I got my first tattoo done here by Derek he was amazing super light handed he drew up a design I loved from my idea and made sure to check in on me when needed I’ll definitely be coming back for more tattoos.

Got a dermal done by Anthony Flores he was awesome and even stuck around after closing to do my dermal . Was very quick n explained everything he was doing . Awesome work !!!

Stopped in for a Friday the 13th flash sale, even with a packed house the artist were able to get people in and out quick as hell. But were still quick as hell. The artist who got me in their seat, Derek, was super cool, and professional and had a really light touch. He also took the little bit of extra effort to take the flash line art and make it something that is just a little better. My experience was 10/10 and I will be returning

Went with a friend to get our septums pierced. Even though they had a large crowd in there we were in and out in no time. Its been a little over a week and the healing process has been amazing. Hasnt been sore since the 2nd day.

Came in as a walk-in on a super busy day, Bill took time to greet me and set an appointment up with a more than reasonable deposit. He did an amazing job fitting the design to a difficult location and laid the work down quickly. I am SO happy with the result. On top of that the shop is cool, all the artists seem awesome and its a great atmosphere in general. I will be a return customer for certain.

They didn’t have what I needed for my piercings, just a small selection, BUT very kind employees. They were very patient with my questions and happy to help. Cool looking shop I would love to come back for ink someday!

Got an anti-eyebrow piercing from David he did an amazing job! I was nervous when I went in but he was nice and that made me relax very professional and everything’s sterile! He explained this particular piercing has a high rejection rate and to follow after care instructions strictly to help prevent it. I’m now all healed up and still loving it I HIGHLY recommend him to anyone getting a piercing you won’t regret it! Thanks again David!

Took my daughter on her 17th birthday to get her industrial pierced and it was the biggest mistake ever. We went to body accent to get her another piercing and I asked them to look at it for her and she said it was pierced way wrong. I am so disappointed in my decision to allow her to go her and get it done. We will be sticking with body accent from here on out. If you’re looking for a good piercing done right I would not suggest going here.

David did an amazing job with both of my piercings (nipples & forward helix), making sure everything was sanitary and placed them perfectly! My piercings are healing great and timely! Would 100% recommend getting a piercing from David. Great guy!

Went in for an eyebrow piercing and didnt realize that they only accepted cash. They had no issue with me running to an ATM nearby though while they got everything set up. I was in and out really quickly and everyone was really friendly.

James set me up with a BEAUTIFUL turtle tat! He free styled the colors and it ended gorgeously and even brighted up the white of another tat of my also done him. Hes also great to talk to while getting it done.

I took my wife here to her her lip and nose pierced. She was nervous because the last place I took her, the guy flirted with her and even personally messaged her about her body, knowing she was married. We went here instead and David made her feel instantly welcome and comfortable and it was the exact opposite as our experience with somewhere else. She will be back for sure!

I got my helix pierced for the second time at old 66 tattoo and it did not hurt a bit. My piercer was David he was amazing have me time to think over the piercing and helped me decide the best way to Pierce it. I have gotten my helix pierced once before and it took a while for the person to put in the julery but David put in the julery in like under 30 sec and about a week later it doesn’t even hurt. I would definitely recommend this shop. The experience was 10/10 for sure!!

David did my nostril and fixed some janky spacing on my lobe piercings. I explained the situation to him and how they’ve always been messed up and I’ve wanted my thirds done but the spacing was always weird. He made them as even as possible given the circumstances. I left very satisfied with his work. He was also extremely professional and talked to my friend and I like we were his buddies. Highly recommend going to David for all your piercing needs.

Stumbled upon this place looking to get a memorial tattoo. Met with James, and wow. Great guy and amazing work on something that was incredibly special to me, and not just this, but James was incredibly empathetic. He helped make this tattoo perfect, and I could tell he felt how important this was. The final result is amazing.

