Joann does fantastic line and color work. She’s done two large cover-ups and a full color sleeve for me and I wouldn’t go anywhere else.

Both myself and my girls have tattoos from here, and we love them. The people are extremely talented, good listeners and super friendly. Its been a Rite of Passage at the age of 17 to get your first meaningful tattoo, that they wont regret for years to come. I recommend them to anyone, and assure you you wont be disappointed.

Walked in on a last minute decision to pierce my nostril and Joann took me immediately! She did a great job! She was super cool, super easy to talk to, and even gave me advice on a tattoo I have by another artist that I’m not happy with. She made me feel really comfortable right away and her space is super cute and clean! I liked her so much, I’ll be back to see her in a couple of months to fix up that tattoo!

Have a group of friends that got tattoos like this altogether all at one time somewhere else. But after having to sit through several tattoo removal sessions I said there is no one I trust more than Joann and I’m gonna wait as much as I love everyone in my group. I trust Joann implicitly and I am so glad I did. I am so glad I waited because my tattoo turned out gorgeous. There is no place else I will go and no one I trust more to put permanent art on my body.

I got my first tattoo today and I could not be happier with my experience. The owner Joann and her husband were so nice and accommodating, they made me feel so comfortable and eased my nerves. Rich was the one who did my tattoo and it turned out great. He was very patient with me being so nervous and did a wonderful job with minimal pain. I thought it would hurt so much worse than it actually did, so if you’re going for your first tattoo definitely go for it! I highly recommend this studio, very clean and professional. I will be coming back for another tattoo soon!

My friends and I walked in for some birthday tattoos and the whole staff was great! Joanne, Rocky and Rich & were fabulous!Rich personally did my my tattoo and blew my mind! His shading was amazing on the piece he did on me! He was very gentle and easy to work with! Answered any questions I had!I will definitely will be back!!!

This place has quickly become my favorite. Ive been getting ink here off and on for years but the new owner Joann has taken it to a new level! She does incredible line work and has Extremely high standards. She listens to your input an offers thoughtful suggestions when designing your tattoo. She is not one to just print something off of the interwebs and put it on your body!I recently hosted an event in her shop and it was absolutely perfect. She took care of a dozen ladies getting tattoos - some for the first time ever, & everybody was delighted. I cannot say enough good things about this place. Highly, highly recommend.

I got my tat done by Igor and was super impressed. Actually cried in the car cause I was so happy and wanted this piece forever. He made my dream come alive. Also I recently had Igor make me a piece from his eye. I gave him free range and it turned out so fricken amazing! Both artists are super cool. Britt seems to be an excellent artist as well. The price is right for the art you get, trust me. I would recommend this place to anyone wanting their first tat, new one or a good touch up.

Had a great experience at Metro Studios Ink getting my daughters ears pierced. I love that they had a video on their facebook page of a child getting her ears pierced, it really helped my daughter know what to expect and feel less nervous. She did great and she (and I) love the results.

Husband and I were out on our first date night in nearly a year and decided last minute on matching tattoos. Joann and Rocky were super helpful and accommodating while we figured out exactly what we wanted. Joann explained everything and was very calm to my nervous energy. Sean was able to fit myself, my mom, and my daughter in for matching tattoos. He did such an amazing job! Had a light hand and was able to do it delicate like we had wanted. I had planned on just getting that tattoo and then adding a half sleeve to it later on, but he did such a great job that i will be traveling from Kentucky back to him for the rest of the sleeve as well as any other future tattoos.

Saw Joann and Jeremy today for a nose piercing and lobe piercing. They were amazing, super personable, and made sure my daughter and I were comfortable. Highly recommend!

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!! Best experience ever. Joann is an amazing artist and person. I first seen her work at the Cleveland tattoo convention so I had to add her on facebook to see more of her work and I absolutely loved it. Ive had a ton of different artists tattoo on me and she is the first on to make me feel completely comfortable and welcomed. She has done my permanent eye liner which is so awesome and Ive had her work on filling in my sleeve which I absolutely love. I live about 3 hrs away in Ohio and I most definitely will be making the trip to Michigan for her to tat on me a lot more! Also the city i live in has a few good tattoo artists but I would rather drive 3 hrs for her than go to my own town because she made me feel so welcome and made my husband feel welcome as well and the Best part is she does Amazing work!!! Im already searching and planning my next tattoos i would like her to do. I HIGHLY recommend Joann!!!!!!! The shop was also clean and I love the set up and the other artist that was there at the time was polite and made me feel welcome as well! Thank you so much Joann for such an amazing experience and such amazing work!!!!

