I have gotten 3 tattoos from Moon. All three are unique designs that I enjoy wearing a LOT. Moon is very attentive and a fantastic artist. Highly recommended. Already looking forward to the next tattoo with him.

What a Great place! Super friendly and very welcoming… My wife and I had tattoos scheduled at another shop and was cancelled on barely an hour before our appointment time… well we looked up this tattoo shop and they were able to get both us in right away… Thank You Moon! This place is legit. Moon is a true artist. Very professional and creates masterpieces. My wife and I came in for pretatto appointment and told him what I was wanting to get and he showed me a sketch on his iPad and ask me questions on what I wanted in my tattoo. To say the least it is the best one I have now. If you are interested in getting some ink go see Moon!!! You will not be disappointed!!!

Had an appointment at another tattoo shop that got canceled last minute. Called Kukui Street Tattoo and they were able to take us in 30 minutes. Both Moon and Sebastian we super nice. Both myself and my husband got tattoos which we both love!!! Thank you guys!!!

First off, the place is spotless! Moon did both of our tattoos. He was great! If (...when) we come back to the island, we will definitely request him again.

I went into the shop an hour before closing and Justin was so kind and accommodating! He’s such a beautiful soul and INSANELY talented! We worked together to come up with this beautiful piece, I absolutely LOVE IT! My skin is super sensitive and gets red easily, that’s just my norm. I can’t wait to see how it heals, I love it so much already! Thank you, Justin!

Just a fantastic experience with ink master Mario. He put to paper and skin all I wanted. Mario was so creative and such a fun person to be with. Mario is so skilled and I’m beyond happy with my tattoo.

I cannot say how much I absolutely love my tattoo!!! Justin did such a beautiful and detailed piece of art, completely freestyle drawing. The shading and detail in the flowers is just gorgeous! It came out so much better than the pic I brought. You could tell he’s an artist first and not just a tattoo guy. Very conscientious about his work, he is passionate about what he’s putting on your body and wants it to be as perfect as you do. Honestly I’m SO GLAD I found him and when I go back to Kauai I will definitely be getting more work by him. Absolutely recommend him - ask for Justin and you will not be disappointed!! ❤️❤️

My husband and I are visiting Kauai for our honeymoon and decided last minute we wanted to try to get tattoos before our vacation was over. Mario took us as a walk-in and did an amazing job!! We were so impressed with his work!! (Our tattoos turned out better than the photos we brought) He was very polite and professional. The shop was clean and a lovely relaxing environment. If we were local we would definitely make this our regular ink spot!!

I saw Justin today for a tattoo of a whale, for my aunt who is very sick and likely passing soon. He was AMAZING. His attention to detail was outstanding and he was very considerate considering what I wanted and why. He made me very comfortable. I couldn’t recommend him enough. It was my last day on the island and I decided to get a tattoo to commemorate the transformative experience I had while on Kaua’i. Justin was not only welcoming and warm, he was INSANELY talented. He took what I considered a simple lettering tattoo and put time, care, and PRECISION into every line he did. He made my first color tattoo experience better than I could have ever imagined, and as someone who had over 30 tattoos from a variety of artists, Justin exceeded all of them by miles. A clean, friendly parlor!They are a little bit off the beaten path, but the art is superb and the staff is extremely friendly. I got a tattoo from Mario, who did a really awesome job of bringing the concept of my tattoo to life, all in a timely manner right becore leaving for the airport.The most comfortable I have ever felt in a tattoo parlor.

My best friend and I went down to Kukui Street Tattoo towards the end of the day for matching sea turtle tattoos. Justin accomodated is both and the result was absolutely perfect. His lines are exceptional. He took such pride in his work and it shows in the end result.

We have been getting tattoos by Moon Lake at Kukui Street Tattoos for over 20 years. Best tattoo artist on the islands. Both my wife and I have over 8 tattoos each and all of them have been done by Moon Lake! We will not go anywhere else! If you want the best, check it out!!

