Very kind people! I spoke to a woman (I can’t remember her name unfortunately) about getting permission to let my son take his photos inside and outside the shop for his birthday photos. (It’s tattoo themed) we wanted to make some posters to hang for the party. She gave us the green light! We got there and was given a warm welcome! Everyone was talkative and engaging. A kind artist named Ricky even offered up his room to let my son take pictures in the chair and add to the vibe. Even though we did not get any actual work done, I believe their character spoke louder than getting any physical services done. My son’s confidence was out the roof all thanks to their generosity. Thank you!!! We decided on 30 plus photos to make posters with these are just a few. 10/10 recommend

Me and my friend got our friday the 13th ankle tattoos yesterday! it was a great experience with every person at the shop we spoke to . Our tattooist Ricky was great and finished both pretty quickly . Would recommend this place 100%

The nicest cleanest studio I have ever visited. The staff is extremely personable and friendly. The attention to detail and meticulous organization of the studio was soothing in its own way. Going to be traveling back across the country just to come here again. And Lupi is an amazing artist and great person.

Went to Von Striga Art Parlor seeking a half sleeve forearm tattoo. The shop was clean and decorated in highly nostalgic 1980’s pop-art memorabilia. The woman at the front desk was kind and attentive and promptly introduced us to a tattoo artist “Ricky.”Ricky provided examples of his work and addressed every question professionally. His work is A+ and he quoted a reasonable ballpark on the work to be performed.During the session Ricky was fun and knowledgeable and his work was even better than hoped.I highly recommend Ricky and Von Striga Art Parlor. This was a great experience.Thank you Ricky and staff!

Wow we came in early and got set up with Tommy and he did not disappoint!! He was awesome super friendly and did a great job. Me and my mom and daughter went I wasnt able to get mine due to having surgery but will definitely be making a day trip to get him to do mine too!! Super cool guy!! Amazing parlor! People were the friendliest, most welcoming staff. Super clean (and very cute) facility. We felt so at-home and fit right in as soon as we walked in the door. The artist were very accomadating and understanding, we never felt rushed in making our decisions.

Ricky was awesome! This was my first, and second tatoo. Me and my wife both got tattoos. Incredible attention to detail, reasonably priced, and I could legitimately hang out with this guy anytime. Tommy did an amazing job on my line work tattoo. I was only charged $80 and it only took around 30 minutes. I am absolutely blown away by how cute it is and how well done it is. For my first tattoo I felt very comfortable and safe. Thank you so much Tommy and Von Striga tattoo.

Can’t say enough great things about Von Striga Art Parlor. We had 9 people wanting a tattoo and they were so accommodating and nice. Summer (amazing) was our point of contact and she was able to make our appointment and even called us to come in a little early so we could be finished by our dinner reservations. Julian pierced both me and my daughter yesterday. I was so worried that getting both nostrils pierced would make my nose look even bigger, but it doesn’t have any redness or swelling! He was quick and professional and explained everything to us thoroughly. He listened when I told him I didn’t like the placements and was very patient with me after changing the placement 2-3 times. Very clean environment and very lovely people. I would definitely recommend and definitely would come here again in the future!

Incredibly happy with my tattoo! I wanted a minimalist fine line tattoo, for my first tattoo and Im so in love with it! Lupi, was kind, professional, and very light handed, which Im grateful for, because I was so nervous about the pain factor. I cannot reccomend her enough!

I am from Missouri so was very unsure if this place would be good or not but was pleasantly surprised when walking into Von Striga. Everyone was very welcoming, easy to work with, and priced fairly. I worked with Ricky and he was super chill and welcoming. If I go back to Galveston, I’ll be going to this place for my tattoos!

