Worth the wait to get pierced by Ebony! She was patient and kind, and walked me through my first piercing in over 15 years. I did a double helix flat for my Peter Pan piercing and couldn’t be happier! It hurt much less than expected and I appreciate the sterility of the studio. Jewelry selection was amazing. Can’t wait to go back for more!

I was visiting NJ last weekend to see family and decided to get a piercing! The manager Erin was so helpful helping me find the perfect placement and jewelry. We came up with the planet as a perfect match with my other jewelry and got the perfect height of my cartilage to be pierced! I will definitely come back! Ebony was so gentle and sweet! They really do take care of their customers what great customer service!!

This was my first time going to 7 Souls and my first tattoo in general, and I could not have asked for a better experience.Erin was quick to respond and help get everything scheduled, and Tyrone was patient, careful, and worked with me extensively to make sure everything was exactly where and how I wanted it - for a functional tattoo, this was especially important, and I am VERY pleased with how it turned out.The place is clean, comfortable, and has a chill vibe to it, and if I get another tattoo I would absolutely come back here to have it done.

Wow. What an experience. This is my first tattoo and I was so nervous but Dell made me feel so comfortable. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. He explained everything in great detail several times to make sure I understood how to take care of my tattoo. I would highly recommend... Thanks for a wonderful experience.

I got my industrial done in July. This was my first time at the shop, but everyone there was so nice and so sweet. I was a little nervous going by myself, but both Ebony the piercer and Erin the shop manager answered all my questions beautifully. I have been wanting to get my industrial done for so long, so I am so happy with the service, that the piercing has been healing flawlessly, and I am definitely going to come back for another piercing!

Walked in for a consultation on a Friday afternoon and ended up getting tatted the next morning. The manager was friendly and accommodating, and she directed me toward the artists whose styles best fit my idea.Claudia was my artist and she did an absolutely incredible job. Her concept was exactly what I envisioned when giving her the artistic freedom to design the piece and it came out great. Not to mention she went out of her way to open up the shop early to work with my schedule.Highly recommend and I’ll for sure go back if I decide to fill in the rest of my arm.

Love my new piercing, Ebony is the best and my favorite, this is my fifth piercing with her so I think is very clear why I keep coming back. She is so knowledgeable, patient and professional. Walked into the building and asked for a second earlobe piercing. After providing Jerome with the necessary documents (passport/id) we went ahead and picked out the jewelry. Jerome quickly started, keeping everything clean by disinfecting the area and using gloves. He marked the piercing location and let me adjust it three times before I was satisfied with the placement. He then walked me through each step. Once finished, he reviewed the after care instructions for the following 2-4 months. Felt very welcome and comfortable throughout the whole experience. Definitely recommend Jerome at this location!

I visited 7 Souls for their annual Friday the 13th flash tattoo event and once again am so impressed by their friendliness, clean space, and incredible energy. I have gotten a few tattoos from their Jersey City location and will always be my first recommendation to friends and family who ask where to go!My artist, Andres, was fantastic and made sure my placement was exactly where I wanted it. I couldn’t recommend 7 Souls enough!

First I want to say I love this tattoo shop. I can say I’ve been a loyal customer since I was 16 I believe. I won’t go no where else. Me and my husband went to get a tattoo yesterday by Jerome(sorry if I spelled his name wrong). He’s been doing my tattoos since 16. I love his work been his loyal customer since wouldn’t trade him for anybody else. He did my daughter tattoo and we talked everything out and it came out perfect. We talked we laughed. Had so much fun. My husband got a mortal Kombat tattoo and he fell in love with it. Also the manger Erin is such a bubbly person she always has a smile on her face. Thank you yet again for another good experience definitely will be coming back soon.

7 Souls Tattoo & Body Piercing is impeccably clean and everyone who works there is kind and cool AF. Carla is an amazing tattoo artist and made my 1st tattoo a memorable & painless experience. She helped memorialize the most important person in my life with her artistry. I’ll be going back to her in a couple of months for another one on my right arm. I couldn’t be happier with the tattoo, Carla, and the shop.

