Went here to get a cover up I have been wanting for years. I finally did and was so excited. The person who did my tattoo was nice and I liked the design he picked, I went into this thinking I was getting a full color tattoo. He was showing me the progress throughout the process as well and it was looking good. Well at the end I see it and at first glance it looks good but it was so red and puffy I couldnt really tell but it looked okay. I was excited. Well within the next few hours the swelling goes down but boy did the pain kick in. My skin was so over worked the color in Groot is not filled in even stitch isnt fully colored. You can see the tattoo thats supposed to be covered this was not worth 400$ Im very upset

Cat did two of my tattoos in one day! She is absolutely awesome!! She is light handed, down to earth just all around an amazing person. I’m so glad I got her as my artist! She deserves more than 5 stars! Of course the shop and the atmosphere was great! I’ll definitely be going back to Cat to get her to do any of my tattoos from now on!!

Johnny was awesome, highly recommend! He did a memorial sunflower tattoo on 4 of us. He was patient with us while we deliberated on our design and incorporated custom features for us, and most of all he was kind.

My husband and I went in today to get some tattoos for our kids. Bob did an amazing job! We had an idea of what we wanted when we walked in but Bob really helped us figure out exactly what we wanted. He was honest and open about how it would look it it was too small, or placed too close to my husband’s existing tattoo. We will definitely be going back for our next tattoo!Brooke (NOT Brooks!) did my bellybutton piercing and he did great. I had my bellybutton done years ago but it was off center. Brooke took the time to make sure it was center. It was quick and painless.

I HIGHLY do not recommend this place. I got 2 tattoos one on each wrist by the tattoo artist who was a complete douche and rude in my opinion.... They also got infected by doing the regimen he recommended for two weeks! I went to Creek House Tattoos and got my next tattoo, Ill never go anywhere but that place again! He told me something different then ANY OTHER tattoo shop in this area (do not use antibacterial soap YALL) just put Aquaphor on your tattoo A GOOD BIT SO IT LOOKS GREASY for two weeks straight, do not wash it, let water rinse over it, and let it heal up! I did this on my infected tattoos from 100 proof and in like 3 days they were healed up and gone!

The people who work there are very good at what they do. The owner is a great guy and easy to talk to.

My father got a tattoo done by Bernie and he couldn’t be more happy with how it turned out! Bernie was very professional and insanely talented. Staff and owners are exceptional.

Went here with my friends for a walk-in tattoo. It was basic, Roman numerals. The shop was clean and the people were cool. Anywho, the tattoo is pretty faulty. Fine at first glance and far away (like when I looked in the mirror afterwards). The tattoo is missing ink in spots, some letters touch some don’t; all are different sizes. Some have serifs, some don’t. I’m a little over two hours away from the shop, so I reached out over email with pics. The shop was initially nice and responsive. Told me to check back after it was healed and they will make it right. Well, I did, and that was two weeks ago and I haven’t heard another word.

Thank you to Johnny for giving my mom and I matching tattoos during a walk-in. Everyone was polite, helpful and kept the environment clean!

Bob did really good with my tattoo on the inside of my forearm healed very nicely with no issues I love it highly recommend its still looks like it was done recently with how pigmented the writing is everyone was really nice and laid back will definitely be back in the future to get more tattoos

Im not from the area. I was in the area on business and was looking to get a tattoo to help kill some of my time. They do walk ins, and thats what i was looking for, due to only being here for a short time. Walked in, asked questions, put a deposit down and they were able to schedule me 5 days later. Very friendly atmosphere. Bernie was great made you feel comfortable. If I am in the area again, I may have to stop in and get another tattoo from Bernie..... thanks again much appreciated.

My artist was Bob and he was great! He took a little bit of 2 different references that I gave him and in return gave me something I can cherish for the rest of my life. He was very professional and took extra caution with the pandemic protocols. He is an amazing artist in general but definitely specializes in characters. Hands down would recommend him and this shop again and again!

Brooke was a wonderful piercer and very attentive. He made sure the placement was 100% perfect and walked me through the process. Piercings were fast and virtually painless. Totally recommend!

Took my daughter to get her nose pierced for her birthday. The staff was very nice and professional. After making sure the paperwork was taken care of the tech communicated well with my daughter and it went quickly. Overall we were very happy with the service that was provided, highly recommend.

