I had the absolute best experience with Gwen and the whole team at Gothic Heart.Environment: you’re not going to find a cooler shop. Gwen turned the tv on in the waiting area, there’s a mini snack bar, and lots of cool art and mirrors for when you inevitably want to take a selfie. The work stations themself are clean and open, making it easy to find something cool to look at while you’re getting tattooed.Staff: My tattoo was done by Gwen, whose work speaks for itself in terms of talent. But the entire team that was there that day (Justin and Zoe) were also super welcoming and easy to talk with. Everyone made me feel so comfortable with it being my first time in the shop.Artist: I cannot gush enough about how great Gwen is. Not only is she super sweet, but she took the time to explain where she was in her process and checked on me often to ask if I needed anything or breaks. When we were done she took her time wrapping me up and going over care instructions. Justin was working on a client who was kind enough to show us when they were done and I was amazed at how much talent is in that team. My appointment lasted 7 hours and it genuinely just felt like I was hanging out with friends from start to end.Seriously, just go here. Every artist is great and I’ve already scheduled my next appointment 😊

My entire experience from start to finish was great. This shop is so cute and has so much character and Gwen did a great job on my tattoos. She took her time and made sure every detail was perfect which I appreciate so much. 10/10 will definitely be coming back!

I can’t say enough about this shop. The atmosphere is so welcoming. They had snacks and drinks available and had a movie playing in the waiting area. I saw Gwen today and she is absolutely amazing. Her black and white work is fantastic. She knocks it out of the park everytime. She’s very sweet and always makes sure I’m comfortable and okay. There was 2 apprentices there also and they were also very nice. Between the calm welcoming vibes, the amazing work, and of course the wonderful artists, you definitely won’t regret getting work done here.

I absolutely loved my experience here with Gwen, she did an amazing job on my tattoo. I love their setup, with the comfortable lobby separate from the area they tattoo in.They accommodated my boyfriend while he sat with me, and Gwen answered my many questions about tattooing. It’s very clean and honestly so beautiful, I love it in there! I can’t wait until I can set up my next appointment, definitely recommend coming to Gothic Heart Tattoo. Had some tattoos done by Gwen today and the whole experience was wonderful! Tattoo wise they look awesome and Gwen is an amazing artist, she executed what I wanted perfectly! She is so kind and friendly and was very considerate making sure I was always comfortable. The shop is very welcoming and clean. Gwen has now done three tattoos for me & I always am so amazed by her work. Every. Single. Time. She did this Taylor Swift lyrics inspired tattoo for my childhood best friend & I today & we are both so happy with outcome! Not only is Gwen so talented, but she very much loves what she does, & you can see it in her work. She puts so much effort & thought into every single piece. I can’t say enough nice things about Gwen & her work! I always get so many compliments & love to talk to people & tell them to see her for their tattoos! Gwen did an awesome tattoo on my stomach! We split it into 2 sessions and she was quick and super light handed and all around amazing. The shop was clean, beautiful, organized and very professional. Ive gotten multiple tattoos from their apprentice and have loved every single one. Cant wait to go back to finish my stomach piece and to get even more art work done from each artist! 10/10 would definitely recommend

I had the BEST experience with Gwen, she was super flexible with my appointment due to some complications on my end and managed to get me in within the same week as my original date, so I am forever grateful for her. She made sure I was comfortable throughout the entire service, cheering me on for sitting so well, and giving me breaks if I needed them. She even talked me through some aftercare options that would work best with my daily routine with work that way it heals the best. The vibe of the shop was SO welcoming, made us feel right at home. We will absolutely be back for more art, if I could give her 10 stars, I would because she absolutely deserves it!

Gwen did an amazing job listening to me about what I really wanted when it came to my tattoo. Im a huge book lover and she gave me a piece of my fantasy world brought to life. I couldnt recommend them enough. The atmosphere is great, the lobby is comfortable with snacks and drinks and TV while they finish your designs and everything is very clean and well kept. I cannot recommend this shop enough! I habe gotten multiple tattoos from multiple artist and I love all of them. Each artist puts in so much time and dedication into making sure that you absolutely love the design before starting. The shop is clean, comfortable and has snacks and drinks in case you need something while getting tattooed. I feel completely comfortable with every artist and my needs are always met and considered. I 100% will return for more art in the future!