I usually go to Body Accents for my piercings, but this particular day the piercer wasnt in so I decided to try this piercer... worst mistake ever.Everything seemed fine and dandy until the needle goes through and he looks at me and says UGH did you move? I thought he was kidding, but that unfortunately was not the case. He had pierced it so shallow that I guarantee you it wouldve ripped out, and apparently it was my fault? He then tells me he can do it again so I hesitantly say yes... second worst mistake.He takes it out, my lip is gushing blood and he simply wipes it off, takes the clamps, says thats better and goes right through again without remarking it. As Im leaving he says if its still crooked after it heals, come back and Ill do it again for free.... Um..STILL CROOKED?I get in my car and look at it and you can visibly see that the first hole was centered and then my new hole is way too far to the right. He also used a 14 g when typically lip rings are 16 g so it was incredibly heavy, making my lip dangle downwards. He also used a hoop WAY too big. Ended up just having to take it out. $40 waste of time and pain for no reason. Absolutely will not be letting him repierce it or give me any piercings for that matter again.

Went in for a tattoo... It was kind of busy but I was waited on promptly and courteously.. Had time to browse all the books of tattoos and thought some of the old school tattoos were pretty awesome. The establishment was clean and sterilized and I felt very comfortable there. I would recommend them to all and I will be a repeat customer. My neck tattoo that was done came out beautifully. This is a really great place to get your tattoos. Nicely decorated, clean and very friendly. No appointment needed. They are open Monday-Saturday from 12-8pm. My daughter has gotten several tattoos there and they have done really good work at a decent price, and we had so much fun getting them. They make you feel at home. So if youre itching for a tattoo go to old 66

This is probably the best tattoo shop and group of artists Ive yet to experience in my life. I highly recommend this shop to any and everybody who is ready for a piercing or tattoo! These guys will do your skin right as well as your pocket along the way!

UPDATE: the shop didnt clean my ear or nose before piercing them?? I was thrown off by this, but Ive only ever been to this place for piercings and another one in Oklahoma over 3 years ago and didnt really realize that not cleaning the piercing site beforehand is a big no-no. My industrial is healing great, but both of my nose piercings were done here, and both have developed nasty bumps in their lifetimes. Ive tried calling like 5 times to ask what material they use in their metals, but can never get ahold of them. Definitely wont go back.

Got a tattoo a few weeks ago, I was a little appreciative getting inked in this shop. It looked like a high schoolers party garage. The artist was ok, the tattoo has some flaws. It was a little expensive and the artist complained that he should have quoted us more. I understand that the price of tattoos are higher then in the past years, but if your not the best artist around you shouldnt charge as much as they do. Would have given a 4 star if the shop was nicer. I would recommend finding another shop if your wanting a professional tattoo.

Both my friend and I went in for piercings. He got his lobes done and they went fine. I got a helix piercing which has incorrectly sized jewelry (the gauge is way too large) compared to the jewelry my other friend got put in hers by them when she also got her helix pierced less than a month ago.

They were the only place in Joplin who were polite and helped my daughter and I so much. We appreciate them very much. I will definitely be coming back soon to have my tongue pierced too 😁. I believe Old 66 Tattoo will be our go to piercing place from now on.

David is the best piercer all around Joplin. Everytime I’ve went and got something pierced he’s always done an amazing job! I will not go anywhere else. I’ve had multiple piercings done by him. He always makes sure everything is clean and ready when I come in. I recommend him to anybody and everybody!!

Guy didnt clean the area before he started the tatt and I didnt see him clean any of his work station. The place is really dirty inside too. Would not recommend this place as they dont follow proper sanitizing protocols so that clients procedures dont get infected or worse, pass on any diseases from previous clients. Its honestly not safe to get a tatt or piercing at this place solely based off of that, lack of professionalism aside.

Made an appointment a week ago, they totally flaked. Even though we were there the day before, the guy text us only 1hour before our appointment and cancelled. The old guy was totally creepy and the shop was filthy!Dont go here....why spend money on crappie tattoos. I seen some of their work on people and no, in my opinion its not good. Got sister tattoos here last weekend and they are beautiful! Everyone there was very nice and a fun bunch of artists! I definitely recommend Old 66!!!!! Kevin was so patient and entertaining that it made a great memory for us!!!!

My wifes tattoo was not deep enough and 2 weeks after she got it it is halfway gone. Went to have it done right and was told that artist had to fix it or it would be an extra setup fee and he would not be back for a while. I would recommend going somewhere else.

