Studio 85 Tattoo

Dale was SO awesome. We went on our daughters birthday to honor her memory and got tattoos. I had never got one beforehand, but it was super relaxing, professional, and fun to hear the stories. Highly recommend!

I have been to the studio 5 times. Two of those times was with Amanda for different tattoos and two with Dale for an ongoing project (the other time was with an artist that is no longer there)Amanda and Dale have both been super awesome, friendly, fun to work with, and knowledgeable. They have both expressed excitement over my tattoos which makes the whole experience feel personal. Prices are reasonable, I feel that both artists have been worth everything I’ve spent. I love the environment of the shop and listening to the artists interacting with each other and commenting on what each other is doing that day.

I have 9 tattoos by Ciara and i love each one. My newest is for my new granddaughter whose nik name is Boogie. This shop is so beautiful inside and out. The entire staff were so nice. Definitely will be back.

Studio 85 is the best! Amanda has been my go to for a while now, but everyone is welcoming and kind. Amanda listens well and her creativity is evident in her designs. The space itself is always clean and organized, plus there is always a little candy treat :)

Both my wife and i have gotten tattoos done here by Amanda and she has done superb work. The place is super clean and the staff is knowledgeable and friendly. They even have Netflix to watch while you’re being worked on. The Office is a good choice because it’s casual watching.They also have a water cooler, so bring your hydro flask!

All the artists have amazing work, but Ive only worked with Amanda. I can say without a doubt that she is awesome and Ive had nothing but good experiences with her. I love her work, and she is very thoughtful and communicative throughout the process. The studio is welcoming and perfectly clean. I like how the layout is set in a way that somewhat separates each artists space for a bit of privacy.

Clean, nice, relaxing. I loved my experience, and I love my tattoo. One little spot is still healing, but thats normal.

I have been to many tattoo places in my day, and this one is at the top. It is clean, inviting and the staff is friendly. The artists are talented and listen to your ideas - then they execute a clean, sassy tattoo. Jessie recently started a Maleficent tattoo on my leg, and I gave her free reign to design what she thought would look good... the results are bad ass!! Love this place and its artists!

Best place in the area in my opinion to get a tattoo. Everyone is friendly and very professional. Abby did my half sleeve about a year and half ago. I absolutely love her work. Her flexibility and ability to take my 30 ideas and come up with the perfect design is just an example of the artist she is. I still get people stopping me to compliment my tattoo.I also have friends who have since had some tattoos from other artist and the work is amazing. Highly recommend and hoping to get into an appointment to finish my full sleeve.

There are many places to get tattoos but Ive yet to see this shops equal. The shop itself has a clean, welcoming feel to it, closer to a coffee shop or art gallery than what youd typically expect from a tattoo place. All the artists are ARTISTS and theyre more than willing to work with you to create a piece of art thats going to be on your body. This isnt a place where some guys that think they can draw set up a tattoo shop and let you pick something thats within their meager ability from a book. Go here if you want a tattoo that is going to stand out from the crowd.

The staff was awesome, friendly, and very polite. The shop was very clean. We went there to get our sons ears pierced. Butch walked him, and us, through the entire process. He made sure that our son understood everything and was comfortable throughout the process. Amazing job! We will definitely be back.

I just got my triples and cartilage pierced, and I love it so much! They are so amazing, and Butch the piercer it absolutely great! I had my nose pierced here about a year ago and it turned out perfect. I highly recommend coming here for all body piercings. I had an amazing experience here. The shop has a very welcoming atmosphere and the staff is very friendly and informative. The consultation went very well and Jessie made an incredible design for me out of the pictures and description I gave her. I was honestly surprised how well my idea translated to her (especially since this was my first tattoo) and Im in love with my new tattoo. Also all information about my appointment, prices, and procedures were given very clearly and understandable. I cant wait to go back and add on to what I have now!

Amazing experience every time! Amanda is a fantastic tattoo artist and always makes me feel comfortable and at home. The vibe of the shop is cozy, modern and professional. Plus the artists make sure sanitation procedures are followed well, and I felt very safe getting my tattoo as they staff followed all Covid guidelines. I have now been tattooed twice at Studio 85, once by Jessie and once by Abby, and I can’t recommend them MORE! The whole process is very professional - despite them being very busy both times, they were able to arrange a consult and then book a date for my tattoos. The shop is very clean and comfortable, and everyone there is friendly and professional the entire time. Both artists were very receptive to my ideas and created beautiful tattoos based on them. Super clean studio! Butch did ear piercings for my 6 year old daughter. He sterilized everything right in front of us and explained everything to her with a positive spin! Such a great experience!She loves the pink studs she picked out and the treasure box toy he gave her afterward! A friend and I came here for some piercings and Butch was awesome! They have real jewelry with a wide variety of prices. Butch explained the healing process to us and provided a cleaning kit. He autoclaves (cleans) the equipment in the room, so it was a nice confirmation that it was sterile. After piercing, he then went above and beyond by helping us with some of our other piercings. He helped us pick out better jewelry that was the right gauge and even changed the color of my nose ring to match my glasses! Then he helped us change out our difficult hoops for our new ones! He also wants us to come back for the first jewelry change to ensure it heals okay. He provided great service and the atmosphere was good! 10/10 Butch is awesome!

