Pale Horse Tattoo & Piercing

Got a tattoo with Tonya. This was my first tattoo, so was naturally a little nervous. Tonya was excellent. She worked with me to put together the tattoo I wanted and did an amazing job working with me to fill in the details. The tattoo work went by super fast. Will absolutely go back for any future work I plan to get done.

Tonya at Pale Horse is a professional and did an amazing job on my tattoo. All of her co-workers had positive comments on her work! They seem like a great group of people and I will definitely be a returning customer!

Highly recommended!!!! This needs to be your tattoo shop. Steve Dodge is absolutely amazing, he is the only one my wife and I get tattooed by. Pale Horse has many tattoo artist who will fit anyone style, all who are the most talented I’ve ever seen. These tattoo artists would even win Ink Master hands down.

I have been tattooed by Delaney, Halima, and Tonya and pierced by Tonya and all three of them have been fantastic. Delaney has done quite a few pieces on me and has been fantastic in helping me finish my sleeve and is super patient with how wishy washy I am on what I want to have on it. All 3 of them are extremely fun to talk to, knowledgeable, and extremely informative when it comes to logistics of why a tattoo idea will or won’t work in placement/sizing. I have never had a bad experience with any of them (aside from the ouchies that come with being stabbed repeatedly with needles for hours on end LOL). Tonya has done my nipple piercings & my high nostrils and they all are doing fantastic. My high nostrils are still fresh, but they are super cute and aren’t really bothering me at all for being brand new. My nipple piercings I almost immediately forgot I had done because they have been giving me ZERO issues and are honestly healing the easiest out of all the piercings I’ve gotten, including lobe piercings.

If I could give more stars I would! I have been a client of theirs for a few years now and they never cease to amaze me with their kindness and will to make things right, with both tattoos and piercings. Dealing with a artist who moved without telling clients and hasnt gotten back to me on a fully paid, unfinished piece and theyre willing to make it right. I appreciate them a lot of working with me over the years, 120%!

Tonya did an awesome job, got simple tattoos with my siblings but we had a blast. Her setup is extremely clean and professional, I felt very comfortable getting ink.

Payed 150$ for two small finger tattoos the lack of experience was clear after the tattoo was finished she should find a new career choice. Will not be back very disappointed.

Had such a great experience the other night at Pale Horse! Tonya was very informative and honest about what I initially went in for and Amy helped me choose the right piece that she knew I would love. Amy free handed a piece on me that’s absolutely beautiful!! Gary was amazing and calmed my nerves when he was piercing my Tragus! All in all this place is amazing and I can’t wait to go back!

I was tattooed by Jet and my husband was tattooed by Gregg on two separate visits. Both are phenomenal artist. They have friendly staff! When my husband was being tattooed I was able to get my nose pierced by Mitch and a lovely lady (I didnt catch her name). We will be back again! Oh and the new shop is🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥!

The initial consultation held a level of ease and professionalism that is unmatched. Tonya did an AMAZING job on a cover up piece that went way beyond expectations. My experience there, in its entirety, was truly awesome. I will be going back very soon.

I came here for a $50 dollar flash tattoo day. Steve did my tattoo for me. I did not expect some elaborate huge tattoo but I did at least expect it to look like the flash sheet. I told him I wanted it shaded just like the flash and it is very obviously not the same. The black shading is not solid and and the lines are shaky. Even for a cheap flash tattoo this tattoo is terrible.

I am beyond pleased with how Jet reworked my previous thigh tat. I absolutely love the new design and proud to show it off...

So, i just got my elbow tatted and i have one thing to say….they are great! everywhere from the vibe to the tattoo is great. everybody is super cool and easy to get along with. Halima in particular did mine and my girlfriend’s tattoos and she’s been great! we’re very pleased with our experience and plan on coming back everytime we want a new tattoo/piercing!

Very clean and professional atmosphere. Chris Holmen was my artist and he absolutely killed it! I came in with a old ugly tattoo needing coverup and I heard he was the man for the job. Not only did he live up to his reputation, he surpassed it in my opinion! If you’re looking for Black and Gret realism, Chris is your artist!

They got me in same day (2 days before christmas) and assigned me an artist who would enjoy doing my type of tattoo. Artist was excellent. Gave me lots of first timer info, was passionate about doing my tattoo, and gave me an aftercare for idiots breakdown when it was done (thank you!). The atmosphere is super chill and friendly. Going back for my next one no doubt.