David is an amazing piercer and very professional, the shop is clean and the employees are very fun.….I got a lip piercing from him….he made it very comfortable and told me each step he was going to do BEFORE he did it….I would and have recommended him ….and will go back for further piercings…..

Got my first tattoo here about 3 days ago, so far so good. I was super anxious and nervous about it and they handled it well. I also came unprepared clothing wise, so they kindly set up the back room so that I could have more privacy. The shop was dusty, but not dirty.

Went with two friends to all get nostril piercings. Michael Rumsey was our piercer and he was so professional. He did an excellent job explaining the process and after care and he was very gentle.

Was told they had time to do my tattoo that day, about 1.5 hours into the design process (which was pretty basic) was told it couldnt be done that day and would have to make an appointment for a later date. Artist seemed very inexperienced and had trouble creating a very simple design. Wouldnt recommend this business simply based on its customer service and the capability of the artist.

Jim did an awesome coverup for me. Very thorough, professional, and courteous! Honestly enjoyed every minute of the experience!

Went to the store for a medusa (philtrum) piercing, have never seen such unprofessionalism. My piercer missed mark after the first piercing, and we had to redo it straight, and never really could achieve that with the second jab. He fumbled the screw-on closure ball and asked me to do final tightening myself. My ball fell off of my piercing within days, something that Ive never had issues with as other piercers have ensured tight fittings to retain the piercing. Will not go to Joplin, MO for a piercing ever again. I could not tell you the piercers name as he did not introduce himself to us.

I went on got my nose pierced there today. They were extremely fast, I was in and out. They were also super nice and funny and the building was very clean. My piercing didn’t hurt hardly at all.

I got my helix done here, it was pretty easy and looked great my only complaint is that my peircer did not wear gloves or clean the area before peircing but it was overall a good experience

I wasted 3 1/2 hrs sitting around joplin cause i was told to come back at 7 pm to get my tattoo done, only to be told were all booked up for the nite. Shouldve told me that at 3 pm, I coulda went else where for some good service.

I cant Express how amazing Ieane is. I called to ask about Friday the 13th tattoos explaining that my 20yr old sister who has Autism(whos always wanted a tattoo) would like one. I offered to pay the price if someone was just willing to give it a try. The gun noise and possible pain, she may not go through with one. Ieane talked to his boss who let us come in early and Ieane was excited to help. This meant so much to me. We ended up with matching sister tattoos. He was so patient and explained everything to her. Ieane talked to her the whole time and not letting her focus on the work being done. I couldnt recommend this shop enough.

Well I found out 2 hours later you don’t get a loop when you get a side nose piercing they used a loop instead of a stud and gave me no after care instructions at all. Don’t recommend

Ive been made aware of a very rude, offensive comment posted here recently. As it has the same name as mine, I apologize that it is not my account. Such comment should never be posted online about anyone when not true. I was contacted by the employees of the shop although very frustrated they handled it professionally. I strongly urge anyone to report the comment made and disregard such untrue things said.

One of the worst tattoo shops I have ever seen I felt like I was in a dirty bikers garage getting tattooed. Not to mention the artist was a complete jerk and seemed irritated because he had to do my tattoo then told me he wouldnt do that little of a tattoo which btw was not little it stretched across my forearm but anyways he ended up drawing a huge tattoo which would have overlapped going around my whole arm so I changed the placement and put it on my lower back it still goes hip to hip and he dug so deep into my back the whole thing is scared and raised above my skin. Never go to them my tattoo looks horrible and is going to be supper hard to cover up. Thanks a lot.

Called and said I would be there in an hour and half, the piercer left for over an hour and I did not get the piercing done due to the lack of time management

I had called and stated that I was under 18 several times! They told me that it was okay as long as I had a parent or guardian with me, after driving a state over and I get there, they tell me I could be pierced at all because I was under 18 even if my parent was there.

Talked to one of the workers on the phone and he was rude as HELL. Very short with me. That made me decide I wasnt going to get a tattoo there I dont need someone rude like that putting something on my body.
