friend 2 days ago to get another tattoo. Unfortunately, Jim was the 1 helping me once again. I explained to him what I wanted, and also mentioned that eventually I would like to get my thigh tattoo touched up. He asked to see it, so in front of everyone I took my pants down, he took 1 look at it and said there is absolutely nothing wrong with it. Then, called Katie over to ask her opinion. Her response was well it needs some lotion, but besides that its perfectly fine THAT WAS RUDE AF. Im sitting there with my pants down in front of staff and other customers and you are denying me a touch up AND disrespecting my skin. I of course did not get the tattoo I came in for after that bs.Their customer service is awful. Jim is rude, unprofessional, and not a good artist. I strongly advise everyone to go elsewhere if youre looking for a good quality tattoo

I came into this studio a week ago without an appointment and an hour before closing, so I was worried Id have to come back but it wasnt busy on that particular weeknight. I knew exactly what I wanted (albeit the color) and I had a great experience.Beth came up and helped right away, and gave me some info about the size and color of the tattoo I wanted. It was my first tattoo so I was a little nervous but since I learned Beth was the owner and she had been at it for 16 years I felt much better. The tattoo I wanted was very simple and all my questions were answered confidently. I was in and out within the hour. I brought my sister and friend with me, we talked and we had a few laughs too. Beth was great the whole time too, I love her attitude about everything and I appreciate her straightforwardness! The shop itself had lots of artwork up on the walls and everything was clean. If I ever decide to get another tattoo, I will go to Maximum Tattoo.

I just got my tattoo there from Rhino. I came in with 5 photos of ideas and he designed exactly what I wanted and did an excellent job. The shop is nicely decorated, very clean, & professional. Everyone was friendly and I had a wonderful time from start to finish. While I was waiting the staff were engaging & fun. During my tattoo I saw them greet anyone who came in nicely and you could tell they treat their customers like family. I was even sent home with a temporary tattoo for my daughter. Highly recommend!

Ask for anyone other then Brent!!I have gone here before multiple times to get some ink done and each artist I got did a phenomenal job!!! BUT my latest work was done by a red haired band member named Brent. I admit, I had fault for not saying no and continuing with it when I had no trust in him and felt uncomfortable but at that point ink was already permanently put on my body. Halfway through the process he tells me about his night before... THERE IS NO REASON someone should be PERMANENTLY ALTERING a persons body when they are HUNGOVER and have gone the previous night with NO SLEEP. I went in there a few weeks later to try and get my piece reworked on but the co-owner lady gave me a bad attitude and didnt want to help me or come up with a solution.I do hope to go in there one day to try and get something sorted out otherwise I will be utterly disappointed to take my business elsewhere when this place has proven themselves time and time again of how talented the artists are.

Ive gotten my two favorite tattoos here over a year ago. My biggest piece, done by Phil, is without exaggeration complimented everyday. Strangers, friends and coworkers are constantly admiring Phils piece of art. After a five hour session, Phil told me to come in again for a on the house two hour session. For free he added more shading and white ink which completely transformed the piece. I didnt think he could make it better, but of course I was proven wrong.Great people.Amazing artists.I would make this my to go to shop if I hadnt moved out of state.Keep up the great work & hospitality

This place is the best! Got 4 large pieces done here so farm many more to come. Kati continues to amaze me with the work shes done for me so far. Beth also has made killer additions to my fiances piece as well.

I’ve had all my tattoos done with Chris. If I’m confused on what I want, I’ve showed him a couple of ideas in the past and he somehow sketches something better than I imagined. Some of the tattoo placements I have, I had to somewhat reveal myself, but Chris was super professional and made me feel very comfortable with every tattoo I’ve had. Have an appointment to get my fourth one next week or so! My friends also go here and it seems like all of the artists there are super talented to say the least.

