Sam did a great job. I couldnt believe the detail he did from a picture on a my husbands phone for his tattoo. He did my 1st tattoo a few days ago. Im very happy with the job he did. Id seriously have Sam do more.

If you want a tattoo please do yourself a favor and see Riley. She always has a vision and her style is wicked cool. During the past two years she has done my hand, stomach, full left arm sleeve, some of her flash pieces and more. The kicker is I live 2.5 hours away but it’s worth it! She is a true artist! Can’t wait for her to do my back piece!

I’ve been coming to Signature Tattoo to see Sam Wolf for over ten years now. Sam is amazing and always does awesome work. Mark Heggie, shop owner, is a super cool human and hopefully I can get some work done by him in the near future along with a couple others at the shop. I always enjoy spending my time with these guys. Very good group of humans in this shop and there always has been. Sam started my half sleeve in 2015 and I haven’t seen him since up until yesterday. We got it all finished up and of course it turned out amazing. Thanks Sam for dealing with a 9 year old tattoo and making it brand spankin new again! Love you all!

Very clean place, they take walks ins, and have wonderful staff! Heath did matching small gator tattoos for my friends & I and absolutely nailed what we were looking for. Would highly recommend this place and the artist Heath!!

I’ve gotten 4 tattoos done at Signature tattoo in the last 6 years and I’ve had a great experience. The artists are experienced and do a good job. The last tattoo I got was by Heath, who had exceptional attention to detail and care in a tattoo that was very meaningful to me.

Walked in on a Monday afternoon for a small tattoo and Heath was able to get me right in. It was a quick tattoo but Heath was wonderful through the whole process, he took what I wanted and was able to do it exactly as I had pictured. The shop was incredibly clean, not even a speck of dust on the picture frames I was staring at. Will definitely be back!

I came in for a walk-in appointment and was taken back within 30 minutes by Riley, who did an amazing job at both designing and tattooing based on the inspiration photos I brought. She made me feel very comfortable during the appointment and gave me helpful tips on how to care for them. I highly recommend signature tattoo to anyone in the market for a new piece! Mark Heggie is one of the best in the business. A true master in the art of flesh dyeing. He’ll reconstitute the juice in your brisket, so, if you’re looking for your next tattoo, look no further.

Never gotten work done here but my artist (Ryan West) moved in recently and it was great. The vibes were immaculate, the shop was clean, and all in all it was a good time.

Mark is amazing! I just told him the ideal of what I wanted, and that it needs to include a pumpkin and a black cat and he came up with his phenomenal creation. Absolutely love it.

My wife and I popped in while on vacation. Awesome atmosphere, we were immediately greeted, heath looked at photos of what we wanted, and we were off to the races! Dustin gave me my first tattoo, my wife had her gazillionth. We were in and out in under an hour start to finish. Dustin worked on my design with me and we tweaked it a few times and then he did the unthinkable! He exceeded my expectations and knocked it out if the park. Thanks a ton man, we will definitely make a stop here a priority when we’re in town!

Cant recommend this shop enough. All artists are welcoming and make you feel comfortable - very professional with high quality work. Studio is exceptionally clean and full of personality - I never leave without a few good belly laughs.Zach has done almost all of my work, dude knows whats up. I throw him an idea and can 100% trust that hell deliver exactly what Im looking for. He really can achieve any style youre looking for - hes a pro!All of the dudes who work here are solid dudes. I’ve had two great experiences with two artists, Davey and Sam. I love both tattoos, the hydrangea by Davey and the ore dock by Sam.

Got a tattoo back in October, had a good experience with Sebastián, except a quarter size area which had no detail. Which I explained to him in a phone call shortly after. Was told to let it heal and hed take care of it. Received a phone call from him and after setting up an appointment a long time after. He canceled, reset it up and again he canceled. Reset it up and yet again he canceled then just stopped responding to text messages. Literally a quarter size area with no detail that looks like a black smudge and he wont take care of it.

