Fantastic shop! We walked in and had a great experience! We didnt have an appointment and everyone from the artists to the counter staff were so kind and its such a fun shop. My daughter is 12 and had a piercing and they put her right at ease and my son and husband got tattoos and they were great! Avery did the tattoos and the art was amazing!

Highly recommend this shop! We were visiting for a bachelorette trip, and talked about getting tattoos. We called the day before, and they were so kind and accommodating! Austin did mine, and turned out perfect. The entire experience was a blast and would love to go again!

Just got two great tattoos from Avery. His attention to detail was better than any artist I have had before. Spent time to make sure my shading was thorough. Would come back again.

My girlfriend and I stopped in to see if anyone would be able to take a walk-in. Forrest had time to give us flash tattoos - we went with the “Get what you get tattoo” machine. Even though it was random, we both loved what we got and Forrest did a great job with customizing them to our likening. Everyone was super nice in the shop; definitely recommend!

Do NOT get ur piercings here. I got my belly button pierced and the actual piercing itself hurt bad because he put it through me super slowly. He kinda seemed like he didn’t know what he was doing. He didn’t give me any aftercare instructions either, I just did what I usually got told for piercings and cleaned twice a day with saline solution for piercings. A few days later I had to take the piercing out because I’ve developed cellulitis, which can turn into a super severe infection such as necrosis. It looks super gross and has been hurting really bad for days due to my skin cells quite literally dying, with puss and blood constantly leaking from the piercing. This could’ve literally been life threatening if I hadn’t had any medical intervention/advice

We got our tattoos, but they didnt turn out quite the way we would have liked. They gave us a piece of paper on the aftercare, and they are both healing differently.I stopped applying lotion because mine was becoming too moist, I thought, but he did it regular like he did for the tattoo he had before, and his is not looking so good. Mine are the last two. I personally think that almost $300 was way overpriced for how they turned out. Mine are the last two

Avery took care of myself, my girlfriend, and mom. They got small, on the wrist tattoos, while I got Excalibur on my shoulder. We walked in around 8pm and were done by 11pm. For beginners, the crew did a great job working with our indecisiveness and lack of knowledge. Thanks guys!

We walked in, Carlos asked what type of tattoos we wanted and scheduled for us to return(same day) at a later time. Once we came back, he showed us our concept/vision and brother hooked us up! Carlos is very patient, we shared funny stories and he went over tattoo after-care with us. He saw some other tattoos that I had and he offered to do some enhancements/touch-ups next time were in town. THIS GUY IS THE REAL DEAL!! Go Holla at ya boy Carlos!

So I went in with little plan and forrest (😘😘) picked up on exactly what I was putting down. He totally worked with me to get exactly what I wanted and was also super fun and funny! Would def recommend and go see forrest he RULES!! (and is also super talented!)

Had a bachelorette trip and they got us in for tattoos. We had a great time there with them, very knowledgeable and welcoming.

They are very fast and seem to care a lot about what they do your ideas and everything. Got a fairly detailed car that is a good size outline and shading took about 3 hours. Very very nice tattoo I recommend going here. Right around $100 an hour oh, thats pretty basic for the valley but definitely worth the service and they are super fast

Tre pierced my daughter’s ears. She turns 7 in 2 days, and was a little nervous, but has been asking for years to do this. Tre was so kind and asked her questions to help distract her. She didn’t cry at all, and is so happy and very excited! The studio was very clean, and everything was professional. I will definitely be going back if/when my other kids want piercings!

Hands down the best place ever. Not only was it a very cool looking place but it also was very welcoming by all the workers. I got my very first tattoo today here and the tattoo artist working on me was such an amazing person. I was a little scared to get my tattoo and he made sure to make me feel more comfortable and talked me through everything to make sure I felt good. He made my first tattoo very memorable and meaningful. Just wish I could remember his name to shout him out because HE WAS AMAZING! Mountain Ink is great. I dont live in Glenwood but have family in Carbondale so have visited the area often. When I was 16 (10 years ago) my parents took me to get my first tattoo there. Great experience then. Visited 5 years ago and got a word added to one of my other pieces. Visited again today and got a watercolor map tattoo from Allen, who also did my first tattoo 10 years ago. Friendly and talented artists, nice clean shop, would definitely recommend.