I came in today and had this tattoo done by Rob! He did an amazing job helping me figure out exactly how I wanted it to look and took his time doing everything really, really well. The tattoo came out way better than I even imagine in my head! I will definitely be coming back here in the future !

OMG I Love Serenity, she did a beautiful butterfly tattoo for me I came in with a small idea of what I wanted and she was very patient and understanding with me. The butterfly I came in with was something my nephew got outta a gumball machine. (Not very pretty) so she drew something much better and I loved it so much I went back the next day for another tatt. She doesnt know yet but Im coming for a cover-up soon 🤣🤣P.S. Will update photo of butterfly after healing to give final look color.Yes, the butterfly is on my chest if anyone wanted to know.

Pro: Piercings are great! Healed wonderfully, and well priced. Friendly piercer.Con: for lack of better words.. the most horribly obnoxious, middle aged, pink haired lady, playing behind the counter and wandering around the shop like a lost toddler.-TLDR: great place to be in and out of. Too unruly and discomforting to consider getting a tattoo here.

Great service, great prices, and great people. I went in to get a tattoo updated and to have some added to it. The artist (McKenzi) drew something to match my existing tattoo and adjusted it until I was happy.

I’ve gone there twice now, reasonable prices, great work, super nice staff. Rob did a piece for me back in 2022, came back today, to get 2 pieces done by Johnny. Will be heading back in a few weeks, for Johnny to continue working on my Acacia Strain sleeve.

Brooke the piercer was AMAZING! I was so anxious to get my nipples pierced but he was so understanding and talkative the whole time! It was such a fast process. Highly suggest getting a piercing from them.

I got my Breaking Benjamin tattoo touched up and more added onto it. An amazing job was done and now it does not look so plain and the logo does not look like it was colored in by at 4 year old coloring for the first time. Thank you so much!

Got my very first tattoo done here recently. It’s barely a week old and I’m already in the process of getting it removed. I knew what I wanted going in and he talked me out of making it as long as I had wanted it to be, using the excuse that I could add to it later (when I knew I didn’t want anything added to it later). This made it MUCH shorter than I initially imagined. The tattoo goes down my spine and it is not even straight up and down. None of the lines are straight, it’s a disaster. Went to another artist to see what they could to fix it once it’s healed and they heavily implied that I should just cover it. Which is out of the question since this tattoo was supposed to mean so much to me, which is why I came to the incredibly hard (and expensive) decision to just have it removed. My wedding is in less than a year so I have to try and get this tattoo removed as much as possible before then. Overall, I would not recommend. Find another shop who will listen to what you want and won’t talk you out of the tattoo that you’re dreaming of.

McKenzie is an amazing artist who salvaged a half finished tattoo I had done elsewhere. It’s now something I love to look at and show off! Clean shop and great staff! Brooke did my nose piercing and he was gentle and careful. Making sure my piercing was the right fit and comfortable. Love this place and will be coming back for all future work!

Customer service was great at the shop, and Rob did an amazing job with my tattoo. He took the time to make sure the design/coloring was exactly what I wanted as he worked on it and the tattoo turned out absolutely beautiful! I will be going back in the future!

Stopped in yesterday for two quick tattoos with Josh S. Shop was very clean and everyone was super friendly and helpful. Josh did a great job and I couldn’t be happier with how both of mine turned out. Price wasn’t too bad either. Would highly recommend 100 proof and plan to return here in the future.

Wouldn’t recommend scheduling appointments for tattoos here unless you want to be treated as a walk in when you show up for your appointment. Came in for a walk-in a couple weeks ago and got a simple tattoo & my girlfriend & I scheduled an appointment with a deposit to come back the following Saturday. The tattoo artist we talked ideas & scheduled with tested positive for Covid so they called and we rescheduled to the next Saturday at the same time. We show up today & our artist is just starting a decent size piece with another client. After talking with him, we agreed 3/330 would work even though we agreed 12 on the phone when we rescheduled. After killing some time and doing a few things, we show back up at 330 to him again getting ready to start on another client he apparently had an appointment scheduled with. The thing is, he told us he had an appointment on a simple tattoo at 230 but when we showed up at 330 he wasn’t even in the shop & was just walking in to meet with them. So after he essentially wasted a whole saturday of ours, I decided to just get the deposit back and leave. Easily one of the worse shops I’ve been to as far as communication. Sadly my small tattoo I originally got needed to be touched up but considering we wasted a whole day with a deposit and scheduled appointment, im glad to take my $$ elsewhere. 💯

