If I could give more than 5-stars, I would!Bone, the owner, has got to be the most genuine, caring and sincere owner’s of a business I have ever encountered. He truly gets customer service.Chris, the artist that did my tattoo, is amazing! He took the time to really understand what I wanted. I got a tattoo for my mom who passed in May. He went above and beyond my expectations!I wouldn’t go anywhere else. Period!

L am a 65 plus-year-old woman who experience was very positive getting my first tattoo at a clean and professional shop.• The artist, Chris, introduced himself, gave written material which explained the process, cost, and payment.• On the day of the procedure, he used new needles and sterile equipment. The chair and armrest was covered with clean new covers. He also explained the procedure as he worked.• Chris provided written aftercare instructions.Chris is a very professional, pleasant and easy to talk to person.• I highly recommends Chris and his shop!!!

CT did a wonderful job on my tattoo in memory of my mother. The price was reasonable, the shop is very clean, the staff are so nice. Highly recommend them

I’m not going to straight up give 1 star due to the staff being pretty enjoyable for me to be around. My artist was awesome and the whole experience was pretty good. BUT I went in for a memorial for my father who had just passed. It all went well, almost painless and I felt pretty comfortable with my artist. After it was done there were a few spots I might would complain about but other than that it looked great.The issue was after healing which I had done everything correct aftercare wise, I always try to take good care of my tattoos especially one I paid $250 for. The tattoo started scarring over that’s when we realized he had gone WAY too deep. Now it is scarred and spreading out under my skin. It takes up a good bit of my right arm so it’s gonna be hard to cover up . It’s been maybe 6 months or so since I got the tattoo and it is already fading out and spreading more and more even with special care.Now I’ve seen Hardy’s work and what he did on me can’t be compared to his other stuff. I partially feel like maybe he didn’t put as much effort or just didn’t try maybe due to me being young? Maybe I wouldn’t know the difference between a bad tattoo and a good one. But I definitely do. No hate to him.I am just disappointed.

Im going to start off by saying Ill try not to make this a long review because I know itll be too much for others to read, but just know that they deserve a long review! I ABSOLUTELY 💯 LOVE THIS PLACE! This was my first time here, and I gotta say, Im impressed. Loved the owner, Mr. Bone, loved his vibe! He is so sweet and caring, BUT my tattoo artist, Chi, is hands down the BEST! Shes wonderful, from her personality, to her amazing tattooing skills. This was my very first tattoo, and I gotta say I was more than nervous. Afraid if itll turn out good or not, because this would be tatted on me! I can honestly say that I as not disappointed. She absolutely killed it! It looks like an actual sticker! I cant stop staring at it. Whenever I stare at it, I fall in love with it all over again. Now I told her this would also be my last tattoo because the pain was just, whew. Didnt think Id be able to go thru that again, but when she finished the tattoo, I was having second guesses. Now Im searching for ideas on my next tattoo! And for the one after that! She has definitely created a monster. Guess this wont be my first and last tattoo after all, BUT Chi, is hands down going to be my first and only artist! Loved everything about this place, from the friendliness to the cleanliness, and professionalism. If youre thinking about getting your first tattoo or your next one, this place is the place to go. You wouldnt regret it, if I had to do it all over again, Ill pick this place every time.

First I’d love to express my gratitude for the kindness of the owner, Bone! He was absolutely wonderful. I got two tattoos done by the lovely Hardy. He did fantastic work on both my mom and I. I will most definitely be dropping in again!

My experience at Black Dragon was absolutely top tier. This was my first tattoo and going into it I was a bit nervous, but my artist, Chi, was truly incredible at her job and at making me feel comfortable throughout the process. I also got the chance to talk with the owner, Bone, as well as CT, another artist, and both were incredibly cool people. If anyone is looking for a place to get some new ink done, I truly couldn’t recommend Black Dragon any more. Great people, incredible service, and wonderful atmosphere. 10/10

My artist was professional from beginning to end… she assisted with finding the perfect tattoo followed by a skillful & flawless execution. Black dragon tattoo listed all the precautions and warned me about my finger tattoo that they don’t hold the ink very well like most hand tattoos. I didn’t care that it would fade. I wanted Yin Yang on me forever and I think they did an excellent job. The vibes in this shop felt right and I had a great experience with my first tattoo. I will be going back to them for their prices and the kindness of the employees.

