Not only was Kay so sweet and super professional but I loved the fact that her space was just hers! I felt so comfortable especially as a women, getting my tattoo. Her hand is so gentle and her line work and art is just perfection!Having a space that felt welcoming and a tattoo artist that makes you feel safe and comfortable is amazing. From small personal things like her putting on my favorite show to watch or remembering details of past interactions.Her work is amazing and she is an amazing soul!

I have 6 tattoos from Kay now, including two fine line ones, and they are all STUNNING still! She is the only person I trust to tattoo me. Her studio is cozy and relaxed, and she ensures that each of her clients feels comfortable and safe. In the photos, the skeleton is one of my earlier tattoos from her (its about 3 years old and has been touched up once). The rainbow is about 2 years old, and the solar system is from May 2024. Both of them were designed 100% by Kay!

Kay is wonderful artist! She did all these tattoos on me at different time and each time she was so friendly and accommodating.She would always make sure I was okay in the chair and made sure I was well informed about the tattoos I was receiving. She mentioned that my palm tattoo would most likely fade quickly due to my occupation and made sure that it was still something I wanted to get done.I love goofy tattoos like the ones you see below and she never once made me feel like they were dumb to get. She always supported these little guys! Overall I had a great time getting tattoos by Kay and I WILL BE COMING BACK! Saving up for a big frog piece in my knee!!

I’ve proclaimed Kay as my main tattooist. Here’s why: First of all, I love her space! As someone who’s shy/reserved, it’s nice to get tatted in a private space. It’s always very nicely decorated and feels very homey. Second, Kay makes sure that you’re well taken care of and that you’re comfortable. She’s incredibly friendly and easy going. I’ve been tatted by people who barely say a word, but Kay makes you feel like you’re hanging with a friend. And third, Kay is so talented! Her work is awesome! For one of my tatts, I asked for a stamp of the Statue of Liberty and Empire State Building in her style of choice. She came up with a line work piece that was perfect! She’s also easy to talk to about any changes you’d want. Overall, she’s everything you’d want in a tattoo artist! I highly recommend!

I loved the whole experience with Kay! She’s so sweet and inviting. Her shop is clean and cute! I felt comfortable and was walked through the whole process nicely. I have other tattoos but she made the experience feel personal and unique. I loved it!And the tattoos are so cute!!!! Super precise and the lines are clean. Didn’t hurt at all! READ ME!!!!!! First off I want to say I’m very picky about how I want my tattoos to look especially how I want a joker tattoo to look. Not only did she make this the best tattoo I have, it’s the attention to the small details that makes this such an amazing tattoo. Her work is just incredible, her line work and the colors she uses are the best I’ve seen. I will say when it comes to shading she makes it hurt a lot less than other artists I have had in the past. You will not regret anything when you get your work done from her. I can’t wait to go back and get more tattoos with her

I wanted a cover up / rework on a recent tattoo. It was a combination design inspired from Naruto. The end result was amazing! She did a such a fantastic job! I’m definitely ready for my next work and will be going back! Definitely recommend going to Kay. She was kind and extremely knowledgeable about tattoos. Her studio was also very cozy.

I honestly cant say enough about how AMAZING my experience was with Kay. I have been following Kay on Instagram since before she had her own shop and knew I wanted her to be my tattooist. But once she got her own space, it was solidified.From the moment I walked in for the initial consult, I felt at ease. Her space is cozy and intimate and the vibe is immaculate. She patiently listened to my many ideas and gave me professional feedback and shared genuine enthusiasm about the projects. I felt like I was talking to a friend Ive known for years. I excitedly booked an appointment before leaving that day!I initially booked a half day appointment but once I shared more about my idea with Kay, she suggested a full day appointment because of the amount of detail. I really appreciate her open communication and making sure her clients are aware and able to achieve the desired results.Kay has thought of absolutely EVERYTHING one might need to make the experience as comfortable as possible. Seriously. Snacks? Drinks? Entertainment? Pillows? Blankets? ✅️ ✅️✅️✅️✅️Everything is clean, hygienic and Kay makes sure you know what is happening every step of the way. She made to sure to check in with me throughout the tattoo to make sure I was still doing ok.I sat in her chair for over 9 hours and it didnt feel like it at all!While Kays skill and artistry are impeccable (she listened to my idea and lovingly brought it to life, intuitively creating a masterpiece with elements that had additional meaning to me), it is her energy that makes me a lifetime client. She puts so much love into her designs and you can feel it. Thank you Kay for everything! I cant wait to come back! Im in love with my new art!

I got my first tattoos the other day, and from top to bottom the experience was surreal, fun, engaging and overall amazing. Kaye is light handed, super funny lol, and an excellent artist. Theresa is a gem as well. Will definitely go back for my other ideas!! Definitely check em out if in the market for some dope ink

I don’t know where to start from..Since I walked in Kay’s studio for the first time in November of 2023 I felt to comfortable and confident knowing that my first tattoo with her would come out to be amazing! She is so dedicated at her craft and she is always making sure that her clients feel comfortable, safe and happy while getting a tattoo. You hardly never feel the time either if your getting a small or big tattoo done because Kay is very dynamic and her aura is pure. I would 100% recommend getting a tattoo done by her, you will be left satisfied and pleased with her beautiful art on you.