I had Del do my first tattoo. He was very kind and walked me through the entire process. Booking an appointment was easy and Del was nothing but supportive. The entire shop was clean and friendly toward everyone. 5/5 would recommend.

V prompt and knowledgeable explained a lot about the process, the results of which came out incredible. Not to mention being a fellow Filipino artist/brother just always very cool to see kababyan make incredible art. Went today for my 10 year olds first ear piercing….what a GREAT experience!! The ladies, Erin and Ebony were both informative and gentle. Ive been visiting this shop for six years for my facial piercings. Three out of the five were done by Jerome, including my first at age 13 and most recent (now 19). The day before writing this review, it was my birthday. For the day, my boyfriend and I decided to get pierced. Im not the best with names, but I recognized Jeromes face and was comfortable to know he was there for the day. I got my labret done quick and easy, no complaints. My boyfriend got his first-ever facial piercing on his right nostril, and unexpectedly he fainted. Hes had some past medical procedures and knowing how the nerves connect to the brain it made sense after. We shouldve known to give a warning. But Jerome was a true professional, we kept his body up. Jerome was calm the whole time, gave him alcohol on a towel to breathe in that helped him fully wake up, some water, and made sure he was okay to get up and walk. My boyfriend is okay, and we laughed about it right after. This shop is friendly, clean, informative, and I will forever recommend. Shoutout to Jerome and thanks again :). Youll see me again soon.

Made this last minute decision to get a tattoo during my two days visit to the city. The store manager did a great job helping us with the process and she was very sweet too. CLAUDIA was a darling! She explained the entire process, helped me with tattoo placement and the design was so intricate. She did amazing with fine line design which looked very clean. The place has a very welcoming vibe and everyone is super sweet and helpful. Would definitely go back for my next tattoo!

Ebony and the receptionist are very thorough and communicate well. Ebony was able to troubleshoot how to go about reopening my small/closed piercing holes. She took her time and frovided comfort and talked me through every step of the process.

I got 2 Flash Tattoos designed and tattd by Claro on April 27th, 2024. Id been following his work since he started and I am so glad to finally get 2 pieces from him. I was super interested in the newish modern take of Fine China Dinnerware. The shop staff was so welcoming and friendly. The paperwork was quick and easy. All the clients around me seemed to be having a good experience as well. Shop was very clean! I stayed till the end of the day (closing) and got to see all the artists tidy up their areas. It was thorough and pristine. This was a stand out quality, given we are still in the panini period (pandemic).Working with Claro was awesome, start to finish! I never felt rushed, especially with the outline placement. He gave me plenty of time to give it a good look, and make sure I was happy with where it was placed. He even offered to redo it if it needed to be moved, but I trusted his eye cause its so hard to see from my perspective.It wasnt my first tattoo but it had been a couple years so I was initially a little nervous. Claro made me feel comfortable by sharing with me whatever he was doing, if he moved on to something else and explained why it was being done etc. He walked me through detailed step by step aftercare (even if I had already had tattoos - there are always new tips and tricks so make sure you pay attention).Im so happy with how my tattoos turned out! I didnt realize that Claros flash selection was extremely limited, aka ONE and DONE, so that was extra special to learn. Once you pick it, no one else can get it. Great communication and felt very comfortable in the shop throughout my whole experience over 2 long days. Absolutely AMAZING!!! I can’t say enough amazing things about Chris. He is a wildly talented artist (and perfectionist like none other).Chris did such beautiful work on 2 “things” that are very meaningful to me. I had ideas about all of the “things” individually and Chris sketched designs for me. He “gets it” as an artist- which is rare.Overall vibe of the shop is A+++++…. Best music (felt like my own personal shuffle..?), beautifully decorated (love a good mural) and SO SO SO clean. Not a fleck of dust anywhere (black ceilings!), glittering clean tools, chairs, etc.I would recommend Chris to anyone/everyone. He is a brilliant ARTIST… not just a geographically convenient tattoo guy.

