This was my first time getting a tattoo. My niece and I went and were both tattooed by Jodie. She did an incredible job on both tattoos. She made sure we were happy with size, location, shading, etc and was extremely patient and helpful in the process. In fact the entire staff was really pleasant and fun to be around. The artwork on the walls is incredible too!

I went to Rorschach a few weeks ago for the first time. It is so clean and everyone there is very friendly. Jason did my latest two tattoos and they came out amazing! He took my word vomit description, along with a bunch of screenshots, and made it come to life so beautifully! They both came out better than I had imagined them in my head. He did great work and was super chill. Victoria was an amazing piercer. After having a bad piercing experience and having to take my jewelry out, she created a plan with me to re-pierce them. She went at a pace I was comfortable with and was extremely understanding. I will always go to her for future piercings and 100% recommend her for people’s first time piercings or in general.

We loved our experience working with Jodi!I brought my 16 y/o daughter for her first tattoo. I liked that the Gallerys policy is to have a consultation first, because she is under 18. Jodi discussed the designs and made sure this is what my daughter wanted. We made appointments for her, my cousin, and myself and were very pleased with the end results. Jodi is sweet, easy-going, and fun to work with! Crystal (Jodis assistant) is also great!I will be going back for a mandala arm sleeve in the future.Pictured below are my daughters Sagittarius-inspired and my phases of the moon tattoos.

The experience I had a Rorschach Gallery 2.0 was by far the best Ive had getting a tattoo. The artist and staff were friendly and professional. I worked with Jessi and she took the idea that I came in with and made changes to make it exactly what I wanted. I will definitely be going back to them in the future!

Recommend Jodi a million times over!! So sweet, so precise, so prepared, and SO quick. I expected this project to be an hour long but I was in and out in under 30 minutes with NO regrets. She talks things out with you and makes sure youre comfortable and gets the job done VERY WELL. Definitely want to come back to Jodi! Also, the shop in general is cleaner and more organized than most in the area. Bravo.

I got my tattoo with Jodi and she did an amazing job. It took 3 sessions to do a half sleeve on my leg and she was so nice and cool throughout the whole process. Im so pleased with the final results and have been getting a ton of compliments from everyone I know. If I ever decide to do the rest of the leg, Im definitely coming back to see Jodi again.

I have been going to rorscach ever since they first opened their original location in edison. Everyone is so friendly. Both owners Dan and Brian are amazing and have done such a wonderful job insuring not only that each shop is clean and professional, but also that the atmosphere is so chill and comfortable. Dan did is the one working on my tattoo this time around. He is kind, caring, and fun to talk to and checks in with you throughout the session to make sure you are comfortable. Even though i moved out of state, i definitely have no problem making the trip back to get work done by him. Will always recommend this shop. Ok, I don’t really know why I decided to get tattoos at 55, but I am so happy I did. On top of being old I’m also life long mental patient. I never expected this experience being so therapeutic, I finally fired my therapist, seriously, if I’m anxious or up or down, all I have to do is to go to the Gallery and i feel better. And let me tell you, Jay is the best person and artist I’ve ever seen. I got so lucky, to be his customer. And the place itself and everyone who works there, I think the happiest bunch ever, it’s contagious. So let’s recap. Best tattoo gallery, best tattoo artist, amazing customer service. As I indicated 5 stars every single thing. I swear I’m not getting paid for this. It is truly the happiest place on earth, at least for me. Don’t hesitate go and get a tattoo, the best thing ever. Oh, buy the way, it was my first experience, but I have a girlfriend that has. 30 of them. So kind of expert by association. This is it. Sorry for going long. I just love that place and everyone in it.

Jaiden just did my tattoo about 1 month ago and it has healed great! I had no problems at all! This was my second tattoo done by her and when she did my first one she did a pass with the tattoo gun to make sure I would be okay with it which was so so sweet! Jay Havoc did a great job on a number of levels. I had a rough idea of a design and working with me, he pulled out what I really wanted. With that information, he created a design that was spot on, pulling together all the things I wanted into the perfect design. Jay nailed it and Im super happy with the result. This was going to be our first tatoo so we did lot of research. Our friends suggested this place. Based on our tatoo requirements the place suggested we go with Artist Yanni. It was a great suggestion. Yanni made our Tatoo experience pleasant. He worked with us on the design and was very flexible around what we were looking for. He ensured he took care of the finer details and it clearly shows in the outcome. Overall great experience and we would recommend this place and Yanni. Looking forward to more tattoos with Yanni.