Amazing artists! Great people! Worked with me until they knew I was happy. Just finished the line work on a piece that connects directly with my heart. Couldn’t ask for a better experience. Bone is amazing, Klayton did my tattoo. He’s new to the shop and did such a wonderful job.

Went to three different tattoo studios the particular day my son and I got a quick tattoo. Every where we went they acted like we were a bother.It was my birthday weekend and my son came in from out of town, we were having lunch and on a whim we decided to get a simple tattoo to remember the awesome day we had. We went into Black Dragon tattoo and they were amazing. Chi ended up doing our work and she did an amazing job. She had to squeeze us in but never made us feel bad about it. Bone took time to talk with us and really made us feel at home. They are amazing and I would recommend them to anyone. Especially if it’s your first. They will make you feel like you matter and treat you like a friend not just a dollar. Love these guys. I will be giving them a lot more business.

I was in Montgomery for the day and also had researched this tattoo shop. I did not have an appointment but since I was there I stopped by. I just wanted a small Bible verse tattooed on my arm so wasnt anything extravagant. Talked to the owner, Bones, for awhile, we exchanged stories, etc., and he is about the coolest dude I have ever met! Really nice guy! I filled out the paperwork and got my tat done by Hardy. Really nice guy as well.He did a great job and I was 100% happy with my tat. Highly recommend Black Dragon! Very good artist and reasonable prices. Should be your stop for your next tat! Just go!!!

Black Dragon has got to be one of the most professional and well managed tattoo studios I have visited in this area. My art was done by Chris. I gave him an idea of what I wanted. This young man free-handed my design! I highly recommend this establishment and will return for future services.

I called on a day they understaffed and they said theyd call if I could get in. 15 minutes later she said come on. Made me super happy! Hardy was my artist with an amazingly gentle touch and so quick. Hes amazing and Ill definitely be back. Especially since the owner knew the only guy I used to let tattoo me Charlie. Trust went up even more. Everything I saw there was beautiful, not just the tattoos but the actual art by to tattooers. 100% will be back. Just got my tattoo done by Chris at Black Dragon. He is so sweet, informative, and made me feel extremely comfortable getting my very first tattoo. The place was clean and organized. The atmosphere was very chill and welcoming. I had very little anxiety with it being my first time because of this. I had talked to Chris for about a week up to the actual work being done and he was very patient with me in coming up with something I loved. 10/10 would recommend and I will definitely be going back.

By far the best tattoo experience I’ve ever had!!! In fact this was my very first tattoo ever!! I initially searched the internet and by word of mouth looked for a great 😌 tattoo shop!! I was very please that I found Black Dragon Tattoo shop!!! From the moment I walked through the I discovered tattoo artists that were very professional, courteous, skillful, knowledgeable, and passionate at their work!!! I had a great experience at Black Dragon Tattoo Shop. This was my first time getting a tattoo done at this shop. I was looking to get a tattoo around my work schedule.Everyone at the shop was very friendly, clean, and professional. The vibe was great and welcoming.The tattoo artist, Chi, was very accommodating with my work schedule and I was able to schedule my tattoo appointment. I ended up getting two tattoos. Chi is a great artist and cares about her clients and work. Chi did a great job on my tattoos and put great detail in the tattoos. I was very happy with the end result. I highly recommend this shop. I will definitely go back to this shop in the future.

Pricey. And my artist was late.The work turned out pretty good though.But fir the price I paid and the rules of customer should be on time and pay a deposit to secure a seat then I would expect my artist TO BE ON TIME and ready to work..Not come late, wait around for a while, then get started when the artist feels up to it.But as I said the work itself turned out pretty good.

