The Bomb!! Me and my sister Leo were in town for my birthday. We get tattoos every vacation. Well I found this gem on google.Waked in the back door instead of front. Lost, lol. Then as I turn corner I was greeted by Joseph in an awesome way :).. I screamed of joy as he made a you can get it move. Cant back door this guy. Lol.Joseph, Joe and Josh are amazing men. The energy and spirit was on point. Very kind, professional and most of all experienced and patient. Very clean and sanitized.Joseph explained throughly on the care of your ink. You come in with a vision and he inks it to you. I cant say enough about DEFIANCE TATTOO! Nothing but LOVE baby. These guys are family now. We did not want to leave because they were so down to earth and very welcoming.Thank you Defiance for making our vacation the best. If you need a piercing this is the place to go. Josh did my tragus and did wonderful. He is super kind, allows you to look before the piercing to make sure you’re happy with the placement, he goes over everything step by step and makes you feel comfortable. Very clean and sanitary as well. Y’all this man is amazing. Highly recommend!

Josh is absolutely the best artist there is, i have driven from TN to get work done from him on multiple occasions. Not only is he great but so is everyone else in the shop, the atmosphere is wonderful, they work within your budget and give you exactly what you want but BETTER. I’m looking forward to seeing Josh at a convention in TN next month to complete my back piece we have been discussing for months. As for as time management and scheduling, he has always been on time and I’ve never felt like he’s rushed anything.

Josh did my daughters ear piercing. She finally decided she wanted them done (she is 6yo). He was so amazing with her. He explained each step of the way and every item he was going to use. She needed a break in between sides and he was so patient and kind to her. He made her experience wonderful.

There were three of us that came in as walkins to get tattoos... I believe the guys name was tim that did our tattoos.... He was a really cool guy... He was personable and really easy to relate to... Got us right in drew up our designs and had us out the door pretty quick... I have never had a tattoo that healed up as fast as this one did.... The guy at the front desk.I cannot remember his name but he was from indiana.... And he was as nice as he could possibly be too.

Bradley did an amazing job he was very clean professional and did an amazing job creating my tattoo and the experience was wonderful even though I was nervous because it was my first tattoo.

Kyle is hands down the best color artist I have ever seen. I shopped a long time looking for somebody to do my sleeve. I spoke to dozens of artists, attended conventions and picked Defiance and more importantly their best artist Kyle. You can trust him, he listens, his line work is the best Ive ever had. If youre thinking about a tattoo - youre foolish to go anywhere else.

My two daughters and I went in to get piercings and had a wonderful experience! Daniel did the notarizing right there (both daughters are under 18) and was so personable with all of us. Josh did the piercings and was so nice explaining everything multiple times and taking the time to get the piercing placements *just* right! We are so happy with our piercings and experience! Both Daniel and Josh had such great energy! I’m definitely going to recommend them to my friends!

Recently got a vertical labret done just over a week ago. The experience was great, shop was clean, and Josh was extremely accommodating when it came to making sure the piercing had good placement and even when I felt faint afterwords haha. Can’t wait to come back for more piercings.

Great shop! Tattoo artists were great and did an amazing job on mine and my husband’s matching tattoos. I got my tattoo with Josh Shaw and he was great. My husband’s tattoo was done by Jeremy and he did awesome too. We came in as walk-ins and they were able to take us and we were both done within an hour or so. Friendly staff. Not intimidating what so ever. Couch will absorb you and you will love it. The piercer was very clean and calming. Very nice and easy to talk too. I will be getting my next tatt here soon.

I got my septum pierced here and I had a great experience! The guys were super nice and helped with the notary process (because I’m a minor). Josh was funny and made me feel super comfortable. He gave me plenty of tips for aftercare, if I get any more piercings I’m definitely coming back here! I recommend :)

Josh Shaw is the best! He did this Sailor Jerry pinup girl for me and the line work and shading are so clean. He’s great to talk to, and he works fast. His aftercare instructions helped my tattoo heal perfectly with minimal peeling and itching. Will definitely be going back to him soon!