I highly recommend 100 Proof Tattoo to anyone looking to get a tattoo or piercing as Ive had both of these things done here. Theyre always welcoming and willing to provide comfort and satisfaction for whatever your wants/needs are! Travis did a red ink, cursive writing piece on the side of my hip and it looks amazing. It was my first tattoo, yet he made me feel like Ive had hundreds done. Brooke has done my piercings before and also did an excellent job as well as answered all questions! I never leave with any doubt.

Was extremely impressed with Brook their piercer. We only came in for jewelry and not expensive jewelry at that. He was kind professional and attentive. Even put the jewelry in for both my husband and I...eyes not being what they once were it was extremely helpful.

Brooke did my nipple piercing and was very professional! Everything was new and clean. The drive for me is an hour and a half from where I live and it was well worth it. Not a long wait time and their shop is beautiful and very spacious.

My wife and I had tattoos done here, and the artist are great! We had a basic description of what we wanted done and both artist instantly began working with us and together to draw up exactly what we wanted. We were quite nervous, but felt comfortable as soon as we walked through the door. It was a great experience for us, so glad we chose 100 proof!!!

I have been looking around and wanting a septum done for a while. This was my “mama break” after a year of pandemic virtual schooling. KBrook came highly recommended and I decided it was worth the hour drive. I called the day before to schedule an appointment to get my septum done, was informed it was walk in only. So, the next day I got my childcare arranged and did my hour drive. I got there around 2 (they open at 11) and he wasn’t there. Which they told me I might have a small wait on the phone yesterday. No big deal. He gets there after I waited a short amount of time and told me he couldn’t do it because he ran out of clamps and they were all in the autoclave and could do it after 6 that day or on Tuesday when he gets back. He was genuinely apologetic and offered a discount and I understand these things happen. But I would think that maybe taking appointments would help prevent this situation. I mean he did enough piercings from 11-2 that he ran out of clamps? If I would’ve had an appointment at the very least they could’ve called and let me reschedule. So I guess you should call before you leave home and make sure he has enough equipment for however long it’ll be until you get there so you don’t get turned away. Disappointing experience and I won’t be going back since it’s a long drive and I can’t make an appointment to guarantee I’ll be seen.

I went to 100 proof after seeing on of my best friends tattoos that she had recently gotten there. The detail was on point and it looked amazing. When I walked in to make my appointment I was helped immediately and everyone there was very professional. When it came time from my appointment the artist I was to have do my tattoo had a family emergency and wasnt able to come in. However it worked out well. The men there were amazing about the situation and got me set up with another artist who did my tattoo that day! I was very pleased with 100 proof and will be going back to get more tattoos😊. The professionalism, cleanliness of the building, atmosphere and all around good nature of all of the artists there make the experience enjoyable and leaves you wanting to go back to them for more!

I have had on all visits to the shop, the most amazing treatment!! Josh has done 2 tats for me, 1 for my daughter, 1 for my fiance and did my mothers very first tat!!!! DJ is an awesome guy and you know we had to buy shirts so we can be out representing, even got one for our 5 year old to support too!! Went to 100 proof for my first tattoo 5 weeks ago. Spoon was my artist. He did an AMAZING job. I absolutely love it. The place is clean, well organized and the staff is friendly and very helpful. I went in originally to get a different design on my foot, and they explained why the one i had wouldnt be a good foot tattoo. Which i found awesome, because they could have done it and eventually not look as good, but they explained everything and i chose another one that i wanted. Will definitely be going back in the future!!!!! You guys are AWESOME!!!!

Ive been here several times and I love their work! Even when there was a mistake made (which sometimes happens, even with the best of artists) D.j. made sure it got fixed, plus some. Travis is wonderful and I would go to him again and again! All the staff here are pleasant and make you feel at home. Wonderful place to go in all aspects. The shop is clean, they open all the needles right in front of you, etc. Theres so much I could say about this place and the staff but Im sure youll find out on your own when you go see them yourself! Had an appointment today to get some work done and found out that the artist that was supposed to do it was out sick. Serenity took over and did some of the best work Ive ever seen. I am so happy with the way it turned out. I will go back to get much more done. The shop was clean, everyone was friendly and made tou feel like you were welcome. If youre looking to get your first tattoo, or your hundreth, this is the place to go.