My tattooist, heath, was absolutely amazing. he did a better sketch and job of my tattoo than the inspo pic i showed him. he was also very thorough, clean, and always asked every now and then how i was doing and if i needed to take a break.the staff were super nice and i could tell that they were all very respectful of each others work. i’m definitely coming back again!and heath,enjoy your free lunch! you deserve it! :)

Sometimes you just need a last minute tattoo! The staff was great at fielding a busy walk-in waiting area. The artist who tattooed me was great. Took time with placement and was able to create a the perfect silly tattoo I had in mind from scratch within 20 mins.

Had my first session with Mark Heggie a couple day’s ago, and I can’t recommend him enough. His attention to detail is impeccable. The guy’s a genuine dude, who truly cares for his clients and business. I can’t wait to get more tattoo’s by him!

Artists are super talented and youre basically guaranteed to end up with a great tattoo here. However, the customer experience leaves much to be desired. Whether it was over the phone or in person they treated each interaction like an inconvenience that was rushed through- it unnerved me. Ive had a lot of tattoo work done so I knew what I was looking for and didnt ask elementary questions. Some people dont care about the experience and just want good art. I expect both. This place isnt for me. Jay did an excellent job with my work and is a cool human so I followed him to Well Wishes. Their vibe is immaculate.

I have been going to Signature Tattoo for just about 2 years.The tattoo shop itself is a work of art, from all the amazing pieces of work posted throughout the building, especially the bathroom.However, I keep coming back because of the phenomenal work that Mark Heggie does. This place is top notch. We did a walk in on a Sunday and were immediately greeted. Within minutes we had an artist who saw our vision of what we wanted. We actually got our art done by a guest artist named Nestor from Costa Rica! The vibe, the artist and the shop were all amazing. I enjoyed my visit from start to finish and will definitely be back.These negative reviews make no sense to me and were not my experience at all. I chose to visit the website and go to the shop based on the artwork I saw. I was not disappointed. I’ll come back with a fully healed picture but here is post work done.

Signature Tattoo is an amazing shop! Nick is FIRE! His design was freestyle and it was an amazing cover up! Great artist and just all around good people. Before and after to show the proof in the pudding and he is a master with darker complexions! Kudos brother!

I really had an amazing experience yesterday getting my first tattoo. My artist was Davey and he did a wonderful job with my tattoo and made me feel so comfortable. I will definitely being going back as well as referring anyone that I know who is looking to get some ink. Also the facility is super clean and everyone is so nice.

I went in the end of last week to see about getting my first tattoo. I met Jay Johnson at the door and he had me go through books of tattoos done by all the artists so i could see if any artist stood out that i just had to have my tattoo done by. I ended up going with Jay and talking about my ideas about what i wanted and he took my ideas and made it so much better than i invisioned. He was able to take me in yesturday and I got my first tattoo. It is the perfect tattoo for my first and probably only. However, if i ever decide on more I will definitely be checking back in with Jay. I have been dreaming about this tattoo for years and im ecstatic about the result.

Always a great expirence at signature i love this shop and would always reccommend any artist here! Heath has done my recent one and nailed it! Lovely experience and great and funny artist! My artist was jay it was my first time visiting the shop and I did throw the artist a challenge on the artist with the tattoo I wanted but Jay was very nice and friendly and made sure that the placement was fine ect with my tattoo will definitely be coming back over 1000 times!

Went in on a Saturday and the desk jockey said there was 2 people ahead of me and he would call me in 30 minutes. To let me know that it was my time. An hour went by and I just walked down to the shop to see what the hold up was. Get there and the shop was empty. With the exception of 1 girl getting a tat. I asked the guy why he never called me. He replied with “oh sorry busy day”. The artist did a fine job. But I will never be back there again. The desk jockey acted like he’d rather I just not have came back as he was standing outside smoking his cig.

I got tattooed by Nick here. He is an amazing artist! Hes also very nice. I came in with my brother to get sibling tats. My brother and I each got a dinosaur. I also made a later appointment with him so he could do a flower I wanted that I drew back when I was in middle school (with some tweaks).

