I went in for my first tattoo not sure of what to expect, and Ryan walked me through the process really well! He also took my inspo picture and made it even better! Everything went smoothly and the shop was clean and welcoming. I love how my tattoo turned out! I 100% recommend!

This being my second body modification ever, the experience here has eclipsed my prior experience and set a new standard for what I can and should expect with services like these!The thorough explanations, the recommendations and the process were all comforting step in getting this done & I cannot stress enough the value of insight and education I was given for my piercing! When I met with Ryan we talked about tattoo logistics, care, and due diligence. When we got to the concept part, he took the rough ideas I sent him and took them to the next level. We brought in our daughter who was going through a really tough period of her life before getting a diagnosis that made it all make sense. To help her remember not to hurt herself, she asked for a pretty sprig tattoo with the words Just breathe. The owner was extremely professional, and as a fellow artist, his policies made perfect sense to me. She looks at it every day, and sometimes uses focusing on it during panic attacks to calm down. This beautiful little piece of art is a literal life-saver. I would come back in a heartbeat and have recommended him to another friend. I reached out to ask a few questions about piercing jewelry and tattoo appearance. I was responded to in a very rude manner. While I understand not being able to send photos of tattoo work to protect intellectual property, I was also not given any information about the material or color of jewelry, even without photographs. I went in asking genuine questions, but got quite a few extremely rude responses. ***Upon further research, this piercer is not APP certified so the materials used for piercing are unverified***Edit in response to the owner (see below):1. There was no information stated on the website about not being able to inquire about certain specials. The website is evidently not robust enough to answer my questions, which you were also unwilling to answer.2. As seen by the transcript, I was happy to book a consultation but was wondering about later availability and trends in availability.3. I was asking about gold jewelry so that I could find a place that suited my needs.4. You explicitly left out parts of the dialogue that display you being rude. I responded with kindness and consideration, even attempting to see your point of view.5. None of what I have stated above is false, or retaliatory. What I have described, and the below transcript are an accurate depiction of our interaction.

I have been to Ryan’s shop 3 times now and I have had an excellent experience all three times. I took my two daughters to have their ears pieced about 1 month ago. He was very thorough with all of his paperwork, aftercare, and being sure the girls (6 and 8) were serious and had carefully considered this permanent modification to their body. He was kind and gentle with them while also being incredibly professional. The piercings are healing very well and the girls are so happy! I visited him a second time to get several ear piercings, a third lobe and a conch. Again, Ryan was the utmost professional and explained everything incredibly well including aftercare and healing times. The third time I visited, I received a custom spine tattoo. Ryan put together everything I had hoped for into the design and placed it until it was perfect. Ryan placed me in a comfortable position and checked on me several times and the tattoo came out AMAZING! I am now a member and can’t wait to get several more tattoos by him. I feel so lucky to have found him and his talent! Thank you Ryan!

Made an appt for my daughter to get a tattoo - shes still 17- minor appt requires a parent make it and be there with proper documents. Ryan was great- went through all his policies and procedures, made sure my daughter was reading along and understood. He is very personable and cares about his clients. Very clean shop and organized.

I cannot say enough about how great this place is. Ryan clearly loves what he does and is very professional. I definitely appreciated that he took the time to go over every detail about getting my septum pierced. He clearly knows what he is doing. Most places have you in and out in 10 minutes and dont take the time to explain things to you or teach you how to care for your piercing. This is a long overdue review. I visited Norristown Tattoos in January after I decided I wanted a new tattoo for my birthday. I obviously knew nothing about tattoos but thanks to Ryan, I came out of the shop very happy. He is highly professional and he took his time to explain everything I needed to know about the design I had in mind, the ink type against my skin tone, proper tattoo care, you name it! He went over every single point in detail and made sure I understood him before we moved on. He brought the vision to life and it far exceeded my expectations. I am looking to keep the tattoo going and not sure what to get next but I’m sure with his expertise, I will have no issues. I’ll be back soon! 😊

This tattoo studio is super nice, clean & professionally set up. More importantly (for me anyway), the artist Ryan is very talented & amazingly accommodating. He worked with me for way longer than he had to to design something totally unique by collaborating with me, taking the time to discuss what I wanted & planning the work holistically. He is also a chill person with great energy who really loves what he does. Going there to get work done, even when it’s a long, painful session— is honestly a pleasure & I’d recommend it to anyone (including/especially other women because he’s not a creep!).

Took my daughter in for ear lobe piercing on her 18th birthday. Ryan was phenomenal and I particularly liked that he spoke to her as a legal adult. He talked her through all of the forms and instructions calmly and concisely. Very professional. Oh, and she says the piercing didnt hurt and she is thrilled. Norristown Tattoo Co. is by far the BEST shop around. Ryan is absolutely amazing! He does BEAUTIFUL work. He is clean, professional, knowledgeable, friendly and THOROUGH. My first appointment was booked for the following day for a piercing (during COVID) through the site which was very easy to navigate. I went in for my piercing and met Ryan for the first time the next day. He made me feel very comfortable and we engaged in conversation the entire time. My piercing was PERFECT. While I was there, I booked a second appointment for a coverup. I was back in the shop in less than a week. I had no idea what I wanted. Ryan sat down with me and drew up a masterpiece. My cover up took 2 sessions, (2 separate appointments) about 8 hours total. When Ryan was finished, it was a total work of art. I cannot thank Ryan enough for transforming something I hated into something that I absolutely LOVE. Ryan (the main tattoo artist) is amazing. He will take the time and here you ideas out and will break down the knowledge he knows about doing ink. He will tell you if he honestly believes if something needs to be altered and will ask you about the part that he strongly believes wont come out how u think it will. He will ask you about that certain part and how can we do it differently but in YOUR opinion on how u will change that one thing. The man is 100 when it comes to tattoos. First off - I was not the one being tattooed, just a happy observer. Artist was careful, clean, patient, made sure my sister was 100% certain she was getting exactly what she wanted before he started. He played cool music once he was working on the piece, loudly but not unreasonably loud. Great conversations with an intelligent gentleman.Important note: he uses an antiseptic cleanser (with lidocaine) and my sister said it made a world of difference in the pain level.Agree on the price before starting and maybe write it down so it doesnt accidentally get forgotten in the course of the session.Here we are a few weeks later and the tattoo looks fantastic, as it should 😊

So far this summer I’ve had two tattoos (one of them being my first) done by Ryan Clark ( @rysqo ). I can’t say enough good things. Both times in the shop he was professional, courteous and patient. For my first tattoo he was very understanding with some of my apprehension, and answered all my questions thoroughly. He was skilled at keeping me calm during the experience, even when I was noticeably squeamish at certain moments. For my second appointment there was some changes last minute on timing (my fault), and again he was patient and professional. Most importantly he and the shop are noticeably taking important COVID precautions. Masks were worn the entire time, everything was sanitized during my presence, and bottles of hand sanitizer are everywhere. Much appreciated! I can’t imagine working during these unprecedented times and he handles it all vigilance and charm. I plan on going back to him for multiple tattoos.

The shop is pretty small but dont let it fool you! The artists are awesome, very real, and wont give you a bad tattoo. They seem very dedicated to making sure youre completely comfortable during the session and happy at the end! Some artists charge more than others but the prices are relatively low for the awesome quality tattoo youll be getting! if you have a guest theyll usually let them sit back with you while youre being tattooed which is a plus!