Ive been using Josh for my tattoos, for the past two years. Ive brought in some of the craziest tattoo ideas: a 23 person stick figure belt of people climbing out of my pants, a rabbit holding a plunger, a lawn mower and even a camel on my toe... Over 15 sessions complete and Im ready for the next 215. By far one of the best tattoo artist in the area!

My best friend and I came in the other night for each a piercing. She got her belly button done and and I got my nose done. Josh was the piercer and he stayed later than the end of his shift to pierce us. He was very friendly and very experienced. He was able to tell us what to use to help the healing process go smoothly. I got my cartilage pierced here about a month ago and I’m really happy with how it turned out! Josh was the piercer and he was really nice. He made sure that everything was clean, explained parts of the piercing, and over all made me and my mom feel more comfortable about it. In and out in less than 25 minutes. I can’t wait to get another piercing here!

Josh was fantastic! Went in with a friend for us to both get piercings. I got an ear piercing and I agree with everyone that has commented about josh. Extremely professional, kind, sanitary, and knowledgeable. Makes you feel extremely comfortable and asks about whether youre happy with the anticipated position of the piercing before doing it. He doesnt make you feel as though youre wasting his time if you ask him to move it a little bit. Highly recommend and will be back!

Brad did an amazing job! It was my first tattoo and he did a great job making me feel comfortable. Everything was very clean and he wore a mask. My cousin went here a couple nights ago to get a piercing. Very nice and welcoming. The male piercer here was super nice and let her check the dot before piercing. The only complaint is the jewelery was no where long enough for her to heal and hollow. She had to go to another tattoo shop for them to put the jewelry back in because the ball fell out. They said they could put it back in but it wouldnt heal right because the stud was to short and not something that is typically used when first getting a new piercing. Make sure to check and make sure the jewelry here.

I just got my first ever ear piercings today and everything was great . The atmosphere was laid back but still put together and very comforting, and clean as well. I was put with this one guy (idk his name but he has a bunch of Dragon Ball Z stuff in his room) and he explained everything perfectly and we talked all about anime and it definitely helped me a LOT since I was extremely stressed beforehand. He was super nice and the other workers were very nice and helpful as well, so I definitely recommend this place and Ill probably be coming back here if I ever get another piercing.

Me and my friend got a couple piercings here, and the guy who did it, Josh, was awesome. Super cool people and a great atmosphere. I was nervous at first since it was my first body piercing but they all made me feel really comfortable. Several of my friends have also went there for piercings and tattoos and all have had good things to say.

I went in to get a tattoo from Kyle here and it turned out so well! I love his work and he was very chill while tattooing. The overall experience was great! Also, the place in general has a fun atmosphere and is very clean and professional. I would definitely recommend them!

My fiancé and I went in to get someone new ink done and the staff was nice from the start. They listened to what we wanted, the pricing was definitely fair, and our tattoos came out amazing! Pat and his team are awesome! We even had our 7 year old with us, who was treated very nicely, and was even given some fake tattoos of his own! Will definitely be going back!

This shop was INCREDIBLE. Josh took care of my whole group, it was a very chill atmosphere and when I needed adjustments to my design Josh not only accommodated me but referred me to Nigel who he felt sure could execute my vision. Nigel was INCREDIBLE and so calm, cool and collected it was actually really peaceful. Josh did my other 3 friends tattoos and they are a GORGEOUS. Would definitely go back.

Artist Josh Williams seemed high and was rude. After sharing photos of what I wanted he drew a design that was nothing like what we discussed. He wasn’t willing to make any changes whatsoever. Waste of $100 to let him “draw” up a design.

