My sister and I just had the most beautiful experience with Josh and Sam. They are the most talented tattoo artists theres no one else that we will allow to put ink on our body. They are patient. They are kind. They use their visions, they respect your visions. Theyre just amazing and theyre loving and beautiful and we cant wait to go back. Thank you again for a wonderful day.

I was a customer of Josh’s for about a year now when he did my first tattoo . I have been wanting to add to my first tattoo so I booked an appointment with him to add angel wings which when I came in he already had the sketch done when I got there. I decided I wanted to do another tattoo and he was accommodating to do the second one as well. He put my needs and wants first. He drew it right then and there. He did such amazing work and they both came out perfect . The place is the best tattoo shop I have ever stepped foot into . They are the nicest and friendliest people I have met. It’s very clean and they are very hygiene friendly . They clean the tattoo shop very well . I am so happy I can get all my tattoos here and many more . I have already recommended every I know to this tattoo shop as they won’t be disappointed.

Josh is an incredible artist, I couldn’t be happier with the tattoo I got in memory of my Nana. He matched her writing perfectly and added some incredible detail. I will definitely be a regular at the Tattoo Jar going forward!!

I really hate posting negative reviews and I’ve been thinking about my experience at Tattoo Jar for months now, it still doesn’t sit right with me. Josh is a very nice guy and Samantha seems nice as well. I just feel the need to share my experience & get this off my chest.I had a specific design, placement and size in mind before I went in, for 2 tiny tattoos in a specific font. I have pretty bad anxiety and I tend to be a bit of a people pleaser, so I somehow got talked out of what I specifically asked for (which I understand is partially my fault). It felt weird to me that when I told Josh what size I wanted, he said “I can’t do that, let’s go way bigger”. I had a specific idea for the font as well, old gothic style. We sat on the couch and he ended up showing me lots of different fonts, including a more nordic font that he said he thought looked cooler. I did like the look of it, so I said why not. (I know how stupid that sounds lol)I know I should have stood my ground, and I did get a gut feeling to leave. But I didn’t because they are a young, cool couple with a small independent business and I didn’t want to be rude.I had these tattoos in mind for over a year. Somehow I walked out of there with completely different tattoos. I know the size and placement were possible, having sent reference photos of people with the exact ones I was asking for….Josh did not prepare the station or open new needles in front of me. Another red flag I should have acted on. He talked the entire tattooing process, which I don’t mind, I love conversation and meeting new people!— except that he would stop tattooing a lot of the time to talk.. he didn’t seem as focused as other artists I’ve been to in the past.He mentioned to me that he does a “deal” to pay 600 for 8 hours. I ended up not doing it because I felt weird about the first appointment and realized I was there for 4 hours for 2 very simple and small tattoos that probably should have been stenciled out before I even got there (I even sent them pictures of exactly what I wanted). I don’t know if I trust the value for time & cost.I wish Josh were honest with me and instead of saying “I don’t do micro tattoos so let me talk you into something completely different”, he could have referred me to another artist that could give me what I was looking for.The whole thing was a little sketchy and I already feel weird writing this whole thing but these thoughts have been on my mind for a long time and I figured they should know so they can better their business and customer service.I don’t fully hate the tattoos I got from Josh btw. He did a decent job. I don’t feel comfortable to go back, and I do feel terrible for even thinking these things but it’s my truth. I tipped well, and I really do wish them well on this venture.

Josh was able to fit me into his schedule much sooner than expected (due to cancellation). His work was meticulous and he took time to explain the process and post tattoo care. I would highly recommend him.

Josh is true OG pro, he and his wife Sam are very personable and enjoyable to chat with. Tattoo came out incredible and is healing. Couldnt be happier.

The one and only tattoo shop that didn’t turn me away when I asked if willing to work on some tattoos originally done elsewhere that needed a makeover . Joshua was very much happy to help out! Has done a great job fixing up. Tattoos still in process of healing. Joshua really takes the time and gives the feeling he really cares!!!! Look forward to going back to get original tattoo done by him. Definitely recommend this shop both Joshua and his wife Sammy who also does tattoo work very personable and welcoming!!!

I found this shop on google and from the very first call i knew they were good. the time they took to speak to my sisters nurse (she’s on blood thinners) and talk us through the designs was above and beyond. josh did my tattoo and samantha did my sisters. both are incredibly talented and kind. you can tell they’re done by two different artists but they’re both have such talent and it’s a nice twist that our tattoos are matching, but also not. we wanted matching tattoos, but we also wanted to look like their own individual tattoos. so very happy with our experience, not to mention i live out of state and josh went above and beyond answering my texts and concerns after i had already left. even contacting me the next day to make sure things were going well with healing. 20/10 would recommend!

An amazing experience with zero complaints. Samantha is a phenomenal artist with a great and professional attitude. I went in for two butterflies and am absolutely obsessed. She did such an amazing job with the fine lines and detail. Already planning my next tattooI got tattooed by Joshua last year and his work was absolutely excellent. Cannot go wrong with either of them! Great location, easy parking and very clean and neat inside. Would highly recommend!

I came into the shop today as a walk-in client. I love my new tattoo! It is small but very meaningful to me.Josh was awesome, walked me through everything he was doing and why he was doing it. What stood out to me the most during my visit today is their passion for all of the arts. They clearly love what they do. I would definitely recommend this place to others. My husband will be going back for a tattoo himself!

I called the shop and asked if they had time for a walk-in for a small piece. Thankfully, they did. Samantha was my artist. She was courteous and professional in helping me pick the font and size of my tattoo. The shop is clean and I parked out front with no issues. The tattoo came out great. Very fine lines and perfect coverage. I will absolutely get more work from Sam.

Artists were very personable, works great with you to make sure you get what you want and makes amazing suggestions but doesn’t try to take over the piece, super easy to get in contact with and set up appointments, nice clean shop, beautiful work. Super helpful in post tattoo care tips and makes sure everything is clearly understood, I will be coming back here for another tattoo.

Joshua was one of the most personable and friendly artists I’ve had do work on me. Not to mention, the piece came out so damn clean. Would recommend this tattoo joint to anyone looking for tremendous hospitality and beautiful work. God bless!

Josh is an excellent artist, gentle and super chill. Amazing at cover ups and taking the extra time so your tattoo comes out perfect.

I walked in to get my first tattoo. Josh helped me and seeing how it was my first he talked a lot about how he was going to do it and reassured me of how it would turn out. Very good pricing and I’m happy with the outcome and will definitely go back for more in the future.

This place is AMAZING!! My mom got a tattoo by Sam, definitely go see her. I inquired about an appointment and shereplied back to me right away and took my mom that day. So nice and so professional. We will definitely be back and will be recommending to everyone we know!

My wife and i have been a customer to josh and sam for about a year now for about 3 different tattoo’s (and many more to come) not only do they both do such amazing work but they are very professional and VERY CLEAN AND HYGIENIC!! I recommend all of my friends and family who want tattoos to come to them, very approachable and nice people and ultimately have the customers wants and needs in mind! I dont see any reason to try any other tattoo shops.Tattoojar4life
