Sam is very professional and the environment is clean and comfortable. I will be going back to him for future pieces. He’s thorough with his work and seems like a really nice guy to work with. He’s good at what he does and you will leave his shop with some beautiful art.

Sam was able to detail my current tattoo and seamlessly add additional details and colors. I am so pleased with the result. The shop is spotless and Sam spent time with me to make sure he knew what I wanted. His experience and professionalism are impressive. I would definitely recommend him to anyone wanting an artist to do a tattoo.

Ive been wanting a good quality artist to do a corpse bride portrait for me for years now and was very happy to work with Sam. I definitely made the right choice! I was looking for a place in town to get greywash realistic floral added on to a portrait on my forearm. After researching different artists in town I wanted Sam to do my tattoo. Im so glad I came here. He took my idea and brought it to life on my arm. He was able to do certain little things with the tattoo that really made it add on to the piece I already have instead of just slapping something down next to it. Very clean shop, easy to schedule, and made me feel comfortable during the whole process. I will be seeing him again to finish my half sleeve and he will definitely be my go to artist in Grand Forks.

IMO, Blaq Taffy is THE go-to tattoo shop in Grand Forks. My first trip into the shop was for a piece that would cover up an old tattoo and incorporate art for my son and youngest daughter. Sam was able to come up with the perfect piece for the cover. After this portion was completed, I thought I would go ahead and turn it into a half sleeve, again, he came through with some great ideas and flawless execution. You wont regret booking with Blaq Taffy!

Sam has done my last few tattoos, I wont go anywhere else now! Love his work. Clean shop, sticks to his quoted prices, good guy all around.

We called ahead of time to see if they had space for 3 walk ins, as we live an hour away. We called 3 hours ahead of time and when we got there, they said they weren’t taking any more walk ins. Waste of a trip!