I used to get my tattoos here all the time. Loaf was my artist. But since he left, the prices have SKYROCKETED!!!I wanted a specific tattoo, only big enough to see the tattoo, and they said between 400-500. Then I asked for a different tattoo, it was small and wanted it in all black, they said 200-300.Thats RIDICULOUS!! Loaf wouldve done the small one for 50-75 and the other 150-200. Signature Tattoo has gone WAY DOWN HILL, without Loaf there. I would NOT recommend this tattoo shop to my friends, let alone anyone else.

Heath tattooed me and it was a great experience. Very friendly and very efficient. The shop was clean and it was a fair price as well. I wouldn’t hesitate to come back for another tat from Heath!!

Ive been working with Kyle Weeks for several years now and every tattoo is phenomenal. Hes quick and every line is perfect. Hes fun to talk with during the process and works efficiently. Ive had minimal pain with all my tattoos hes done. People compliment his work on me all the time. As well, he and the shop he works in are meticulous in their sanitation habits. If I could give them more stars, I would.

I couldn’t wait to get home to write my review. Zach did an absolutely PHENOMENAL job with my tattoos. I couldn’t have asked for any better. The line work is fantastic and so clean and precise, same with the shading and the overall design of the tattoos. I got two cat tattoos of my (cat) babies that passed away and I almost cried when I saw them finished. They look identical to my cats based off the photo references I gave him. I couldn’t believe it.I can’t thank you enough Zach, I’m so excited and thankful to have my girls on me and to look so beautiful. He did exactly what I wanted and more. Also everyone here is super friendly and had me laughing. I really enjoyed my time here and felt very welcome and comfortable. I’ll definitely come back when I’m ready for another and recommend this place and especially Zach. I’m so happy! Thanks for a great experience and for my new additions!

We already set up another appointment for September for another piece we’ve discussed, and I will continue going to him for other future pieces as well. Nick is very professional and is a pleasure to talk to when seeing him. He made me feel very comfortable, and his work is amazing. I’d highly recommend him to anyone! He’s very thorough with everything, from consultation, to the piece you want done, size, placement, etc… clean lines and awesome detailing and coloring too. Can’t wait for September!

I cannot recommend this shop enough! I have several tattoos, and I’ve gotten all of my Michigan-based work done here, many of which are my favorite pieces. I have a beautiful sleeve from Mark and several creative and fun pieces by Zach. I’ve always had a great experience while in the shop, listening to good music and good conversation while receiving top notch tattooing. I’ve sent many a friend this way and all have been incredibly happy, as well. I’ve been getting work done at Signature for about a decade now, and I will continue to go back time and time again. Went in as a walk-in and was able to schedule an appointment for the next day. This was my first tattoo, and Kyle was absolutely amazing. His work is amazing and is worth every penny. He always takes my ideas and blows my expectations out of the water. Been here twice. First time got a tattoo. Absolutely butchered and now I have to spend more money to get it covered up. The second time, called and said come in we can take you. Walked in 10 minutes later and said sorry can’t take you. I’ve been to so many tattoo places and this is BY FAR the worst one.

Nick Kelly did an amazing job for my first tattoo! Cant recommend him and the shop enough. We discussed what I was looking to get during the consult and he knew exactly what to do. The shading came out amazing and the whole piece blew me away!

Sam Wolf is the ONLY artist that can work on my body. He is the best, but all the guys at Signature are great.

