Im a frequent customer of The Tattoo Shop, my tattoo artist of choice is Kevin Flores. Ive received several tattoos from Kevin now and I can say Im more than happy with each of his pieces. Kevin is pleasant to work with and is more than helpful when it comes to making a tattoo your own. Ive never had a bad experience when visiting the shop or with the healing process of any of my tattoos. He is definitely my go-to artist when I get the itch for new ink.

One of the BEST tattoo shops in Galveston! Chano started this beautiful piece of mines last year may 2021. I came into the shop nervous because I knew I had to get a huge tattoo to cover my ( mommy stretch marks) I was feeling insecure about my tummy. Chano said I’ll cover them for you! And LOOK at this beautiful tattoo!!!!! Im no longer insecure about my stomach. The price was very affordable and worth every Dollar! I’ll be back to start my sleeve soon ! I got a tattoo from John and so happy with it! I asked him for an American traditional flash piece and this is what he gave me!! Sweet atmosphere and easy to work with. Good pricing too. Definitely worth a stop if you’re in Galveston.

Plz forgive me...I was there this past summer out of town for my daughters BD & I wanted a tattoo that would showcase my weight loss journey. Chano did my tattoo and he did an exceptional job. I am coming back the weekend of May 30th - June 1st this year with my hubby and Im planning on getting another one from. I highly highly recommend him and his shop!!!!

My other half of 9 years and I finally got matching tattoos! Leo did an amazing job on these, they are better than we imagined! We met working at Walmart while zoning the pickle aisle and got together 2-14-13 so this may look crazy but its so meaningful. I love the owners of the tattoo shop in Galveston also! I was nervous and everyone sat and talked to me and distracted me from freaking out. This is just all around the best experience! So glad they accepted walk-ins and were able to make our entire weekend complete. There are no words to express how much we recommend checking them out for your next tattoo adventure ☺️. Justin did mine. Very laid back guy. Doesnt try to push his version of what you ask for, does his best to get your exact idea/vision on the paper. They have very good appreciation/attention to detail. Im a pretty picky person and my expectations were exceeded. Great overall experience. If you want a tattoo that will NOT look cheap 10/9 recommend this place.

Ive come here a few times now and honestly Its my go-to spot. They do good work its laid back atmosphere, chill people working there and the walls are absolutely loaded with interesting things. Im comfortable here.

My daughter and I both got tattoos here with Chano as our artist. Very good quality, reasonable price, and we are both very happy with our results. Chano did a great job. The other full time artist working was Jay and he was doing a very nice owl for someone and it looked very good as well. This is a great shop and we would both definitely come back for more.

When I first moved to the Galveston area I heard that Chano was the best tattoo guy around,,, I figured since I heard everyone talking about him hed be to pricey for me so I went a different route and got a tattoo from someone else..The tattoo that I got was,,,, well,, it was OK. As the years went by, I started to hate the thing and wondered what I could do to make it better.Thursday I decided to go ahead and bite the bullet and call Chano to see if he could do anything with it, he told me that hed have to look at it before he could say anything, he said that they open at 2:00 and its a first come first serve kinda place, so after work on Friday I stopped in just for a look see . Well here it is Saturday and that OK tattoo is now way the hell better. I wish I would have gone to him sooner because his prices arent bad at all.If you are thinking about getting a tattoo,, stop here,, he has a staff of other artists,, my advice would be,,, ask for Chano personally, if hes busy then wait,,, you probably wont have to wait that long and it will be well worth it.

They slayed! They are super funny and friendly. Both tattoo artists got exactly what me and my friend were wanting. They also took the time to let us know exactly how we wanted our tattoos and even gave us advice and suggestions on how they could do it. The cursive one was $200 and the year was $100. Overall 10/10. They ateeeee!

Chano is a great artist! my wife and I have been going to him since 2016 for all our tattoos! Needless to say almost a whole sleeve on myself and a beautiful quarter sleeve on my wife , we definitely don’t trust anyone else with our tattoos! Great work Chano we will definitely be back soon!