Update 4/20/24 - Reese moved and I was bummed until I had Robert tat me. I’m a huge Robert fan and will continue to have him tat me. And I will refer everyone to him once I’m done with him. lol. Husband set me up an appointment for my Christmas present but forgot to set up a babysitter. The Von Striga staff was incredibly helpful and diligent about getting back to me and even let my son hang out for the appointment. The staff are great! Super easy to schedule work and coordinate your design wishes with the artist. Ricky @clowny_dagger was my artist and amazed me with his clean lines and skills. Very professional and great to talk with. My wife had work done with Lupi (Salina) very talented and again clean lines for detailed finger tattoo. GO HERE! The sweetest staff ever. I’ve been to several tattoo shops and this was by far the best. VERY cheap for piercings and excellent service. I fainted during mine and all the staff was there to support me and make sure I was okay. Amazing experience that I would one hundred percent recommend!!

Clean, professional, personable experience! First time to visit Galveston and my husband and I had an appointment with Reese to get matching tattoos for our Anniversary. Reese was very patient and came up with a beautiful design to fit our thoughts. He is a very talented artist and made us feel very comfortable. The entire staff was so pleasant! Had a really nice experience with Riley! My wife and I were wanting to commemorate a rare vacation and, after a couple of recommendations, we ran right over. We walked in when they opened (11am) on Sunday and were placed on their walk in list after giving our design ideas. We were called promptly around the time they predicted and showed up with artwork all ready for us. We met with Riley, made some tweaks and were in and out in about an hour and a half for two tattoos, stencil to completion.The shop is very clean, they have great interactive portfolios and everyone was professional all the way through. Pricing is fair for their professionalism, communication and quality of artists. Definitely not cheap, but not obscene.Also walk-ins are a big part of their business so you can feel confident they know how to work with you, if youre nervous about just showing up!Get your ink with confidence!

My partner and I went in for a walk-in and were happily helped by professional staff! The building was incredibly clean and the employees were helpful and accommodating. Our artist, Celina, was very friendly and did a fantastic job on both our tattoos. We would make the drive to come back to their shop! We were both very impressed with the cleanliness, professionalism, and great prices. Seriously great!

I took my 6-year-old daughter to get her ears pierced. The piercer Jules was absolutely amazing. He was incredibly kind and patient with my kiddo who was so nervous. He did a really good job too! I would HIGHLY recommend him for your piercings!

I have been tattooed by Sierra for the past 7 months and I have almost been going in every other week. She is a great artist and always makes you feel at home. I love every single piece I get and will continue to go to her. The staff and the owner are all very great people. It’s always a great experience going in for some work. Probably the he nicest and cleanest shop I’ve ever been too. 11/10. They set the bar high here.

Had a great time! Traveled all the way from SA and was pleasantly surprised by the Excellent Customer Service and clean environment! Got 2 tattoos by the artist (Sierra), And they made me feel super comfortable through the whole process and I had a good time! Sierra is such a good hang and not once was I bored wanting to go home 🤙🏻Both tattoos are about 2 months healed and they look fantastic. I am 67 years old and decided to get my first tattoo. I emailed Mel a picture and then a week later emailed another one to ask if she could incorporate it, which she did. The process from start to finish was very smooth. It was an amazing experience. Mel was so sweet and funny. I felt great during the whole process. When she finished her fantastic artwork I had the most beautiful Tree of Life on my arm. I love it! Mel is the best!

It started with myself calling the shop for info. They answered the phone with a welcoming voice and explained and answered our questions with such patience. We got to the shop and was greeted with such friendliness! The shop was extremely and immaculately clean. Very nice lounge to wait. Wait was not long at all since we literally just walked in without an appointment. Kevin was very patient and step by step walked me through the process. He’s not heavy handed at all and I promise the pain was minimal and he’s very gentle. My son also got a tattoo by Rich and he was very prompt and patient with helping my son with his design. We were both in and out within 1 and a 1/2. We live out of town but I will definitely make the extra drive to come back to this shop. Seriously, everyone was so polite and held great conversation. If we could give you guys 10 stars we would! Can’t wait to come back for our next pieces.

I absolutely loved my experience here! I was very anxious to get my septum repierced, but the staff was so polite and understanding, and that really helped put me at ease. My husband and I just left from there and Zach was amazing!! He is very detail oriented and did an AMAZING job on my husband and I! We are here on vacation and we are so happy we chose him (based on reviews and the suggestion from messaging the shop on Facebook). Next time we’re in town we will definitely be coming back to Zach! The shop is so clean and everyone we talked to was so nice and easy to carry on conversation with. Even fellow artist were coming in to see the progress and complimenting Zach on his work.

