Tempest Tattoo Studio

I’ve been visiting Tempest for years. I’ve been tattooed by Chris, Jen, and Shelby, as well as pierced by Shelby (and Chris when he was piercing). Everyone is fantastic. Talented, friendly, funny, caring people. And the front guys, Gator and Alec are spectacular at what they do, too. The shop is beautiful, well decorated, and always spotless. The work that leaves this shop is honestly the best. I can’t recommend Tempest enough!

Jen exceeded my expectations for reworking/fixing my medusa tattoo that I had done at a previous shop . The piece turned out absolutely stunning and definitely makes me feel more confident. I couldn’t have asked for anything better. Everyone there was very helpful and makes you feel welcomed.

This is my go to place for tattoos and piercings! All of the artists here are super friendly and easy to work with. I am currently working with Chris on a sleeve of my pets and the quality of his work is unmatched. Definitely recommend him for any realism work.

Took my daughter to get her ears pierced today and could not have been more pleased. From the first phone call until we were walking out the door - SUPERB customer service! Even got some jewelry for myself (they have a whole room!) We will 100% be back and have already told our friends and family to come check them out as well.

Took my 2 teens for piercings today, Shelby was great with them and made the process easy and fun, even when one got a little light headed from seeing and feeling the needle. They quickly supported them and had them feeling better in no time. They are both thrilled with their new nose piercings

Just got my first tattoo here absolutely great environment and great work with the tattoo.

We went in with an idea of what we wanted. Made an appointment and Jen nailed it. It was our first tattoo and she made us feel very comfortable. Very happy with our art.

Amazing atmosphere, where each artist has created their own world in their booth. In the front they offer a wide variety of incense and the aromatic combination can be a little too much for some folks to handle, but that shouldnt deter you from checking them out. They have a huge selection of body jewelry. They are extremely clean!!! Thank you Jared Warf, cant wait to come back.

About 8 years ago my kid had a traumatic experience at Claires. One ear pierced fine but the other one jammed up. The ear bled a lot and it took her nearly a week to get the bent piece of earing out. She has always wanted her ears pierced and I took her to Tempest. The place was clean and the people were nice. They used the right equipment (a needle and clamp) instead of a machine. Shelby knew exactly the right size stud to put in considering the scar tissue Claires left behind. She did a great job. They are perfect and the kid is very, very happy! Thank you Tempest!

Had a tattoo done today by Shelby, she was absolutely amazing!!! All of the staff were super friendly and professional, all around great atmosphere. After waiting six years in between tattoos I was incredibly nervous not to mention I’m a nervous person in general. Shelby was super calming, she listened to exactly what I wanted, and didn’t get bothered by me changing my mind on the design few times lol. I love my new tattoo and would hands down recommend this place to everyone. I have another appointment next week and I can’t wait to see how my next tattoo turns out!!!

This shop is super clean and the staff are truly professionals. They are super friendly and welcoming from the moment you walk in. Ive gotten several piercings from Shelby and had tattoo work done by Chris. I highly recommend this shop.

I have been twice for piercings, and once for my kiddo. Shelby is like a golden retriever--upbeat, comfortable, and helpful. She wants your experience to be positive and seems to genuinely enjoy her experience as well. Everything is professional without being rigid. High five, my dude!

After several months of dealing with long haul covid junk, and hearing that septum piercings could possibly help, I gave into impulse and called Tempest. The gentleman on the phone answered every single question I had, and I had several as this was not really something I ever saw myself doing.Shelby, was an absolute gem! She explained every detail and step she was doing. She has just such amazing energy about her and helps keep the calm in the room. Both of the folks I dealt with asked me more questions about whats going on more than MDs have cared to ask to help. They didnt even know me, but after hearing what I was going through, were immediately in my corner hoping it would help.Best impulse decision ever! So grateful for the care and thoroughness and patience they both carried and conveyed. I have already told several folks about them. So grateful to live so close to a place I would 100% go back to. Got a stacked-piercing in my left ear. Shelby (piercer) was awesome and precise. A little expensive, but all-in-all, it is worth every penny. 👍🙂

100% love this place! Chris has done all of my piercings since I first went there in early 2016 and they have all turned out great. Jacob did a full back piece on me that Im in love with, and gets complimented on every time I go swimming. The atmosphere is amazing and they truly care about the work that they do. Each artist here has their own specialty and they will point you to which one of them will give you the best of what you want. I wont go anywhere else!

Shelby did a great job with my nose piercing. She was very personable and made me feel at ease. After years of wanting my nose pierced but fearful of needles, so glad I did it and had a great experience at Tempest Tattoo

OMG, Chris is absolutely amazing. He did even better then I was expecting. I cannot say enough great things about him. He is professional but so down to earth and personable. The staff at Tempest top notch. Its funny that I get asked ALL the time in surrounding cities about where I get my work done and nobody expects the answer to be in Dickson. That being said, its WELL worth your time to drive here. Chris, Jacob, Alec, and the rest of the team there will treat you awesome and make sure youre comfortable at all times. Highly recommend!