Best piercing experience yet! Joanne came in on her day off and pierced both mine and my husbands ears. She was super enjoyable to be around and very informative. 10/10 would reccomend getting pierced here. The gentleman at the front desk was also super friendly and inviting. Definitely my new go to spot!

Very unprofessional place to get a tattoo. Owners dog and small kid are in and out of the tattoo booths while people are being tattooed. The dog even bit her daughter while I was there, her kid is in and out if the tattoo booth nagging her mom and asking questions while eating and dropping food on the floor. The owner puts on gloves then touches her chair or her pants then goes back to tattooing. No concern for a sterilized environment. She then joked about the health department.Extremely unprofessional

Joann is the most amazing tattoo artist Ive ever encountered. I had 6 tattoos before finding her by various artists at different studios and none of them compare at all. I sent her a picture of what I wanted and she transformed that tattoo into 1000x better than the picture or my hope for that tattoo and put that on my skin. She will be the only artist that I ever let touch my skin again and I look forward to her fixing my other tattoos to make them look as good as the one she gave me. Great pricing but, damn, she under charged for the work of art she put on me. Ive unfortunately paid way more for less!

The location is great, right in the heart of downtown Howell. It was very clean and the staff was friendly. I got my work done by Eric Static and I love it. He took the time to capture exactly what I wanted. He offered suggestions that made the tattoo better than I imagined. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a new tattoo. I suggest making appointment that way you have quality time. The picture does not give the tattoo justice. Not all tattoo parlors are the same but this one was exceptional. I will be back for my next one.

Got a tattoo this week at MetroInk in downtown Howell. A beautiful memorial tattoo of my very best friend in the world inJanuary 2019 of cancer. We met in 1970 and remained best friends for 46 years. We were definitely flower children! Had the best of times and a lot of secrets in those years. So I have 2 daisies for the two of us with forget me nots for the best dad in the word and my brother, who I was always close to! Thank you JoAnn for creating this beautiful memory…..and I will see you other 3 on the other side of the stars!

Joann was amazing and provided a very comfortable environment for my sister and I to get our piercings!! She was very informative and it is clear she is skilled at what she does. Overall, it was a very enjoyable experience, and I will definitely be going back.

Several great experiences here so far. Four different people in my family have gotten a tattoo from Huck at this location and he did an amazing job with every single one. This was an amazing experience. I wanted a cover up, the job done by Jeff Hatch was outstanding! He was personable, knowledgeable, and very skilled. Jeff was professional and has high standards of quality and sterile technique. I was very pleased with the outcome of my cover up, I would certainly recommend and I will also return for future work. Definitely a shop to visit if you are looking for a great tattoo artist!

I received an awesome tattoo done by Jeff “Huck”. The attention to detail is very impressive and his knowledge of tattooing is equally impressive. I really enjoyed my conversation with Huck while getting it done. He and the entire staff were extremely friendly and actually made the process fun. I am so happy I stopped in after being told by another artist from another shop that he would not do my piece. Huck, on the other hand, right away said he could do it. I am very happy with my tattoo and just as happy with shop. I’ve already scheduled my next tattoo.

Friendly employees, but I got the vertical labret piercing and not only did they not sanitize my lip first, the piercing is also VERY crooked and I’m really sad about it. I was getting it redone and I was really excited, just for them to mess it up. I’m very disappointed.

I called Metro on September 10th wanting an anti-eyebrow piercing, JOANN informed me that they didnt have any surface bars. So I went out on a whim and asked if she did dermals, and to my surprise she does! She told me to head in around 6:30 and she would help me OUT. When I got there she was super sweet and helped me fill out the paperwork and pick the jewelry I wanted. When it came time for the piercings I was super nervous, for absolutely no reason! She did an amazing job talking me through each one, and they look PERFECT 😍 I honestly couldnt be happier about the whole experience!💜

I went in about 2 months ago I met a guy that said he was interested in doing my tattoo. Then he got hurt and the owner was supposed to get it contact with me and its not been another 2 months and I have never gotten a call. Very disappointed!!!! I will never go back to this place I feel like I have gotten the run around.