Robert was amazing! First tattoo ever was done today. He knew when I needed more conversation to ease my mind of the pain, he took his time and paid attention to detail. When I asked questions or asked him to add or change something he understood and was very helpful,polite, and considerate. The staff was also polite and accepted the fact that we had our son with us. It was an amazing experience and Id drive the distance just to get tatted by him again🙂

Mel was awesome! She took what we wanted and made it amazing! The overall experience was fun, comfortable, and everything is so clean! If you are avoiding tattoo shops because of Covid, dont avoid this one. This place is cleaner than most doctors offices. Not the typical tattoo shop by any means. So professional and yet comfortable. My mother in law and sister where there with me. We all got tattoos!! I cant say enough good things about Mel. Thank you for a most positive experience Mel!!

I had gotten a couple tattoos from CK before at a different shop. I would have to say that this parlor is by far the best place Ive ever gone to receive any art work done. I was very pleased with how friendly the entire staff was. CK is the most talented artist Ive seen to date in the Houston Metro area. I recommend him & his new CLEAN shop to anyone whos looking to get work done. Prices are very reasonable for the quality of work you receive. Cant wait to get more work done in the future!

I just wanted to give out Shout Out to Kevin. He did a great job on my faith tattoo and was able to squeeze me to get it done. . The people there are soo nice and welcoming to where you feel comfortable being in there.. The studio is also very clean and set up to where it is organized . I would definitely go back for my next one. I definitely recommend coming here.

Unfortunately, I was disappointed. My artist wasnt prepared even though we had an in person discussion including pictures when I originally scheduled my appointment. I sent an email (that she did not open until I arrived). So there was no art done prior to my arrival. I was also told she had limited time because she had an appointment after me. Okay. I waited 37 minutes (lunch arrived for my artist while I was waiting), until I just told the receptionist they could keep my $50 deposit but I was leaving. She asked why and I explained. My opinion only, but I want an artist that at least cares. Coming up with a design on the fly, not allotting time (yet 40 minutes of my time was used for??) Is just not professional. Another patron arrived, her artist had her design ready and was underway in 10 minutes. So the establishment is on point, I just wasnt as lucky I guess.

This is the cleanest and nicest shop I have ever been to in my years of being both pierced and tattooed. I came to Sierra with my unfinished half sleeve and she turned it into everything I wanted and more. My colors are super vibrant and the line work is incredible. Sierra is also very friendly and personable, it was never awkward sitting there. 10/10 tattoo artist. I don’t think I’ll ever go to anybody else and my dad will be going to Sierra for his next tattoo.

Love this place! Have had a few poor tattoo experiences but this place has changed the game! Their shop is huge and very clean, with nice waiting areas. Both myself, my sister in law, and my brother got tattoos here, and each artist did an incredible job! Shout out especially to @lupitattoo who did an incredible job and absolutely read my mind! This shop is now my go to tattoo place!

I recently went into Von Striga and got a tattoo from Sierra. She was so relaxed, professional and easy to talk to. You could tell she was an artist and dedicated to her profession. The place was clean and accommodating. I was a little shaky and scared about getting a tattoo but she made sure to tattoo at my pace. I love my tattoo! It’s perfect. I will be going back to Sierra!

My wife and I had some work done and the guy who did them (Young baby faced guy with tattoos on his face) said if they are too light to come back and touch them up, No Problem! That is an absolute LIE!! We called several times but he was always busy then the last time we called the receptionist said it would be a couple months before they could get us in. I explained that I am a contractor and travel for my work and would be leaving the area in a couple weeks but that didnt mean anything to them. My review is while this is a top shelf shop they have at least one artist that is a real POS.