I took my Daughter and myself to get two similar semi colons, and my daughter wanted a tattoo of a specific saying on her forearm.Hardy, the Tattoo Artist was awesome and funny. One of the best, if not the best tattoo shop in Montgomery! I had an AWESOME experience! The shop and artists were very clean and took great precautions in the preparation of needles, ink, and other materials used. My artist Bone, owner, exuded fantastic line work and shading, and was very clean detail oriented. I’ve received several compliments on my tattoos.

I absolutely love this place! I have many tattoos from several different place, and this is by far my favorite place. The guys were professional and the place was clean! Every other shop told me it would be at least 2-3 months before they could get me in to get what I wanted, but these guys not only got me in the same day, but also they stayed until after closing to finish. In the future, this will be the ONLY tattoo shop I will use!!! I never really do reviews, but my tattoo turned out so much better than I had planned and expected, so I had to!

This is the best place for a tattoo in our area. Quality work, they aim to please their clients. Their work ethic is superb. The owner Bone is a fantastic artist but also a very caring and quality human being. He makes everyone feel comfortable. The young lady that works upfront couldn’t be nicer. Raoul is a real artist too. He’s all about doing quality work. They got a great thing going in Montgomery.

Called for a walk in tattoo and they worked us in quick and easy. Pricing was so good and the quality of the tattoo is great. You can’t go anywhere else and get the price and quality like them. Father and son run the business and they are both so nice. Highly recommend them for all tattoos. Really fun and comfortable atmosphere :) was great for my out of state tattoo. I will be planning another trip to Alabama just to come get a tattoo from them again!

My experience here was absolutely amazing. I had my sons name along with a little dino added to the inside of my wrist. They worked me in the same day I called and were very professional. I totally totally love love Black Dragon Tattoo!!! As we all know tattoos take time, but the greater the design the more time it consumes. Raul and Bone are so professional, kind, clean and courteous. I submitted my design in advance with my deposit and an appointment was set. Of course I was nervous, but they really made me feel at home. My appointment was at 7 and my tattoo was finished around 9. I had no idea it would take that long, but the details of my tattoo was well worth the wait. (Plus they have signs all around the shop to explaining how pure artistry takes time. So you may have to wait a little once you arrive) I totally recommend BLACK Dragon for all of your tattoo needs. I also like how they explain how to care for my tattoo during the healing time. It was my first so I needed all the help I could get! They patiently explained even though my questions were dumb…lol Bone just smiled and took time to explain. Hit them up!!!

I’ve been getting tattooed at Black Dragon for over 10 years now. Every experience was dope. Bone is a professional tattoo artist that listens to every detail and delivers precisely. Shop was very clean, sanitized, and artist was very sterile with setup. Definitely not one of those bootleg artist lol. I enjoyed myself with every visit. Can’t wait to visit again from Miami.

Wow! I have had 4 beautiful tattoos done by the talented Artist Mr. BONE. I have always been pleased with the finished products and have eagerly recommended him to friends and family. This shop is the best! Everyone here is friendly and they will take care of you! If they take long it is because they are making sure they are giving you their best work without being rushed. I don’t have a recent picture because my tattoo is not done but Bone always does a great job!

The staff was very friendly. After waiting for weeks to get a tattoo. I walked out with NO TATTOO. I didnt like what I was showed. I rescheduled my appointment. The next day I called to cancel that appointment and acquire on the money I put as a deposit. Bone was not professional and wanted to argue. I WILL NOT RECOMMEND BLACK DRAGON TATTOO to anyone I know. Because of this experience I WILL NOT BE RETURNING TO ANY BLACK OWN TATTOO SHOPS.

I felt very welcome and comfortable at Black Dragon. They have created a professional and relaxed atmosphere that made my experience a pleasurable one. The shop is spotless and the staff is beyond courteous and helpful. Bone is a great tattoo artist and his vision for my tattoo was exactly what I was hoping for!