Kyle Weeks is absolutely amazing. I received a tattoo from him yesterday and it was everything that I have been wanting but didnt know how to conceptualize. I gave him a couple pictures to draw inspiration from, gave him some vague descriptive words like dainty, delicate, feminine and said I also wanted to incorporate an arrow in there somehow...I didnt give him much to go on but man- he hit the nail on the head. More over, the linework was so tiny, precise and perfect, which cant be easy.It also needs to be mentioned that he was extremely patient with me and made me feel completely comfortable the entire time. It had been about 12 years since my last tattoo and I was very nervous. He made me laugh and put me at ease. There was another artist there working on his client (dont recall his name) who also chimed in on the conversations I was having with Kyle and my friend that I brought along, the other artist made me laugh and was very clearly trying to help put me at ease. He was a welcome distract me from the discomfort as well. They are all so kind and professional- but not in a stuffy kind of way. They are clean, funny and make the entire process enjoyable. I highly recommend them- particularly Kyle Weeks. He has a repeat customer in me for sure.

I have been getting a leg sleeve worked on by Mark Heggie for a few months now. He has never once failed to deliver me with art that boggles the mind.All I have to do is give him an idea of what I am looking for, and I allow him to run wild with it. I have so much trust in him as an artist that I willingly let each piece be a surprise, and will not look at the drawing until I am sitting in the chair.The ambiance of signature is 10/10, the other artists and clients are always a pleasure to be around. I can sit there for 6+ hours and know they will all be there to make conversation and ensure we each are comfortable and feeling okay for the duration of the session.I do not see myself ever needing to go to any other shop!

Stopped by the shop on a busy Saturday and booked an appointment with Kyle just two days later. Before I walked into the shop he greeted me by name which threw me off guard because I wasn’t expecting him to remember my name by my face which was dope. The tattoo also turned out great and was a quick session. I’ll be going to back for many more tats. Not sure why I would ever pick another tat shop. Everyone here is super professional and their work is high quality.

I typically go to the other shop, but Mark was only available at signature within my time frame. Signature is a clean, professional shop with talented artists. As always Mark did a fantastic job. I had a ear tat done and they arent easy to accomplish without line blow out. He also did my late husbands signature on my wrist. It made me emotional and he was very professional and gave me the time I needed to collect myself

Just got my tattoo done on Tuesday by Sam and I must say he did excellent work. I needed a cover up and he executed what I wanted without fail and to be honest better than I had thought. Now understand this they get a lot of walk ins and it seemed like Sam took the lead on dealing with them so be patient if you are getting work done by him. But all the guys are great, professional, and also its a great environment.

I have 25+ hrs of tattoos from Nick. 2 full sleeves. Shoulder to wrist on both arms. Each arm has a unique design, but I wanted them to be complimentary. Being able to design two different, but complimentary designs for full arm sleeves speaks to Nicks artistic and professional abilities. The shop is clean, feels safe and welcoming. I would recommend any of the very talented artists that work there, but Nick is my guy.

I have been working with Mark Heggie for a few months now on a custom arm sleeve. Not only is he an amazing artist, he is also a professional businessman who understands the importance of customer service. I have been to both shops, Signature and Big Top, and at both locations the staff has been extremely friendly and helpful. The vibe is relaxed, fun and non-intimidating. I wouldn’t consider getting ink done anywhere else.

Heath was super gentle and I absolutely love my new ink. I plan to go back for sure, this place was clean and everyone there was super nice and accommodating.

Recently had the pleasure of starting a half sleeve with Mark Heggie. Not only is Mark a ridiculous fine artist, but his tattoo work is out of this world. Couldnt have asked for a better experience. John Kurse has been tattooing me for approximately 7 years, and primarily at Signature.The shop is impeccably clean, the staff is incredibly welcoming, and every single person there produces great work.John has always listened closely to my requests and edited my personal concepts to a piece of work that we both love. I like that he has the confidence to tell me that something won’t work. I love that he is professional in his communication without being mean or clinical.If you need a tattoo guy that won’t make you feel like you shouldn’t be there, it’s John.

Each artist is so professional, what i love the most is that they are all honest and direct in their communication which obviously means so much when it comes to having something permanent on my body. Visited for consult, Booked appointment (expecting to pay just under $1k) sent reference pics prior. Drawing was not what was referenced in pics. I expressed my concern and artist told me DONT GET IT. Very strange interaction. Definitely think we could have discussed and resolved.