My review is based on a few visits Ive done over the course of a few months. Im going to be honest, Im not sure what her name was but she was one of the female tattoo artists, was kinda rude and acted like she didnt want to be working. I wanted a memorial piece for my dad. She didnt even shave my arm. She heavy handed me really badly while she rushed through leaving gaps in the tattoo that needed to be filled...and left it rather flat and detail-less. I went back a few weeks later. Phil did my much needed a touch up/fix up. He fixed everything. Made the tattoo come to life, was a VERY nice guy. I highly recommend him. Then lastly I saw Jim there once as well. He was very kind and funny. Talked to me about his daughter while he tattooed me. I also recommend him. Aside from my first negative experience I say its a pretty good place. Phil and Jim made me give the place another chance. :)

Went here for my first tattoo, not gonna lie was a bit nervous and didn’t know how to go about the whole process. They were very kind over the phone and told me they most likely would be able to fit me in on super short notice (45 minutes).Chris W understood my idea and I let him know my idea exactly and wanted him to take his own artistic skills into something awesome and he did jus that!He was super gentle tattooing me because I had told him I was a bit nervous about the pain and he was as gentle as could be.I’m coming back to this place forsure the whole ambiance of the place was lively and exciting. 5 out of 5 will be coming back!!!!!

All I gotta say is, PHIL IS THE MAN! Such a professional and talented artist. He really takes the time to listen and plan out what it is that you want. My wife and I got a “couples tattoo” for our anniversary and we are both very satisfied with Phil’s work. We are definitely going back to him in the near future. Thanks maximum tattoo!

Came in as a walk-in today with an ankle tattoo idea. Katie drew it up and I loved it on the 1st drawing. The process was very clean and quick. Pricing was also reasonable. I am very happy with my tattoo and service.

I’ve gotten 4 tattoos from this place 2 from Phil, 1 from Beth, and 1 from Ben and they all came out amazing! I’ve been to some places that were not so great and I can definitely say this is the only shop I will be going to from now on they’re great and super friendly!

Very happy with this place. Came in to have a previous piece redone because it was a total disaster. Katie took me in and fixed it for me the same day I came in. She did an amazing job. Everybody was very nice and very professional and the place itself is very clean and organized. They definitely know what they are doing here!

Went in last week to get a tattoo with my 2 sisters. Chris did all of ours and was extremely patient, talkative, friendly and funny. I was the last to get my tattoo done and couldnt take the pain but luckily Chris was super professional, gave me water, a sucker and blew the fan towards me. The tattoos look fantastic and I would recommend this shop to anyone.

I had stopped in 2 weeks prior to me getting a tattoo to get a quote .I was told it would be $50. When I called the day before to make an appointment after reading the reviews i wanted Jim . I was told no appointments taken. First come basis. Im a senior and was very excited to get my first tattoo ! My friends were just excited as me. I drove from Carpentersville, my friends from Chgo. Beth the tattoo artist was extremely rude and arrogant. I then refused to have it done. My friends said they felt the same about her, but really wanted me to have it done. They drove a long way to be with me , and I didnt want them to wait any longer, so I agreed and went with Beth. Small tattoo same color (lips) for $80 . Beth lost business for the shop cause of her attitude. . Beth needs training in customer service or possibly a new career . On a good note, We all agreed that Jim or Chris would be the ones to go to! They were working and had a fabulous attitude! To bad I didnt wait for Jim. If I did my first experience getting a tattoo wouldve been a positive one . Stay away from Beth. But definitely go to Jim or Chris!

Extremely friendly and definitely professional. I had Katie Cain Do my special tat and i couldnt of asked for a more kinder and professional tat artist. I will NEVER go anywhere else for a tattoo ever..I noticed ALL the tattoo artists were kind and professional here.This place here BLOWS EVERYONE AWAY...prices are EXTREMELY fair also..Absolutely....I consider them the BEST OF THE BEST.

The tattoo artist here are rude and unprofessional. The woman who was going to tattoo us “Beth” has the nastiest attitude and spoke rudely about us when she thought we were out of the shop, said that we were nit picky and should have emailed her what we wanted in advance.. which we did. She had an attitude her entire interaction with us and we were as nice as we possibly could have been. We waited an hour to be treated like trash and then waived away when addressed. The male artist here was also unprofessional and disrespectful speaking about his female clients like they were a piece of meat. I WOULD NOT recommend anyone coming to this shop, if you don’t want to be treated like a nuisance or with respect.