I went to Fuji first and was ignored while I stood there waiting for several minutes. So, we decided to try Pale Horse instead and it was a very good decision. I was a walk in and they got me in promptly. The shop was clean and it has a receptionist waiting to welcome customers. My piercer was very professional and pleasant, and though my piercing was a very simple one, Id trust him to do more difficult piercings as well. I will definitely be back! My brother was with me, and he was impressed as well. He is going to come here next time he gets a tattoo.

I just came for a walk-in to get a simple tattoo and they did an amzing job! Very friendly staff as well as talented artists! Victor did my tattoo and was very easy and fun to work with! 10/10 would go here again!!

Had a piercing done by Tony today. The shop was super clean and the staff was friendly and professional. Tony made sure to have me breathe before piercing and asked if I was okay, gave me real advice as to what piercing to get that would match my ear anatomy, what i had in mind at first wasnt really gonna work with how my ear is shaped, something that Ive never experienced before. I cant say enough good things about my experience today. Tony and his apprentice (whos name I didnt catch) made the experience so easy and stress free for my friend and I. The shop was so clean and they used all proper sanitary precautions during our piercings. We were comfortable and well taken care of. As sore as we are from the piercings, we walked out with smiles on our faces. I cannot recommend enough. We will be using pale horse for all of our future tattoos and piercings. This place is amazing, iv had Shelby do 3 tattoos for me and a big tattoo cover up. My wife and I were very pleased with the work done and the establishment in general. Everyone there is very cool and the place is very clean. Would absolutely recommend to anyone looking to get some work done.

Their online scheduling is streamline and super easy.Location was convenient and easy to find.Shop is very clean with many rooms to accommodate privacy.Tony (piercer) was very sweet, professional, calming and accommodating with any and all questions that I had.I had originally attempted to schedule my piercing last weekend but he was having technical difficulties with their autoclave - he was extremely apologetic for the delay in getting me in and taken care of, which I thought was super kind.Great customer service from a great shop.Highly recommend for any piercing needs. ✌🏼💜

Im not going to lie Im a little nervous at first but the staff made it comfortable and easier for me to relax. They are very clean very professional. I definitely plan on going to them for my next piercing. Was a little more pricier than I expected but worth it.

Amazing Customer Service! Everyone was so nice & helpful and didnt make me feel like I was an inconvenience or they didnt want to do their job (like another shop here in town 😒) I had my nose pierced a few months ago at the kinda rude shop & my ring fell out while cleaning it & I tried to just use a cheap one off Amazon 🙈 and it got infected, so I needed a new nose ring and decided to try them instead. I’ve been here previously to change the jewelry of my brow piercing and had a good experience. Wanted to come back this time around because I took my piercing out for a job and it healed up. I was having trouble getting anybody to re-pierce me around my schedule.. Hard to get them to answer the phone at times. I understand being short staffed, but today when I walked in nobody was up front- 2 artists were tattooing in the back- and nobody acknowledged me or told me that they were too busy to take me in. The phone also rang while I was there and it went unanswered. Don’t go for piercing emergencies or be expecting the most stellar customer service.

Shelby gave me and my niece matching tattoos and she ROCKED!! I abousutly love what you did!! I can not wait to see what you do with my other tattoos I get done!! I will come to you from here on out you are one of the nicest coolest tattoo artists I have the pleasure of knowing and thank you for being cool and nice to me!! I have NEVER felt more welcomed and relaxed in a tattoo shop in my life!! They ALL were the most friendly people ever!! The owner I really hate I did not get her name was so nice sat and talked to me like she had know me for my whole life and I had just met her!! Read tons of reviews all for shops all over East Texas. Went for a consultation with the artist I thought would be the right fit. Met him planned my first tattoo with him and scheduled an appointment. This place is AWESOME, clean, professional, and super friendly. Spending many hours there at this point all of the artist are super chill and very professional. Mitch Howie was my choice and he is a rock star. I absolutely love my tattoo and going back for more. He is truly an artist and felt comfortable with him making the call on design recommendations and colors. Trust the process. Mitch is amazing and you will not be disappointed.

Stephen has done my only two tattoos and he absolutely KILLED it both times. I came to him with a simple idea, and he absolutely blew my expectations out of the water. He goes above and beyond for his clients and is phenomenal at what he does. He designed both my tattoos from scratch and executed them phenomenally. I highly recommend checking him out. He is super patient and helpful, and actually cares about his clients, he makes you feel like more than just another customer. It was an absolutely incredible experience and I will be getting more work from him in the future!

This place is amazing! I just keep going back for more! The atmosphere is so fun and friendly but still professional! You feel safe and the artists are all incredible! I got my second tattoo here last year and my 3rd and 4th just today as soon as you walk in you feel comfortable. I have only gotten tattooed by Steve and he is amazing! But, all of the artists have great work in their portfolios. I wont go anywhere else!

