I am so grateful to have found this shop. I enjoy the environment, the staff are so funny and sweet. I’ve gotten a few pieces with Greysha, Every time I leave I am ready to come back for new ink with her. I have also gotten a flash piece from Marina ☺️. Lillian is always so funny and a delight to talk to. I Brought my cousin a few weeks ago for her first tattoo, she left with an awesome tattoo and a new plant 😂. I love recommending this shop to people, I get lots of compliments on all the tattoos I’ve gotten from them.

I cannot overstate how good my experience here was! I felt welcome, everyone was so fun and professional, and my tattoo was done quickly and masterfully. I was able to do a walk-in for a small piece that required a lot of black ink packing in. My skin feels great, not at all chewed up, and the conversation during the tattoo was wonderful. Definitely my new go-to spot for tattoos! My artist also touched up an older tattoo I had in the same area that was a bit faded, and it looks so nice and fresh now. They also have tons of great anime stickers a for sale at the front, so if you’re a sticker fanatic like me you’ll love it. 10/10 definitely go here for your tattoos!!

Met with Lillian for my second piece by her last month. Two years after my first visit, she remembered me and took just as much time to go over my idea with me as she did with the first. After a great consultation, where she went over pros/cons of the placement and how the tattoo would age, we agreed on some small changes and I got booked for last weekend. We had some great communication about the piece in the week leading up to the appointment, and I was thrilled with the sketch.Day of, she was welcoming and accommodating. There was some good conversation while she worked, and she finished up quicker than expected and under the estimated price. The piece turned out great, and I could not be happier!Ill definitely be coming back for a round 3/4/5 to finish up a sleeve.(Photo is still healing, will update with a healed shot when its done)

I’ve gotten two flash tattoos from Lillian and they are beautiful, heal well, and I had a great time while getting them! Very professional but personable staff and great prices!

Lillian is the best tattoo artist ive experienced. Amazing cover ups, original art , and replication or art of my own. Very versatile artist.Update: no updates needed... shes still the best 🥰 her tots are amazing too. Extremely skilled mentor and her students are so lucky to have such a generous and skilled teacher. Shows in their work as well. Also the tattoos Ive recieved look as good as the day i got them. Timeless work.

This is a wonderful tattoo shop tucked away in Hillsborough. It is a new place, but run by an experienced artist. Lillian did my expansion/partial cover up and it turned out extremely well. She was easy to communicate with and understood the vision I had.The shop is heavy on the anime and nerd culture as you would expect, but I love it. Its a welcome change, especially for people who want tattoos but dont want to go to a typical shop with biker dudes and flaming skulls everywhere.High chance Ill return for subsequent tattoos here (you get a frequent flyer card, where you get discounts on subsequent tattoos!). The stickers and magnets are super cute too.

I recently got my first tattoo at this location, they were very helpful and accommodating to my needs. At the end of the appointment everything went perfect and the tattoo looks amazing!

I found this place on whim. My boyfriend promised me a tattoo for my birthday and this place magically appeared as an ad on my Instagram. They had an awesome anime flash sheet deal so I couldn’t say no. My boyfriend and I booked an appointment together and they were very friendly, communicative, and professional. I’m currently STILL sitting at our appointment still and it has been a joy every second. My tattoo turned out amazingggg and my boyfriend’s tattoo is currently looking perfect as well. Lillian is our artist and she’s been awesome to talk to and provided so much insight on proper tattoo work and sanitation. I also spoke to Greysha while waiting and she was super friendly and showed me the awesome tattoos she had just finished.I’ve had bad to mid experiences at other shops (I’ve had male artists and they didn’t take me seriously), so this shop being all women is awesome for a safe space but they also don’t make that as an excuse to treat their male clients poorly.I will definitely be coming back!!! ❤️

Had a great experience getting tattooed here. The shop is welcoming and they’ve done a lot of work to ensure a soothing atmosphere. Marina got exactly what I wanted out of the design, Lillian got me a sweet tea, the tattoo was as comfortable as it could possibly be. Please see these wonderful women for your next tattoo.

I absolutely love my tattoo done by Lillian. She fixed my stars that I originally wanted covered but she made look better and did my horoscope constellation and dogs name that passed away earlier this month. I highly recommend her. Will be back for more tattoos.

I had a great time here!! I came in for an apprentice tattoo with Salem and am super pleased with my new ink. Everyone was so lovely, definitely the right place if you are a little nerdy. Cant wait to come back!

I had high hopes for this studio but unfortunately one of their newer artists, Marina, left me beyond disappointed. When I walked in, she handed me a drawing she had made of my tattoo. I was confused because it didn’t look like the reference pics i gave her. We needed to make quite a few adjustments to her design to make it what I had originally asked for (which she was being oddly stubborn about), so she had to confess to me that although I had an appointment I paid an $105 deposit for, she had only set aside 1.5 hr before her next client’s appointment, which would never have been enough time for the tattoo I had sent her pictures of. she told me she is keeping the deposit I had paid for, i would have to pay ANOTHER deposit to reschedule our time (although this was a result of her own poor planning), and she wanted me to pay a charge for adjusting her shoddy design that I had never agreed to. That’s when I walked out. I can’t speak for the other artists working there, but i feel totally scammed and disrespected by Marina.