Upon first walking in, probably the very last word i would use for the receptionist or employees would be friendly. Not a single mask on any employees and dont ask customers to wear them either. Waiting area fills up quickly because its tiny and they pack their staff and clients being tattooed in the back like sardines. I know its a tattoo shop, but can we get the idea that tattoo shops are supposed to be grungy and all tough guy out of our heads please? I would much rather walk into a shop , that for starters cares about the health of their clients enough to wear a mask, but also is welcoming enough to make you feel like you (and your money) are wanted to be there. I would 100% recommend going to another shop who is inviting and happy to have you, more professional, and cares about your health.

I got 1 of my four tattoos here and it was by far the best place yet! Also, a bunch of family members have gone here too and have always had an awesome experience! Super friendly, talented, and nice people working there along with a super clean and well lit environment!

Very Happy!!! Chris fit me in the next day and was hilarious! Very comfortable and laid back oh and prices are really good too. I brought in a picture and Chris added to it and I’m glad he did. Listen to the artist people this is not amazon where you add to cart! They know what they are doing. And tip well! Chris you rock! By the way I had the “we the people flag”;).

Excellent skill. Professional and compassionate. First time tattoo and Chris put me at ease and maintained a steady hand with superior skill. My text tattoo looked clear and crisp and healing was swift. I would highly recommend Chris and Maximum tattoo.

Unfriendly owner, Beth. Went in to get a quote for a small wrist tattoo. She gave her expert advice, which I appreciate, saying the flower design was too detailed for a wrist. However, she would not offer any further design help other than get the tattoo in another location on the body and larger. When I asked if I could scale back the detail on the flower she said that would be “lame.” I asked for an example of a simper flower, she said, just look at my website. I am taking my business elsewhere.

I got my tattoo done today (Sunday). I read previous reviews and sure enough it was pretty slow because it was a sunday. Well I walked in and was greeted by Katie. I showed her an image i had designed on my computer and she worked with me to get what was realistically possible. Her design was great and she changed it up a little to more accommodate what i was wanting. before I left my house this morning i had a price in my head of how much Im willing to spend. Katie quoted me a price that was considerably under my max without me even saying anything. While I was getting worked on they had the flat screen tv on playing Amish mafia and Dual Survival. A great way to take the mind off the pain. She even offered me a bottle of water, no charge. So about two hours and some change later Im walking out with my new tattoo. She didnt press for a tip (i tipped anyway), didnt require cash over credit card, nothing. This shop is pretty awesome. Thanks Katie. Your my tattoo shop from now on. Well worth the 25 minute drive.

I looovvved my tattoo! The experience here was awesome! Chris was amazing! He did my coverup tattoo perfectly! It looks like it was never an old tattoo there in the first place! Everyone compliments it! Tons and tons of compliments!!! I plan on going back to get one more new tat done!

NO STARS!!!!!!!!!!A friend of mine got his tattoo done here against all my recommendations.Needless to say I was right... Chris did his tattoo the end result is far from what was discussed and another artist even asked if it was finished because it looks incomplete and there are EXTREMELY dark black lines and you can tell where he ran out of ink and blew out.Not to mention he hit on my sister like she was a piece of meat the entire time he was supposed to be paying attention to this tattoo if you cant focus on 2 things at once pick the one you are being paid for.Maybe my friend doesnt want to leave a bad review because whatever reason but, having to put another $600 into a tattoo to be fixed that you already spent a ton of money on is absolute ridiculousness.Please reconsider getting a tattoo here. I know my artist happens to be amazing and not all meet my standards but, this place is far beyond LOW rank in comparison.The sole fact that the lines in this tattoo are so deep black and harsh makes it impossible to change those lines which most of are actually unfinished it just fades off and nothing.............. I rather tattoo myself then ever get one done here. Then go to another shop to pay another $600 to fix it so it looks good.

Not only did they give me a very fair price, but everyone at the shop was great. Excellent service. Couldnt have asked for a more accommodating environment. I just had a tattoo done by Beth, the owner. She was kind and professional. I immediately felt welcomed in her shop. She also did amazing work! I will definitely be coming back for my next tattoo.