This place has over the top customer service. Tonya has helped me so much over the past 3 weeks with trying to finish up all the piercings on my right ear. Im sure Im driving her nuts but you would never know it. Everything is clean, orderly, and everyone is very friendly. The way a business should be run!

My appointment start perfectly on time and it took less time than they predicted so I was always in and out in time! And beyond clean!! I’ve gotten both tattooed and pierced here. Jet did amazing with my forearm scripture tattoo. Very clean lines. Dylan is an awesome piercer! He makes piercing quick yet precise. The shop is clean and well maintained & they ensure all customers leave knowledgeable about aftercare!!! Love this place and will be returning.

It was not a bad place,I went in on 50 dollar friday and she said 3x3 and its barely 2 inches,Ive had it for about a month and its healed pretty well I just wish the line work was a bit better, and I wish I was able to make an appointment when I was there to get a nother one tattoo Im going to try again, thanks

Got my nose pierced by Dylan Thursday night - what a great experience!! I had been told he was awesome and he definitely was. Very professional and made the entire experience fun. Brought 4 girlfriends with me and we all got piercings that night — everyone was totally pleased. Thank you Dylan and staff for being so great!! Well definitely recommend to others.

Got a scripture tattoo on my inner forearm. Shelby was my artist. Have had several tattoos in the past. She is hands down the lightest handed of the lot. I would have zero issues with her inking me again. Atmosphere was great. Place was clean and everyone there was super friendly. Price quoted to me was even less than a lot of other places I had quotes from. Would highly recommend for anyone looking to get ink.

I came in and got pierced about 5 days ago and had a great experience!!! My piercer Tony was so nice and knowledgeable and made me feel super comfortable!! He was fast and efficient with my piercing and I am super happy with it!! Very nice and clean shop too!

Its been a couple of weeks ago. But had an appointment for 4:30, had me waiting in the lobby for 45mins. Was told going to eat first. Then was sent back to do the stencil. Then told me to wait in lobby for them another 45 mins. So they could set up. Didnt start on my tattoo til almost 6pm. Did great work, but expected more work into it than what I got and paid for. Was definitely overcharged. Wont be back. Im usually not one to write a review, but here it is.

Friendly, funny people, and clean professional work. Me and 2 other friends got our first nose piercings and the workers there were just so nice and friendly, and not like fake friendly, they were telling jokes and having fun. Even got a picture with Dylan- the man who did our piercings.He was energetic and very happy, great to be around. Will definitely recommend to anyone wanting a piercing or tattoo!!

Told them I wanted a spine tattoo and proceeded to ask me “why” I would ever get that. They told me they couldn’t do it straight and then proceeded to hand me a piece of paper and told me to try and draw a straight line. These are supposed to be professionals but the fact of the matter is real artist don’t judge what others decide to put on their bodies. Don’t waste you time or money.

I went to get the daith piercing and got it done by Dillon and he did a great job. I was a little nervous but he had such a good personality and talked me through it and kept me laughing the whole time. He is great! Everyone else there was nice also. I will definitely be going back!

Wow. Just wow!!! This is by far the BEST tattoo experience I have ever had. It’s upsetting that it took me 15 years and 16 tattoos to find this place but I will not go anywhere else again!! Anyone I met including the owner made me feel welcome and were friendly. Jet created an amazing custom piece that (fat arms and all) I will display proudly for ever! Been there a few times now. First time was to get a tattoo for me and my wife. Artist Stephen is amazing with a tattoo machine. My only issue is the piercer. Dude self admittedly drinks too much caffeine to keeps his hands steady. Dont go for a piercing, but go for the ink work. Who knows, maybe the dudes apprentice will turn out better.

Had a terrible tattoo that had faded and wasn’t in style. I had very low expectations but thought maybe it could be a little bit better. It has ended up not being just a little better but completely redone and covered with something I love!!! 💚Something artistic and original that I am so so proud of. One of the Artists named Jet recently did an amazing piece for my girlfriends 21st birthday and she couldn’t be happier, this wasn’t the first time we were blessed to have him as our artist! so much detail and precision! The shop is under renovation but they still managed to treat us with great hospitality and made us feel welcome. Mitch was very awesome very descriptive and informative on my piercing and the process he was doing and what to watch for. Definitely will come back. Had a migraine for a week straight nothing helped got my daith pierced and it was immediately gone the relief was so amazing I will definitely come back for all my piercing and tattoo needs!

I went in to get some exotic piercings. Dillons high energy made my experience fun. He was very serious when he needed to be but hyped you up before the event. I just got pierced 45 min ago. I will be going back for more. He is very clean and spends a lot of time sterilizing. He made me comfortable and kept checking on me throughout the whole process. Thanks Dillon!!!!

