Bohemian Tattoo

I went for the first time during one of their feminist flash Fridays and got a key symbolizing the Palestinian right of return. Galen works fast but his lines and the way he built the shading was super clean. This tattoo was one of my quickest to heal. Had a great convo with Galen and Duglas during my appointment—its a relief to have tattoo artists whose beliefs align closely with mine. Im already in the talks with Galen about my next piece. Also bought a sick floral print off Galen!

Awesome shop with great atmosphere. Galen is a cool dude and does great photo realism work which I really appreciate. It was my first tattoo but he got it done quick and painlessly. I frickin love this thing on my arm. Definitely check him out in Eureka.

Clean shop. Good music. Galen, was a complete professional. He has a light touch and solid line work. Enjoyed the session and can’t wait for the next one in a month. Session two was equally enjoyable.

Went in for a flash with my partner--had a great experience. Alejandro did an impeccable job with our tattoos. Was very kind and made some beautiful art! A lot of the art in the shop is traditional tattoo style, but these guys do all sorts of styles. Alejandro has some really cool Mayan designs, though we ended up going with a botanical. Highly recommend this shop. Clean, great to work with, and of course great artists!

I had a great experience at Bohemian Tattoo! I chose one of the flash designs, and made an appointment with Galen. This was my first color tattoo, and Galen made it look so stunning. He was very encouraging and quick with his work. They had music videos playing on a large TV nearby, which was a very necessary distraction at certain points in the tattoo. I’m eager to return to Bohemian Tattoo for another in the future! Thank you Galen for my beautiful red poppy! It is healing so bright already.

Went in for my first tattoo. (He didnt know that) . Galen was very nice, great conversation when i did talk, funny , super knowledgeable. you can tell he loves what he does. Very lighthanded and awesome at what he does.super clean shop, great atmosphere. Well worth the price you get what you pay for. Im looking forward to getting more done and bouncing some ideas off him in the future.

Alejandro Montes is so skilled and so kind. He was really patient making adjustments to the design so that it was just what I wanted. His lines are so clean, he ensures you’re comfortable, and the shop is spotless. I would highly recommend him.

One of the best tattoo experiences I have had, a lot of patience and care went into this appointment. Definitely coming back in the future. Took 2.5 hours and it turned out awesome

Awesome experience and great work. I had walked in a day prior to ask about my sister and I getting some tattoos and they werent open for business but they took my name and number and called me the next day to ask if I could come in. We went in and both didnt have a solid idea on what we wanted but both artists drew up each tattoo pretty quick and gave us some unique art we get to keep forever! Would definitely go back and get more work from both Galen and Alejandro (Duglas) .

Wonderful experience with a lovely person. I went in for his flash Friday tattoo special and chose to get a sunflower on my leg. The shop was immaculate, he took care to make sure everything was sparkling clean for me. Galen was kind, professional and there are so many cool things to look at in his shop while youre laying around getting tattooed! I am over the moon for my little sunflower and would definitely recommend to friends.

Got my first tattoo with Galen today. He was super professional, precise, and gave me what I feel to be good recommendations. After care is easy to follow. The cost was fair. All in all it was a great experience.

Love Galen’s work. He has strong attention to detail and easy to bounce ideas off of. I love his color work but I’m a huge fan of photo realism. I used to get tattooed by him in the bay area and now make the journey all the way to Eureka to continue getting work by him. Super clean shop too

I had an awesome experience here and would not hesitate to recommend Galen to anyone. Galen does amazing work and is very detailed, my tattoo couldnt have come out any better. He is friendly and really listens to what you want and offers advice without being condescending, which is very much appreciated. The shop itself is also extremely clean and sanitary, and his pricing is fair. Galen did a wonderful job and made me feel comfortable and I will definitely be going to him for future tattoos.

We called last minute for a two-fer tattoo. Not detailed and small. Fly by tattoos are never best case scenario. I enjoyed the ambience of the shop, the artists were super chill. A little heavy handed as it appeared it was not a super seasoned artist. Still quite pleased with the outcome, the price was steep. It’s also in old town Eureka so the price while steep is what I would expect for downtown artists. 7/10 recommend.

Had my very first tattoo here and I couldnt be happier with my choice! I was very nervous and scared going in (I was quite afraid of the idea, but wanted to overcome that fear as well as get something I really wanted on my body), but both Shane and Galon made me feel relaxed and comfortable. Their artwork is fantastic and you can tell they genuinely care about what they are doing. They are easy to talk to, friendly, and very professional. Would recommend this place to anyone who brings up getting a tattoo, and I am definitely planning on getting more in the future from Galon.

Galen is an amazing artist and awesome dude. I had been wanting a space themed piece for my upper left arm for awhile but wasnt able to find the right artist for me. When I saw this mans work, I knew he was who I wanted to do it. I couldnt be happier with the end result. Highly recommended.

I came in to get a 13-year anniversary present, 22nd of June. He canceled two appointments for family things. Cool, fine, right. He sends one picture of a mermaid. Like 3 weeks later. It should have been pinup girl-like, not little-mermaid-like and it needed fairy wings.. My wife n kid spent weeks drawing and designing tatoos from random pics online. Tracing it from printed pictures off a borrowed printer.Galen, (might have spelled that wrong, we didnt speak much), had sent one more picture over the next 3 months that looked like the same as the first. Thats it, September 22nd. He hasnt kept in touch. He doesnt set any appointments. I live In Shelter Cove so thats 2hrs away. And he canceled those appointments that were set in the first three weeks, on the same day, for his family, so I was cool...but I still missed work, drove up there and lost money on food and for a tattoo artist who took my whole 200 dollar deposit. When I asked for just half of it back so we could call it even, he said no. Dont trust this guy... theres more but...if u you know u know

One of the best tattooists in Sonoma county. Theres so much that can be said about how Galen has mastered every style; from bringing life to the Rat Fink style, to the realistic portraits of people and animals. You really have to check it out yourself. I wouldnt take my business anywhere else.

He is a perfectionist, he worked with the stencil 4 times as it tapered around my arm. I couldnt see the back side he could have just gone ahead with it. His detail line work is precise an his artistic talent is beautiful

Lovely work by Galen! Got a small tattoo to represent my lovely cat and he took the time to reposition the stencil perfectly and did extremely well with the little details. I was very impressed and it was very well worth the $150 I paid for a walk-in. The quality of the work and the overall cleanliness and friendliness of the shop and its keepers will absolutely keep me coming back. Good tattoos arent cheap, cheap tattoos arent good!