I have gotten 6 out of my 8 pieces done by Katie or Chris at Maximum and have never been disappointed. I got this one done last night and am absolutely in love with it. They do not disappoint with the work they do!

Really cool place, me and my mom came in as walk ins and they where able to take care of both of us right away. Really great atmosphere and people, will definitely be coming back for some more tattoos.

I hate to leave a 2 rating because I really wanted to be tattooed by Katie. I dont know her but have seen her work and was very impressed. Im from St .Louis and called to book some time. I was told that she does not book time over the phone and that Id have to drive there to book. Seems crazy to me that they will not accommodate out of town customers even if it means a non-refundable payment for their time up front. I had credit/debit card in hand.Boooooo! 😢😢

I went to get my first tattoo and when I was explaining to Beth what I wanted she told me I was micro managing my tattoo!!!!My FIRST tattooShe said she ll have a design ready for me in a week and it has been a month. Every time I call which I did 3 times she tells me she ll have it by the end of this week. STAY AWAY FROM HER. I ended up getting my tattoo somewhere else and I have not heard back from her yet.

Chris is really friendly and helpful. This was first tattoo for my wife and Chris gave us comfort that everything would be fine.We were not sure about the colors for the tattoo however Chris helped us in choosing colors for the tattoo as well.They first show you how the tattoo would look like using a sticker which gives idea about how the tattoo would look like.Ketty did the tattoo and I should say she is also good. There was little bit of blood while filling the colors however thats normal I think. Ketty made it quick but not in a hurry. In the end she also explained the dos and donts.We would surely get our next tattoos from Maximum tattoo and also recommend others to get the tattoo from here. \m/

As others have said , Beth is very rude. Bad attitude. Others are nice. Ive had two tattoos done here and they look okay, however I’m extremely disappointed that they refuse to do face tattoos. My plan was for this to be my shop that I always came to. My boyfriend wants our daughters name on his face, that’s his choice. Ik face tattoos are debatable but that’s HIS choice. I asked why not they said “ we want you guys to have jobs” he has his own company so that’s not even a problem. He could get a penis tattooed on his forehead and he’d still have a job. But they still so no. I get where their coming from but it’s not their body. Now I need to find a whole new shop to our regular shop and definitely am not looking forward to it.

I recently got two pet portraits done by Katie. She did a phenomenal job. I am so happy with how they turned out. Would definitely recommend. Thanks Katie :)

Got quoted $100 for a tattoo a few weeks ago when I came in to buy a gift card for a friend. Came in earlier today and the artist had the audacity to try and charge $280 for the same tattoo. Just line work, roughly 4.5 inches by 4.5 inches. Was buying the tattoo for my cousin, I have the same one and paid $80 for mine, my brother has the same one and was $100 for his so I thought the quote was fair. Ended up being a huge waste or time. Hopefully an isolated experience, but certainly not a good one.

This shop is the best. Consistently great quality work at really good prices. Beth is always awesome. She’s totally willing to bring my visions to life, but also totally comfortable telling me no when I’m too ambitious.

Chris did a couple of tattoos for me last Saturday, 1/28, and they turned out great. I will definitely be going back to Chris for more? He was funny and professional and made me feel at ease.

FINALLY I got my 1st tattoo, nothing like waiting till 50ish...thank god I did. I LOVE IT !!!!Phil did an amazing job, a beautiful tribute to my mother. No pain at all. Tears of JOY surly flowed however. Cannot wait for another. Huge thanks to my daughters for being there for me ♡♡♡

I went here because I live in the north suburbs and didnt feel like sifting through Chicago for a tattoo shop that may or may not be safe and clean or overpriced like the more well known places, then of course theres city parking which is a mind numbing hunt through what feels like a ridiculously huge mall parking lot. This shop had some pretty rave reviews, was fairly close to my apartment, and had their own parking lot. I went in on a Saturday and was lucky enough to get an opening on walk in. The girl at the desk got Chris to come help me out. He sketched up two tattoos, one for my wife, and one for me. Both were exactly what we saw in our heads which is a fabulous start! He sat me in the chair to get started, kept me feeling comfortable not only physically but mentally which is very important. If your mind isnt in the right place during a tattoo session then you go home disappointed no matter how talented the artist was, thats personal experience. So if you live up north and arent interested in grabbing 90 or 94 to fight traffic into the city, only to come off and fight traffic for a parking spot that may or may not be permit only, hit this joint up and you will be pleasantly surprised.

