Went for the Retro Gaming event and very pleased with my tattoo! Will definitely be back to this shop when I’m ready for some more ink!The shop and bathrooms(at least the men’s) were clean, had some chairs, stools, and a couch for the waiting area, and even some clothes and other things to browse.One important thing to note is cash only for tattoos and piercings, but they do have an atm on site so that was convenient!

Asked Wendy to design a tribute tattoo representing my dad’s service in the navy. She did a very cool traditional anchor with dog tags that was perfect. She was not happy with the first placement of the stencil and did it again until she was satisfied that it was right. I will definitely be back for more work!

Rachel did an amazing job on all of our tattoos. I’m obsessed with the way they all turned out. All of the staff were very friendly and offered us snacks while we waited. Definitely want to go back for when I’m ready for my next tattoo!

Love Love the work Austin did for me.I told him I wanted a butterfly and dragonfly that attached to my current tattoo and he created this colorful piece that I am in love with. I get so many compliments on how vibrant the coloring is. ❤️ definitely recommend Austin, and all the staff in the shop were amazing, so friendly and down to earth.

I absolutely LOVE The Cherry Bomb. Ive been tattooed by Wendy. Shes taken my ideas and perfected them. Exactly what I wanted. Austin has tattooed my sister in law and my nephew... great first tattoo experience for him. All the artists there are talented and receptive to your wishes. Absolutely highly recommend!!!

Loved my experience with Austin at Cherry Bomb Tattoo! It was easy to get in contact with them and schedule my appointment. When I got there, the environment and check in process was smooth and friendly. Chill and clean environment. Austin did a great job with my tattoo! Love how he used different thickness of lines to really make it pop! Will come back for my next tattoo, and recommend to all!

I went to Cherry Bomb on a whim after visiting a friends spa in Lees Summit (I live on the Kansas side) and I saw that they were doing walk ins! It truly was one of my favorite tattoo experiences. Their artist Rachel worked with me on a tribute tattoo for my friend who passed away in 2021, and it’s my favorite tattoo to date! I’m sure it can be nerve wracking when asked to trace somebody’s signature, but she did it perfectly! They are great to work with and reasonably priced. I will absolutely be back, and I recommend them to all of my friends!

I had Austin perform my piercings and he is fantastic! Very fast, fun with great sense of humor! He was also extremely knowledgeable and was quickly able to answer some questions I had about an older piercing and made me feel comfortable and relaxed. The entire facility is well kept, neat and clean. Everyone was so friendly and able to help answer questions about some upcoming tattoos we have planned!

Love this shop! Wendy has done several tattoos for me & its obvious she has put her heart & soul into this shop & her work as an artist! I had the privilege to meet Austin tonight for a piercing & he couldnt have been nicer! He kept me calm & talked me thru every step of the process. Thanks so much Austin! Shop was very clean, everyone was very kind & professional. Got a very basic, small tattoo, turned out great. However, even considering post-covid & inflation, this was a bit over priced for the size size of the tattoo & time it took (less than 10 mins of actual tattoo time). So I guess my suggestion is: if you go here make sure its a bigger tattoo so its worth the dollars. The artists are really talented.EDITED TO ADDUnfortunately, this feedback isnt regarding the shop minimum - which I believe is $80 (thats what my daughter was told when she called to check tattoo availability) wouldve been happy to pay it. The artist charged more than what we were told shop minimum was.

Went in as a walk in and was truly blown away by Cherry Bomb. Really cool place from the parking lot to the inside, not a frown throughout the shop! Got my tattoo done by Laura who was absolutely incredible. Love her and her whole vibe. Came in with a good idea of what I wanted, but she brought life to that idea and made it even better, all within a few hours! Will be coming back here for sure, and you guys should too!

I booked a 6 hour tattoo session with Austin. My experience was incredible. The shop is unlike any I’ve ever been to. Clean, welcoming, and the customer service was out of this world. More importantly, the work that was done was amazing. Everyone that I encountered was professional and personable. 10/10.

The shop is clean, and the vibe is great! I had a tattoo done by Nate. He was easy to communicate with leading up to the appointment and easy to schedule an appointment with. During my appointment, he created a wonderful design, and was very patient with me while I figured out the placement. Overall, I’m very happy with the shop, Nate, and my new tattoo! Would highly recommend both Nate and the Cherry Bomb!

Laura or Lolo was wonderful! And so was her husband. We came in at 9 pm and they close at 10. They were so accommodating and got me and my husband in for some really sweet tattoos! Laura made me feel so comfortable and at ease. I haven’t gotten a tattoo in 13 years and assured me that it was going to be great! She was absolutely right. I love my tattoo for all my beautiful babies.

The atmosphere when I walked in the shop was super chill and everyone was super nice. The shop is super clean and organized. (This was my first professional tattoo!)Rachel did absolutely amazing with my tattoo a couple days ago! She was very good at making sure every little detail was perfect, and also made sure I was okay. I would definitely recommend anyone to go see her! I definitely plan on coming back!