I feel very comfortable going here. Jacob has done three tattoos for me. He is so particular about his work its awesome, he is a great artist! Wont go anywhere else! I got this tattoo when I was 19 and just had it fixed 16 years later. I love love love it! No more spider legs!

I love everything about this place! The atmosphere is great, the staff are professional and friendly, all workspaces are super clean. Chris did an amazing job on my piercings and Jacob did an outstanding job on my tattoo!! I cannot wait to go back to this place for more tattoos and piercings!! I highly recommend this place, you will most definitely leave with a smile on your face!

Always have a great experience. Artists are all super talented and super supportive of one another. Just a great environment, overall. Plus the front desk guy is a bit of a wild card, which is fun.

I can specifically say that Jared and Jacob are 2 of the best around here. There are other artists there as well but I havent seen their work so I cant testify to them but I have known Jacob for many years and he is a blue blood when it comes to tattooing. As for the place itself, very nice areas. I rate them at 5 stars.

Nice clean, and organized studio. I loved the decor and the staff were so comfortable and friendly. I enjoyed my artist, Chris. He did a very speca piece for me and it turned out to be amazing. Definitely coming back for another piece with this studio 💕

Went to get a couple piercings and Chris was amazing kept a professional manner the whole time comfortable atmosphere very clean shop and the guys were all very friendly making me feel extremely welcomed. Was the first time I went to the shop but definitely will recommend them to others as well as go back myself for my next addition

Jacob Demoss has been completely patient with me and my idea for my tattoo..... He is awesome. Its a great environment. The problem who work there are chill. Just a relaxing place to be, or even go to.

Got an tattoo from Jacob, who did an amazing line work job. All the guys there are excellent, and the prices were extremely fair. Definitely recommend to anyone looking to get a tattoo/piercing in the Dickson area.

I got my nose pierced and an old tattoo touched up for a reasonable rate and excellent quality and service.

Dath piercing had it done on October 1 for headaches I was having daily very bad headaches and I have Titus which is ringing in my ears SHOUT out to the lady that did my daith piercing did a wonderful job I know the cant say it works but Im grateful I did this NO headaches it was my last choice be for going to Doctors and my Titus has calmed down alot so glad thats calmed down had no clue it would help that Im super happy thank you for a awesome job I tell everyone where I had it done

Disappointed in this shop. I was really excited to go when I made my appointment, but when I got there, I was basically ignored by my artist. She wouldnt talk much (which I can understand). It was a bluebonnet flower that has a lot of meaning to me. Not even a month after I got my tattoo, it faded tremendously! So much so I am having to get it retouched. I know color fades fast, but only after a few months? Had high hopes for this place.

I dont know why this place has so many good reviews. The line work is crap and creativity is lacking. My seven year old could come up with better work than this place provides. Actually, Im pretty sure I e gotten better work at 15 by a kid with a guitar string. Honestly, dont waste your time even looking, what kind of artist doesnt even know the difference between watercolor and traditional? Pathetic.

Jacob is a personable fine young man who has been blessed with incredible talent! His detail work is superb! And, as he said no pain! He has every State of the Art computer systems, tattoo guns that are futuristic, and he is OCD with his sterile set up.Thank you, Jacob! We shall be back!!!!

Went in due to interest in daith piercing due to it being a possible help for my chronic migraines. 5-6 a week. The meds not working and the jump in ER visits made me realize I really had to try this. Chris was up front and honest with me the whole time. Was very pleased with professionalism. I have many allergies to metals. I thought all I could use was gold. Chris told me about titanium. Not hypo allergenic but NON allergenic! Bought a replacement wedding band in titanium with no problems. He always let me know the next step and was able to do my piercing with only two bee sting like pains. (Granted I live in pain everyday. So my pain scale will b different than yours). RIGHT AWAY after he had the ring in my ear my neck quit hurting and the headache I had was gone. Hoping it lessens the migraines as well. Thank u Chris for doing your job well. Not saying its a fix for everyone but if you have migraines you have nothing to lose and everything to gain by seeing Chris at Tempest Tattoos!

Sent over the picture of my tattoo I was wanting to get the day before my appointment and when I got there they had not even looked at it so I had to wait for the artist to try and draw it up real quick and after several tries it did not look anything close to what I wanted. He said I would have to reschedule due to lack of time. Could not get my deposit back. Very dissatisfied

My daughter and I went for their Friday the 13th special. I am happy I went. The line was long but they planned well. Every person we came in contact with was wonderful. I highly recommend them to anyone.

Loved what Jacob did for me. It was a cover up of a cover up basically and some how pulled it off. Still have a ways to go but couldnt be happier with what he did. Been praising this place ever since.

I was very disappointed with my naval piercing I had done here. After I had received the piercing, it seemed crooket to me so I asked the piercer about it and he said it was completely normal and that it looked that way because of the swelling. Well, sadly, later on when the swelling went down it was even more crooket than before and looked awful. Now it looks like I got the piercing on the side of my naval rather than the top.

I got my eyeliner tattooed on by Carlie And I am very happy. The building was clean and unique. Everyone was friendly. I would recommend them.

Chris is the absolute best at piercing. If you have migraines I highly recommend you have him pierce your daiths, mine have been a life saver.