So basically best place I’ve ever been to, there were 4 of us without an appointment and they took all of us in. (Piercings) Anyways didn’t get a name but all of them were super chill, and super nice. The piercing process was not bad at all, super clean and fast. They also gave my friend a discount and free shirt so that’s fun. Anyways a wonderful place would drive 4+ hours to get another piercing or tattoo here.

Absolutely great! We had a piercing done elsewhere that wasnt what we expected and was painful. Without question or judgment the guys here took it out for us quickly and painlessly. Spotlessly clean, kind and gentle. Will go again without question. Thankyou so much for turning a scary and aPainful experience into an excellent one.

Great experience. Tre was awesome. From the time we walked in until we left it felt so comfortable.Also, dude’s an amazing artist with a great eye. Had a reference photo for what I was looking for and after talking with him he came up with a design that was infinitely better and more to my liking.Will put it this way, we live 11 hours away and will come back here just to see Tre for more.

The first time I got my tragus and daith pierced here I was really happy. The piercer Forest did a great job. My only complaint is the jewelry is not good… I asked for gold and was not told it would be gold plated. 3-4 months later the gold plating is shedding off and causing an infection in my piercing. Before I noticed this, I got my doubles pierced her again. A different guy did them and pierced it too close to where I wanted it so I had to go back to get it repierced. I now like it much more and the piercer handled the situation pretty well all things considered. I do think the jewelry quality is poor though, especially given they only have gold plated options which is not what I wanted.I honestly won’t be going back as I want nicer jewelry. I would trust Forest to pierce my ears again though as I think he did a fine job. Thx!

What a wonderful place! My friends and I came up to glenwood for the weekend and decided to get tatted. They accepted walk-ins and tattooed all 4 of us, in which we all ended up loving! The environment was very friendly and comfortable, and the tattoos healed great! We have discussed driving back up to glenwood again specifically for this tattoo parlor! While the tattoos were AWESOME, it was truly the attitude of the staff and artists that made this visit memorable ❤️

This place is amazing, the staff are incredibly skilled and have a great bedside manner. Tyler was amazing and went above and beyond in helping me fix up my piercing and comforting me with getting my cartilage piercing (as I am very afraid of needles.) Really amazing guy and my piercer was exceptional and talked me through every part of the piercing. I highly recommend this place for any age.

I was super embarrassed and apologetic and a kind gentleman behind me paid for my groceries. He said, I work at Mountain ink tattoo, leave a review and pay it forward. I recently had a girls weekend up in Glenwood with my sisters. We heard that Mountain Ink was the best place up there for tattoos. We called the night before and spoke to Kira. She said it would be no problem. We went in the next evening. We were very pleased with Kira! One artist called in and so she did all five of us on her own. We kept her past closing and it was a long stretch of time for her. She was so positive and eager to do all of them. We ordered pizza and made a night of it and had a great time! Her line work is amazing and to be honest, this is one of the best tattoos I have ever received! I would recommend her to anybody wanting a great piece of ink!

Mountain ink and its artists have been spot on with customer service and even better with their work. I have worked with Nick Harrington for my first tattoo and he has been incredibly helpful as to how to approach getting a tattoo and keeping me informed with my healing process. His work has thoroughly impressed me and his co-worker Jared White is also an extremely impressive artist. I really appreciate the work Nick has done for me and I will guarantee that I will return to him and Mountain Ink for more future tattoos!! Just went here today with my girlfriend. We just got a simple his and her mountain style tattoo nothing major. Our artist was Jared I believe and he was a pretty good dude. Easy to work with and talk to about what we wanted and other things. Shop was clean. I recommend ya try it out.

They are great! I bought an earring that stopped working and they let me get a new one for free and keep the old one. 10/10 recommend!

Gentle did both my tragus and cartilage! Was very fast and clean! I sat there longer filling out paperwork which took more time then the actual piercing! Guy was also very informative about aftercare and how to treat them, would definitely recommend!

Called everywhere in gwood & Tre was the only piercer willing to talk with my 5yr old about getting her ears pierced. He asked her questions to make sure she was ready. He told her exactly what to expect. He was very friendly and professional. Tre made Marley feel comfortable & confident in choosing him to pierce her ears. He drew out the location, confirmed with me and pierced her very quickly & efficiently. She didnt even flinch. She said that didnt even hurt!! Im thrilled that Tre made this experience exciting, fun and memorable for my lil girl. The shop was nice and clean. I highly recommend Tre & Mountain Ink.