I was looking for a tattoo shop in Jersey and I am very happy to have found 7 Souls. My artist Chris was amazing and very talented. He was very professional, patient, and understanding of what I wanted. He communicated very well with me and I felt very happy throughout the process. Went to get my flat and two helix piercing and my experience was pretty awesome!! Ebony did such a great job, I felt very little pain and she helped ease my nerves. Although it’s only been a couple of weeks, I’m so surprised that my piercings are healing this well. I felt slight pain from inflammation which is normal only on the first night but after that, I felt nothing! And my piercing came out super cute!! Also, the staff was so nice and helpful when answering all of my questions and helping me decide on what to do. Thank you!!

Took my daughter for a second earlobe piercing. The shop requires photo ID for minors and their parents, which I appreciate! Ebony was extremely professional and precise. She carefully and thoroughly reviewed the process and after-care instructions with both me and my daughter, where we both felt fully and completely informed. Despite how busy they were, we never felt rushed. Needles were new and sterile, and she was careful to disinfect the area, used gloves, and was extremely clean, neat, & careful. She measured and marked the piercing location beforehand, asked us to confirm agreement, and walked us through each step. Not only was she clearly a pro, but she was also very friendly and personable. I would definitely come here again; highly recommend Ebony!

I love a Friday the 13th flash and 7 Souls JC always does an amazing job. I come in on the regular and usually have Claudia (who is incredible and I love her), but this time got to be tattooed by Claro who is also great and so friendly. The whole team was super organized and ready for the flash line. The hardest part of the whole experience was choosing which design I wanted from the flash sheet because they had so many good options. I’ll definitely be back for the next flash event, and probably before then.

I had been meaning to come into 7 Souls for a tattoo for some time now and the Friday the 13th flash sale was the perfect opportunity to finally do so! I loved the selection of designs and that you could add color for $13 per. And Erin was so kind and welcoming, the moment I got there she helped advise me on the placement of the tattoo, and then Claro was my artist and he was so patient as well when it came to helping me decide on the colors! I love how my “itty bitty pretty coffin” came out (that’s what I’m calling it, anyway!) for such a great deal, Claro was thorough and careful and really talented. Everyone was just really professional and warm, took their time with clients but were also efficient in every part of the process. I’ll definitely be back now for more tattoos!

Had a great experience getting a back piece done yesterday with Tyrone. Exchanged some ideas and references with him beforehand and when I got to the shop he and I finished up what was a great final design. He was very chill and easy to work with and I’m very excited with how the final product turned out as he really made it flow with previous tattoos. Overall great experience and will definitely be back!

I’ve come in a couple times to get tattoos and a piercing and it’s been a great experience every time! Jay is amazing, he listens to your ideas and collaborates with you to get the best tattoo possible. His expertise adds comfort to the visit and he’s very gentle!

The attention is very good, as soon as we entered the place Erin greeted us warmly, there was a waiting list but the wait was totally worth it. I got my nose piercing done by ebony, she explained the whole procedure, what was going to happen, and how it was going to feel, I liked it as it made me feel less nervous. Ebony did a fantastic job with my double helix piercings. The placement is perfect and even tho I just got them, I have no redness and am only a bit sore.Came by another time for refills on piercing care and new earrings but they weren’t open during posted hours and then didn’t really enjoy the people working the second go round when they finally opened.

Great experience at 7 souls! Came in to get my helix pierced. I was so surprised at how many beautiful starter earring choices they had at the shop. Most places only have a plain CZ stud. I opted for a more simple design in case I had more swelling and chose a beautiful opal stud. Ebony did my piercing and was very clean, professional, and patient with the helix placement. It’s been 4 days since the piercing and my helix is healing really nicely! There’s no redness and or pain. I’m already thinking about which piercing I want done next by Ebony:).

I cannot thank this place enough for removing my navel piercing yesterday. I had it for a month and a half, and over the course of a week it had begun to swell, look red, and was increasingly painful. At work that morning I almost vomited from the pain and dizziness the pain was causing me. I had tried to remove the piercing myself the night before, but from how tight it was screwed on and the immense pain in trying I knew I needed a professional to do it. My piercer (I wish I got her name) told me that my body was rejecting it and/or the piercing was not placed in my skin correctly. She also said that it was likely on its way to becoming fully infected, but that I probably wouldn’t need antibiotics unless my pain doesn’t improve over the next 3 days. She removed it after a few tries and even though the pain was unbearable and I was crying and trying not to scream, she remained calm and professional talking me through it. The most physically painful experience I can remember having ever. She gave me clear instructions on how to care for it afterwards and when it was all done, the pain had decreased significantly already as I could sit up without wincing. I was so relieved and I knew I made the right choice. So thankful they helped me and that I could trust them ❤️

Mono gave me my first tattoo yesterday. From start to finish the experience was amazing. Mono had some great suggestions to make my tattoo even better than I first imagined. The shop had a great vibe, and I couldnt have asked for a better experience for my first one. See you guys again soon!

