Pinnacle Body Piercing

I dont normally post reviews but I went in to get my nostril pierced today and had to make an exception... I was super nervous going in for several reasons, including this being my first real piercing, and my lovely social anxiety. Scheduling online was super easy and a total blessing, no uncomfortable phone calls or painstaking paperwork the day of. The preparation info was incredibly helpful and gave me an idea of what to expect. However, the thing I felt most anxious about was how the atmosphere of the studio would be, and how the artist would treat me, because you cant feel that out just through reviews. Suffice to say, Randi was amazing. Straight to the point and seemingly very experienced, she was totally honest about what would work best and the industry standards that she follows. That being said, she wasnt blunt or rude, I could tell that she loves what she does and has a system that works (well, might I add). The piercing was quick and easy, and I loved how she made sure you understood and heard every step. The prices are honestly more than fair considering the quality of her work. Thank you for an amazing experience, I love my new piercing and will definitely be coming back!

Randi was so informative with my piercing! I went in Saturday to get my nose pierced and was slightly anxious about it. Randi walked me through all the steps and had me take a deep breath in and out when she went to pierce it. This was super helpful. I can’t wait to go in to have my jewelry switched out when it’s healed. 10/10 recommend.

As someone in the beauty industry, I am always very mindful of best sanitary practices, and Randi and her shop are extremely clean!! She’s deliberate about making sure you know everything is sterile, which I really appreciate. 10/10 will definitely go back for my next one

This was definitely a professional and amazing spot to get ears pierced! This is not anything like the traditional experience at the mall, but in a great way. Expect to pay more and get much more value for superior service, cleanliness, and quality jewelry. Randi was so good with my daughter, making us feel comfortable with each step and knowing exactly what to expect. She spent over an hour with us privately, being the only clients in the salon. Id recommend anyone wanting a piercing to make an appointment.

I don’t usually leave reviews at all but I felt like I needed to share my not so great experience. I stopped in for an industrial piercing, and I have a cartilage on the other ear so I already knew the pain level and healing process. I was told that the cartilage piercings were a pretty painful one, but my other didn’t hurt at all, as I have a very high pain tolerance, so I was prepared for it.The piercer was informative and made sure the placement was correct before starting, which I always appreciate. But when they started the piercing, it felt as tho it wasn’t a clean puncture and it went halfway through before finishing. It hurt so bad and I felt very lightheaded. If my pain tolerance was any worse I definitely would have passed out. When they did the second hole for the piercing it felt like a cleaner smoother puncture, but still hurt a lot nonetheless.I also talked to a couple other friends of mine with the same piercing that got it done at different shops, and their pain level was nowhere near as bad as mine. Not to mention that they paid about $30-$40 less than I did. When going in I definitely wasn’t expecting to pay $100 plus tip.I was forced to take it out today, after only a week. And I know it obviously takes a long time to fully heal, but as mentioned previously, I do have another cartridge piercing, and this new industrial was healing much worse. I’ve been in 9-10/10 pain level everyday since getting it. And it was very red and swollen, much worse than it should have been. I also believe they used too long of a bar, bc it was stretching out my ear anatomy and now both of my ears look much different from each other. (My antitragus is usually very raised and visible, and now it is completely flat from being stretched to the limit for the last week).I don’t plan on going back to this shop.**the picture shows that my ear is stretched and my ear anatomy is changed

Randi is kind, attentive, and knowledgable. I have a tendency to get lightheaded with anything that involves needles, and she was very understanding and accommodating to that. I originally made my appointment to get an industrial, but she explained to me that I didn’t have the right anatomy for it, and it would most likely reject. I appreciate that she is concerned about the healing process, and not just doing the piercing and sending you on your way. I ended up getting a daith piercing instead, and I absolutely love it! I would return here for future piercings.