Butch was amazing. Took my 7 year old daughter in yesterday. He was so amazing. He sterilized everything with us right in front of him. Explained everything he was using and what he was going to do in terms she understood. He talked to her on her level. He made it so easy she didnt cry or even blink. Actually, he was so gentle, she didnt even realize he had already pierced her ear! I highly recommend. He even had a treasure box for her to pick something from on the end. And the after piercing products are all safe and environmentally friendly with no harsh chemicals. Ill be sending all her friends his way for sure.

Went here to get my first tattoo and Im very pleased with the service. Ive been in a few tattoo/piercing shops and didnt feel welcome. Studio 85 greets you as soon as you walk in, and all the artists were very polite. Dale and Lindsay did our tattoos and were super professional. The shop is super clean. I liked that they werent doing the tattoos right out front for other customers to watch. They have two separate rooms (that I saw) from the waiting room, where they tattoo. Our artists triple checked on the placement and alignment before they finally began. If youre getting your first tattoo, check them out! I cant wait to get another one!

I got my very first tattoo here, and I was nervous at first but the enviorment is so chill it helped a ton, also very clean. The artwork displayed throughout is phenomenal also. Dale was my artist and Ive every intention of going back to him -- he is really nice and easy to talk to. 10/10 recommend

Butch did a great job piercing my forward helix! He has over 16 years of experience piercing and was through enough and very patient with finding the best angle for my tiny ears! He did an absolute amazing job! I recommend this place to anyone and I’ve had lots of piercings done all around Cincinnati!

I went in to get a double helix piercing and was taken back right away. Butch was super nice and was very helpful in explaining the materials of each earring. once I had it pierced he went over every detail of what to do and not to do to keep it clean. he did an amazing job and I will definitely be going there again. it was only $80 for to be done and no appointment was needed.

I havent even got any work done yet and Im already very impressed! I called, before they even opened, to leave a message that I was interested in getting a piercing. I was surprised to get a live person, and it turned out to be the owner, Jessie. She was very gracious and professional and answered my questions. I decided to stop by later that day to talk further and to see the studio. The beautiful Jess was there. She, again, was courteous and professional and answered my questions to the best of her ability. I was impressed enough with Jess and the studio that I inquired about adding and enhancing some previous ink work on my back. Jess was very helpful, open minded, and encouraging. Needless to say, I am looking forward to working with Jess and Studio 85!

Dale did my first tattoo and he far exceeded my expectations. I gave him some ideas of what I was looking for and he came up with something that was even better than what I imagined. Studio 85 is the best around.---New update. After being a a customer for over a year, I still cannot say enough good things about Studio 85. Dale has done a fantastic job on a half sleeve and we recently started a full sleeve. The tattoos have all healed great. Amanda did a great job on a script piece for me. Dale has done two amazing jobs on my wife. Butch has done two piercings for my daughter and has done a great job. Studio 85 is the hands down the best place for tattoos and piercings.

I got my septum pierced by butch just a little under an hour ago. he was so sweet, made sure i was comfortable, explained the healing process and answered all of my questions. my piercing was placed correctly, almost painless. i’m definitely returning for future piercings!

Studio 85 was extremely clean and observing all COVID precautions when I went in for my piercing yesterday. Butch was friendly, professional, and put me at ease right away. He even ran out to my car in the pouring rain to give me my water bottle that I forgot! Im thrilled with his work, and I would recommend this studio to anyone!

Hands down amazing place. Both my wife and I got our tattoo here and the staff was very professional and great at what they do. Everything including the equipment is very clean and prefessionaly set up. There are several drawings from each tattoo artist you can look at or bring your own. They provide water if you need it and the bathroom is very clean.

Butch literally saved my life. I had my nose gaged and hadn’t had enough to eat before hand, so I ended up passing out at the front desk checking out. Somehow he caught me from behind the desk, and lowered me to the floor. He held my head and stayed with me until I woke up, gave me a coke and let me recoup for 15 minutes while he had another appointment to make sure I was okay. He’s the sweetest and I would highly recommend this place for anything!

Took my 10 yo daughter to have her earlobes pierced. Had a great experience. Butch absolutely knew what he was doing and explained everything to us. Very clean place and would absolutely reccomend.

