Where do I even begin?? The atmosphere is AMAZING here. If youre a plant lover, youll be thrilled with the lush environment theyve created. Everyone I encountered was friendly, helpful, and fun to chat with. The place is clean, stocked full of lollipops and snacks (in case you get woozy after your appt). Jesss beautiful and unique art covers the walls, among gigantic plants and beautiful terrariums. The open loft space is brightly lit, showcasing the amazing space. April tattooed me today, and she is out of this world! This is my second tattoo by her, and her line work is clean and detailed. April is great to talk to while getting work done. Shes friendly, warm, and someone you can feel totally comfortable with. Jess has also done a sleeve on me and she nails the interpretation of my idea flawlessly. I recommend these artists to anyone looking for tattoo work. Wayne, the piercing king also helped me get some new jewelry in, since I have a hard time with the little pieces. Wayne is very sweet and the friendliest, most approachable man Ive personally seen at a tattoo studio. I honestly cant imagine a better place for tattoos and piercings. I strongly encourage anyone wanting a tattoo or piercing to make a special stop at The Darling Grey.

This was my second visit toDarling Grey.The shop is warm and inviting,very peaceful inside Wayne is an amazing piercer. He is thoughtful and listens to what you want. I was shown different ideas , jewelry and he took his time Wayne cares about what he does and owns his work. He is personable and put me at ease. Although I said its my last one, I know it isnt....I had Helix piercings done,and one Daith earring changed. Thank you Wayne for an awesome experience

Absolutely AMAZING!!! Wayne is such a welcoming awesome guy and a great piercer!!! He made me laugh after I got pierced to calm me down, and overall made the experience so great! He was extremely understanding with my cousin who has a fainting condition and made her feel very comfortable. We live 2 hours away but will DEFINITELY be back!!!

The location is absolutely beautiful. Environment is clean & the air is so fresh. Gorgeous plants, art, & decor all over. April did absolutely amazing and was so calm, collected, & considerate. Completely willing to redo stencils multiple times & ensures you are satisfied before starting & throughout the whole process. She made me so comfortable & at ease for my FIRST tattoos. Absolutely will be coming back! So happy!!

Wayne is amazing! This is the place to be! He did an amazing job with my nose piercing and my flat piercing too. He takes his time and is very thorough. I felt like I made a new friend. Wanted to get a tattoo while on vacation and found The Darling Grey while searching for a shop. I reached out to Caleb and he was great over email figuring out what I wanted to get and where. Shop was extremely clean and I loved the decor! Caleb did an amazing job on my tattoo. I would definitely go back again.

I love when things come together and happen so naturally. Wayne took good care of me at my appointment for a couple piercings I wanted. Hes knowledgeable and experienced. Communication every step of the way, Wayne is easy to talk to. I appreciated his opinion as we worked together on placement. I called Darling Grey at 2pm on a Saturday to get piercings with 3 friends (we were in Conway for a bachelorette), and were given an appointment for the same day at 4:30. All four of us were able to get piercings done, and Wayne was amazing! Wayne was professional but also relaxed & personable. The shop is wicked clean and cutely decorated with tons of plants & artwork. It is hands down the nicest piercing & tattoo place I’ve ever been to. Highly recommend.

Words can not describe how happy I am with the piece of art that Jess presented to me on my arm... being someone who swore to never get a tattoo... to researching and looking for the artist of choice for more than a year and after a little over 6 hours in the chair (yes I believe she thought I was crazy for a 1st timer going that long) I couldnt be more pleased. Had my second tattoo session and a piercing a few months ago at Darling Grey with Beth and Wayne!I’m always so excited and taken care of when I go to the shop. Beth is a phenomenal artist who takes a broad idea and comes up with exactly what I’m looking for! I’m already looking forward to my next piece with herWayne is so professional and knowledgeable; I had a friend go on my recommendation and she said she’d never go somewhere else for another piercing!The shop is incredibly clean, the vibe is excellent, everyone seems to be having a great time.Of the pictures two are new and one is healed from about a year ago and all of it is Beth’s work!

I just had a phenomenal session done with Jess. She was very professional and very friendly. Jess did a phenomenal job on my tattoo. If you are looking for a place to go to get an awesome tattoo you definitely need to go to The Darling Grey. Picture is not great due to being wrapped. You can see some of the phenomenal work. Had the pleasure of working with Wayne for multiple piercings, always incredible and I love everything done. ALL of the artists are amazingly talented, and great people to be around in general. Not to mention it’s the most beautiful and clean shop I’ve ever seen. 10/10 would recommend.

Jess, the owner is absolutely incredible. Ive been going to her for years now after she did my first tattoo. She is also one of the nicest people Ive ever met! She will not only give you a breathtaking tattoo but make you feel comfortable and welcome aswell. The shop is very clean and has a cozy atmosphere. I will always recommend going here and seeing any of the talented artists. I also get my piercings here from Wayne and he is awesome.again, I highly reccomend this shop. Just a heads up, they are very busy as you would expect from the work they produce. Its well worth the wait if you want incredible work and if not, Im sure youll be able to find someone else when you lower your standards.