Just had the best tattoo experience ever at Mountain Ink. Jared did the most fantastic job of inking my old military units insignia on my forearm, but made it look like its been there for a while. So its a brand new tattoo, but looks perfectly worn and not too bright which is exactly what I wanted. Better than I imagined!The lines are perfect, color is varied and perfect, lettering is spot-on and the price was totally reasonable. All the stars!

I absolutely LOVE Mountain Ink. They have been around for a long time in my valley and have been my #1 choice for any tattoos or piercings. Nick Harrington has recently given me my favorite tattoo to date, and in my opinion is one of the best if not THE most talented artist in the valley. He is very friendly, he is a pleasure to speak to while trying not to flinch and has a warm personality. He has given me the cleanest work i have seen yet, and is still to complete the remainder of my piece. I honestly thought that rib cage tattoos would be more painful, but i have to say that i feel it has a lot to do with the artist and how they treat your skin. Nick did wonderfully. Once my piece is fully completed i will upload photos to their facebook page for all to see and enjoy as much as i do! THANK YOU MOUNTAIN INK

I went down to Mountain Ink Tattoo for a nose piercing and was welcomed in with a friendly attitude by Bob. Overall Ill have to say this is the best place to get a piercing and/or tattoo in the valley and would easily recommend it to others!

I had been trying to get my first tattoo for quite some time and had checked out several places with no promising first impressions. Came to Glenwood Springs with my mom this weekend and read about Mountain Ink on a spontaneous search for tattoo shops. Went in and spoke to Kira, said she could have it drawn out and on my body that night. There is no one else I would have been more comfortable with for my first tattoo! Her line work was beautiful, drawing was very precise, and my tattoo turned out absolutely perfect! She is who to go to for some guaranteed wonderful ink!

DO NOT GET A TATTOO HEREIts taken me some time to review. But I cannot stress enough to avoid this place like the plague. I got a simple tattoo around this time last year and its honestly one of the ugliest things on my body. Its so poorly done. Poor, uneven lines. I even went into a different artist to try to fix some of the lines and he made it worse. Ill be stuck with this tattoo forever and now have to invest someday in either a removal or cover up. So disappointing. My tattoo was such a simple outline and TWO of the artists there were unable to do it even close to good.If you value your body at all, dont go here. I bought into the positive reviews online, and I can guarantee they are either false, or the people with the tattoos dont know what a good tattoo looks like. To describe their art as mediocre would be too much a compliment. Go to Denver or any larger city and find a tattoo professional to do the work. Extra and money and time is a small price to pay for something thats permanent.Ive gotten piercings here though. Theyve done a lovely job with them. Although its a bit ironic that a tattoo shop could do anything but tattoos.

Went in to set up an appointment for a dermal and nose piercing. It was for 11:15 this morning. We arrived at about 11. 1130 rolls around and hes still not there. 1150 and he texts another worker and said hes on his way. 25 minutes later he still doesnt show. We all run late, but not an hour for an appointment. No phone call, no nothing. Very unprofessional. We left disappointed, and they lost $120 plus a tip.

My buddy and I went in at 8 for a walk in and they made it happen for both us that night. They even stayed late and showed us the upmost hospitality. Avery and Trey were super great.

We accomplished spontaneous matching tattoos on a trip here. But the service was terrible, the facilities were questionable, if you can go to another place I would recommend it. But this is one of the few places that takes walk-ins and if it’s a simple small tattoo they can get the job done.

The place is absolutely amazing, i definitely recommend this place for tattoos and piercings. When I went to get gauges they bumped it up from a 10 gauge to a 6 gauge. I dont want to complain. My gauges are sick. I wish I didnt go up so high. Still great tho!

Worst customer service EVER! First, The lady that attended us doesnt work there and was giving us attitude the whole time we were there. We felt like we were being rushed or not wanted there because her husband, the one who did my sisters piercing, was going to tattoo her. Second, the piercer didnt acknowledge us and didnt introduce himself, and charged us more than what he originally said.I highly DONT recommend this place for ANY type of services they offer.

Jarad was amazing!!! While visiting Colorado 6 of us went in and all got tattooed by him. I liked mine so much, I went back two days later and got another one before flying home. Can’t wait to go back for more!!