Kay is amazing and I’m very happy with the final result of the tattoo! It was my first time getting a tattoo and I could not have chosen a better artist for it. She was very helpful throughout the whole process. The design was not finalized when I went to her but she gave me great suggestions that ended up being a perfect fit and took the time to make sure that I was happy and satisfied with the design. Also, the process of actually tattooing was smooth and painless (I felt the needle but it didn’t cause any noticeable pain really). It might be different for others but Kay is considerate about clients’ comfort so you’re in the best hands if you’re pain sensitive.P.S. you get to watch whatever you want on the tv during the whole process, as well as discuss stuff, which made the entire experience pretty chill.

Kay helped me with my first tattoo, and I have to say she was incredible and definitely the one of the best tattoo artists to work with in general. She was highly attentive, extremely detailed, a great source of conversation, and overall amazing. I cannot recommend her enough, I had met her through a friend who got a tat with her and decided for my first tattoo that I would work with her. It came out incredible, is healing super fast, and overall left the impression that I will get more with her.

Kay is awesome! I brought my mom and sister to get tattoos from Kay and it was the perfect day! Fun, relaxed, super clean studio! Kay did my first ever tattoo, and if I had known it would be like this I would have done it a decade ago!To start with, making the appointment and sending my general idea was a breeze. She very clearly is passionate about making art, and was stoked about my first tattoo. When I walked into her studio, it was like walking into her living room full of snacks and love (seriously, this place is cozy and fully equipped!).She took my general idea for a tattoo that Ive had for 10+ years and transformed it into a perfect upper arm tattoo (I think she has a whole art degree because shes GOOD)! She did all of the thinking and art and positioning for me but confirmed every step of the way, made sure I knew this was permanent (which I was excited about because her art NAILED what I wanted to express), and the actual tattoo process itself was fairly painless and actually pretty fun!Kay is an awesome human being. We watched Barbie and House of the Dragon together, and I would literally permanently mark myself just to spend more time talking and laughing with her.Shes the best rated 5 star tattoo artist in Gaithersburg for a good reason, and Id challenge any artist in the DMV to go toe to toe with the titan that is KAY THE TATTOOIST. You can fight me personally, and I will stand beside her in any of her work given what she did for me!

I first saw Kay on Instagram and instantly fell in love with her work. I went ahead and filled out the questionnaire and requested an appointment right away. The process was easy and simple. I arrived to Kay shop and noticed her place is very clean and comforting. Kay is very professional and listens to my needs and concerns. She also provided her professional opinions and input. I had three small to medium size tattoos done in one day. Kay also provided a aftercare package along with instructions. I absolutely love the results of the tattoos as well as the overall experience. Would definitely go back for more tattoos.

Kay is the sweetest & most genuine person I’ve ever met. It felt like I was being tatted by one of my best friends. She covered up my tattoo that I had done years ago and made it SO beautiful. I’m absolutely amazed. I couldn’t be more happy with my tattoo. I will definitely be coming back for more!!! She’s so talented and definitely the best tattoo artist I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with. She texted me the next day to check on me and see how I was feeling, she’s so sweet. Kaye truly is my favorite tattoo artist in the area! She takes her time to ensure the tattoo is done with care and her attention to detail is impeccable! I’ve now gotten three pieces from her and I love every single one of them and I’ve enjoyed every session hanging out with her, chatting, and creating absolutely beautiful works of art! If I could give her more than 5 stars, I would! I highly recommend her!!!

Kaye is an amazing and wonderful person to work with! She makes the process so easy. Ive been getting tattoos since I was 18 and Kaye by far has the lightest touch. Just recently we had a full day session which consisted of 11hrs! Naturally by the last hour I was starting to feel it but even so if it was anyone else I would for sure have suffered. From start to finish I could not be any happier. From the consultation to the final tattoo product. She actually treats you like a human being and very much makes you feel like youre at home. She has everything you would need if you are an extrovert or introverted person. You can either enjoy a wonderful conversation with Kaye or you can sit back and kick it on some Ps4. Play some games or watch some shows/movie. She also has plenty of snacks and drinks if you just so happen to need it. All in all, if youre in the area or just in the DMV in general, and youre looking to get tatted. I highly recommend checking Kaye out!

I was recommended to get my first tattoo by Kay and I was not disappointed. I felt that I was in good hands from the consultation to the actual tattoo session. I now have my first tattoo; a hummingbird in the middle of the sun pirates Jolly Roger. I fall in love with it everytimw I see it in the mirror.Also, I just love her studio❤️❤️❤️

Kay did an amazing job on my tattoos! Ive gotten all of mine from her. Her attention to detail and passion really shows in every piece! One of her specialities is fine line work that always looks amazing! Kay is also very sanitary. Every client gets a brand new needle! She also uses saniderm for all freshly done tattoos.Also, an added bonus is she has a wonderful personality and has a great energy to be around!She is new in the tattooing field but she is really great at what she does! Great overall experience with Kay. Very professional and very easy to work with. Responsive and extremely detailed. I agreed on a design, and was being indecisive and unsure about it last minute. I went into the appointment and she helped me come up with a new design and it looked absolutely incredible. I will be back for sure! Highly Recommend!