From out of town and found this place and decided to get my ears pierced. They are supper friendly and I would highly recommend!! Joann was was great!

After moving away from my previous local shop I was nervous to find a new place locally... after checking out a few others around the area and not so impressed I found Huck and he’s been awesome. Had a few sessions with him so far and I don’t plan on stopping anytime soon! He gets my style with out me having to bring in a bunch of references. A legit artist! Art work has been solid and couldn’t be more happy... highly recommend him plus he’s an all around great guy!!!!

We waited a while beyond our reservation but you can’t rush an artist. Sean added some great personal touches to our design concept that made the final tattoo even better than we had imagined. Well done and highly recommended!

Made an appt for a navel piercing, the lady on the phone was a bit rude but we went anyway. Got there and when the lady ‘greeted’ us VERY rudely, including using profanities and acting like she was totally put out that were patronizing the business. Threw a clipboard down, said fill this out, and walked away. We decided to take our $$ and support another business. This kind of attitude might work in a big city but I can promise you, it will not fly in Howell. Best of luck to this new business but I will not recommend them!

Everyone here was friendly and professional. I worked with Kennedy and she is amazing. Worked with me to get exactly what I was hoping for...no I will correct that statement with I got better than I was hoping for. Have another appointment with her and looking forward to it. I would highly recommend her.

Joann did an amazing job on my tattoos! She is very reasonably priced and is a great artist!

Joanna overcharged me for my tattoo and was very egotistical. She made comments that made me feel bad about myself. And kept stopping and starting allowing my skin to swell and get red to the point she had to put numbing gel on to be able to finish the tattoo. She seemed very distracted throughout the tattoo and got very impatient when waiting for my fiancee for 5 min to get there to pay her. She seemed very self entitled and condescending about how i was able to pay for the tattoo.

I went in on a Saturday to check out the artists first hand. They are the real deal. It was nice to visit a tattoo shop that was friendly and professional. I got both my elbows done 1 1/2 weeks later by Tex. It was exactly what I wanted. It was an easy conversation going over the plan. I didnt feel pressured into a different tattoo. Thanks guys I will be back soon for more ink.

This Place is AMAZEBALLS! Best tattoo parlor i have been in for quality work with that non commercial experience. As a customer I felt completely confident in my artist (Igor) and completely comfortable in the environment. If you are looking to get some ink work done GO TO THIS PLACE! worth every Penny.

I called on Wednesday 7/25/18 and spoke with Tex. I explained that my sister was in from out of state and we would like to get a tattoo together but, she was leaving to head back on Friday morning, so Thursday was the ONLY day. I knew it was EXTREMELY short notice and the odds of being able to get an appt was slim. Tex said to text him the photo ideas and once he was done working on his current client, he would call me and we could discuss the details but he said he could see about fitting us in. I text him several photos and waited and waited and waited. I text him again, several hours after the shop had closed, still no response. I called on Thursday morning as soon as the shop opened, 11am. I asked if Tex was working and they said he was not in today. I explained the situation and they asked me to hold, suddenly a new voice is on the line and they sounded half asleep. They did not introduce themselves and we had an awkward exchange of pleasantries, once I figure out that I was speaking to Tex, I explain again that I followed his instructions and I wasnt sure if I had the proper phone number. He confirms that I did have the correct number and he said he did receive my messages, long awkward silence.... I ask if we can schedule an appt for today and he says that Friday would be better, I remind him that my sister will be gone and I also say that I completely understand that this was super short notice.My complaint isnt that he couldnt fit us in, it was the unprofessional way it was handled. Why couldnt you reply to my text with a short message letting me know you got my text and there were no openings available? Why when I called and asked if Tex was working, I was lied to and told he wasnt, yet suddenly hes on the phone?! I was super excited about possibly finding a new artist to work with and I was more than willing to drive an hour from Detroit, to Howell. I guess Ill keep looking.

I wanted to get a tattoo for my grandchildren of which I have 7 I told the tattoo artist “Huck” that I wanted butterflies one for each and the tattoo he designed was beautiful. I highly recommend this place very professional and friendly.

I wish I could leave a review with zero stars… I came in and made an appointment, came in and did the paperwork and then sat in the lobby for 40 mins and no one ever came back. Just people going in and out to smoke. Ended up leaving. Waste of time! Don’t bother!