I genuinely loved my experience. i was with claudia for 3 butterflies and a stamp with a sampaguita in it, each piece around 2x2 in size. in total, it took abt 2.5 hours from when she drew the pieces, put the stencils on, and finished the work. she was so helpful esp when i was unsure of sizing and placement, and was very patient with me when i kept wanting to change things. she was very kind and kept checking in on me. this wasn’t my first tattoo ever but it’s the first time ive gotten more than once at a time, and i thought id need more breaks or that she would, but we powered thru fr. like when i tell yall that claudia’s pressure, speed, and skill didn’t AT ALL get worse as we went on…. it’s like she has robot arms it was so good!in my opinion, her pricing for my pieces was underselling herself bc even tho i thought they were simple pieces, i realized that the line work, shading, and overall skill and time needed was beyond what i imagined. for reference, the shop minimum is $100, but i won’t be disclosing how much i paid.overall, her line work is so beautiful and so far i havent noticed any lines that would blow out in the future and it never felt like she went too deep into my skin.im no tattoo expert, but as a customer, id 1000000% come back again.in terms of the actual shop itself, i think the only thing that brought me any anxiety was that a lot of artists are close together with no walls covering them so i was able to see other ppl get tatted and they were able to see me. it didn’t bother me though bc my pieces were on my arm. i think theres a small separate room but when i was there it was only used for piercings so idk. also when ppl would walk back and forth by me, i could feel the floor moving with them, which therefore made me and claudia move with them 😭😭😭 to be fair tho, claudia seemed like she was used to it and it felt like she either paused or stabilized herself whenever that happened.if u book w claudia ( WHICH I RECOMMEND SO HARD ) bring her some ruffles sour cream n onion chips bc i saw her munching on those LMAO

Clean studio, friendly and professional staff. Had a dope queer flash tattoo design done by Claro who has a light and artistic hand. He tattooed relatively quickly in 2.5 hours for approx 4in x 4in tattoo with shading. Claro made the experience comfortable, and while there was no pressure to talk, we had great conversation and a chill time.

I had gone in just expecting to talk about pricing but ended up getting my tattoo the same day. Everyone had great vibe about them and my overall experience was a 10/10. Carla did a amazing job on my tattoo and will definitely go back.

Hanna was amazing! She was very attentive and accomodating, checking often to make sure i wasnt in pain, uncomfortable, etc. She listened to all my concerns and even gave me her professional opinion on placement and size when I wasnt sure. She also gave me time with the stencil to make sure that I was sure of everything before proceeding. The other staff were also very friendly and were all admiring each others work and being supportive. Incredible artists and great vibes, two hours flew by. Cant wait to come back!

Several wonderful experiences here! Ebony consulted on my 7yo daughter’s botched gun piercings (from an expensive piercing boutique in the city…). We came back months later after healing for a flawless piercing experience. Ebony is great with little girls. No fear or tears from my daughter, which is amazing given what she’d already been through! The manager was also really good with making my daughter feel comfortable and excited. We had no wait the first two visits and a little wait the third time for downsizing. Definitely worth any wait you may encounter. I now recommend all my friends bring their kids here for first piercings.

I came in as a walk in and they took me in so quick. Tyrone did such a great job at fine line tattoos and he did them so quick and beautifully done! Deff coming back to get more fine line tattoos!