First tattoo ever, and its amazing! Jay Havoc is a talented, thoughtful, and highly skilled artist. His black and grey portrait of my all black German Shepherd is identical to my dog. I waited until I was 41 years old to get my first tattoo because the timing, artist, and setting had to be just right, and this place is legit. The studio is clean, well managed, and run by some of the best tattoo artists in the state. Cudos to Brian and Danny for operating a wonderful shop. And Havoc, I will be back for more ink. I just love this place. I recently got a conch piercing by Alex (which is healing beautifully) and he was just the sweetest. It was quick but he made sure I understood everything and liked where the location of my piercing was going. He also reassured me to call him with any concerns, or questions I had. I also got two more tattoos by Brian (my 4th and 5th ones by him). I love everything I get done from these guys. My boyfriend goes to Dan for years now (loves him) and anytime someone wants to get a tattoo I ALWAYS tell them to go to Rorschach. I had a situation with a tattoo years ago and Brian took me under his wing basically and completely fixed it. My dad has even got a tattoo from Brian! (first tat at 66yrs old) I have sensitive skin and not the best pain tolerance, but he takes care of me to where I almost fell asleep once while getting my ribs done! I wouldnt go anywhere else for a tattoo OR a piercing.

I called the Rorschach Gallery to make an appointment and the woman who answered the phone was very polite. She gave me an appointment to come in for a consultation with one of the artists. My consultation was with the artist, Hoagie. I spoke to him and showed him what I wanted, and he said he would be in touch via email to show me sketches of my idea, and we made an appointment to have the tattoo done. A deposit of $80 is required up front. Hoagie emailed me within a few days with some sketches and we came up with the perfect design. Tattoo day came and the atmosphere of the shop was very relaxed yet upbeat. The shop is SUPER CLEAN-One of the cleanest shops Ive ever been in. All equipment was clean, and sterile.The actual tattoo experience was hands-down the BEST experience Ive ever had in a shop. ALL of the artists in the shop were SO kind, funny, and genuine. Hoagie made sure I was comfortable, and relaxed. Im not going to say the process was pain free (its a tattoo. Lol) but I didnt feel nearly as much pain as I have with my other tattoos from other shops. The entire process took about 3.5-4 hrs. We took a break midway. Heres some photos I took during my tattoo process. Hoagie really did an EXCELLENT job. My tattoo is exactly what I wanted. It is also my most beautiful tattoo. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND the Rorschach Gallery Hillsborough, and Hoagie. You wont be disappointed.

This studio is amazing, so clean and professional! There’s so much room you don’t feel like on top of anyone else, the chairs are also super comfy. I always feel so welcomed and comfortable there. Crystal at the front desk is such a sweet angel. She’s always got a smile on her face. Everyone is super friendly and non judgmental. My artist is Jaiden, I’ve been with her since her apprenticeship and followed her to this studio. She is absolutely amazing. Her line work is perfection. She’s so gentle and kind. We have literally the best time when I come get tattooed. Almost every thing on my body is by Jaiden and I love every single piece. My most recent tattoo was a rather large one but she did her thing!! She’s is absolute perfection. I have been coming here for 4 years now, I have gotten my nose, ears, and belly button pierced with them, and I have had an exceptional experience with every single one! Very clean and sanitary, and a beautiful jewelry section. I had also gotten my first tattoo done here. The artwork came out beautifully and the healing process was perfect! I was super nervous but the staff did a wonderful job easing some nerves. 10/10 would recommend !

I have been trying to find a new tattoo shop for years, it was a breath of fresh air to find Rorschach! Not only was this one of the first shops I have ever walked in that actually had a professional air to it but the vibe was chill and not hectic. The artist were on point and not constantly stepping away form you when you were there to get work done.

Just got my first tattoo here! Traveled from WV to get matching tattoos with my best friend and they turned out PERFECTLY. Jodi was our tattoo artist and she was beyond patient, friendly, and nice during the entire experience. Our choice had very fine lines, printing, and details. She nailed it! Looks beautiful!

Recently had a half sleeve done to cover up 3 older tattoos. After being told by other tattoo shops that it was impossible due to the colors in them, I visited Rorschach and with extreme confidence I was told IT CAN BE DONE. I made an appointment with Marcel for consultation and expressed what I was looking for. Marcel drew up a rendering and before you know it I was on my way to the greatest tattoo ever. The Hillsborough location is clean, friendly and classy. I made made many new friends there. If anyone thinks tattoo artists are uneducated people and can’t work a regular job, they are seriously mistaken. The talent here is unbelievable and have had training or schooling in art. Also, you can have an intelligent conversation. I had the opportunity to listen to some conversations and trust me they were inspirational, educational and intellectual. One person sticks to my mind and that’s Danny (He has a band) and is well versed in the ongoing of life from everyday things to politics. I even had the opportunity to watch him guide a newer artist. This place is a class act and I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a tattoo.

And my experience with them were immaculate. And they’d recommend an artist that’ll benefit your experience if you’re looking for a certain style as well. SO...I already had a nostril piercing on the right side and I wanted to get one on my left side. I called and was able to get an appointment the same day which was convenient. The staff is so friendly and the shop is so clean, organized, and inviting. Brie was my piercer and was totally amazing!!! I was super picky with the placement of the piercing because I wanted it to be symmetrical to my existing one and Brie was really patient and was able to give me exactly what I wanted! Thank you!!!