I had Rob and he was absolutely amazing. He really took my vision and fused it with an old tattoo mine. Turned out better than I Imagined. He was patient and creative and really made the experience fantastic plus was very detailed. I would highly recommend this shop to anyone.

He takes his job and your health very serious, which is why I keep going back to him. My husband has got 4 tattoos done there and they turned out great and healed beautifully! 100 proof is hands down the best tattoo shop around. I recommend them to any and everyone. My entire family has been going to the artist here for years of work, tattoo dates, and enjoy every second were in there! I go to college 6 hours away and still refuse to get my tattoos done anywhere else. I will gladly make the trip when I think of something new I want! Love them!

Saturday morning trip for a piercing. Staff was all friendly. $50 for navel piercing and the ring, super reasonable. Was helped right away, and the piercer was professional and friendly. In and out in 15 minutes, and the upside is this is a GREAT, very cool facility and very clean!

Every time I’ve come here everyone has been so nice and helpful! I was totally freaking out about getting my septum done but I was quickly reassured and it went so smooth! Prices are good too! I would 100% recommend coming here!

Got a calf piece done by Dutch and he is phenomenal. He pays attention to detail and gives you such great work for an amazing price. Very comfortable atmosphere and clean environment. Friendly and will definitely be back to get more work done by him.

I got my first tattoo here, of my babys footprints. I was very nervous, but they made the experience better than expected. I was nervous when my fiancé got the same exact tattoo done the same day… mine took 45 minutes and his took 5 hours. His turned out a lot better than mine, and had a lot more detail to his..I believe jimmy did his and josh did mine.

Ive never actually gotten a tattoo here.... YET :D I will though for sure. My girlfriend brought me in here on our first date, and introduced me to Corey, Brandon, And Dj! They are all so nice and welcoming. They are like one big great family. The google tour of the shop is on point! The shop is SO nice. These guys put there heart and souls into their work. I know anyone who gets a tattoo from here is lucky and will have the best work done to them. Love you all !

Josh S. did microblading on my eyebrows. They are awesome looking, The process was fully explained. The artist did a great job filling in and shaping my brows. The studio also had the best pricing around. I highly recommend checking 100 Proof out!

I highly recommend Dylan, especially if it’s your first tattoo. He’s done 3 tattoos for me so far. I live in Richmond VA and will make the drive just to see him. He’s supportive of what you want and won’t start the actual tattooing process till it’s positioned PERFECTLY! 10 outta 10 would recommend.Also bonus : I got my tattoos with him a year apart and he remembered everything I told him a year ago and that felt really nice. So idk how far customer service goes in the tattoo world but if you had 6 cats and told Dylan each ones name and saw him 5 years later he’d probably remember every single one and their birthdays.

This place is awesome! Great tattoo artists, fun atmosphere and theyre always doing charitable work for the community and causes that mean something to them. First class work and the shop is owned by an awesome guy that actually cares about his customers and community and constantly gives away gift certificates for his shop. Not many tattoo shops do that! I havent visited 100 Proof yet, but I can guarantee that I will go to them for my next pieces. I am so impressed with the customer/follower interaction on Facebook. Customer service/satisfaction seems to be important to the staff and owners. The virtual tour just makes me want to visit sooner than planned. They have taken a large industrial-like space and made it warm and welcoming. I appreciate the eclectic collection of furniture pieces and artwork. Its varied and colorful, but not tacky or tasteless. Compared to other shops, its much more welcoming and comfortable-its a space that you want to spend time in (as opposed to looking around the shop and wanting to run out). Best of luck to this business. I feel that they are well on their way to being THE premiere tattoo shop in the 4-state region.

I got my 2nd holes done in my ear. I was very nervous at first, but Brooke did a very good job at piercing and helping me calm down. He was very informative and helpful, and I cant wait to come back to get my 3rd holes done!

I’ve been tattoo’d by four different people. Travis so far is my favorite simply because of personality. A lot of people don’t know how to keep the conversation going and he does. Some people probably don’t like to talk while getting tattooed But I do so it made my experience even better!He had all his tools there unopened for you to see that they are sterile. He wore gloves the entire time and did a great job. He made sure that I also had a after care sheet afterwards. Really happy with it!