Tattoo artist Chano was great. He listened to what I wanted and took his time doing the work. I was on vacation and decided to get a tattoo for memories. I am definitely pleased with the work I received and the friendliness of the tattoo artist.

I went in with a bunch of friends to get a sea turtle on our feet and the Mexican guy did 3 of my friends tattoos in under 40 minutes to where the other guy took 40 minutes to do mine and definitely overworked it. The other 3 tattoos the Mexican guy did looks awesome! To where mine looks horrible from being overworked. I’m highly disappointed in the tattoo. I literally have a chunk of skin missing! The picture is a week later! I definitely have taken proper care for it and it just looks horrible 😩

Got my first tattoo here and couldnt be happier. Chano did a fantastic job working on it from design through inking it. All the staff was really friendly and patient. Ive already made plans to go back here to get my second tattoo in a couple years. I would highly recommend this shop.

Knew I wanted my sons name and bday but didn’t know what kind of font. Chano whipped something up and after it was finished I teared up because it was absolutely beautiful. Would 100% recommend! I was visiting Galveston for a few days for some R and R and decided to stop by The Tattoo Shop on my way home. I was immediately greeted by Chano. The energy was so welcoming and inviting. Cookie was my tattoo artist and was amazing. He paid attention to detail and made sure I was 100% satisfied. I usually go to another place when visiting to get tattoos but The Tattoo Shop is my new go to. If you’re local or just visiting Galveston, I highly recommend checking these guys out.

To be honest, I was kind of nervous to get my first piece. but after the sketches and talking to the artist, all my worries started melting away. I had a big piece put the time flew by as I talk to The Artist. And it looks amazing! Definitely will be coming back!

Chano gave me a great piece. I really mean that. The staff are invested in your piece and they had me sat down, inked up, and cleaned up in no time. They have fair prices and clean equipment. My brother, Justin Stafford, is an artist at this shop. Hes an amazing artist, always has been, and tattooing is his heart and soul. He knows your tattoo means something to you and he wants you to love it. Not only is he talented, but he takes his work seriously. Id recommend him over anyone.

My sister and I came in as walk ins at the end of a family trip. We had ideas Leo and Austin brought them to life. Leo was super patient and skilled combining my ideas into 1 design and working through my twitching leg. They’re all talented artists that are fun and personable too. My son and I decided to get tattoos today. We are from the island so there are several shops to choose from. I went to eat and I asked locals their opinion . The tattoo shop - Chano is the answer I got . I’ve had several friends agree. We definitely very happy we listened . Nico was great she asked every step of the way if the tattoo was exactly what I wanted . The price was fair and the tattoo is perfect! My son also got his first tattoo and his tattoo artist was Leo . Leo went over our expectations because he suggested ideas on the tattoo to make it even better than my son had imagined ! We definitely will be back for more !!! We came to Galveston for a girls trip with 8 girls in total! 4 of us wanted small quarter sized tattoos and I am going to assume all 4 of the tattoo artists were there and they were SO amazing. Two of us were getting our very first tattoos and they were extremely comforting. Not to mention the whole group was extremely funny and real with you! Nico did amazing on my little tattoo and she also did another one of the girls. Chano was hilarious and you’ll definitely need a sense of humor to love this group! 5 stars!

My boyfriend and I got our first tattoo here! While visiting my family on Galveston island last month, my cousin recommended Chano from this tattoo shop to us. We had found our inspiration for the tatts online and showed them to Chano. We didnt want exact matching tattoos but did want them to be similar; mine is a piece of my boyfriends just smaller. Chano suggested the colors and they came out amazing!!! Everyone in the shop was very friendly and welcoming. It was a great first time experience for sure. We cant wait to go back to get our next tattoo!!