Do NOT go here for professional work. Went in for appointment. Received estimate and placed $100 cash deposit down for $500 color touch up on a large 15 year old dragon piece. Quoted three hours for tattoo color touch up. Put in for time off to get work done. Waited 10 days to get in. Called 2 days prior to verify appointment and was told I was good to go. Showed up on time and artist was looking for his vape pen for 45 minutes. 2 other walk ins for $40 and $100 work and were taken in ahead of me. After waiting 1 hour past scheduled time I was told by manager I had to reschedule due to some new medical issue with artist. I reminded him I had to take time off just to come in, and he said he would check with other artists in studio. First one asked why original artist could not complete appointment and passed on doing the touch up. Second artist was disinterested, third one said there was no way he could complete in 3 hours....meaning more money, Im sure. Did not get good vibe at all for a permanent tattoo modification that I would have to live with for the rest of my life. Asked manager for refund and got several apologies and refund. Obviously this studio is in for the quick tourist bucks and not artistic integrity. Do not go there for professional results. Used wifes google account for this review, I dont have one.

My family and I go to Navarre beach every year and always make our way to Ft. Walton. It was our 35th anniversary. We wanted to celebrate w/ a bang! What better way then to get a tattoo that is a memory we have shared for so long and for many years to come. There were 10 of us and we all agreed to mark this day that was symbolic to us. Dan as front man, was very greeting and ready to satisfy our needs. Even found out he knew one of our family members in passing! Josh, was our tattoo artist. Did all 10 of us! Good attitude and cut up w/ us as he got to witness 8 out of 10 we’re getting their first tattoo!! Never got her name, but was also an employee, whose shift was over, and waiting for shop to close. She as well joined in on our experience and fun! For it being our last night before we had back home (NEW ORLEANS⚜️), it was so worth it! I recommend this tattoo shop, and hope we get the same experience, if we happen to be passing by and want to ink another memory. Thanks again guys for a great experience!

Amazing place!! Took my brother in law to get his very first tattoo and the staff was amazing and the work is very clean. They worked around what my brother in law wanted . At first I went to tattoos forever and we were treated poorly, kept giving us excuses and they seemed like they didnt want to work with us at all. But when we went to defiance it was the complete opposite, I even got a tattoo myself. Also their prices are amazing, compared to tattoos forever, they wanted to charge my brother in law $140 for a tat that he got for $100 at defiance. My brother in law loves his new tat and so do I, we recommend this place to anyone wanting to get a tat. We will definitely be coming back for more tattoos in the future :)

Just plain rude. High priced rudeness at that. Artist didn’t want to do my tattoo because he never gets anything like that. His words” I’m not doing that!” Didn’t care that I was sitting right outside the room when his attitude showed. Just because it was a few colored lines and not black and white. Not his style. Glad that me, and my family left. That’s 850.00 for 4 tattoos that weren’t even worth that price. Not a way to earn people’s business. Would have been our go to place when we went on vacay every summer but that won’t be happening. Their loss.

My wife and I went here for the daith piercing and they were all very helpful and great people to talk with while waiting. Sorry cant remember the guys name who did the piercing but he was great and explained everything perfectly. We were in and out in like 30 minutes. They all know what theyre doing and the place is clean. I would highly recommend going here for any piercing and tattoo.

I’ve gotten 2/3 tattoos from here so far. My first was a walk in. Nigel drew up the design upon walking in and still made it look nice. I still love the tattoo today. I just recently got another and I made sure to schedule an appointment. You can definitely tell the difference in his work when you nake an appointment. He’s willing to work with a budget to get the design you want. I will definitely be getting my next tattoo from him. 😊

I had a great experience for it being my first tattoo. Impala pat was patient and helpful in the design process and I was comfortable with the environment. Also a big plus for me was my five year old was definitely not treated as a problem. He got to hangout inside. I would recommend him to anyone.