I went and got my septum pierced on Tuesday and Dylan was absolutely fantastic. He was super energetic and very informative about everything I would need to know about my piercing. 10/10 would recommend. It was a great experience and I adored every minute.

Got a piercing reopened by Dillon dint feel nothing. He does awesome work and is a gentle as can be. Being a mother of one of the artist in this shop this really is heart warming and emotional to see everyone’s nice comments about him. He knows I’m his biggest fan 💙

Dylan is amazing! I got double high nostril piercings done and he took his time to make sure they matched up perfectly. I believe it was $30 for each nose piercing. I decided to upgrade my jewelry ($30 each for what I picked) and also $10 bought after care. After all of that and tip I believe paid $160 in total. The shop was super clean and they had amazing jewelry selection. Dylan is very knowledgeable about his craft and he makes you feel very welcomed as soon as you walk in the door. 10/10 place for piercings!

Stopped in to get a signature tattoo at 10:45pm. Was told they don’t take walk-ins after 11pm. We were the only ones in there. A signature tattoo takes maybe 5 minutes to do. The prep time takes longer. Definitely won’t go back into this place.

Been here twice now, with 2 different artists (because of different style tattoo). And i must say, really hygienic place, very friendly artists and amazingly good work!Would recommend to everyone who wants a tattoo ☺️

10/10 HIGHLY RECOMMEND been seeing Steve for years id follow him anywhere, but glad he’s found a home at pale horse everyone is real cool and extremely talented, Dylan is a hoot definitely adds to the experience. I can’t wait to get back in there for some more work!!!

Today I had a great chill experience at pale horse tattoo the staff was so helpful and knowledgeable . Even in the face of disrespectful customers who did not agree with rules stated. Sierra was so sweet,calm and helpful to the customers !!

Daughter got her 2nd hole peirced on her lobes. The guy & girl he was training did an incredible job of explaining everything to her & the after care. They were gentle, clean & very professional. Its been over a week, and her ears look great!

I wanted a cartilage piercing to celebrate my 50th birthday and Dylan was such a delight! He is professional, has an great attitude, and is so funny! Tonya has an incredible shop and I can’t wait to go back.

Shelby Nowlin did an amazing job! We came in for a walk in and she outdid what we asked for. We couldn’t be happier with how they come out! Her added specialty in STIPPLING truly brought what we imagined to real life. Wish I knew how to post pictures to show it off!!

Got my tattoo done here less than a week ago and it’s already faded to the point where it’s pretty much non existent. Shelby who did it said it would fade but if she would’ve told me it was going to fade less then a week later I wouldn’t have gotten it. On top of that it was $80 then she wanted to charge me another $60 to get it touched up. Then when I told her I wasn’t interested in that because it had been less than a week she just shrugged her shoulders and said sorry. Very disappointed in how all this was handled.Update: owner got back to me with a solution. So glad there was someone there willing to resolve this and be understanding!

I was searching for a Junipurr threadless snowflake end on Google (as no one near me in NC had one available) and one showed up in this shop. I had a few questions regarding the piece and contacted the owner, Tonya. She quickly replied to my questions and immediately shipped the piece to me. I couldnt be more pleased with the transaction.

Got my navel pierced by Dylan and 100% if I could give him 100 stars I would. Amazing service and super funny. Made me feel like I wasnt getting a sharp metal object inserted into my stomach.

As someone who has recieved home tattoos, certified shop tattoos, and competition tattoos; Ive seen only the highest form of professionalism in all of the shops in Longview and Tyler, and yes. Ive been to all of them. Having a deep heritage in tattoo culture (bikers and outlaws) I know the difference between the kids who traced others art and those who drew art as an escape or necessity and were chastised for it on their homework throughout school. I recently received a very small and quite particular tattoo from Pale Horse and was impressed. The script was from a very old Japanese movie and the artists didnt stop searching until everything about the outline was perfect down to the millimeter of placement (my second to last rib on the right). Furthermore, as the stensil had faded, the artist worked diligently and quickly to correct it by doing the priority regions first. Their experience really shown through that night. Hands down the BEST tattoo shop in our area. Cheers guys!

Rhin was absolutely AMAZING!!! She took her time and paid attention to detail and was so pleasant to converse with I stayed laughing from the moment I walked in the door and the atmosphere was electric. Just alot of artist doing what they love and you can definitely tell!

Driving down the highway a maroon/dark red vehicle with this business logo on the back window swerved uncomfortably close to my vehicle, then sped off. I have never personally been to this business, but one of their employees should have their distance perception checked.