9/19/24 Ive gotten 3 MORE tattoos from this shop since the first one I reviewed, and I think its safe to say this is the only shop Ill go to from now on. The atmosphere is top notch and the artists and staff do a great job making sure youre comfortable the whole time you are there. Its always great conversations and good vibes, along with the store always being clean and tidy. Ive gotten tattoos from Wendy, Rachel, and Trenton and they all give superior quality work. The artists there are very experienced and have won awards for their talent. The prices are soooooo good, given the quality, time, effort, supplies, skill, and love they put into their art.Original review- My tattoo is amazing and the vibe here is awesome! I felt very welcome and will absolutely be coming back. Included are pictures of my Friday the 13th tattoo when it was fresh and almost a week later. ❤️

I came in for the pride event! I got flash wonderfully designed by Wendy and masterfully executed by Austin. They let me keep the flash sale price even though I asked for it bigger. They have locally sourced aftercare soap and balm in the shop. I recommend fully.

Been to the Cherry Bomb for both tattoos and piercings. Highly recommend Austin for any piercing you want. Schedule or walk-in, he was fast and efficient, and as painless as possible. Very good to work with.

I attended a Taylor Swift flash event to get a tattoo before the concert. The shop was very clean, very aesthetic, and all the employees were very nice. It was super busy but the workers were very organized and kept the line moving as fast as possible. It was an amazing experience being surrounded by tons of Taylor Swift fans and Taylor Swift music - pretty much a pregame for the concert. I just moved to KC and have been looking for a tattoo shop, and I can’t wait to come back here for another.

I just got my first tattoo done by Lolo and she did an incredible job!! Since it was my first I was very nervous but she always made me feel extremely comfortable and explained everything she was doing. 10/10 would recommend!!

Had such a fun experience for the Taylor Swift popup event with two friends and love how my tattoo turned out. We waited our turn but had fun with other Swifties talking about the weekend. Everyone at the shop was so nice, friendly, knowledgeable about their craft, and patient.

Dropped in on A Saturday for a walk in tattoo, my first impression was this place is cool. Sadly it was a the day after some moron attempted to steal the ATM and failed. My lady and I had a great time hanging out and talking tattoos with other customers and some staff. The atmosphere was welcoming and there were lots of areas to lounge. They have some related swag and tattoo items that are priced really well. The artists we met and that did our work were awesome, Rachel and Austin were working crazy hard and got us taken care of with smiles! Overall it was a fantastic experience with some amazing artists for sure. I highly recommend TCB for any work you want done!Update- 3 tattoos later for my wife and I cannot recommend this place more. We are beyond happy with the scheduling, quality and overall awesome attitudes from the staff and owner here. This is where we will continue to get our work done. The Cherry Bomb Tattoo is the shiznit!

This place is amazing. I walked in and they got me set up right away. Nate Stewart is absolutely amazing at what he does and Ive never been more happy about a tattoo. The attention to detail was amazing and the shading is perfect. I felt so comfortable the entire time and I will definitely be going back.

I walked in with a generic photo on a Saturday. Rachel asked questions about my passed rabbit, Milo, that I was getting this tattoo for. She wanted photos of him for inspiration as well. And Im so happy!It is so much better than I ever could have asked for or imagined. I had an appointment booked with Rachel for a tattoo I’ve been dreaming about, I sent her my drawing of my “inspiration” and she perfected it and put it on my body permanently. I’m absolutely obsessed with it and have already reached out to book another with Rachel. She was super friendly, her work is top notch and she’s very professional and takes her time.The tattoo shop itself I used to drive by to get to work and was so excited to give them a try once they opened and happy I did as I feel very comfortable and welcomed here vs other shops around the city. Everyone I spoke with was friendly and professional!So happy this shop has opened and is a very short drive! Went to Cherry Bomb for a Swiftie tattoo and left finding a new tattoo shop I will go to every time! The shop was so clean and comfortable while we were waiting for our turn. All the artist working were so kind to us all and took such good care of my sister and friend during their first tattoos. So welcoming and sweet. Austin did my tattoo and was AMAZING! I can’t recommend him and the shop as a whole in general. If I ever want another tattoo I will come back!

Nice studio, but my wifes tattoo was done in less than twenty minutes, and was charged 100.00! I can understand if it is very intricate, and was bigger, but for the tattoo she got it was just a little expensive!

My wife and I stopped in for walk in tattoos and had a great experience. We were greeted when we walked in and felt very comfortable. Highly recommend! The entire experience was phenomenal starting with such a cool vibe just walking into the shop. This shop is very clean with cool decor and music. The guy at the desk is super welcoming and checks on everyone regularly. Wendy is just a badass artist, so talented and was able to turn an old tattoo that I was embarrassed by into something beautiful. She is the only artist that I will be letting put artwork on my skin in the future. The other artists were extremely nice and the work they were doing was awesome as well. They hosted a Taylor Swift flash event and handled the amount of people really well on the last day. I have so much respect for them for politely letting us know that they were short a person and would only be able to do a limited amount, and we could stay and wait if we wished! This was so helpful and nobody wants a tired artist! To make up for it stated they would keep the flash sheets and the price! Such a cool idea and makes me want to go see them for all my tattoos! Great location and lots of parking for the space! Can’t wait to get a tattoo from them!