Went in for a family tattoo with my mom and my sister. We were all taken care of immediately by the super sweet receptionist. I wanted watercolor because I have another tattoo that is water color and I LOVE it however, the artists that were there were honest with me and said they don’t have too much experience in that realm of tattoos. 1. Greatly appreciated the honesty 2. Impala Pat came out and pitched an idea to me that still involved the color that I wanted 3. I really let him do whatever he thought would look best and it came out beautiful! I trusted him to tattoo an awesome piece on my arm and he came through! So, thank you Pat! Also thank you to Nigel for tatting my mom and sister! I’ll see Impala Pat again next time I come to Fort Walton!

Scheduled an appointment for myself & girlfriend day before was told between 3 & 4 the following day!! Filled out our paperwork and paid our deposit. Called earlier that day to verify that the time still worked and was told it did. Checked in once we got there and sit and waited. An hour later the LITTLE dude with the mustache (which physically grabbed my old lady’s hand) came out and told us Josh had double booked his 3pm time slot. To make a long story short, Josh show’s up 30 minutes later. Eyes glazed over high on his choice of drug begins to tell us that we would have to reschedule due to his mistake. Then while waiting to get our deposit back the little boy behind the counter grabs my old lay’s wrist because she was reading OUR paperwork with the time and date that the appointment was scheduled which was the date and time we showed up. No review I could leave would be bad enough for the service we received from this place. We live 10 hours away and wasted an entire day of our trip to be treated like this. Completely unprofessional and horrible service. Never once did anyone there even attempt to offer us another artist for later yet they continued to take walk-in’s. Don’t waste your time at this place if you actually intend on getting a tattoo go to any of the other 14 shops within a 5 minute drive!!! I sure wish I would had!!!!!

Got a small tattoo yesterday with Kyle and he done a perfect job, exactly what I wanted and with so little fuss. Arrived at the door as a drop in and was done within an hour. Everyone is friendly and helpful. Thanks 😊

Love Impala Pats new shop! Its inviting and the staff is awesome! Went there last night and got two tattoos. One was just the letter C for my son but Pat took it to a whole other level! You will never be disappointed with his work!! 3 out of 4 of my tattoos have been done by Pat and I cant imagine going to anyone else. If youre looking for an awesome artist, cool shop, excellent quality and just an amazing experience in general, you cant go wrong with Defiance and the people who work there.

I was the witness to the Michael Jenkins review below, my friend and I drove from TN for a tattoo by Josh which isn’t a new thing for us as he’s the only one we go too for our work. As we were checking in both the man and his girlfriend had attitudes with us for no reason. Once Josh admitted to having them put in the calendar on the wrong date, they became irate and started threatening everyone in the shop including Josh and the man at the desk. The woman reached over the counter where not only our paperwork was but other clients which holds confidential information on them, the man did not grab her what so ever but he did grab the paperwork out of her hand, which was the right call. Josh was completely professional throughout the entire encounter and gave them their deposit back and also offered to reschedule them for later that day or another time. I will tell you first hand that this shop and these artist are completely professional and always willing to go the extra mile for their clients. We will always be a returning customer and look forward to seeing Josh at a convention he’s coming to next month.. Dont believe everything you read on the internet, this shop is definitely a 5 star shop and definitely worth visiting if you are ever in the area!

Awesome Experience. I came to the shop to get a small inner bicep tattoo, and nobody was currently available. However, Brian Cabrera happened to be there on his day off, and kindly took the time to tattoo me. Turned out great, and i will definitely be coming back.

Went here with a friend, don’t know the guys name that did my tattoo but his line work was horrendous. My tattoo looks terrible and I paid 120 for it. Overpriced garbage.Oh and also, their whole spiel about “talented artists are prime” Josh’s ability to TRACE A STRAIGHT LINE matches that of a 3 year olds.

THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I’VE EVER EXPERIENCED!I am a local and I wanted to give this shop a shot.A man laying in the front desk chairs was extremely rude and actually ASKED me to write this review.I called and no one answered, so I came in. I asked if there was a piercer..he had already left, WHICH IS UNDERSTANDABLE on an off-season Saturday night.The man “chilling”’ had an attitude like a diva. She could have given me a card or told me a better time to return at.Luckily, there was a professional woman present who was very kind.But don’t waste your time or money. Go somewhere else.There are MANY tattoo shops on the strip & in Destin with better service.Island Ink does AMAZING & PAINLESS piercings!

I was a walk in today. Everyone was so welcoming and helpful. I had a simple design in mind but there was some things that needed fine tuning and they advised me about my options. Overall a good experience as far as getting a tattoo goes. Place is clean too thats a plus.

My wife went here and got her septum pierced, the young guy who did it was more focused on talking and running his mouth than focusing on her piecing and what he was doing, he messed her nose up bad and made it bleed quite a bit, he also tightened the wring so tight we had to go to a new piercing shop just to get it undone and changed. Dude island his skills are a total joke and so is defiance, go anywhere but here for your piercings and tattoos.

Just got my first tattoo today. Turned out great, friendly staff, and great options for the Friday the 13th tattoos they had. I’m super happy with how the tattoo turned out and I’ll most likely be coming back for my next tattoo 10/10 will recommend to friends

Nigel did my first tattoo. I love it. He has a gentle hand and I felt no pain to speak of. It was a week after my tattoo, so its still healing so there are flecks of dead skin peeling off. It was for my cat that had just passed away.

This is the 2nd and 3rd piece I have had done by Impala Pat. I am still in shock by how well they came out. My coworkers ask where I got it and I tell ygm Defiance Tattoo Company. This place is very laid back and comfortable. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. I would recommend this place to anyone to get ink. Impala Pat is a seasoned artist and has great vision. You will not be disappointed.

Partner and I had ink from V, new artist to area. Super mellow, cool, prices were great. Entire staff was the local chill group. Back soon. Lol

The customer service from walk in was amazing, the price was average and the CLEANLINESS was AMAZING. My daughter received a nose piercing and they made sure to follow all laws, use gloves, use everything brand new sterilized and change gloves after every touch.

V aka venom aka ninja was awesome he is very light handed and does really good work and he really enjoys what he does and it shows in his work not to mention he is super easy to have conversation with making time fly i definitely would recommend him and this shop to anyone

I was in the shop a few days ago to have one of my tattoos touched up by Pat. I was amazed at how homey and inviting the shop felt. I had an awesome experience and my touch up was done quickly. Walking out of the shop, I was sure Id be returning soon.

I would put a zero if it was allowed. DO NOT waste your time going to Defiance. This is a long review but necessary to try and explain why a zero.We had three people wanting the same tattoo but in different places. The sweet young lady at the counter took a picture thay was rough idea to the artist and asked him if he wanted to do. He acted like we were bothering him. I could hear him and i told the girl whom was standing in doorway of artists room that if he did not want to do that we would find someplace else. He reluctantly told her he would do and we waited to see him and discuss what we wanted and where. We never saw him.He took about 5 minutes and drew a horrible image then had the girl bring it back out and she told us that they would just shrink or enlarge image to fit the places wanted. However the design was such that it would have been horrible. It looked like a bug with leaves instead of a lotus flower. Then the young lady asked for identification. As the young lady was asking for identifications the three of us were talking about leaving because the design was wrong and the artist seemed annoyed. After being there for over 30 minutes, we were told that becauae of the shops location they could not do a tattoo on my daughter because she was 17.So I asked if there was any place we could get one done. Since 2 of us were from out of town. This is when the artist finally came out. First we saw of him.He said there are shops up in Destin and over in Mary Ester, but none said do not go to any of them they suck.We left and called Custom Concepts Tattoo and Design. And Terry was not only helpful he actually discussed the design and placement of tattoo and drew accordingly matching personality of the individual. He got us the form authorizing minor to get tattoo which law required and where to go to get it notarized. He also accommodated us by doing the tattoo as a walk in at the end of the day. (HIGHLY recommend Custom Concepts by the way great shop).Defiance is awful. They do not care about the meaning of the tattoo, they are rude, and act as if requesting a tattoo when there was absolutely no other customers in the shop was an inconvience. Then to not even recommend a shop, and say dont go to any of them because they suck was just ridiculous.I have been to many tattoo shops and the artists come out they talk to you and if it is a design that they dont do or believe somebody else could do better they will tell you who the best artist is even if not at their shop. I have never had an artist not come out when you are there and not discuss the design or location and say all of the other shops suck. Just totally unprofessional.It all worked out because we found Terry at Custom Concept Tattoo and Desings and it was awesome!!!! So glad we did not have Defiance do our tattoos.