Chano is an awesome tattoo artist who always makes each session a fun time and makes an effort to ensure that the client is comfortable and not in pain. The shop has been extremely clean and professional all three times I have been there and I plan to continue going there for future tattoos. Tattoo artist Justin, is awesome & talented. Clean surroundings also. Front staff rushed the process of selection, complained about wasting paper and printer ink, insinuated I was making a mess on the counter, for setting one thing down. He was rude, and I almost left over front staff. Justin gets 5 Stars, owner//manager 2P.S. Should you choose to glue the clipboards to the counter, do it at night so the glue has time to dry. That way your customer wont irritate you!

I have gotten several tattoos done by Chuck. He is one of the greatest tattoo artist I have ever encountered. During my first tattoo (2013), I was extremely nervous, but Chuck made the whole experience brilliant. He explained everything out to me, talked me through the entire process and was one of the nicest people I have met. I would recommend him to anyone. He is really skilled at photo realism. I have since had several tattoos done by him. All of which are photo realism. Chuck was able to take my idea and turn it to reality better than you could imagine. He took the time to draw the tattoo and asked for my input to ensure I was satisfied and comfortable before we began. I was thoroughly impressed with the work and I keep coming back for more. Chuck continues to go above and beyond my expectations. A tattoo some is something that will last a lifetime, so be sure youve got the right artist...luckily Chuck is the right guy for the job.

I had visited this shop in the summer and had work done by Chuck. He did a great job, the coloring and detail were perfect. I recently went and I was able to experience Kevins work. He did a great job as well. He was able to help me add detail to my ideas. He also touched up a previous tattoo I had gotten done at another shop. He was able to blend the colors and shading very well. I would highly recommend this shop! Great job by both artists Chuck and Kevin. The vibe in the shop is awesome, they are all willing to help and add advice without pressuring you. I will be visiting the shop soon again.

My fiancé and I were on vacation in Galveston last week and decided to get tattoos to commemorate our time there. Chano did my lighthouse and I absolutely love it!! I give 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ to him!! However, the girl who did my fiancés tattoo was clearly not very experienced. At first glance it looked great but once we got back to the hotel we noticed all the flaws: the black lines were of different thickness, the red outline looks like it was drawn on with crayon by a 1st grader, and she added a line across the middle square that shouldnt have been there. It was very disappointing and he will now have to pay to get it fixed!!

Awesome shop. I was in town with my family and this by far the cleanest, most inviting shop on the island. Chano took a simple drawing I had,cleaned it up and added some great detail for a nice mermaid on my shoulder. Call them for an appointment if you can and its definitely worth it.

The guys that I met (Chuck & Kevin) were nice!Chuck was booked throughout the week and we were only visiting Galveston for our honeymoon and wanted to get a couples tat.Chuck told us to call/text Kevin to see if he had any available openings the next day and he did ..asked what we wanted how big and where. Not rude at All! Let us see the sketches he had come up with and ran his ideas by us and vice versa and made sure we liked it and if we wanted to change or adjust anything.The customer service from these guys is awesome.The shop is kept clean too! A lot of construction going on on the streets surrounding it but its temporary.My husband and I were very pleased!Great work & attention to detail!

This place is absolutely amazing. The people are friendly, the entire place is extremely clean, and they make hygiene and sanitation their top priority.Before I found this place, I received a shoddy tattoo from another location, and it left me feeling wary of local artists. After lots of conversation with a friend, I listened to her recommendation that I go in and meet with Kevin Flores about getting another tattoo, and Im so glad I did!! He answered all my questions, made sure he understood exactly what I wanted, and kept my comfort during the tattooing process at the forefront.18 months later, I have had multiple tattoos done by Kevin, and he has my complete confidence. Every time I come to him with an idea for a new tattoo, he works with me to refine the idea and the final product is always stunning.If youre considering getting a tattoo, any of the guys at The Tattoo Shop are great guys, but Kevin is my personal favourite. The artists are professional and the shop is clean and bright. Chuck Jones was easy to work with. He drew up exactly what I wanted. He is artistic and fast. This was my first tat by Chuck but not my last. Chano Zuniga did most of my work which I still love. You cant go wrong with either of these guys.