I went Saturday for a flash event. Before the shop even opened, they let us know that they were only guaranteeing 40 people and going from there. They said we could wait if we wanted to still try but they couldn’t promise anything. They were super open and honest the entire process which made me not mind waiting at all. Super amazing people, amazing tattoo. I live out of state and WILL be coming back.

So I came by last minute on Friday to get a helix piercing on both ears. They were so amazing with everything and helped me pick earrings that I just LOVE so much! I recommend them to anyone and I am hoping to come back to get a tattoo done there!

I don’t know a company crazy enough to accommodate a couple hundred Swifties but this one did with the most amazing attitude. They gave multiple updates throughout the day, were efficient and organized though the whole process and even called in a food truck for people waiting in line. The biggest thank you to the couple people running the front desk keeping everything running smoothly and the tattoo artists barely taking breaks to try and fit in as many people as possible. The experience made our concert trip 10x better. A memory we will never forget!

I have been wanting to go to a Taylor Swift flash tattoo event since seeing them happen in other cities she’s been in and I searched on Facebook for one in KC and I am so glad I did!The staff at Cherry Bomb were amazing and kind! I was first in line Saturday and from paperwork, to shave, stencil, placement, tattoo and bandage it took 3.5 Taylor songs! I was so impressed with their efficiency and professionalism! Talking with Wendy who did my tattoo I learned that she is also from Oklahoma and she’s been tattooing for 36 years and how effortlessly she tattooed me I could tell she has crafted her art! My husband who watched was so impressed by how she was tattooing and her tattoo gun! I am absolutely in love with the design they created, and how they allowed you to remove elements from the design if possible, that is was absolutely painless, and that they are keeping the flash sheets and prices available for people to get! I hope they all get some well deserved rest after tattooing 208 swifties in 3 days!! I will be returning for another flash when I’m back in KC!Wendy said that Swifties were the kindest people but her and the staff have us beat!

Got in line early for day 2 of the taylor swift tattoo event. I was 100% prepared to wait the hour and a half for opening. We (myself and the other swifties that were in line) were so happy they opened an hour early to try to get everyone seen! Nate did my tattoo and was so awesome!

Walked in on a Saturday night for a medusa piercing. The wait was much longer than we were told over the phone, which we didn’t mind because the piercer was in the middle of a tattoo. When I was called to pick out jewelry and get pricing ( which they couldn’t give me over the phone or even before I filled out paperwork) all of the pieces I wanted were out of stock. I finally settled on one and got the piercing done. All of the staff was super helpful and nice, the vibe was really cool and pricing was reasonable. BUT, my issue comes two weeks later when my piercing was healing into my lip and super irritated, even after following care instructions per the paperwork. I called and asked if what was going on was normal and couldn’t get a straight yes or no and he told me send him a text and he will refer me to someone where I live. Instead, I ended up going to a shop by my house and they told me not only was it the wrong type of jewelry (curved barbell with a ball on the end) it was also slightly crooked and I was pierced with a 16g, but had 18g jewelry in. I’m super bummed out because I really liked my experience and everyone was super cool, but now I had to pay to get it switched mid healing process, otherwise it would have healed all the way into my lip and had to be cut out. I think everyone here is talented and had good customer service, but maybe go somewhere else for this specific piercing.

Wendy has always been my #1 go to when it comes to QUALITY tattoos. I will never let another person tattoo me at the large scale that I do Wendy because she actually illustrates tattoos to look so realistic. For example, my first tattoo was a hood ornament from my first car, and she made the chrome look so badass and just mind blowing. Wendy is always so sanitary in her work as well! Wendy is so pleasant to work with and will always make her guests feel so comfortable and so safe when they’re with her.

I was in the first group of people on Saturday, about number 50 (they did over 100 the day before so I was confident) and waited in line 3 hours after they opened before they even came out and gave anybody an update. I chose two wait another 2 hours and the line barely moved so we went right down the street to a different shop and were in and out in 10 minutes for only 10 minutes more!

Austin did our dragon tattoos, and we left agreeing we would drive the 8 hours to have him tattoo us again. There’s a lot of meaning behind this dragon, and the fact they had it in their Taylor flash helped make the weekend much more meaningful than just seeing Taylor Swift

Rachel did an amazing job! Some of the best line work Ive seen and only took about 20 minutes for this Taylor Swift flash tattoo.

Such a friendly and welcoming environment. All artists are very talented and willing to answer any questions. And front desk staff is so friendly.

Cant find a better or cleaner tattoo shop in the Kansas City area...Wendy is the owner and she is awesome artist and she only hired the best artist in the area...highly recommend a trio just to see merchandise and her cool shop.