I wish I could give more stars. I was staying in the area for businesses and decided to get a tattoo. I wish I had places like this in Michigan! All of the staff are great, all have great personalities and make you feel right at home. I will drive back for my next tattoo!Thank you again!!

I went into maximum as a walk in appt and was lucky to be paired with Aaron! It was my first tattoo and he did a great job and made sure I was comfortable throughout the whole process.

Not a friendly place. I don’t know how this place has a 4.3 from the bad experiences I’ve read and had. I brought an image to give the artist an idea told him he modification I wanted But he ignored me and told he since it had to many lines close together he had to resize the image from what I wanted. I Told him alright that’s fine I don’t want too many line anyways he came back with the exact same image I gave him. He didn’t take into consideration my modifications to the image at all. He mistakes my frustration with nervousness and told me I looked nervous bc I was rubbing my head to much. I told him I’m not getting it and he responded with “i thought so.” So I made sure he knew I was getting it from there by saying “from here.” I went to chi town tattoo & body piercings where they were much nicer and made the exact changes I asked for.

Beth is an amazing and extremely accommodating artist. This place has awesome service regarding interpersonal effectiveness and outstanding results. Definitely going back for my next tattoo!

Friday 3/20/14 I had Chris tattoo a Hamsa design on my upper arm and I could not be happier! I just cant stop looking at it. Chris was very easy to deal with and the other artists there are great as well. This is my second tattoo from Maximum and again I am very satisfied with the outcome. I am 54 years old and look forward to putting more ink on at Maximum Tattoo in Deerfield. I suggest you do the same!!!!! Gregg Becker

I got my second and third, fourth... right through my fourteenth tattoo here. Maximum Tattoo is the place to go, its really as simple as that. The work is awesome by any of the artists. Youre making a mistake if you go anywhere else.

This is such a great place. Jim was my artist and he did a great job on my first time tattoo. He was really cool and funny totally recommend coming to maximum tattoo.

I got my first tatto at Maximum and i’m Relieved i chose a small one at the time. But the ink began to bleed and I can clearly tell where she started and ended. I wouldn’t come back here after going to Lizzie at Black Lace Ink in grayslake. Their skills are all smooth and careful.

Took my wife here for her birthday to get matching tattoos and they did a really good job. This was my first time and it was virtually painless. We will definitely be back for more.

The staff that works at Maximum Tattoo are rude. Also, prices are too high. I got a small tattoo. It took the artist ten minutes, and I got charged $100.00.

Stopped in today for a tattoo. The girl at the front desk acted as if we were disrupting her entire day. She didnt want to help us or offer any assistance. I got several tattoos here in the past. But I wont go back again. It a shame thatone bad enployee can wreck a business.

The tattoo artist here are rude and unprofessional. The woman who was going to tattoo us “Beth” has the nastiest attitude and spoke rudely about us when she thought we were out of the shop, said that we were nit picky and should have emailed her what we wanted in advance.. which we did. She had an attitude her entire interaction with us and we were as nice as we possibly could have been. We waited an hour to be treated like trash and then waived away when addressed. Wouldn’t recommend anyone coming to this shop if you don’t want to be treated like a nuisance as if a tattoo isn’t permanent.

Came in really tired and really hungry and still had a great experience. love the shop and Katie did a great job covering a neck piece for me.

I recently walked in on Saturday to get a tattoo of my fave band logo and I had Chris as my tattoo. Chris is AMAZING!!! I am so happy with my tattoo and I WILL be back for sure!

Ya know i thought this place was Gunna be cool it sure wasnt arrogant tattoo artist and arrogant for no reason the work I got from the BIG girl sucks faded like instantly and she didnt even do the tattoo right waste of money have to pay to get it fixed but since its all scared up from this lack of professionalism do not recommend this place or at least the big ole arrogant chick btw I have over 50 tattoos the three I got from this place all need to be redone thanks for stealing my money basically