I went on my 18th birthday and then 7 days after in 2018. Sierra did both and they were awesome. I couldnt have asked for a better experience. They talked me through the tattoo and helped distract me from the pain with funny stories and just overall made me feel really comfortable. I would definitely come back. I also got to meet and talk to some of the other artists there and everyone has a super cool vibe and are so nice. I highly recommend going for your tattoos and piercings. I had a piercing done there and the guy was great, talked me through the whole thing.

This shop is awesome! Ck is a badass artist. He did my first tattoo he was pretty light handed and came up with a great design and tattoo. The staff there was awesome and the building is really clean and is real modern looking. This is my go to shop from here on out.

Came here to get a couple piercings for my bday, Jewls was an amazing piercer, took his time, lined up the piercings perfectly, and made sure it looked good from all angles. Did my right eyebrow and thru bottom lip, cleaned up my skin when they got a bit messy too. 10/10 experience, reccomend coming to him for future piercings :))

Completely disappointing!! Called on a Thursday to get an appointment for a consultation. I spoke to the receptionist and she told me that I could come in anytime that weekend and talk to someone. My wife and I went in on Sunday; All of the artists were there but were all tattooing other people and could not speak at that time. We live about 30 minutes away so we asked if there was an ETA when they would be done. We figured we could go get a bite to eat or something and come back. The receptionist would not even ask the artist when they would be done. What is the point of having a receptionist if she cannot make appointments and doesnt know whats going on with the artists?

Very clean bright shop with top notch artists. Kevin was great to work with. And he killed it with these Tattoos.

This is the worst tattoo I got. Its only two weeks old. The woman who did this. Must have been practicing.

Fiancé and myself took a little trip to Galveston and found VonStriga, went in to speak with an artist about getting a tattoo. Ricky was there and managed to work both of us in that day. His skills and attention to detail are impeccable. We told him what we wanted and he found a few designs for us to choose from and gave us a quote. We both will definitely be coming back and is well worth the trip.

Everyone is very helpful and cooperative. I felt very comfortable with staff and piercers. All equipment was clean and their piercers was very prepared. We were in a rush, but they were all still informative. Very reasonable and fair price. Thank you to everyone who helped out and made my birthday a success.

My sister and I showed up looking to get a tattoo. We showed up at 10:50 and waited for an artist to come to work. The shop opened at 11. You would think at least one will show up on time. At 11:30 an artist finally showed up but said he was booked all day. Then we waited another 20 minutes for another artist to show up. So waiting 2 hours was a huge waste of time for us!! Would not recommend this shop as a walk in. The people were clueless when artist were coming to work, or even tried to contact anyone. Save your money and go to The Tattoo Shop!!! Got in and out in under 30 minutes- no waiting!!

I recently went to VonStriga to get a tattoo with my brothers while I was visiting. I ended up with a younger artist named Sierra, and my god was she phenomenal. She was so professional and clean and not to mention her work was worth the time there. My brothers and I couldn’t be happier! Next time I’m in Texas I’ll definitely be seeing her for another!!

Really clean place! The staff is super friendly and really informative about all of their processes. They have little windows into each of the rooms so you can see in and watch the process if you came with friends or family! They super disinfect everything and take really good care of their equipment and their rooms! Next time were in Galveston, well definitely be back!

Called ahead and the receptionist was very polite and helpful. We were able to get in with Celina and she was AWESOME! She is so talented and our flowers turned out beautiful. I will be coming back to her again.

Came in to start a project, 1st tattoo and I couldnt have been more satisfied with the results. Ricky, or @Clowny_Daggers on insta, was a pleasure to work with. Im a perfectionist and I was worried about clean lines and shading on this piece. Well Ricky did an amazing job. Better than I expected even! 5 hours later he finished my #WeThePoeple tattoo on my RT forearm and its amazing. Amazing artist and amazing vision. I went to this tattoo shop and was surprised to see how clean and nice this place was. Most tattoo parlor I have been too look like some ones garage filled with cluttered walls. The staff here were super friendly and easy to talk to, they helped me immediately. Im super satisfied with my visit.

Clean shop & friendly staff!I was tattooed by Sierra, she’s super versatile, talented and listens. I LOVE all the pieces I’ve collected from her so far. Clean lines, shading, and healed perfectly.