Rob is my new favorite artist. He demonstrates the skill and quality I expect from a tattooist. Thanks for taking care of my wife and I during our visit, Im just out of the chair and already thinking about when Id like to schedule my next appointment.

I have had my nipples pierced here and today started a full sleeve tattoo. The folks here are friendly and awesome and made sure that the work I wanted done was done to my satisfaction. Just found my new home base for getting more ink.

I ended up hearing about them and didnt think I would like them so I tried to earn a gift certificate, I won and ever since then I will NEVER go to another tattoo shop! They are clean, nice, friendly, and sweet. They do a lot for their staff and their community!! I would recommend this shop! So go check them out!

I had scheduled an appointment with Aaron and he has been my best artist yet! (I’ve gotten previous tattoos) The tattoo parlor is clean and the staff are nice and help you with whatever you need. I’m coming back here to see Aaron again.

Hands down the CLEANEST shop I have ever been in - and Ive been in some nice shops in my day! The entire staff was friendly, professional and the work was freakin SICK!! Talent flows at every single station, and yes, I looked! My husband and I both got inked, and I (we) will never go to another shop - even though there are plenty that are a lot closer. I had Aaron and he was absolutely amazing. He really took my vision for my tattoo and made it come to life. He was patient and creative and really made the experience fantastic plus he was super quick. I would highly recommend this shop to anyone.

I came in to purchase nipple rings because the ones I had I was having a negative reaction to. The environment was extremely positive and the staff were very helpful and so sweet. The piercer explained everything to me about the body jewelry and how to keep up with it to try to make it better.

I have never had the pleasure of getting a tattoo or piercing at 100 Proof Tattoo, but i plan to in the near future. I know many peope who have gotten tattoos from 100 proof and it always looks fantastic. The owner is extremey generous in everything he does. I follow the shop on all social media accounts and i love seeing all of the work they do! I would highly recommend this shop for all of your tattoo and piercing needs! I came here for my first tattoo and had a great experience! I waited almost two years to finally get my tattoo while looking at several different shops then easily decided this is the place i wanted to go once i saw their work. I saw tj and he did a phenomenal job; i have been impressed with all of the work ive seen artists in this shop put out. I will definitely be returning for more!

I apologize for the length of this review in advance. Its kinda a long story. I came in as a walk in and was very grateful that they fit me in that day, as I had driven 40 minutes to get there. Very simple tattoo, the word fearless with the L being replaced with a lime green ribbon. After the tattoo artist was done, the ribbon was yellow, very clearly yellow. I asked that he add more green, because thats what I had asked for. His solution was to pour green ink directly onto my skin and rub it in with his fingers! Not needles! His fingers! And sent me on my way saying that touch ups are free and if the color came out, to come back to have it fixed. So, I waited about a month to let the tattoo heal completely before going back to have it fixed. Yesterday, i called the shop and asked to make an appointment for today. I was told Id get a call back from the artist to let me know if hed have time (this is a 15 minute fix, maximum) At 330 today, I again called the shop and was told that he wouldnt have time today. Ok, cool. Ill wait another week. I asked the woman who answered the phone if I could schedule an appointment for next Sunday. She said that Id have to come into the shop to make the appointment. Are you kidding me? Im supposed to drive 80 minutes, round trip, to set an appointment with a guy who screwed up my tattoo!? I would understand such a rule for those scheduling a new tattoo, deposit and all. But this isnt the case! The artist didnt do his job, opted for the lazy way out, and I ended up with a tattoo that is completely the wrong color! This place doesnt care about customer service! I will never recommend this place, nor will I come again.

I love the space here! Great atmosphere and vibe, very sanitary!! I have only been here once but will be back for sure! I had nautical stars done by Seth on my hands to cover up shamrocks that I did myself at 15 years old. I now love my new hand tats and no longer feel like I need to hide or cover them!!!

I’ve recently got the most painful tattoo out of all my tattoos I’ve gotten so far by josh before Covid started. He is a great artist and worked with me even though I kept moving the whole time. I had a great experience getting my tattoo and getting it touched up.