The staff is super friendly and are great people. My artist was Tyrone and he was out of this world. He took time to really create art and allowing me to collaborate with him on what I wanted the tattoo to look like so it felt even better. The tattoo didn’t hurt at all despite it being a 7 hour piece. He answered all my questions from start to finish and assured me in the aftercare process. He has a lot of experience and you can tell by how he treats his art and skill. Conversation was chill and great and Tyrone is a great person to be sitting with all day!! I asked if they did walk-ins and they do! Due to my immense love of plant life and my previous growth this year, I decided to commemorate it with a large forearm piece. Had a great experience at the shop! I went to get a nose piercing without having an appointment & the crew was able to accommodate me. My piercer was Jerome, he kept his area very sanitized, did a very good job at keeping the pain level at a minimum(literally felt like a pinch), and making it symmetrical to my other piercing. He also changed out the jewelry from my other piercing, which I haven’t been able to do for almost a year lol so yeah definitely come get pierced her & don’t forget to ask for Jeremo!

Walked in, waited for 5-10 minutes, absolutely no one attended me. The lady was on her phone the entire time. Two more people walk in behind me, she finally looks up, and talks to them over me, even though I had walked in before them. It’s not anyone’s job to make sure you’re paying attention to the clientele that walks in. I’m sure the artists have talent, but if you’re a walk in type, this shop didn’t give the first impression of being the place to go.

We had such an amazing experience here. We stopped by for Friday the 13th specials to get tattoos on a whim. It was a great surprise to get tattooed by the guy that designed the ones we decided on. Erin, which I believe is the store manager, was extremely helpful and was great at organizing the chaos of the days specials. Claro was the artist that did our tattoos and he did an amazing job. The vibe and everything else was right. I highly recommend 7 Souls for both tatts and piercings. We were here a few days earlier for our friend to get piercings and existing jewelry anodized. Friday the 13th! enjoyed my experience, it was a first come, first served basis, so I was concerned with the wait, but the shop was well staffed, Erin was managing the line and moving customers along efficiently, and ensured the artists were fed! I got artist Chris Lopez - he gave me a colored “devils lettuce” he was gentle, quick and I LOVED how it came out, For a small tattoo he really brought it to life with color, shading and the white accents. Would recommend :)

I absolutely LOVED my experience here! My friends and I were walk-ins from out of town looking to get tattoos and we couldn’t have found a better place. I got 2 from Tyrone and my friends each got 1 from Chris! I was able to try a few different spots for my tattoos and didn’t feel rushed at all. It was very clean and a friendly environment. They even stayed open late for the girls walking in after us and we hung around to see how their tattoos went. It turned into one big party and was the best walk-in tattoo experience i’ve ever had! 10/10 would recommend and I will be back if i’m ever in Jersey again.

Great experience! I got a quote from Tyrone last week on a piece Ive been wanting to get on my forearm, I went home, checked his work on IG (@tortuga.tattooer), and booked my appointment that day. Just got it yesterday, and I love it! Tyrone took the time with me to plan size, placement, aspects that were and were not likely to work/age well, and some adjustments I wanted to the original reference piece. Very detailed, clean lines, chill vibe, excellent experience!

We went in for a mother/daughter tattoo without an appointment and they were the most accommodating. Fast and efficient. The place was super clean and beautifully decorated. Martin is a tremendously skilled and precise artist, and he was also very patient and thoughtful in the process of figuring out how to best create the tattoo I wanted. Hes a good conversationalist and even though tattooing obviously hurts, he has a light touch with the needle. The final result was phenomenal; Id recommend Martin to anyone and will be coming back soon to have him touch-up an old tattoo of mine that has faded over time. Ebony did my conch piercing, and she was EXCELLENT. She had great recommendations on jewelry and placement. She was extremely professional and clearly really knew what she was doing, which helped set me at ease. She marked and measured meticulously, but then the piercing itself was very quick with minimal discomfort. I got a little woozy afterwards (which I’m prone to and expected), and she was very patient and kind, offered me water, and allowed me to take my time before getting up. The piercing is gorgeous, and I would definitely do another piece with her again. Highly recommend!

Small shop in Downtown Jersey City that expanded next door to its original location. One of the 4 employees was actually helpful. Selection of piercing jewelry is limited and while it is a clean piercer I was not impressed by the overall nature. Parking is limited to street parking that is a pain to find opening spaces nearby so either walk or get dropped off.

