Banter by Piercing Pagoda

I took my sister to Banter last night for permanent bracelets. Devin was kind from the time I called to ask a question, and throughout the whole bracelet process. She was thorough, and made sure we were both 100% happy before we left. Thanks Devin for assisting in my unique Matron of Honor proposal!

Worst experience. The woman was rude and condescending for the entire experience with my daughter. She casually added $60 worth of charges and never mentioned it until I reviewed the screen at checkout. She was visibly annoyed when we refused the items and was insulting and cutting in her response. Said the coupon we had for a first time purchase couldnt be used and she genuinely just didnt seem to care.Dealing with rudeness is something I can deal with but the piercings themselves are awful!!! Spaced too far, uneven, and look completely different on each side. A total mess. Id never ever recommend them. Perhaps it was just this location or this woman but it was awful.

Got my daughters ears pierced today. I didnt get the employees name but she was so helpful and explained the whole process and care instructions. She helped us choose the best earrings for her ear size and pierced both ears at the same time with her coworker. I was so nervous but it was such a wonderful experience!

I went over there a few days to see if some things had caught my eye. This women with long straight burgundy hair was beyond rude, did not even seem interested in helping me! Another woman with short red hair straight up ignored me! It was ridiculous i could not even believe the lack of customer service i experienced! Would totally recommend the store farther from them. Those women were so helpful.

Went to get my ear pierced today and Kristin was so helpful. She explained the whole process and aftercare, she even helped me pick out which earrings would be best. She did a great job super quick and pain free!

Kayle was amazing through the experience. She had a lot of patience for our permanent jewelry.

Do not go to Banter because you have to bring a passport or birth certificate for your kids for ear piercing.So annoying and plus you only have choice of $60 or over earrings for piercing.Also The staff( old lady)has a nasty attitude.There’s Lovisa(jewelry store)In front of Banter, they don’t ask a birth certificate for your kids and much cheaper.And the staff at Lovisa is much much nicer.Go to LovisaOwner!!!!!Take care of your business.

I’m giving this a 5 star rating thanks to Carmen Gillas. She was the most patient store employee. She was also by herself and managed to help out everyone and answer questions. The only 1 major downside is the website should state that you need to bring birth certificates or possibly other documents with you. People travel from different cities. Even with both parents & matching identification & addresses it doesn’t matter. When booking their appointments nothing ever stated that we needed to bring anything with us. Thanks to Carmen she was able to get everything straightened out & my kids were set to be pierced. Once we got paperwork done and earrings picked out the system crashed. Through it all she maintained professional & very courteous to my family as well as other customers. Once again I strongly suggest advertising what parents need to bring with them for pre-booked appointments or walk ups. It’s a small mall kiosk so people do just show up. This will avoid any confusion. Mostly it will ease up the hostility directed towards your employees from frustrated parents/kids. Overall my kids were very happy & love their new earrings. They are happy that it all worked out.

Dishonest and incompetent. Returned several hundred dollars worth of jewelry after I realized it was overpriced low quality. Credit card still hasn’t been refunded. Constant back and forth on the phone to try and get my funds back. Beware.

I got there at 7:05 pm to get my ears pierced and waited 20 minutes (at least) before anyone even showed up to the kiosk. I asked for a piercing and the worker there told me that he didn’t want to do anymore today so I couldn’t get it done. Question- what is his job then?I got my previous piercings at a different Banter location and had a great experience so this was disappointing. If I could give it zero I would.

I have to say the woman that helped us deserves a raise. We took my 6 year old baby girl and the employee was extremely nice, sensitive, and took her time to explain everything. Most importantly, she made my daughter feel comfortable for the first earring. Now that it did hurt, but again she was patient before the second one. As a father I can say thank you enough to the employee who worked tonight and she deserves a raise

There were three customers before me, I waited for over an hour before I left in utter frustration, after one of the two sales people left. From what I gleamed of the quality of jewelry I saved myself from spending hundreds of dollars on a chain that would surely break. The customer that was before me was bringing their purchase back for a second time, the chain was broken in two places, and when asked for a refund they were denied.Id rather pay more for good quality and sales help that actually acknowledged their customers

