Ive gone to Karma Tatroo for every bit of ink ive gotten in the last 5yrs. In fact, Ive sent my wife, 2 of my stepsons, my father and countless friends to have work done there. Jesse has done a ton of my work and is the ONLY tattoo artist Id ever allow to tattoo me free hand from pieces like the Armor Plates, Chainmail and Blood Spatter that make up the Gladiator Armor on my chest to the majority of my Lords of the Underworld back piece. That said, it doesnt matter if youre talking to Billy (apprentice), Jackie (Partner/Body Piercing), Emily (Ink Slinger) or Jesse Colvin (Owner/Tattoo Guru), youre getting 110% professionalism, knowledge, experience and custom work youll have a tough time finding anything even close to what youll get from Karma!

I went there on February 4th and got a tree of life tattoo done by Jesse. He did amazing job. He is a great tattoo artist. If I get anymore tattoos he will be the guy I go to. Thank you Jesse for my beautiful tattoo!

Loved that they do walkins!!! Was in the parking lot at a spa to get a massage then I decided I decided I rather get a tattoo instead😝 when I called they said they do walkins she drew my aries sign idea with her twist on it an done!! No appointments is the best when it comes to tattoos!! Come to.find out the owner is the the guy that did my very first tattoo about 13 years ago which I was looking for him last year to add on my other sons name but he didnt work at the same same shop anymore.. Definitely going back!

Good luck finding a better tattoo shop in or around Kingston. Stellar work, fair prices, bright and clean, simply impeccable. Jesse is incredible, Emily is also an amazingly talented artist, and Billy the apprentice also does fantastic work. You cannot go wrong... love them! Going back asap!

My husband and I got our first tattoos from Jesse (did mine) and Billy (did hubby’s). I cannot say enough good things about them both! They were super friendly and professional. The ink they use is organic and vegan and every part of the shop was clean. I get panic attacks at times and was nervous leading up to my appt but Jesse gave me really great tips while I was in the chair and seriously helped put me at ease/keep me calm. My husband was nervous as well but seeing Billy really take his time to make sure everything was perfect was super helpful. It didn’t feel like we were just part of an assembly line that they just “want to finish and kick out”. Both artists took their time to talk to us and put us at ease/make sure we were happy and comfortable with the whole process. We will definitely be going back for our second tattoos!

Jessie is an absolute joy! I love his work! He puts so much thought into my tattoos! The ink I get done from him is incredible!! One of a kind tattoos!! No flash art!! All hand drawn! Ill never go to another tattoo artist!

Karma Tattoo features a handful of truly talented artists with original artwork available. Its a very clean shop with a professional yet laid back vibe, right in the middle of Uptown Kingston. Been going here for years and Ive sent many of my friends here as well. All of the work I see come out of here is fantastic. The artists are always happy to discuss ideas beforehand and adjust artwork to your preference. If youre looking for high quality ink anywhere near the Hudson valley, Karma is a solid choice. Definitely worth the trip.

I had an awesome experience at karma today! Came in as a walk in and ended up getting tattooed by Emily. Her work is beautiful and I couldn’t be happier with it. Emily and the whole shop here kind, accommodating, professional and beyond talented. I will definitely be back!

Wonderful place! Had bad tatoo (done someplace else) that Jesse made look AMAZING! Jesse also designed and completed another tatoo the same evening. Wonderful,clean,friendly, and extremely talented people!!! My mom is going to get work done there,too.

I have 5 tattoos & an appointment for the 6th. 3 of the 5 I got from Karma. I wish I had met Karma & Jesse before getting my first. Outstanding work & very nice people. Kingston is out of my way yet Karma is totally worth it! Thanks guys!

They seemed very nice, but Ashley Drewes review from below is my exact experience.A) I gave a deposit and discussed the workB) could never get in touch to see the drawing(s) for that workC) defaulted on my deposit because they never kept a time to review the drawings my deposit was forIm sure there are two sides to this, and its not a big deal - - - but be prepared to have your deposit get swallowed up.

Jesse is incredible in every way. From the minute you walk through the door, you feel comfortable and informed. The shop is always extremely clean and the artwork is second to none. I wouldn’t go anywhere else!

I made an appointment with Emily Scott for September 2nd. I made the appointment in July. She never contacted me to let me know design was complete nor invite me in to see it. I stopped by today, for the third time, and she was not in. Usually I catch her on her day off, but today I was told she was out sick. I asked if I could get a refund on my $80 deposit and I was told that was nonrefundable for the artwork she created. I told the two men working that I had actually never seen the artwork. Then they told me it was policy not to show the artwork. It is also policy not to refund any deposits. When I walked out, a tall man with a lip ring chased me outside and threatened to call the police on me for being out of control but I was already off the premises. I asked him to stop threateningly following me and he did...but I cant believe he left a customer laying in the tattoo chair to chase me. I wouldnt leave this review but Im hoping theyll refund my deposit as no services were actually rendered.

Went here on the recommendation of a few friends and they did not let down. It may look like a hole in the wall, but it makes up for it in character and art on the inside. I dropped in as a walk in and they were able to squeeze me in. Amazing work (mine was lettering) and they were great sports about what I wanted. Definitely check them out if you want quality and clean service.

Jessie was absolutely amazing. This was my first real tattoo and it definitely left me wanting more ASAP. I highly recommend Karma!!!

Got a tattoo with Emily. Completely ghosted in regards to a touch up for some of the blue that didnt stick. Guess Ill have to find someone else to do that, and I wont be returning. Very unprofessional and entirely unacceptable in my opinion when were dealing with permanent art on my body.

Took my daughter to get a daith piercing and the girl gave her a rook instead!! Contacted someone on Facebook about it who told me no problem we’ll reimburse you..I go back and the people in the shop knew nothing about it. The owner and piercer was rude to us. The piercing girl tried to say my daughter told her the wrong thing, yet the form we signed said she did a daith, not sure how that’s our fault. They ended up agreeing to change out the earring to at least put the right kind of earring in the hole but I had to argue to get the cost of the piercing back. I was looking forward to getting my tattoo from them but with this kind of service I’m thinking it’s not a good plan, they might tattoo it upside down!

Great experience with Jesse, Emily and Billy. took my friend here for her first tattoo and I am so glad I did.

Got mine and my boyfriends anniversary date tattooed on us, Emily was awesome so was I think his name was Billy, did a amazing job exactly what we wanted.

The best tattoo shop upstate hands down. They are super clean and freindly. Prettymuch every point you want a tattoo shop to have is at Karma llc. I will be telling all my friends ;)

They are excellent I highly recommend they make you feel very comfortable I had my first tattoo done recently I was very nervous and they made me feel very relaxed

I came in for consultation and was talked to a man whom made me feel like an idiot he dismissed my idea and talked about a design that was not at all that I wanted he also was talking badly about another artist in the area whom I believe was his mentor at one point, also the shop is so cramed with things on the walls that it made me feel claustrophobic .

Jesse is an amazing artist. I highly recommend him and his staff
