Uprock Midland- Tattoo, Piercings, Skate, and Smoke Shop

Took both of our babies (one last year, the other yesterday) to Uprock to get their ears pierced. Both times they were extremely professional, patient, and gentle. I would highly recommend this shop! Overrall great people!

We brought in our 8 year old to get her ears pierced for her birthday. The process was quick and painless. No tears! The piercer was great and lessened the anxiety for my daughter. Nice and polite people! Thank you!

Wife and I showed up last minute on Saturday for some spur of the moment tattoos. The shop had barely opened and Sonny got us in very quickly and did a phenomenal job! He was very energetic, charismatic and made us feel like family. Will definitely be coming back for more Ink in the future! Highly Recommended!

Today I decided to get my nose pierced on a whim. When I arrived at Uprock, everyone was so friendly. The girl behind the counter answered all my questions and was so kind. The store was clean which was also important to me. Sonny gave me my piercing and did a great job! It was so quick and done well. It barely even hurt. I would recommend anyone go to Uprock! It was a great experience.

My co-worker and I wanted a new piercing. Not being from the area, we relied on reviews. The reviews did not disappoint. Sonny was extremely personable and inviting. He makes you feel comfortable and honestly makes the whole process easy and painless. You will not regret letting him do your next piercing. My sister had gotten a nose piercing from Uprock and I instantly wanted one. I ran a few minutes late to my appointment, but Sonny was super understanding. Sonny was very friendly and super funny! The piercing was very quick and painless. I’ll definitely be going back to Uprock for future piercings and tattoos.

I enjoyed my visit. Sunny made me feel extremely comfortable piercing my septum and sizing my ears. He made me feel really relaxed and talked to me throughout the whole process to get my mind off the actually piercing. I was really nervous about the amount of pain the septum piercing would have caused, but I powered through it thanks to him. I definitely recommended this place to anyone looking to get a piercing or a tattoo and I plan to get some ink done later in the near future by Sunny.

Artist was very friendly and applied the perfect amount of pressure for the ideal tattoo result/healing process. The place had a wonderful laid back vibe while maintaining complete professionalism. Got my second lobe piercings and double helix. LOVE IT!! I felt so comfortable and it was great experience. I was talked through it and it wasn’t even too bad pain-wise(expected worse). Very friendly and clean. It’s great. 10/10 🤭

Went in for a few piercings and had a great experience! Staff and Sonny are friendly & profesional. The shop is cool and clean, which made me choose this place for my piercings. AMAZING service and staff!!!! I have always had a good experience at Uprock with my piercings, but the tattoo experience COMPLETELY exceeded my expectations! Went in to get my daith pierced. The guy that rung me up was super nice and professional. Got my cleaning spray too. Sonny did my piercing, be was really mice as well. Did it quickly. I ended up having to go back a few days later because my ball had come unscrewed. He was able to put it back on, no problem. I will definitely be back for tattoo/piercing needs!

We took my 7 yr old niece in to get her ears pierced, and she panicked and started to back out the moment we walked in. The staff was super nice and patient with her. They let her come and watch me get my ears pierced. When it was her turn she started panicking again, but once again the patience was so great. He talked to her the whole time that she didn’t even know the first ear had been pierced. I highly recommend!!!

Omg! Got the most wonderful Lorax done on my forearm this week! 1000% recommend this place! My artist, Richard Lopez, was amazing - sketched up what I described and set an appointment time for me, not heavy handed at all with the tattoo gun, colors came out vivid as heck, lines are super clean, whole piece is on point! All of the staff was friendly and knowledgeable, shop is clean and well kept, cannot wait to get my next piece done! Moved here from Houston, so it was a big leap going to someone new and totally worth it! When something you have in your head and heart comes to life on your skin perfectly its priceless, and he nailed it!

We got finger tattoos and everyone knows those are so hard to maintain…but the ink was coming off the same day. A week later half of it had already scratched off. He also did a touch up on a previous tattoo i had in my wrist and completely botched one of the letters…and i loved this tattoo☹️the front desk person was so sweet and the guy was cool but if his work is a reflection of the place itself…i would NOT recommend.UPDATE:One of the artist reached out to me shortly after this review to see if i was interested in letting him try and redeem my finger…and i went for it! Thank goodness I did! Not only did i meet Richard but i met the owner Sonny who was SUPER nice and both made my 2nd experience so worth it!I recommend going to See either Sonny or Richard for your next tattoos!!! they are so awesome! Got an industrial piercing done in my left ear, fast and efficient. Was very nice and made sure I wanted what I was asking for especially cause this was my first piercing. Went with a friend to get a nose piercing before and always professional as well as personable and nice. Sunny did my industrial and Micheal did my friends nose. Both done well and made sure we knew they were there anytime to answer questions or help with anything.

Took my 12 yr old daughters in for their birthday to get additional ear piercings done for them and the entire staff was so nice! I got my daith done so they could watch the process and they got additional lobe piercings and a helix. Sonny made the girls feel very comfortable and it was just an overall great experience. This business doesnt want your business. They are very rude and overcharge for simple services. I took my oldest daughter to have her ears pierced and they charge $150.00 for 5 minutes of their time. I would not have paid that much but did not want my daughter to have any issues with her ears like I have because I had my ear pierced by a gun instead of a needle. My daughters ear have done great, so my younger daughter wanted to have her ears pierced so I took her in and the lady was once again rude. (that is their standard) She then said it would be $200.00 to have my younger daughters ears pierced. I should walked out, but my younger daughter has asked for six weeks straight to have hers ears pierced, so we were there and we already had all of the paperwork completed. So I paid and we went back to have her ears pierced and my daughter became hesitant, but really wanted her ears pierced so she got up in the chair and then chickened out. The lady never once tried to comfort her or be nice at all to her. I asked her if I could get a refund, since she never touched my daughters ears, she said, I will give you $100.00 back. So she kept $100.00 for doing nothing. The least she could have done was say when your daughter gets ready I will write down that you have a $100.00 credit towards her piercings. This place is awful just stay away.