I had a terrible experience at the Pagoda stand near the JC Penny’s!!!! This was last week and a half ago during the holidays and I was with my mom, who doesn’t speak plenty of English (we are from Estonia) so I had to translate for her. A young brunette woman, probably a teenager was so rude to her and she spoke to my mom like she had better things to do. Like seriously she gave us this sort of “I don’t have time for you!” Vibe and feeling, we felt like we were a huge bother and no customer should feel like that. We left the stand because we were becoming frustrated with her customer service and we went to the one near the food court, where the manager there was so much nicer and helpful to us. So moral of the story- there are 2 Piercing Pagoda stands in the Freehold Mall- the one under the food court is the way to go!!!

Yessenia was absolutely amazing. She helped my daughter buy earinings, pierced them and helped move ones around. Taking extra care and patience. She is a true asset to piercing pagoda

My dad bought 3 necklaces from this place and 2 months later I noticed one of the necklaces was turning black. We went back to see if they could help us with anything but instead we were just ignored and my dad who doesn’t speak much English was patiently waiting. After a while, one of the Hispanic girls told us she could try and wash it and see what would happen. We brought back the necklace but instead of washing it, the same girl told us she couldn’t do that because we didn’t pay “warranty”. Are you serious?? If she had told us from the first place, we wouldn’t have come back.

Lied about lost earring insurance replacingTwice pierced my girl as she was a baby , she kept on loosing the earring , they pierced it not good enough straight so I can put my own earrings and the holes closed and the 3rd time we pierced when she is 4 1/2 and I took the insurance as I told her our stories and the lady said insurance is the best option in that case if she looses again. And it happened a few days ago. I went to pagoda location in freehold raceway mall and was not the insurance doesn’t cover. What???? What’s the point of buying it? Especially i told the lady about 2 times of loosing it. Wasted my time and gas! PLEASE BE AWARE ! Triple ask before you buy! They are just making money and making false statements!!!!!

My husband and I took our 2 younger daughters (ages 5 and 1 1/2) to get their ears pierced yesterday. Sally and Chrissy were AMAZING. I honestly couldnt imagine it going that well with anyone else. They both were so good with the girls.Thank You Sally and Chrissy!!!!

Best for the kids Piercing. Allena, she was very patience with 10 month my daughter and did it precisely the way we wanted. Definitely recommend any one who wants to get their Babies ear piercing.

Out of all the times I’ve come here! I arrived at 7:55 pm just to see if I can purchase a ring I’ve been eyeing. Now I understand I was in a crunch because they were closing. However they gesture shouldn’t be able to shut the lights off while a customer is attempting to buy. The guy with the hideous blonde hair shut the light off right in the middle of me attempting to purchase. The lady tried to sell the ring but I was sooooo turned off by his way I left immediately.I hope he’s not a manager because that was very unprofessional

This place has so many options for infant earrings. Also the guy who works at Freehold Mall was very kind to our 12 week old baby and did a great job. I think its all about who is doing the piercing.

The girl Yessenia at the stand downstairs by the Victorias Secret is completely incompetent !!! She charged my card twice with over 1000$ taken out of my account and when I came back I was told Im sorry youll have to wait 10 business days and was sent on my way... Will NEVER purchase here again !

Banter by Piercing Pagoda at the Freehold Mall is a great location to get your ears pierced. Be sure to bring in the necessary document for your child.

Honestly I am only giving 1 star to leave a review otherwise they would get 0. The customer service here is outrageously terrible. I bought an item and needed to return it and was told I could not. There was no policy for the item being returned and they could not even give me as much as an exchange or merchandise credit. The manager does not know anything about customer service and I WILL NOT be coming back after wasting time and money!

Jewlery is hollow and over priced!! Baby screw back earrings, and the mens diamond screw backs are junk! The silver turns brown if you dont wear it. And the 10k turns copper looking

Got my ears pierced here & the lady who did it did not pierce them evenly! It looked so obviously crooked and so bad that I had to come back a second & third time to have them corrected. they still look a little uneven but honestly I will get them fixed somewhere else because I’m scared if I come back here they will mess them up even more