She made arrangements that I meet with Ebony to get my septum peircing done over. I felt very convinced with how confident Erin is about the work that the piercers are doing.I met Ebony, and she gave me the best experience Ive had for my septum piercing. She explained many things that I need to be aware of, which I like. And she really examined my face for a while, well the nose really. She checked real well for the sweet spot. When she pierced me, it felt painless. I was surprised that it did not hurt at all. Her work is flawless. I left very happy and pleased with the results. I probably will be coming back for another piercing. Thanks so much to Erin and Ebony at 7 Souls. I also would like to mention that Ebony recently received a Da Bomb Award! I can tell Ebony is a hard worker and is great at her job!

Got my belly button pierced here. Casey my piercer was extremely nice! Made me feel extremely comfortable. Was super thorough with the marking and the actual piercing. Would recommend!Only detail to remember, call before you you go in. The artists work different hours on different days.

Let me start by saying I wanted a memorial for my husband that Passed 3 months ago and it was something unexpected I want to have art to honor him.Tyrone got I contact I explained what I desired and make an appointment. Place is great, clean and organized. He modified the design which I loved. He is a great tatoo artist I’m definitely going back. He did an awesome work and the colors and shading just stunning. I’m very happy with my tattoo of Superman logo with yellow roses. Because he was my super husband and a superhero for many.

Came in yesterday (4/28) for a second piercing done by Ebony, as per usual shes great! Ive been wanting a naval piercing for a long time and after examining my naval since this is an anatomy based piercing, Ebony wonderfully explained how this piercing would be with my naval and some concerns she had. After explaining she left it up to me of I wanted to take the risk or not, then marking took a few minutes until I was satisfied (Im picky about certain things and alignment is one of those things 😅), and voilà the process was over before I knew it! Ebony is very chill and easy to vibe and have conversations with. Im looking forward to getting more piercings done with her! :)Sorry this is lengthy, bad habit of mine 😄

My first tattoo experience was totally amazing, everyone there was super nice and accommodating and Del did such a great job tattooing and working w my ideas, can’t wait to come again!!!

So I originally went as a guest To pick out someone’s piercing hardware and I said oh I should get my nose pierced and they said yeah you should you got a cute little nose and and the blink of an eye Jerome appeared from behind the counter and you there you have it

I went today as a walk-in to see if they had time to give me a helix ear piercing. Although fairly busy, they were so accommodating and sweet. Ebony, the piercing artist, did an amazing job. All around, a great experience and I highly recommend!

I stopped in with a friend on a Saturday to each get a piercing. Ebony did an amazing job! She was patient with questions, went through all of my placement options, and talked me through the whole process while she was doing the piercing.The shop was spotlessly clean and the pricing was reasonable as well, with a wide range of jewelry prices. So glad I found 7 Souls, I’ll definitely be back.

Came in for my first nose piercing, and wasnt sure what to expect in terms on pain and aftercare. Ebony was quite knowledgeable and experienced with the piercing procedure, which was quick and not painful. Ebony also went into great detail on aftercare, precautions, and healing timeliness. Highly recommend getting any piercings from this establishment.

First time getting my helix pierced and was a little nervous but Ebony took great care of me and was able to recommend placement based on my style and ear anatomy! She was thorough with cleaning all the needles, my ears, explained the whole process and aftercare.

I went to them for a consultation after finding them on google and looking up some of the work. Everyone there at the time was incredibly friendly and welcoming. I wanted a star tattoo on my foot - relatively simple. Because of the placement was recommended Tyrone, we talked briefly that day and scheduled an appt for the following week. Was a quick and easy process. The final product was beautiful, exactly what I wanted - I would highly recommend him, and the studio in general.

Angel is an excellent communicator at figuring out what his client needs (meaning me, hi I’m Client) and following through on a design that is still his unique style. You’ll what you want and he’ll get to make his kind of art on you. Awesome experience. More to come.On a note of the parlor this particular afternoon: they were BUSY. And listening to the other artists there discuss their craft, discuss the interests of clients as they come in, arguing about content and style: these people care about their work. It’s a good place to go. You’re in good hands.