Randi was so kind and patient with my 11yo who came in to get her ears pierced today! My daughter was so nervous and anxious (I almost thought she was going to change her mind at the last second), but Randi was very sweet/calming with her, and talked her through everything that she was going to do and when she was going to do it. The actual piercing was so quick, and my daughter was thrilled! She was also very informative about the healing process, and how to treat the ears in the meantime.

Second time I’ve come here to get a piercing done, first was my septum and now my lip. Randi is very thorough, straight forward, knowledgable and experienced. Exactly the type of person I would trust sticking needles in my face.

I recently got my bridge piercing done here. First time ever going to this place. Randi is amazing. Extremely professional all around, and I will be going to them again! After 14 years I’ve realized what a rip off and how amateur the processes here are at Pinnacle. Uneven piercings, jewelry that is constantly falling out , ETC. Randy, the owner, does her best to keep up with high demand of appointments but the last five appointments i’ve shown up to she was running behind 15 minutes which turned into 40 minutes and I was asked to give her privacy and “go for a walk”. This also happened to me in the winter months and I was literally freezing outside when she has a perfectly good couch/waiting room.Additionally, other clients will walk in during your service and she will have to kindly ask them to go for a walk around the block because she’s constantly overbooking herself and running behind her scheduling times.Last time I made an appointment online, she texted me saying someone else really wanted that appointment and without asking she canceled it on my behalf and didn’t answer when I reached out to reschedule.Luckily, every single person in Dover has a piercing so she will never go out of business. But after going to Grimm North in Portsmouth I realized how I was being taken advantage of for the last 14 years by somebody who doesn’t even know what they’re doing AND I tipped her every single time even when I was just doing a jewelry changeout. I’m embarrassed that I didn’t try to find someone else sooner.

I am terrified of needles - to the verge of passing out. She is a needle-phobic persons dream. She was calm, reassuring, walked through every step, accommodating and patient. If you want a piercing and your nervous about the needle, pain, or the process, this shop is the place to go. The only tears I experienced were tears of joy for how little it hurt. I got my septum pierced by Randi at Pinnacle today and she was absolutely incredible! Everything was explained to me very thoroughly during the entire process and she was extremely professional and gentle. I had only ever had my ears pierced when I was a kid so I was pretty nervous going in but Randi immediately helped melt all my anxieties away! 11/10 recommend going here for any piercing needs and will definitely be returning :)

Randi recently did my teens first ear piercing, she was awesome talking him through it all and the earnings came out nice an even.About 2 weeks in one earring got pulled a bit and formed and infection. We ended up consulting with Randi after spending a week attempting to clean it at home. She fit us in same day and was so calm and confident that we could get it all fixed up. She changed out the jewelry for us, gave us alternate backing to help the ear heal and even checked in a few days later to make sure we were on the right path. Her dedication to making sure everyone is happy and healthy is amazing! We will continue to visit Pinnacle Body Piercing and will be recommending Randi highly to anyone who needs her services.

I knew I wanted a legit piercer and not a Claire’s type earring gun for my daughter’s first piercing. I asked for recommendations for piercings for children and the rave reviews for Randi came pouring in. My kiddo is young (4) but has begged and begged for earrings. We were talked through the process and aftercare EXTREMELY thoroughly, and we were able to take some time between ears to walk around and recover. Knowing there’s be pain was a little different than the reality of just how much it hurt, and she was patient and kind to let us do what we needed to do. Even after some tears, she walked out grinning that she looked like a princess. We celebrated with ice cream and she hasn’t stopped talking about her earrings since ☺️

Best experience Ive had getting a piercing. Randi (?) re-pierced my septum, talked me through the whole process, and was just all around super sweet. I mistakingly told her I got it done first at Hobos but it was Body Creations who first pierced it.She did a MUCH better job than they did, and Im so glad she used a larger gauge. Love it. I will be going back for my lip when the times right.