This was my first time ever getting a tattoo, aka facing my fears! I didnt really have any expectations since Ive never done this before..But WOW I was blown away by the experience! The place is insanely awesome, clean & cool decor. I had a few ideas from photo references, showed them to Gwen & she did her magic on the designs I asked for! Always made sure I felt comfortable, reassured me on the designs to make sure I liked them & the placement of them. Next thing I knew it was time for the golden hour, she got me prepped and set to tattoo the designs. Some areas were a bit more painful than others on my arm, but not too bad for my first time! The whole process was an easy going breeze, I was done within 1 hour and a half for some simple designs. Plus, they play great music!! Thank you Gwen, I LOVE LOVE my new ink!!! Just what I wanted! Theyre kind, fun, and are incredible professional artists!

Hands down the best pair of tattoo artist I have ever met. Gwen is professional and listens to what you want. She’s great with helping suggest ideas on placement and always tells you to let her know if you ever need a break. Pricing is very reasonable and Gwen takes her time and gives plenty attention to detail. I now go to her on a regular basis for my tattoo ideas. After seeing her work I will not go to anyone else. When I had the idea to honor my late nana and papa I had no idea it would turn out so beautiful. Gwen literally poured her entire heart into this tattoo and I cried when I saw it. This shop was UNREAL. The decor was out of this world and so were the people. This was my first tattoo and I couldn’t have been more excited and comfortable. We got the simplest matching tattoos and Gwen did a PERFECT job like it was NOTHING 😍 clean lines, no stress, and great memories.

The shop is decorated so beautifully with a mix of Victorian gothic and modern creepycore. Gwen is an incredible artist and a lovely person. She drew me a beautiful piece, and treated me with care and compassion. Justin was also a delight and made a point to engage with me. Cheyenne, the shop apprentice, was very sweet and helpful as well. Good location, great art, and a dynamic team!

He always listens to what I want , has a rough sketch ready to go but then sits down with me to finalize what exactly I want so we know it’s just right ! Always makes me feel welcome and comfortable. They also have complementary snacks and beverages for their clients. The open floor concept where they have their stations makes you feel right at home. You dont feel like you are to close to other clients being worked on and can really focus on your experience with the artist. The artists are extremely professional but so down to earth at the same time. My first tattoo ever was with Justin years ago, talk about an experienced artist! His tattoos of animals and cover ups are bar none. Gwen has been working on my sleeves the last few years. Talk about talent, Gwens art is beyond beautiful. She can truly bring my ideas to life in ways I couldnt have dreamed of! I couldnt recommend either artist more! Mount Vernon, OH is lucky to have such talented professionals artists in our small town. You would think they were artists in a big city for the flawless work you get.

First off, this new shop is awesome and so inviting as soon as you walk in. There is plenty of privacy and separation from the waiting area to the actual tattoo area. Gwen and Justin were both incredible during the entire process. Gwen did an amazing job with a coverup and made sure I was doing alright during the entire tattoo appointment. I live all the way in Columbus and made the drive to mount vernon just to get tattooed by Gwen. I was lucky enough to be in her new tattoo spot. It was SO comfy in the waiting area I felt like I was at home. (Definitely could have taken a nap 😂) They offer you snacks and water when you come in and during the tattoo process. Gwen and I chatted the whole 4 hours I was there and it felt like I was catching up with a friend. She truly makes sure your comfort and needs are met the whole time. I’ve been to a few different tattoo places and this place was by far the best I’ve ever been. ❤️❤️ Her and her husband were amazing and so so so friendly. Gothic Heart Tattoo is the place to go.I have been getting inked by Justin and let me tell you, this man can make anything out of nothing.From start to finish, Justin puts in every ounce of passion into his craft. He is very involved with his clients and is great at communicating ideas to make the tattoo for you! His imagination is out of this world and I come in and out every time with the biggest smile on my face.And to top that all off, he is so fair with his pricing.No other artist can make you feel more at home while being stabbed a million times like him.