I personally believe they’re way over priced.I have 9 tattoos of different color types and sizes, from many different shops. I went in for an simple design of a 2x2 inch piece for my forearm and waited 45 minuets after my called in appointment time, the artist then saw the design, sucked his teeth and said $200.. I then went to a much better shop, got the same tattoo of same size for 120. Imagine that.Definitely wouldn’t recommend.

Everyone is great, super talented, and the shops a clean, friendly environment. Awesome jewelry and a knowledgable piercer to boot. Every artist is reputable and notable, but Ive got 6 tattoos from Chuck and only plan on getting more! Hes got an amazing eye for color and detail and his works always on point, stellar artist all around. Id love to get a unique piece from all their artists eventually; Im so grateful to have found this place, definitely wouldnt go anywhere else on the island for superb ink 👌🏼👌🏼

The shop is great: very clean, the atmosphere is welcoming, and the artists themselves are beyond phenomenal. While I havent personally been tattooed by Chano, I know a few people who have and have had nothing but compliments for him and his work. Personally, I have a few pieces done by Chuck and I plan on getting more. He makes you feel comfortable and at ease- from the moment you sit down to toss ideas to seeing the finished work. He really cares about the quality of his work and respecting the meaning behind your tattoo (if there is one). He has such a wide range as far as style and versatility goes. If you arent ready for the commitment of a tattoo, he sells his artwork that is just as unique as he is. This is a person who takes a tremendous amount of pride in his work so whether tattoo or custom drawing, youre always going to get nothing but his best.

Went and saw Chano after doing lots of research on local artists. And might I say I am so pleased with the work!!!! My tatt is freaking BEAUTIFUL and Chano is the man!!!! Absolutely bad a$$ artist!!! I got my first tattoo last night and I cant say enough to express the satisfaction I walked away from this experience! Chano answered all my questions and when he saw what I wanted he ran with it. His shop is clean and his penchant for detail shows in his artistry. Because of his experience I sat in the chair a fraction of the time that it wouldve taken others. His prices are extremely reasonable so dont forget to tip! I will definitely be back.

I took my friend to get matching tattoos as a souvenirs for our first girl trip. The guys that greeted us were very nice and put my friend at ease about getting her first tattoo. Went to this shop for my 1st tattoo and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. CHANO is the man. He has many years of experience and awards under his belt so he definitely knows his stuff. I really like the fact that he took the time to sit and talk with me about what would work and what would actually last. Many tattoo artist will just slap on whatever u want to put on u, but Chano wants his work to be quality that will last for a long period of time. I really appreciated that. Recently came here to get a tattoo done. The artist Julian was able to excecute my idea for my tattoo perfectly! I had an overall amazing experience from the actual tattoo to having great conversation with Julian and his coworkers. I dont make a habit of going to just any Tattoo Shop. Ive been getting tattoos for 25 years and have always used the same great tattoo shop in the state I live. I was visiting Galveston for vacation with a girlfriend of mine. I visited a few shops on the island and none were as nice as this one! Their decor is pretty cool too! The service and advice provided was just what I wanted to receive from an artist. His work was even better than imagined. Im super happy we decided to get our matching tats here. Thanks! Justin did a tattoo for me yesterday. It was a memorial tattoo for my son who passed away in December. He is an amazing artist, and I will go back to him again.

The gentlemen at the front desk was incredibly rude and acted like our presence was an inconvenience. You’d think when 4 sober people walk in and want to give you their business two hours before closing, they would want to accommodate. He quoted us an outrageous price for a very small, simple image and was not willing to negotiate. Thankfully we were able to go somewhere else in town and get our tattoos with a friendly staff for half the price....and it looks great!

We went to two shops before these guys and were ignored or not impressed with the people in the shop.Chano, Nico and the other people here were very welcoming and professional.Nico did my piece and she did great. I love it snd hope to return to get something else done.

I have been to the tattoo shop several times and I love it my tattoo artist is Chuck Jones he does an amazing job. He has done all my tattoos which include a beautiful portrait of my dad and a stairway to heaven. He comes up with unique tattoo designs that no one else will have he is a great tattoo artist and the shop is always clean and professional.