I went with my cousin yesterday to have our ears pierced for the first time and Randi was awesome! She was patient, experienced, explained the procedure and what she was doing, and answered all of our many questions. The piercing was quick and practically painless--and her tools and the room itself were clean. On top of it all, she offers excellent prices! We both had a great experience, and I plan to come back for more at some point. Definitely get pierced here!

I had an amazing experience getting my industrial piercing! Randi was personable and informative. She walked me through everything I needed to know and discussed placement and jewelry with me before we actually did the piercing. Googled piercings on line near me. I had four choices and two were a chain company I was not interested in. Pinnacles came up as well. Read the reviews of past clients and I text Randi to see if I could get an appointment that day. I was in luck as she had a cancellation. She gave terrific directions of her location and a explanation of her criteria of her business. All was great. Arrived at my appointed time. Randi’s business was very clean. She explained the procedure throughly, and I have to say my ear piercing was painless. Randi was very pleasant, friendly and very professional. Had gotten my daughters ears pierced for her 8th birthday (it’s hard to find places that do younger than teenagers other than places like Claire’s with piercing guns) a few months ago and the entire experience from start to finish was amazing. She was a pleasure as an individual and knew exactly what to say to calm my daughter down with the pressure and anxieties of getting your ears pierced! Her studio is an amazing setup as well with a very welcoming calm atmosphere- 10/10 recommend! 🙏🏻

She made me feel comfortable and informed, walked me through the piercing process as well as the equipment she would be using and the sterilization process for the tools, and pierced me quickly and with minimal pain (Im a bit of a wimp). By talking to me the whole way through, Randi ensured that I got final say as far as jewelry and placement options while still making sure that I made the best choices within her knowledge as a professional piercer. I went to Pinnacle for a genital piercing. Randi made everything very comfortable and professional. She talked me through the piercing, was thorough with her information about aftercare, and was friendly the whole way through. The entire studio was clean and she her covid-specific precautions were very evident.

Everything was very clean and sanitary, the service and prices were excellent, and the owner was extremely helpful and honest. She went through every step before and again during the piercing process, which I found helped calm my nerves and made it much less painful. She was ready to answer our questions about taking care of our piercings afterwards as well. Randi is THE BEST. I have been twice now, over the last 3 years and each time was the same. She is super knowledgeable and thorough in her explanation of the process and honest but not pushy with her opinions. Her prices are so reasonable, would highly recommend.

This was the best piercing experience I’ve ever had. I felt 100% comfortable and while I’ve had issues with other piercings (infections/sensitivity), I was never made to feel dumb for asking questions or inquiring about the process. I am so happy with my piercing and will definitely come back when I’m ready for another one!

I just pierced my ear today, and the piercer made it super easy and comfortable to get it done. She counted down before inserting the needle through my ear. She explained the whole process before doing the step she described. She told me the process of taking care of my ear and what not to do to make it heal faster. She also said you can contact her with any questions which is amazing. If I was going to get another piercing, I would come back here again. Though it was a hard place to find, it was worth finding. Just look for the sign piercing and youll find it.

Never responds to messages. No phone number to call- will send you away if you walk in. Extremely unprofessional! I had several issues with my piercing within a month of having it done and reached out on many occasions for advice or help- and no response. If you are someone who has difficulties with piercings or have a question after you pay- be warned! This place just cares about your money… once they get your money don’t matter.

Im 14, I went to get my lip pierced and she was like really nice about it surprisingly, everyone other pierced was being douchey about it, she told me to make sure I really wanted this and I did, so she pierced my lip.

I don’t know why they bother having a phone number if no one’s gonna answer the phone. I’ve called his place like 20 times in the last two days. I obviously emailed them my question (not answered still), but if they are open you’d think someone would pick up a ringing phone.

Very easy and cool she talked me through the whole thing the anxity is way worse than it really is.

Place isnt even called this . It says Portsmouth piercing co. On the sign. It says on Google they open at 12. I traveled there just to find out theyre not even open till 1230. I havent even been inside and Im just not impressed by any of it.