Very unprofessional. The guy who was piercing was very rude and stubborn. He pierced my tongue wrong , and had to repierce it. He never told me when was going to do it, he didnt tell me to a take a deep breath or anything. He just did it. My friend got his tongue pierced the same day and the bar was way to small. He ended up taking it out. He didnt mention any aftercare, and when we asked he said thats a piercing that heals on its own and to not worry about it. My other friend got her nose done and he pierced it super thick and with a hoop. And she clearly said she didnt want a hoop.

I called the day before and made reservations for 6pm the following day. A few hours before our appointment i get a call from the lady whom our reservation was with. She said she doesn’t stay as late as 6 and someone had booked us on accident. I was trying to work with her and figure out a way to make it work and she got extremely rude and hung up on us. I ended up canceling my appointment, obviously. Save yourself the time and DON’T bother with this place. Horrible service and rude artists.

Owner says super nice about a last minute walk in for my friend and ensured that her tattoo in a foreign language was going to be correct even as she explained the meaning. Was very informative as to the needle he was using and open to answering questions about piercings, metals, post-care for the tattoo, etc.Super talkative though so if conversation aint your thing~

I have had 2 out of my 4 tattoos done at Mountain Ink and Im usually so happy with the art. Except the last time I went. I brought in a personal design and after he ordered a pizza and tried to draw up a sketch. 15 minutes later he told me he wasnt capable of making it into a stencil he proposed a different sketch. I believed that perhaps it was a design he had drawn himself only later did I discover that it was printed off of google. Ill admit Im not the easiest to tattoo however I have never before been scarred from a tattoo. Also before I left the artist made a lewd comment which made me incredibly uncomfortable and was equally as unprofessional! I am so disappointed by this experience I will not go back and didnt even let them finish the tattoo.

Was going there for last 6 yrs until I meet Chad. Who quoted me a price for a few tats (cuz he doesnt charge by the hour) didnt finish the tats and then asked for hundreds $ more to finish them. I asked him to explain why more $, and he told me to find a new tattoo shop...nice way to treat someone after they spent over $1,000.

Came in the other day ready to spend money. The guy running the place was busy, which was understandable, but in his short interaction with me made it painfully obvious he wasnt at all interested in my business and made no attempt to get me to come back. He was very short with me, seemed annoyed, and just wanted to give me a business card and get me out the door.

Jared gave me my first tatoo of Dr Whos Tardis. I love it. Nick tatooed The Dr,s robot dog, K9 and the Dr, played by Tom Baker, his really, really long scarf. I get compliments every time I run errands and its been a month.I definitely will be back for more and let people know where I get my tatoos. Thanks Mountain Ink.

I found out after getting just a basic lobe piercing that the other place in town only charges $20 per ear while this place charges $60 per ear for the same exact thing I feel like I got ripped off and am super disappointed.

Fantastic customer service , one mom and 5 high school grads from Georgia , made our way into Mountain ink and Jason and his brother worked all six of us in, my sons love their tats , and their friends love theirs and this Momma lives her Memorial tattoo , I got purple lavender ribbon for Ovarian cancer and my Moms favorite flower yellow Rose with Moms initials, hasnt had a Tat in 35 yrs ..lol great work , real artists work here

Sign on the door stated Jared was out for lunch. Fair enough. Except it didnt state when hed be back (all it said was soon) or when he left. I waited for 2 hours and still the shop remained closed. The shop says its open from 11am - 9pm, which is ridiculous when the only worker there takes a 2hr+ lunch. I will never be back here again.

Great professional atmosphere with wonderful artists with out standings customer service, very knowledgeable on post tattoo healing and amazing prices. If your in the market check them out, you wont be disappointed.

Jared and his daughter and his other ink man rock with their tattoos. They did a great cover up and an addition to an older tattoo rebuild addition.

Had a great experience the one time I got in the door but cant ever seem to reach anyone now and anytime I go by they are locked up so I honestly thought they had gone out of business

The guy who pierced my septum was kinda a jerk and did NOT explain how to clean the piercing. It was a super quick process to get the piercing.

They often close up shop at strange times, leaving a cryptic note on the door, and not even being back by when the note says. So after 3 tries this week, I still cant get in.

The schedule said we closed at 9 on weekdays, I went at 8 and closed, we traveled an hour because it was the studio that would be open. They should respect schedules!