Chuck Jones is one of the most amazing artists -- tattoo or otherwise -- who Ive ever met. I brought him a little rough draft of an idea I had in mind and left it with him. He called me a few hours later, and showed me the most beautiful, awesome and amazing pictures Ive ever seen. I got the tattoo to wrap almost all the way around my calf. I have plans to return to him soon, to touch up some color on some old tattoos, but to give me another new tattoo, also. I cant wait to visit him again and show me his interpretation of what I have in my mind. I dont doubt that it will exceed my expectations. I would -- and have --- referred numerous people to go see him. I think Ive given away probably 20 business cards that he sent with me. They all went to people I didnt know, but who would take the time to approach me and ask about the beautiful tattoo that he did.

The shop is located close to the beach, is a fun environment and they are reasonably priced. The tattoo artists are very knowledgeable and talented; especially Chuck. He has a serious eye for great tattoo design and tells it like it is. He can take your shell of an idea and completely run with and turn it into something youll love. Ive been tattooed by him three times and hes also tattooed both of my parents. Hes the kind of tattoo artist people will wait a year to get work done by him instead of going to someone else. I get an insane amount of compliments on the undead Dorothy Dandridge he did for me. It doesnt get any better than him in my opinion.

Ive never had Chano perform but Ive seen his patience and determination through his work while I sit aside.However, when i hired Chuck Jones for a coverup/facelift, he brought life to a tattoo I thought was better off removed via laser.Through meticulous and strenuous work and three to fours hours later, Chuck broke through the ice with an amazing, cosmetic revival of such an ugly tattoo and up til this day, those who get to see it and ask about it, walk away with The Tattoo Shops phone number and address.

Chano did a great job on a coverup that he first thought was impossible. He has a really light hand. My tattoo is an entire shoulder piece and my tat healed in less than a week!!! I highly recommend this place and Chano!

Chuck and Chano have both tattooed me and I honestly wouldnt go anywhere else. I just moved to ATX and I plan on making trips down to Galveston just to get tattooed by them. Im from Louisiana, always known for our southern hospitality. I must say the 4.9 stars for this shop was spot on. ... very great staff, everyone has a great sense of humor and nice personalities on top of awesome artistic skills. Chuck greeted us at the door with open arms and walked me through the process from start to finish. I dont think Ive ever been so excited to get a tattoo considering the pain. He did a coverup and anagram on my back. I laughed so much during my session that it completely blocked out what Chuck was doing. He has done the top of my foot, my shoulder, Inside of my Ear... Yes! I said the inside of my Ear... This shop seemed nice at first, but we got a couple tattoos here done by Kevin and i am HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED. It healed horribly, looks really shoddy, and he seemed to take a really long time. He was having problems with his tattoo gun and he just kept tattooing and that shouldve been my first clue to leave. I cant believe we came here, he ruined my tattoo and we wont ever be back. He needs to reevaluate his job choices because tattooing isnt it. Now Im seeking another shop for a cover up.

I was shocked about the bad service since they have amazing reviews. Rude. I sent a message asking if they could do a ballpark estimate for something I had the exact image, and exact dimensions I wanted done. They sent me, Sorry, no procong over internet or phone. Explained I couldnt physically drive to each shop because Im disabled and got the same response and no response when I asked another question, looks like someone couldnt be bothered to talk. I understand why you want to meet in person as Im covered in tattoos and piercings, but maybe be nicer about it. No other shop had any issues with giving me what range it would cost and everyone else was really nice about it. Youve just literally lost lost the owner thousands of dollars because I was going to use you all permanently.

Original he was doing a piece on my boyfriend and when I saw it finished I had to get one too. I ended up getting 2 tattoos that day and they are both beautiful. Already planning another trip to Galveston to get a new one!

Chuck is so creative that if you just tell him what your idea is for your tatoo he can make the stencil for it and then he will add his flair to it.
