Shop was clean, Rick is friendly, & does excellent work. He was able to meet me same day with only like a 30 min notice. It came out better than I imagined & his line work is on point. Ill 100% be going back.

Slick’s Tattoo Studio is by far the best. He does amazing work. Rick takes his time and shows pride in his work. His line work is krispy and his shading is perfect.

This is absolutely the best tattoo shop in Rockingham County, hands down. Rick and I discussed what I wanted and he did exactly that. My mother passed Nov 19 2022 and on her birthday Jan 9th 2023, I finally got the tattoo I will most definitely cherish for the rest of my days! Rick was super easy to get along with he was flexible with his and my time. Shop was clean and amazing. He was very very professional on all levels when I visited him! I am extremely pleased and grateful for all hes done! I recommend him to anyone and everyone!! His work will speak for it self. The tattoo is of her original handwriting and favorite color. I plan to add on to the tattoo asapUPDATE: Just got my second tattoo from Rick and I am absolutely blown away! Amazing work once again! Updated with pictures of new tattoo 🩵💙💜

I have gotten two good size tattoos by slick tattoos and I absolutely love both of them and love how he combine the both of them to look like one… and it’s by far my favorites ever… he takes his time, very neat and just absolutely amazing at the work he does for anybody… go see him for a tattoo you wouldn’t be disappointed at all!!

I came to Rick not only because I have known him and his Mom for a while, because well its a small town but because he was highly recommended and his work did not disappoint. He was very proffesional and did a couple of butterflies for me in remembrance of a very close friend of mine. I messaged Rick on September 24, 2021 inquiring about getting a tattoo for my birthday. We set up an appointment for October 9, 2021 at 11:00. He asked for a $100 deposit to guarantee my spot so I sent it to him thinking everything was all taken care of. Fast forward to the morning of October 9th, I arrived for my appointment time at 11:00. After waiting in the car for about 15 minutes with no sign of him I messaged him on his work Facebook. I waited for about 10 minutes with no response. I then messaged his personal Facebook and called the number that is listed on the door of the shop. Again no response. After waiting until 11:45 with no sign or response from him I finally left. I then messaged him explaining that I had been there for 45 minutes and that I would need my deposit back. He finally messaged me that afternoon at 3:30 pm and said “Okay I’m sorry. I’m dealing with some family issues.” I totally understand if he had something going on with his family so that wasn’t a big deal anymore I just wanted to make sure I got my deposit back. He didn’t message me back until October 11, stating that he has a new card coming in the mail he wouldn’t be able to send it back until he gets it. Another excuse but I just went with it giving him the benefit of the doubt. That next week I haven’t heard anything from him so I messaged him checking on things and he never messaged back. On October 15 I messaged him stating that I was in town again for the weekend and I can come by to pick up the deposit if I could. He then preceded to tell me that his shop was closed for the weekend so I couldn’t do that. Again another excuse. Fast forward to today October 23rd, I still haven’t received anything so I messaged him asking if there were any updates. He ignored me, until I told him that if I did not get it I would take legal action. It was less then a minute after I sent that he finally sent me my deposit back. Rick Huskey is extremely unprofessional and he shouldn’t be in business.

Left message to schedule an appointment. Did not hear anything for a couple of days so decided to stop by shop and it was closed. No indication as to why. Disappointing because his work looked good.

Rick is an excellent tattoo artist he did my entire sleeve half my chest and part of my sleeve included a cover-up and fixing another persons work hes actually quite fast light-handed and pushes through I didnt want to take a break so he wouldnt take a break only one thing I can say about Rick hes kind of hard to get in touch with but its worth it and its prices are the best in town