Bob did an amazing job on a couple animated pieces for my father and I. Light handed and talented! Also got my septum pierced for half off and Brooke did a great job with that. I hardly felt a thing!

Dutch was amazing Im absolutely in love with mine and my dads father daughter tattoos, he was friendly and really funny. Will be coming back to him for future tattoos. The shop was amazing also, overall I absolutely loved it there.

I was there the other day and got a super simple tattoo, I had only heard good things about this shop and am extremely disappointed all the lines are wonky some are thicker where he messed up as well as the lines aren’t straight. I already have an apt with my artist in va for him to fix the absolute mess that was left on my body. I have over 50 tattoos and know how things should be done. this is the worst hack job and for an absolutely rediclus price. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE.

I got a cartilage piercing here about 2 months ago and it wasn’t even pierced correctly. it was crooked and the back wouldn’t sit flat on my ear so it started to embed in my ear and wouldn’t heal at all. it started to get worse so i tried to change it to other types but the way it was pierced was so horrible that it was impossible to even get any other type in it right. i honestly don’t recommend getting a piercing here because it was a waste of time and money.

I worked with Josh on a half sleeve. The group is professional, proficient, and streamlined. The artists are knowledgeable and can answer most any questions you have about the tools & work. Would recommend to anyone.

I got back into the tattoo world about 6mths ago. So glad I decided to pick 100 Proof. Everyone is always ready to help with anything I need. The shop is always full with guns running. Reading this review isn’t going to do any good for you. You must found the time to stop in and then you will get a clear picture of what I’m trying to say.

What ever you do dont give these guys your money! I met with an artist name josh. I talked to him for a couple of mins to see what he could do with a cover up. thought he had a good idea what i wanted so i made an appointment to come back the following Tuesday. But work called and said i needed to be somewhere else Wednesday so i had to cancel my appointment. NO WORK had been done at this time and both Josh and the manager told me tough s()!T your not getting your $50 deposit back. after pleading with them for a few mins they said i dont care what happens in your life no refunds on your deposit.Response to owner:that’s funny because when I came in to attempt to get my money back the artist was already working with someone else during my supposed time slot. So it seems to me you guys just wanted a free $50 dollars.

I loved it went in for my fifth tattoo and it came out wonderful. Everyone there was very nice and friendly. Dylan did mine and my sisters tattoo and he talked you dont get that from a lot of places. Thanks a lot guys Ill be back for another one hopefully soon .

This shop is absolutely amazing... Between being clean, and having impeccable customer service.. The shop is amazing they have some amazing artists and some amazing owners... I have 4 tattoos by 2 different artists that work at 100 Proof Tattoo... 3 of my tattoos I got from Seth and they are a series of Skulls and 1 tattoo I got from Josh on my Rib.. I have to say that this place is the place to go for your tattoo.. I will be going back here whenever i want another tattoo and no where else.. I would recommend this place over any other place.

Doug the Tattoo guy quit on me with no call no show. He was almost finished my tattoo. Tj stated he would pick up where he left off which was great. Made appointment for 3 months later and the day before my appointment, tj messages me (never called me) and states he has shoulder doctor appointment and reschedules for later that day. This was fine but when later came around , he texted me and stated he was sick. Stated we could do Sunday. Claimed he was still sick Sunday. Was in Monday and when I attempted to call, desk lady stated he was with client. Attempted to text him, and turns out he has blocked my number. This guy is flakey and if he decides he doesnt want to, he blows you off. Avoid this place and staff.

These people right here are nice people. I have gotten 3 tats here and everytime I walked in the door they made me feel like an old friend. I will be an inkling for life. Thank you guys for making me feel welcomed. Yeah the tats look awesome too.

Went in for a minimalist butterfly tattoo and although it was stenciled Matts work came out looking like a childs drawing. Luckily, Ethan from Drawin Attention Tattoos was able to fix it for me wonderfully.

My long time artist, Jimmi recently moved shops. Me being a loyal customer to him I was willing to make the travel for his new shop everybody in the shop was very very friendly EXEPT the new girl at the front desk with blonde hair, lots of attitude looked me up and down like I was a child and not meant to be there, even took my id and laughed with another co worker about it for some odd reason the only way I would recommend this place is to book your appointment with Jimmi! Best artist in the whole tri state area all other artists at 100 proof are sub par and mediocre. (No offense )