Walked in with two friends on a Tuesday night, and Jessi was able to fit us in. She was patient, listened to our thoughts, stayed late to finish with us, and came up with a fantastic design we loved. The tattoo looks absolutely amazing, and was significantly less painful than other tattoos I have received despite being in a sensitive spot. The shop is brand new and immaculate. I will never go anywhere else for a tattoo or piercing!!

Just got my septum pierced with Charli literally like 20 minutes ago, she’s absolutely awesome. Clean shop, friendly people. So, 2022 was stolen from me by cancer. I spent the entire year undergoing chemo followed by immunotherapy. I’m still not right, but fortunately, I conquered cancer. I came to Rorschach Gallery having no tattoos and no experience in tattoos at all. I had an idea and Yanni took my idea and created this badass tattoo. I decided to put it on my left side from my hip to my shoulder. A hand grasping a sword that says Cancer Conqueror. On the hand guard it says Strength and Courage. It was tough, but Yanni gave me accurate timeframes and breaks when I needed them. It is beautiful, my first and quite possibly my only tattoo. I could not be happier with the results and it healed up wonderfully, no issues whatsoever. I highly recommend Yanni and Rorschach for next awesome tattoo!

Jodi did my very first tattoo here a couple of weeks ago and it could not have gone more perfectly. She was patient with all of my questions and with all of my stencil readjustments! She put all my concerns at ease and gave me exactly what I wanted- a tattoo that reminds me of who I am every day. I would recommend this place to anyone!

Jodi at Rorschach tattoos is an amazing artist. Her work is amazing and very detailed! I would highly recommend her!! Everyone there is amazing and very awesome people!! The number one tattoo place in the USA 100 percent!

First time to Rorschach, went to the 2.0, and couldnt be happier. I was with Hoagie, who drew up my ideas better than I could explain and worked with me throughout. He was fantastic and Im so happy with it! Its perfect! Would definitely go back and recommend anyone. The other artists seemed to be doing great work too from what I could see!

Ive been pierced by Aly several times and she always does a really awesome job. Shes super friendly and definitely knows what shes doing! The shop is really nice as well. Very clean and artistic!

I got my double helix pierced by Aly and it’s healing flawlessly! Great piercer. She made sure I was comfortable and talked me through the whole process. I’m definitely going to come here from now on :)

Came to get my first tattoo here 6hrs with artist Carol Jacky and yes i was nervous but Carol put me at ease and the whole vibe and environment of Rorschach Studio in Hillsborough was amazing!! I couldn’t have asked for a better experience..so much so i booked another appt with Carol the minute she was done with my new ink!! There are so many amazing artists in both Edison and Hillsborough locations all you have to do is check their IG or Facebook to see what styles of artists you want . Ive received so many compliments already i can’t wait to come back Feb 26th to continue..Im hooked!! Thanks Carol!!

My 7 year old wanted her ears pierced she is a brute so I wanted to get her ears professionally done and never have to worry if she’d ever lose earrings, BRIE IS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING she calmed my daughter while she was crying, she took the time to let my daughter calm down to pierce the other ear! I mean I have not one bad thing to say on the piercing side of the house!

Dont waste your time going anywhere else....just make an appointment here. You wont be disappointed. I have only been tattooed by one artists, Marcel, and he is the man! But from what I can tell by the other work Ive seen , everyone else is really good. I got my entire sleeve done there and I wouldnt have had it any other way.

Got my ears pierced by Aly. She was Super professional, knowledgeable, and very personable. She was also very patient with all my questions and concerns and gave detailed answers. She cares a lot and it shows. It was an amazing experience and I would recommend her to anyone. 10/10!

A few years ago I was tattooed by Dennis at the Edison location. I recently traveled to the new Hillsborough studio to be tattooed by apprentice Jodi. The place looks amazing, everyone is super chill and Jodi is on her way to being one hell of a tattoo artist!

Had a great experience with Ally. She did an ear piercing for my daughter. Ally made the whole experience fun and easy! Super knowledgeable about piercing placement and gave great perspective for future piercings.

I could not be happier with my experience at Rorschach Hillsborough. Jodi OBrien (@jodiobrienx) took an illustration I sent from my favorite childhood book and really did it justice. Jodis pointillism style is why I chose her and I was not disappointed. I was a little nervous since my last tattoo was in 1991, but she has a very calming manner and put me at ease right away. It hurt way less than I remembered, and she was very patient with placement and a few minor changes I wanted. She had a few suggestions which were perfect. Trust your artist! Overall the atmosphere at the studio was friendly and great, everybody came over to see what she was doing and it felt like I was among friends. Recently reopened after lockdown, Rorschach is spotless, they asked me to wait in the car until Jodi was ready for me, did a quick screening with sanitizing procedures and almost all the paperwork was online. Masks and gloves in full force. Highly highly recommend Rorschach - especially Jodi!