I love this shop so much. The vibe is so homey and warm, full of color and hanging plants.Ive only had one of the artists do work - Lillian / Honey Badger, and shes so good. I trust that she only has great artists working in her shop, and therefore Id trust any of her other artists, too.

I had such a great experience at the shop that I decided to go back for another tattoo. I can’t say enough nice things about all the artist there. They are super welcoming and friendly and really make you feel comfortable when walking through the door. So happy to have found this gem of a place!!

This is my favorite tattoo studio! They make you feel so welcome and at ease from the moment you enter the studio. Ive had multiple tattoos done by Greysha and they all came out amazing and the cleanest line work. I love all the events they hold and the decor is amazing. They have the whole place covered in house plants and theres always something fun to look at and helps when needing to focus on something while getting tatted.

Absolutely amazing place to go. Ive gotten my last two tattoos done here and coming back for my third really soon.. Its not your normal male grungy shop. Its very welcoming. If youre in the mood for a down to earth experience with great artist this is definitely the place for you..

Had my first experience this past week with Greysha. There were two designs from the Friday the 13th event (wish I’d shown up earlier, but c’est la vie) that I really loved and she did both beautifully. My partner also had some small work done, and is going back for a larger cover up with Lillian. The freehand design she did was mind blowing!Overall the best experience I’ve had in a shop, everyone was so kind! Lillian even offered me tea while I waited for my partner to finish up. Also all the plants were such a beautiful touch, can’t wait to go back for more work. Truly cannot recommend these artists enough.

We went in to get the flash tattoos on Friday the 13th, and I had asked the business owner initially if we can just come between the times listed for the flash no appt, and they replied with “yep”. We come at 7pm while waiting on our friends from out of town we were told at the door we “should have had an appt” and the people said they’d been there since 11AM. Confused and disappointed we left. Please make it known that these events are not first come first serve but actually by appointment only. Unless the people at the door lied to us so they could be priority. Who knows. 🤦🏻‍♀️Edit: This was in 2022 not 2024. I also added a receipt image from 2 years ago in May from instagram, several people had waited since early morning, and were turned away. Maybe get your facts and advertisements straight before ripping people a new one.

This was the best experience I’ve had with getting tattoos. All of the staff were friendly and welcoming as soon as I walked through the door. I was tattooed by Greysha and the tattoo looks great! I picked a design from the Pokémon flash sheets and the process was made very easy. I will definitely be back again!

Been going to Lillian for years. She is always respectful and creates a really safe environment. Love the shop and all the staff..she does brilliant work. Glad to see her successful in her own shop!

I met Lillian in Hampton VA when she tattooed my wife. Loved her work so much we have gone back repeatedly, driving 3 hours from Hampton VA to NC, and even asking her to do our sons first tattoo. She is laid back, honest, and a complete professional, plus she holds a great conversation! I am currently planning my next tattoo with her, which will cover my chest and shoulder. I highly recommend!!!! If youre close, thats where you want to go. If youre far, Id travel 3 and a half hours for a tattoo... Again!

Lillian is an exceptional artist with a fine eye for detail and a creative mindset. She’s so kind, fun, and thoughtful and takes care to ensure you leave with a great tattoo. I have gotten several tattoos from Lillian she is the only artist I will go to! Ive been looking to getting a cover up for about 17+ years now and it took me a long time to come with ideas and go for it. I told Lillian what I wanted or moreso told her ideas and she came up with a drawing that exceeded my expectations! She is an artist that truly listens to her clients and makes sure they are happy throughout the entire process. She made me feel relaxed and in safe hands... even when she left VA to NC I made the drive to see her for my next tattoo bc shes just that good!! Not to mention shes so relatable, professional, and funny!We love her so much my 21 yr old son got his 1st tattoo with her bc I only trust her! My family will definitely be getting more ink from from Lillian at Inkognito!

I waited in line for two hours for a flash event on Friday the 13th. The event was scheduled to start at 9 a.m. but I was told tattooing didn’t begin until 10. An hour later, they sent everyone about their days and said they would call us back when it was our turn. I got a call at 8 p.m. asking if I could come back. At this point I wasn’t able to, so I asked if I could reschedule (something we were told would be an option when we left the shop). The person on the phone said they didn’t have the artists’ schedules so they’d mark me down to be called back. I never got called back.I totally understand that this may have been a new venture for the shop, but the lack of timely communication was beyond frustrating.

Since my first tattoo with Ashley I’ve been in love with her work! She’s super talented and I always have fun during my tattoo appointments!

They made my first tattoo such an amazing experience! I dm’d them on instagram and they were very kind and walked me through the whole process and they were both so sweet and encouraging in the shop. This was a very sentimental piece and it’s looks amazing and healed perfectly. I’ll definitely be back for more!

I got tattooed by Lillian’s apprentice Greysha! Greysha did an amazing job. The shop has a lovely vibe and a super relaxing atmosphere, everything was clean and professional and all the staff were super warm and welcoming. I’m definitely going to go back and get tattooed by Greysha again.

I highly recommend Inkognito Tattoo. Lillian did an outstanding job covering up an old tattoo of mine. The entire experience from the original drawing to the actual tattoo process was excellent. I will continue to use Inkognito for all my tattoos moving forward as well as refer everyone I know.

A cool tattoo parlor that can do Asian styled tattoos very well as well as other styles. Everyone is super friendly and I felt super comfortable the whole time.