Kyle Weeks, the tattoo artist that did my rainbow colored unicorn, my latest tattoo, was great. He took my idea/vision, and put it on paper exactly as I imagined it. The owners and staff of this place really make sure that everyone feels welcomed and comfortable with their tattoo experience, and from what I have witnessed on the many times I have been tattooed there, and big top their other shop, it has always been extremely clean with the utmost attention to cleanliness during the tattoo process. Also, the artists are all very talented and skilled at their craft.There is not a better place to be tattooed in Michigan, that’s for sure.

To the point that I was offered a coffee during a coffee run like I was an old friend stopping by. John Kurse gave me my first visible tattoo on my wrist. I was so happy with it I couldnt stop smiling. I work in the corporate world where tattoos are still somewhat taboo but John made the design feminine and exactly to my taste that I get compliments almost daily!

A great spot to get some ink. They are friendly, funny and very talented with a bevy of different styles. I recommend Zach Hewitt. His technique is very gentle and his artistry is dope. My best bud swears by Kyle Weeks another talented artist there.

My experience with them has been that they want your tattoo to look the best it can, and theyre going to do whats best for you and your tattoo. Ive had them switch up the size, placement, and positioning of my original concept, and it was always for the better. After all, they are the professionals. Sometimes youve got to be willing to be flexible yourself, and let your ego go. Ive never walked away disappointed from Signature! I will keep going back, and tell all of my friends about it!

Got tattooed by Sam Wolf last week. They were flexible with appointments and design, and my tattoo turned out great, better than expected! The place was very clean and I felt the prices were fair. The artists have a wide range of styles, and some of my friends have some really great tattoos from there as well.

Sam gave my 20-something daughter, who has autism and an intellectual disability, her first tattoo. He was SO patient with her, and the tattoo is spectacular. It was a great experience all around.

I stopped in to this place quite close to closing & met Jay, he got me in after explaining today was the one year anniversary and that I wanted this tattoo for that reason. He was able to thin out the thicker words to make it uniform and advised me that it should be two lines to assure it aged well. Super kind and clean and highly recommend.

We didn’t even get to get a tattoo. The ‘receptionist’ greeter or whoever he was , was very curt. I’m assuming he didn’t like that I spoke up for my son. Taking my money elsewhere. ✌🏾

Got a bit of lettering (specifically from a TV show) done by John. From someone who has gotten several minimalist tattoo I can say that I always run the risk of having someone who thinks that a simple design equates to simple work. Totally not true with John. The font was copied exactly from the show and enhanced such that when I look in the mirror it seems even bolder than in the show (so of course it looks spot-on for everyone else from afar). I also witnessed him being extremely patient with a difficult walk-in request or two so kudos for that!

Last night I walked in to get the walk in policy, and Andrew was very helpful and gave me some tips. I came in around open and Kyle was willing to squeeze me in for a quick walk in. Im very happy with the placement, orientation, linework and lettering. I would recommend anybody to check this spot out.

A clean and friendly environment filled with very talented artists that have always satisfied my impulsive urge to get tattoos. One thing that Ive noticed, compared to other tattoo shops, is the time and patience the artists have with every client that walks in. They listen to what you want and are there to keep the customer happy. Shoutout to Jay Johnson for making my tatts insanely perfect and super cool. Being OCD about everything, Jay is probably one of the only artists I trust to get inked by. Praise.

DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY OR YOUR TIME.Jay Johnson is his name and he is terrible. I scheduled a consult with him, the day of the consult he seemed like he knew what he was doing and he was friendly. He took pictures of my current tattoo because I want more added on) and he took photos of tattoo ideas that were along the lines of what I wanted with room for him to put his own flare on it. He promised me he would reach out with photos of what he had drawn before my appointment (which was in two weeks). I had also explained to him that because of my current job I would only be able to schedule a time on the weekends to get it done and all seemed acceptable so he had me give a 50 dollar deposit for my scheduled time. 5 days before my appointment I tried to get ahold of him because I had not yet seen any drawings that he had promised. I got no response. Then the day of my appointment came and I was excited but nervous because I had not seen anything. When I showed up he was running late. We waited for about ten minutes before he finally appeared with my tattoo. The tattoo looked like it had been traced. It was NOTHING like what we spoke about and it was roses, which again I did not ask for. When I said this to him he appologized and then retook photos of the same ones he originally had taken pictures of during the consult... he told me it would take him 1 1/2 hours to draw something else back up. I asked if I should come back in an hour and a half. He told me it would be best to reschedule since a walk in had just come in and that was going to take him about 30 minutes. He not only wasted my time but he was completely disrespectful about doing so and blew me off for what was going to be a 300 tattoo for a walk in. None the less I agreed to come in the next day and see if he had something more like what we talked about. He again told me he would send me the image before I made the 30 minute drive there. I got the image 3 minutes before my scheduled appointment and it was still NOTHING like the flowers we had spoken about. JAY JOHNSON IS NOT THE TATTOO ARTIST YOU WANT. He clearly has no respect for his clients or his craft.

John Kurse is great :) I went to him for a tattoo of my pitbull a year ago and I get compliments on it frequently, for both how pretty it is and also how perfect the linework is. I gave him a picture of my puppy, and asked for a day of the dead design to go on the inside of the sillhoutte. Its a piece thats really important to me because I love pitbulls and wanted a really beautiful piece of art to represent what wonderful dogs they are. Johns design did just that :) this was my first tattoo and he did a great job explaining to me what to expect and walked me through it the whole time! He and the other artists made the whole experience fun and inviting. Trust your artists, people! They know what theyre doing. John designed this for me and it was way better than what I had even pictured in my head. Its over a year later and I still get excited to show it off :)He let my fiance sit with me the whole time because Im a baby lol and he made the experience as comfortable as possible.He also made a comment that I still (almost creepily...) remember about how much he loves this art form because its so personal and people take it with them forever -- Everyone at this shop really cares about their work and I think thats awesome :)

Whoever the bald man is and John Kruse are very rude. Baldy was short with my friend and I when we walked in and John kept us waiting almost 2 hours to draw up our designs which were “Khaleesi” and “I❤️U”....I respect drawing by hand but 2 hours AND they’re $70 a piece? Fine. When he first appears with his drafts they’re not quite right and we politely ask for a few adjustments that were met with rolled eyes. When he was finally ready and my friend was positioning her tattoo he became more and more visibly irritated, even grunting “You’re killing me here”, which felt extremely unprofessional. I’m sorry for wanting my permanent body art to my liking. When it was my turn, he rushed through the process leaving me with slanted letters. For an “I❤️U” on my wrist I expected smooth service but I was horribly disappointed. Not only this but upon looking at pictures of my friends tattoo he missed a letter that had previously been both in the sketch and on her body/stencil!! Not sure how any of this happened but I won’t be returning.

Today, I went in as a walk in and CJ helped Me. He did my tattoo and gave Me after care advice. I Love the work he did for Me and appreciate the great atmosphere Signature Tattoo has. Thank You CJ. Thank You all.

Well it took me 53 years to decide on having a full sleeve tattoo and I have to admit I was a little scared trusting someone to ink my body until I found Mark Heggie. After my initial consultation, I knew I was in the right spot. Mark took his time with me and has pointed me in the right direction several times. I was all over the board in the beginning but he has me on track and I could not be more happier.. His shop is clean with great music and everyone that works there is friendly and happy to be there. Dont waste your time and definitely not your money with this place. I walked in with a very simple design and wanted to add flames - the hipster douchebag immediately had a smartass comment about how I basically wanted to make the most difficult design possible and preceded to give me all the reasons he was unwilling to work with me on my design. I wanted to make it slightly smaller, but he made it sound like I was asking for the moon. Look elsewhere if you have any ideas of your own, otherwise youll get shot down in the first minute of conversation. Needless to say I will not be returning to this amateur establishment