I scheduled to have a tattoo done a month in advance with them, and when I came to the shop on the day of my appointment I was called into the office by an inexperienced receptionist and she told me I had to reschedule my tattoo for the next day at 7pm, which wasn’t an issue. 2 hours before my appointment the next day I received a call from the shop saying that my appointment wasn’t suppose to be rescheduled, and that they will have to yet again reschedule my appointment that I scheduled an entire month in advance. I was upset and I just asked them to cancel the appointment. I paid a 100 deposit for yall to do absolutely NOTHING!. At least what the owner could was prioritize my tattoo since I’ve been rescheduled twice already.Montgomery take it from me DO NOT do business with them , you’re much better off at another tattoo shop because they obviously do not have any communication amongst their staff. The owner is professional and the prices are indeed fair, but they drop the ball when it comes to conducting themselves like a successful business. Once they learn how to communicate and learn how to service their customers correctly then the business can thrive how it’s suppose to , but until they do that don’t waste your time and hard earned money on them

Not gonna lie....I was a little nervous going in, but I trusted the reviews and I’m glad I did! Bones and his staff are very professional and had great customer service. He even suggested I come back the next day so Raul could give me smaller lettering like I wanted. I’m so glad I did because his lines are AMAZING. Beautiful script. And I’m so in love with the final product! Highly recommend if you’re in the Montgomery area!

From day one Bone went above and beyond with the deigns and completion of my tattoos. If I had to cancelled an appointment and reschedule, it was no problem. Bone is one of the most professional business men that I know. Not to mention extremely diligent and through when it comes to tattooing and customer service.

Was actually considering getting a tattoo at this place the next time I went to Montgomery to visit some close classmates from college, but apparently the staff is not professional and is very unorganized. The communication seems to be off, and if your going to have someone schedule an appointment weeks in advance PLUS take a non-refundable deposit of $100 just to tell them at the last minute they have to reschedule as if the session wasn’t booked weeks in advance. So not only are you saying that the customers don’t matter, but it’s very unprofessional to waste someone time, and then money is wasted. Lost $100, and ended up going to another shop who did the tattoo and I would highly recommend them but NOT Black Dragon. It’s sad when you try to support your own kind, and they prove you right of why you should spend your money elsewhere. So honestly I wouldn’t go here or even recommend anyone go here unless you want to get a run around or lose money.

My friend scheduled an appointment weeks in advance and paid a deposit to secure his appointment and the day of was asked to reschedule, after calling to confirm and no one knew what he was talking about and saying they overbooked. He rescheduled for the next day and they tried to reschedule again and he simply did not have the time for that. He came in from out of town and took off work just so he could come and get this tattoo that he was extremely excited about, and left disappointed not once but twice. I can understand deposits being non refundable when there is an error on the customers part but it is a shame that they would not refund his deposit after inconveniencing him twice. Poor customer service.

Awesome artists! Bone listened to what I wanted and put work into producing an awesome design for me. Very professional, clean setup, and topnotch quality! They were able to get me in and work with my timeline. Id definitely recommend checking them out.

On a random day, I was searching for tattoo shops in Montgomery , & ended up arriving at Black Dragon Tattoo. I will not be attending any other tattoo shops, other than Black Dragon. Its the right place to get professional, artistic, and beautiful tattoos. Check out the owner/artist Bone. I adore the 2 tattoos that he completed for me, & there will be more coming soon. The prices are very reasonable. You will not be disappointed!

I’ve followed Back Dragon Tattoo shop from each location they have relocated simply because the service is great! I have not been to another artist since Bone has been doing my tattoos. He has done small, medium and large tattoos on myself and lots of people I know! Great quality for an affordable price!

I loved my back tattoo soooo much....I showed it to a stranger as I was exiting the building. Its been about two weeks ago and it still looks as good as when I first saw it. Very clean guy with light hands that do the job right. Got my 4th tattoo done here at a great price and left with the best tattoo on me. Awesome artist, he’s attentive to you and makes sure you’re good during your entire session. Makes you feel comfortable and even though the shop is in a rough area he walks his customers to the car to make sure they get in there safely. Will never go to anyone els while in Alabama.