Long story short…my tattoo was 4 letters, one color, and took maybe 15 minutes. Along with having to listen to the artist complain the entire time. Charged $107.That’s bad business…shame on the artist and the owner who was standing there, agreeing to the charge. After telling several friends about this experience, they have since went elsewhere.DO BETTER!

I heard great things about an artist at studio 85 and have been trying to get a tattoo from Dale for over a month. I called and scheduled an appointment, at least they told me I did, but then told me to submit my request online. A day or so later they responded with a different date and time a a couple of weeks later. When I called, they didnt have any record of the initial agreed upon date and time. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and let it go. I had a major scheduling conflict come up and had to rescheduled almost two weeks in advance, again, on the phone. Before the rescheduled appointment I paid a $100 deposit online. Then they email me back saying that they didnt have any record of an upcoming appointment.Im a veteran trying to get a branch related tattoo. They knew this. Did 11 years active service. They dont seem to care about vets as far as I can tell. They did reimburse my money but Ill be taking my business elsewhere. They may have great artists, but the business side of things is very poorly run. I feel bad for the artists. Sorry Dale, if you ever go to a different shop, Ill happily go there.

Ill start out by saying this place is awesome. Ive been a client of Jessies since before she branched out and open this shop. And she is usually the only person I would let tattoo me, the one exception being Ivy, because I know Jess taught her well. I cant vouch for anyone else employed there, but I can only imagine they hold to the high standards Jessie has set for the studio. Jess went from being 5 mins away to being about 40 mins with light traffic. And Id be willing to drive it every time for work I know Im going to leave happy with. Studio 85 is fair priced, friendly, and quality driven.

My friend had a cover up tattoo done here in the last 8 weeks. Her previous tattoo artist had died and she felt badly about the allergic reaction she had to some red ink he had used. This studio was able to cover up the original with a design that made her happy and placed it so well that you can never tell there was anything else there. Im going to get some script on my chest there soon because she was so incredibly happy with the work done and it meant so much to her to have the original one corrected. Clean shop from what I could see in the waiting area. Customer service is good. But overall poor communication between customer and artist. I say this because I made the appointment three months out and didnt hear anything from the artist til the day prior. So because I had not seen anything yet, I felt that my idea was most likely not translated correctly because it wasnt drawed up till three days prior. Which leads me to believe that the pictures I gave to them were just layed on top of one another. So most likely no creativity. The deposit is extremely high for any shop Ive been too. They require a $150.00 deposit compared to most places that only require $50.00 at most. If you feel this place is right for you then go for it. But my advice to anyone else looking to get work done, go look at other places first and compare deposit fees and the wait time.Obviously the owner does not know what the word combative means. I have merely stated an opinion about my experience with this studio. But now Im going to into the whole experience what little there was since the review I gave got met with finger pointing.So the first time I showed up to studio 85 after seeing work and it coming highly recommend was good. Again, Ill state clean shop and nice staff. I was told I need a consultation in order to get tattooed. No worries, I was asked if I had a preference, I said no. So I was given an artist and came a couple of weeks later to for the meet and greet.Heres now where the problem begins. The so called consultation was just me saying I want a tattoo and when was the best time for the artist to squeeze me in. Asked about my idea and after I gave it to him, he didnt look to confident and said he would try. All this took about 10 minutes. Not much of a consultation. And if he wasnt feeling to excited about he could have down more during it with his computer and got an overall picture of what I wanted, but he didnt.So, then I had to go home email the shop my idea, not the artist, so he knew what exactly what I was looking at getting. Now after three months and only 48hrs before the appointment I had no communication with the shop or the artist. Even tho I asked the email to the artist to contact me when it was done so we could go over it and make any changes if needed. That never happened.Now the day prior I decide cancelled because of this issue because it was going to be such a large piece. The artist was sick the day off so they were willing to reschedule. No mention of getting together with the artist to due any changes or just to see if I would like his design.After, rescheduling and then thinking about I just figured it was going to go the same way as before. So I just cancelled all future points. Tho I was advised I would lose the money, I was okay with it even tho thats just BS since nothing was lost or gained. Even as the shop bagged me to keep the appointments.Just as a customer beware of this place because of the booking issues and the amount of time it takes to get it. If anything changes and you do decide to cancel theyre going to take your money and not give any options of getting a new artist. They point fingers at you and not at their poor communication and lack of managing the clients better for the artist.My rating will stay the same. Nothing against the shop other than poor communication and most likely a lack of creativity in the work.

Never been here. Was looking into getting a tattoo. Looked it up. Saw great reviews. But I absolutely was appalled at the response from the To ONE negative review. Instead if letting it go, or being polite, the owner RIPS into it , into a long winded speech, then follows up by a summary of what he just said. It was overboard. If the owner chose to respond, he could have done so in a much much much MUCH more professional manner.

Went to Butch for ear piercings, he was friendly and knowledgeable and put me at ease. I was done in no time and I love the result!
