Iron Anchor Tattoo

After reading multiple reviews, I decided to book a session to get a tattoo done here. My family traveled to the area and my sister, mom, and I wanted to get something matching to symbolize the vacation. It went fairly easy except I felt the artist was trying to tattoo my bone. I have tons of tattoos, but this guy was super heavy handed. I didn’t think much about it at the time. Fast forward 3 months and this is it. The artist said he went too deep and it caused the ink to bleed. So instead of giving me a refund, he told me I could come back down there and he would fix it. Why would I do that? He’s 4 hours away and obviously not that great. He said he offered me a solution and will not give a refund. Not I have to go somewhere else and spend who knows how much to get this embarrassing disaster fixed. I understand crap happened, but come on. Have better customer service. Run people, do NOT go to this place.

I’ve gotten a few flash tattoos here and they’ve all turned out spectacularly. The one I most recently got done I jerked and messed it up; 100% my fault pain response. Rather than getting upset or frustrated or blaming me the artist took extra time to add shading and hide the extra line at no extra charge. It looks amazing and I really couldn’t be happier. They also support really wonder causes and I very much appreciate that 😸

Candace got me in super quick! Atmosphere is very relaxing and chill. I was a tad nervous as it was my second tattoo but she was super friendly and chatted with me which made me super comfy. Will be the place to go for my next.

Just got my second tattoo from Mike and I couldnt be more pleased with the finished product. There are a few talented artists here, you wont be disappointed.

Ive gotten most of all my tattoos here!! I love all of them!! Definitely cool place to hang out and get some ink done!! Everyone is really cool helpful and talented!! My daughter got her first two tattoos here and they made her very comfortable!! And shes definitely going back!!

Seemed like a cool place at first. Felt very uncomfortable that the artist that did my tattoo wasn’t wearing a mask. They also seemed really distracted and was over an hour late, even though I made a deposit for that time slot. When I arrived, the artist didn’t even know what I was getting tattooed and didn’t even open up our previous conversation to look at my reference picture. I mistakenly gave them way too much freedom and it ended up turning out nothing like I had asked, which is partly my fault too. But overall, it was a pretty disappointing experience and I will not be going back.

Great people, great artists. Excellent attention to detail. Wife and her sister designed Sister Tattoos with Glen. Seeing his work Ive decided to have him do my club colors! Been around tattoos for many years and I recommend this shop to all comers!

Joe is an amazingly gifted artist, you will not be disappointed! His prices are fair (he could easily charge more, hes that good) and its a very clean environment. He listens to what you want and makes it your own. If you are lucky he will even sing his own made up songs while youre getting your tattoo! LOL My husband and I have both been to see him and we send anyone looking for quality his way. He fills up quickly so you may have to book in advance but its worth the wait!

The tattoo guy was very social and friendly and very clean! My friend and I went for matching tattoos and I got done and he made us leave to the waiting room so he could clean properly and then we could come back. I enjoyed that. Its a little strange to get on the road that leads there but its easy to find once youre on the road.

Awesome work by Bubba Dave Bentley. My husband and I and both of our boys have tattoos from here now and love them. Excellent work and a great atmosphere. Will keep going back. Highly recommend them.

I felt completely safe as Taylor set up for my piercings. Everything was properly sterile and after she removed her gloves, she would not touch the piercing. She gave information on aftercare and told me to contact her if anything ever went wrong. So far, Nothing! Very professional and an awesome place that I look forward to coming back to so I can get a tattoo.

I love this shop. Its clean and friendly, as well as beautiful. You never know what new art you will see on the walls. The staff is friendly and helpful in making your choice. No matter what you want or where, you will always be treated with respect and charged a very fair price for the beautiful art you will recieve. I have 3 tattoos from Joseph Dunmire and have plans for many more in the future, no other artist will tattoo me ever again!!!! Thank you Iron Anchor !!!!!

Bad communication, didnt like my tattoo idea and couldnt even return my call to tell me.

Called to ask if they have piercings. I get a No we dont and go to ask another question. Not even mid question just hung up on. Not even a consideration now for new ink if the staffs like that.

Joe does great work. The shop is VERY clean, and welcoming. Joe does everything to insure a clean enviornment. He listens to what you want and will do just that while adding his own twist to it. He has tattooed me several times, and I have an inprogress. I will never go anywhere else. Need a tattoo in So IL... This is the place.

Such an amazing environment! First time getting myself a tattoo and Candace was super helpful and very patient! Will come back for a next tattoo and highly recommend Candace for sure.

Well, Joes work is amazing! he is fun to talk to, and makes your tattoo experience better. He is over all a great guy! if i hear people talking about wanting a tattoo, i never hesitate to recommend Iron Anchor Tattoo :)

I have gone here for my last 4 tattoos and been very happy with the results. The color holds very well and they are wonderful people to be around. Wont be going to another place any time soon!!!

Joe is the best artist around! He does amazing tattoos. I always recommend all my friends and family to go to Joe for all their tattooing needs! I went in with some ideas in my head for a memorial tattoo after talking with Matt I had my tat figured out he was vary helpful and after he was done with the tat it look amazing I would recommend Matt top notch artist

I just had a tattoo done here. Let me just say a few things. First off I travel the U.S. for work and pleasure quite frequently. So, I have seen alot of shops and artist, right? I happened to see a few pics of David Abeytas work. I was instantly blown away. I contacted him, he sent more pics, same great quality and style. I went done to this shop, prepaid, and set an appointment. Went in and got the most quality tattoo money can by. Honestly, he far surpassed any expectation or standard I even created for myself. I can not say enough good things about David Abeytas quality of work/art or his character. Great guy, throwing down the best work in the state of New Mexico! Thanks again!!!!!!

I was tattooed by the owner. He is very personable and has amazing customer service! Only thing I could possibly complain about is he is too fast lol I wanted another one immediately after he was done cause it didnt fill my tattoo want for some reason unfortunately he was booked the rest of the day

I went in for my touch up while I was visiting from California, Glenn completely sent me off acted like he was busy with other tattoos that day when he wasnt, and left about 20 min after I was there and never came back.... I hate a liar...I shoulda asked Joe to hook me up but he wasnt there and the other artist seemed like he didnt want to be bothered...I had it at five stars til a few months ago when this happened...

Very clean place, Matt the owner of the shop was very friendly while talking with my daughter, we stopped in to find out if they offer internships to students, my daughter is a very good artist and interested in tattoo artistry. 😊

Watch out! Joseph Dunmire is a bootlicker for the local police. He cannot be trusted. Avoid his shop with extreme prejudice.

Went here 3 years ago for a tattoo cover up and I still receive compliments on it today on how beautiful my butterfly is. Wish I lived closer I would go again!