As an avid traveler whos gotten tatted on the road moreso than near home - what I love about tattoo artists is that great ones can professionally work with you on short notice. Justin is a creative that is a prime example of that who impressively handled a last minute creative piece.Background context: It was hours before my flight leaving Kauaʻi and my silly, impulsive brain decided I wanted to get a tattoo of a concept Ive already mostly simmered for some time beforehand.Kukui Street was the only shop within distance that accepted walk-ins and Justin was available. After conveying with Justin what I wanted (and him dealing with my particular, last min details) he procured something that turned out better than I expected. As a martial artist/Muay Thai fighter I wanted to commemorate my first gloves with some personal detail and I couldnt be more happy with the work Justin did for me at extremely short notice. Thanks again Justin for the time and incredible work! Sorry for my particularities 😅Update: 04 FEB 24 - Because the tattoo contains personal, sentimental details I took down the original photo and zoomed in on it instead to help highlight Justins attention to detail. Notice how well he imitated the creasing on the glove to make it look a lot more life-like, like he scanned the glove and pasted it to my skin. Thats how particular and talented he is.

Kukui Street Tattoo has the most welcoming environment! I have around 17 tattoos and this was one of the best experiences I’ve had at a tattoo shop. Moon was an amazing artist and accommodated our family on such short notice! Definitely a must!

I hate leaving bad reviews but tattoos are permanent so I feel it’s important. Anyways, my niece and I went in to get a tattoo. Great thing we were easily able to get in for a tattoo. Tony was nice as well. Although being charged $150 for each tattoo is a little much for a small tattoo but I assumed we were getting a great tattoo. The quality says different. Multiple lines not connected and/or straight. Unfortunate thing, it’s not something you can easily correct and we are local so it’s not like we can go back to address the issues in person. I am extremely disappointed in what I got and I am hoping I can get it fixed but now I am out even more money. Oh also, be aware he smokes his vape in the room then places his vape right next to all the clean sterile equipment.Just be aware what you’ll be getting if you go to this shop.

I can’t say enough about this place and what a great experience my brother, sister in law (first time getting a tattoo) and myself had. Mario and Moon are amazing artists and made us all feel so comfortable. Besides being a clean and welcoming place, they were fun to talk too from start to finish. We will definitely go back on our next trip to your beautiful island!!!

I was really hoping to get a new tattoo while on my first vacation to Kauai. I was really happy Justin was able to fit me in. His freehand work was amazing, very happy with how it turned out!

Mario was excellent. A man of few words who really knows his stuff. He took a picture of our samples and immediately started making them his own.

Kukui Street tattoo is top notch. The shop is clean and comfortable. My boyfriend and I each got tattooed by Pedro. We are beyond thrilled with the quality of his art and the enjoyable experience we had while getting the work done. We didnt feel rushed at any time and felt that Pedro was genuinely as excited about the tattoos as we were, which made the experience truly one of a kind. Pedro is Ah-mazing and I cant recommend him enough. He took my vague ideas and turned them into a beautiful piece. I have limited real estate and decided I wanted the piece in a sensitive area and he treated me with nothing but respect. I wasnt made to feel uncomfortable at all and that can be hard to find in an artist. I also had some strict time constraints and wasnt able to stay long enough for the tattoo to be finished but he made me an amazing deal for when I come back and get the rest done. Now I have even more of an excuse to go back to beautiful Kauai.TL/DR; Get tattooed by Pedro because you wont regret it and bring CASH! I wish I had cash instead of my card and will be bringing cash when I go back.

I am very pleased with the tattoo that I received from Kukui Street Tattoo. The establishment is clean and has good mojo. The artist I worked with was Kamu. His drafts were awesome and input invaluable.I wanted an arm band that tells a story about me and Kamu took what my family and I came up with and produced what I have on my arm today.