Shop overall is clean and welcoming.Sierra commissioned two decently sized pieces for me in about a 6 week time period this spring. One cover-up/addition of some sunflowers and a portrait-type piece. Both have healed pretty nicely in the last month and there hasnt been really any fallout or need for touchups, which is great. The ONLY temporary issue with healing was repeated use of saniderm after each session (rash/skin sensitivity), which was no fault of Sierras and ultimately had no lasting affect on the tattoos.She was very open to feedback (not arrogant, more than willing to modify her work to fit client vision) and was very fair about her pricing. With the tattoos that I got and the other work I have seen on her Instagram, I think shes in a really solid place as an artist and I am excited to see her continued growth in this industry.

Everyone was amazing.. this is not your average tattoo parlor. Neat, clean with an inviting waiting area. BUT.... Bring cash else you get the 3dollars for each hundred you spend gouge ... which is ridiculous because you could spend $4 and pull 300 out of the ATM that is on premises but they dont tell you that until its too late. And just for the record, we will be going back again. Thats how good they are! But this time with cash!

The vibe and scenery there is beyond great. Wasnt planning on actually getting any tattoos done here, however I ran into Sierras page on Instagram and well, couldnt help myself with her designs. I was only in Galveston for school but now Im defiently going back to get more pieces done by her. Shes clean, dedicated and most of all, chill. Best tattoo artist Ive had so far.

Have been in twice so far and had some tattoos from 25 years ago reworked by Zach. He doing great work. Facility is clean and welcoming. Definitely a place I would recommend.

Ricky and Tommy are the best! Last day of vacation we came in and they helped three of my friends and were very knowledgeable and caring!

Best studio Ive visited, the reception area is gorgeous. After getting checked in we walked to the waiting room located behind reception area, which was immaculate, there was plenty of seats very spacious as well. The technicians did a great job of explaining every step and what they were doing.

My favorite past time! Getting ink therapy at Von Striga! Theyre Grrrrreeeeeaaaat!

My daughter wanted her first tattoo to be the family tattoo and she chose Von Striga to get it done. She called that morning a d though they were booked they called back and found room for her AND her friend as well as a piercing for another friend.

Got my first tattoo while we were here. I absolutely love it and was impressed by the professionalism of the staff and the cleanliness of the parlor. Will definitely be returning to have my next one done by Lupi.

I had called to see if they had any openings for two tattoos because there was a car show going on and it was EXTREMELY busy otherwise we would have just stopped in but finding parking was practically impossible. But anyways when I called they said yeah come on in! We were like heck yes, so we parked 3 blocks away and walked, when we got there they told us we couldnt enter without a mask on.Thats cool if they want to make that a rule for their buisness to be open but i feel they should have reminded/ asked us to bring a mask so we could have either brought our masks or had the opportunity to decided not to go to that tattoo shop, which us ultimately what we decided, not to go. It was 100 degrees and HUMID.I dont hate this place just unfortunately had a bad first impression.

5 out of 5 stars because they usually play Shrek 2 in the background. Ive gotten 4 tattoos from Seirra alone and planning more. They all came out really good. Clean lines, quality colors that stick, and even a cover up with no scaring. The entire staff pulls great work, and you can tell they have a passion for what they do. Thanks guys, yall make me the prettiest ogre in the swamp

They were a life saver. I lost my nose ring and didnt want to have to drive all over the island to find a new one. They got me in quick and took care of me.

Truly an art parlor. This is worth the drive from Houston. The quality of artist is superb. I had a piece done by Zach and I will put the work up against anyone in the area. If its art you want this is where to go. And your right, it isnt nyc. Thank goodness.

I got work here before and they were cool I came back for some small stuff and the dude Ian told me 160 to 260 but when I asked if he could meet me at 170 he got offended amd told me to find someone else lol man if u dont have a set price thats room for negotiation.but thats cool Ill take it somewhere else your work online wasnt all that anyway ..hope the prices going up dont affect yall in the future as much as it showed today