Impala Pat is the man! Wife and I walked in with tattoo ideas and he drew up some designs that looked good and even better when inked. He knows his colors! Solid line work with great color combination/saturation. We will be back.

They charged me $360 for a small finger tattoo that should have been at most $100. They take advantage of women. Do not go here.From the moment we walked in they sized us up and over priced us.Go next door.I’m baffled.

Customer service and prices are terrible. Wanted to get a tattoo the size of a nickle wih only black ink, no shading just outlining. They quoted me with a price of $70. When i complain as to why that size of tattoo would cost that much the guy at the register told me to get the f*** out of his shop. When i questioned hus customer service he started flicking me off. Crappy customer service and terrible prices. Do not go here.

I came into defiance and wanted a tattoo I drew up at first they were booked, but they went out of their way to put me in. In the short time I was there it was like chilling with the family. I’ll definitely come back to defiance for all my tattoos, amazing atmosphere awesome people and amazing work ✌🏼✌🏼

I got my naval pierced and they didn’t put a long enough bar or the right kind of bar for it just being done. This caused it to get infected because the bar was to little and when I got home from my trip days later had to go to a different tattoo shop to get it fixed.

Clean place and the staff is as nice as ever! I walked in and had not wait time and got my septum pierced within 10 min of me being there ☺️

Was on vacation looking for something to do and everyone wanted to get a tattoo.so we went to one place and they guy was really rude said he was booked up for months but their was no one in his shop.Everyone who walked in he turned their business away so we left and walked a little down the street and went to Defiance tattoo.walked in very very clean very friendly staff they make you feel right at home...they helped with what we wanted and a couple of us couldnt decide what to get and they didnt get aggravated they stayed right there with us while we decided after about an hour we all started getting our tattoos and couldnt be any happier.. They do awesome work they do exactly what you want..I love my tattoo.they are the best I will definitely drive a few hours to them to get great work..I want use anyone else.....you guys are awesome!!!

Got piercings here, so i cant really speak to the tattoos, but the place is meticulously clean and the staff are super knowledgeable. I have seen some of their tats on other people though, and they have some beautiful work.

Couldnt be happier. I had a tattoo done at another shop in town that just didnt quite turn out the way I wanted it to. So I made a plan to cover it up. Brian did an absolutely phenomenal job with the cover-up, I am stoked with the results. I will definitely be back.

Josh Williams is a cool guy. Definitely Knows what he is doing. Will be back next year for a visit while I’m on vacation

Bad place since they do not respect the appointments I went today Sunday I had the appointment at 5 oclock in the afternoon and it was 6 oclock and they did not take care of me, I asked them the deposit of 40 dollars for the appointment and they did not return it to me, they are the problem....mal lugar ya que no respetan las citas a las que fui el domingo. Tenía la cita a las 5 de la tarde, eran las 6 de la tarde y no me atendieron, les pedí el depósito de 40 dólares por La cita y no me la devolvieron, son el problema.

Went there to get my bellybutton pierced they said that i had to have a notary saying that my mom was my mom even though we had both of our license and their notater cost 25 dollars just to sign and stamp a simple piece of paper