Definitely recommend UpRock if you’re looking to get a piercing! I walked in on Friday 3/12 looking to get my septum pierced but I was still a little bit nervous before doing it. Sonny was great and really made me feel comfortable about the whole process. Aftercare instructions were informative and they answered all my questions. Ten out of ten would recommend!

I have gotten my nose and my tongue pierced by the same lady in the Midland shop and loved the experience both times. She was friendly, professional, and put my mind at ease because I was nervous. Not to mention the piercings were painless for me but I know everyone has different thresholds for pain. Highly recommended them for your next piercing.

I got an industrial piercing in both ears at the same time for around 200 here, and it was a genuinely pretty pleasant experience. Interior was nice and clean, and the guy doing my piercings was experienced and honestly pretty cool. Glad i got the chance to get something new before i went off to college! ty

This place is awesome, the staff is great. I got my lip (vertical labret), ears, and 2 dermals on my chest. The peircer is super nice, and gets the job done quickly! Not to mention he has rad curly hair that I dream of having. Im 100% going back when I decide on a new peircing.

I loved this place, Id called the day before to get info the lady on the phone was super sweet and helpful. Answered all my questions. So I went in the next day and I payed $60 for my belly button to get done good price in my opinion. She was very sweet and calming about it. I was very nervous and she didnt rust me to do anything... Michael pierced my nose today and was fast, professional, and took plenty of time to discuss the appropriate aftercare.I would be more thorough but there is not much else to it- it was quick, relatively painless, and to the point. I honestly couldn’t think of anything to complain about if I tried.

Uprock is the best place in Midland to go for your tattoo/ piercing needs. I dont go anywhere else. Their cleanliness is the best by far and the piercer is very experienced and quick at her work! For our tattoos we love Shelbys work. Very kind and friendly atmosphere.

Called to see if they would help my daughter change her nose ring for the first time. Lady on phone was nice and explained what they would do. When I asked if she needed documents (I needed them to get her nose pierced bc shes a minor) to be able to help us, she asked her age....14. She then sneered at me and said kinda young to be letting her do that dont you think? Ummmm....I didnt ask your opinion about MY daughters age. I simply needed to know if I needed to bring documents with me. Needless to say, we will find another shop with less judgemental employees.

I have wanted a Dolly Parton tattoo for years now and finally booked the time to do it. One of my good friends has beautiful full sleeves and recommended her guy Richard to me, and he did not disappoint! Richard was super communicative during the planning process, and actually suggested something that was out of my comfort zone with my other tattoos but he really made me feel comfortable with his vision. My tattoo is absolutely beautiful and I could not have asked for a better experience. I am absolutely obsessed with this piece and will 100000% go to him for my next tattoo.

I got my nipples done her by Sonny and one of them is crooked and both are incorrectly placed. He said it was normal but I got them checked by another piercer and they said it definitely is not! I paid 100 and had to take them out.

Make sure you ask to see the drawing of the tattoo before you get one because if you don’t like it they will keep your money. This place charged me 200$ and it took 45 mins to draw, I was the only customer there .IT WAS A BASIC HEART !! I got it done down the street and the artist charged me after. Only took 15 mins to get me in and they were packed ! Much better customer service as well.

I was referred to Uprock by my friend and my daughter. Got my ears pierced. He was quick and very helpful.

I got my snake bites here. I ws dissapoimted with my experience. The lady was rude and pierced them both crooked, I had to take one out due to extreme swelling. Also when I want back to get it removed she was snappy and told me not to tell her how to do her job after I said theyre both crooked and one is bleeding and hurts. I got charged $125 and she hinted at a tip. Stay away pls

I gifted my brother a tattoo for his birthday, and he chose to have it done at Uprock. I have to say i was very impressed with the work and friendliness of the staff. Sonny and Spider made us feel right at home. What i really appreciated was the honesty as to what colors of sizes in tattoo looked better. Sonny made sure to point out certain details that needed to be changed to the design we selected and explained why they needed to be changed (i.e. gaps that were too small and would eventually the ink would spread, or colors that would not stand out correctly, even how big a tattoo had to be with a certain design to be tattooable) which was great since it was my brothers first tattoo. Sonny really made the whole process so much easier with his input and ideas.

I went to go get my lip ring taken out and paid 10$ because I could not get it off myself, she tried to take it off and could not I started swelling and bleeding and she gave up so I went to to the tattoo shop in the odessa mall where I got it done and all she did was actually use the tools your suppose to use to get it off! Didnt hurt me one bit, she clamped the back of it and clamped the ball and twisted it and it was off. Seemed like she just didnt want to open the tools and didnt even give me money back just said I might have to go to the hospital so I was not very happy with my experience there.

Repiercing done on my lip I told her what size & she gives me a bigger size 🤦‍♀️. Then I called her out on it she gets mad & not professional at all I been getting all my piercing there for the longest time. Im done going there or if sonny does it.

I got my medusa and labret pierced recently by them and the piercer used too small of jewelry in my medusa plus he pierced it incorrectly, my labret is a size too big. I had to get my medusa removed by another shop