Not only did these guys get us in immediately for a walk in appointment but they were incredibly kind and courteous! Highly recommend this place! Wayne is an awesome piercer! I got my 2nd and 3rd lobe piercings done. When I arrived for my appointment he took me right back and got to work. His calm, focused and clearly knowledgeable demeanor really made the experience that much easier for me.Super cool atmosphere in the shop. I loved how I wasn’t in a small room, however, I was given privacy in a designated corner. It made the experience feel very personalized.I will definitely be coming back to see Wayne when the time is right for my cartilage piercing!!I have not one even slightly negative thing to say about this business, very satisfied:)

I have been going here for almost 4 years. The atmosphere is beautiful and calming and everyone who works here is wonderful. Wayne did my nose piercing and he was kind, professional and quick. Beth has done 9 new tattoos including a spread of watercolors across my entire chest that Im counting at one, and revamped 3 of my older tattoos. She is very good, gentle and fast. I honestly wouldnt go anywhere else for my tattoos or piercings. Highly recommend, Id give a 10 start rating if they had one.

This place not only has a beautiful and comfortable atmosphere, but also the most kind and talented staff.I’ve been going to Jess for years absolutely love all of the work she has done on me. The staff is always friendly and fun to talk to too.

Wayne was so awesome. He’s super precise and so so so nice. He did my best friends vertical labret and it turned out perfect- and was so awesome enough to give me some new balls for my bridge jewelry. Made everything super comfortable and easy, knows exactly what he’s doing!!

The staff at The Darling Grey are top-notch! Everything is clean and beautiful, including the staff! They are professional and so talented. I love the time I spend there and always look forward to a return appointment. Beth has done most of my tattoos, and she is amazing!! My expectations are always exceeded. Caleb did a couple of small pieces for me, and he did a great job as well. I got permanent lip color done by April - amazing. Way back, years & years ago, I got my nose pierced by Wayne. This is the place to go if you are looking for a tattoo in North Conway. Plan ahead. They are all SUPER busy, and their books fill up months in advance. It is worth the wait!!!

I absolutely love the Darling Gray in North Conway. I got my first ever tattoo done at this shop four years ago and it still looks incredible. My partner has gotten some pieces from here as well and they’re obsessed with them. I can’t wait to get my next tattoo from this shop!

I wish it was possible to give 10 stars!!!I called last minute today to see if I could get my daughter in for an ear piercing. (We will ONLY go to Wayne) We were able to get in within a few hours which was amazing in itself. We were only scheduled for one piercing but she got two! He was great with her, and cracked some jokes you couldnt help but laugh at. Complete professionalism, and very very sterile piercing area! WOW!!!The new location is just as beautiful as the last. The shop was SPOTLESS! You couldnt find a single sighting of dust/dirt if you tried! Its very welcoming, and the plants and decor are something to talk about for ages! I felt like asking for a tour haha! Complete perfection.... how the owner/team does it is beyond me!! 🙌We love Darling Grey, and will not go anywhere else! Truly a gem we have here in the MWV!! You feel right at home the moment you pull up to this magical garden. This shop is a serene, calming environment jam-packed with unique art. While those factors draw you in, you stay and come back for the supremely talented artists. Emma is an angel!

Great customer service. Absolutely beautiful shop. My artist, Caleb, is an apprentice but you wouldnt know it. I have many tattoos but this is now my favorite. His attention to detail, personality, and love for his craft made for an exceptional experience. I will 100% be coming back and request Caleb again!

I called and made an appointment with Wayne to check out a rook piercing that wasnt healing well. He took one look and immediately knew what was wrong. He was willing to replace the jewelry for me on the spot, even though he had not done the original piercing. He also offered to do a follow up consultation if needed (it wasnt). Super kind and experienced folks at the shop. Would recommend for piercing needs!

April was incredible to deal with! This was my first tattoo and everything came together perfectly. Not only is she a very talented artist but she was comforting through the whole process. The studio is immaculately clean and a very relaxing atmosphere. I am definitely going to have some more ink done by her in the very near future. Would not hesitate to recommend her or any other artists!

We saw Wayne to get my 11 year olds ears pierced for the first time. He was amazing. Super professional, kind and even told some jokes when she got nervous. He made the whole experience perfect. Would definitely recommend! Happy 11 year old & Mom!

Love Wayne at The Darling Grey! He is always accommodating. Ive personally gotten numerous piercings from him. He was always great at explaining what to expect. He was great at walking my daughter through her cartilage piercing. She was relaxed, as she could be. He always does his best to squeeze people into his schedule. He has squeezed me into the day for a quick change of jewelry or just to put a piece back in. Wayne has also helped with retainers for surgeries and other medical issues. Great guy. Highly recommend him.

Always a great experience! I’ve gone here twice, have felt so welcome each time. Jess always makes sure I get exactly what I’m looking for and works with me to find the perfect design to make my pieces flow together. I am so happy with both my tattoos and will for sure be back to this shop soon!

I just love the atmosphere! The artists are ALL incredibly talented! But dont take my word for it! Go find any of their social media or go to their website. They dont generally do same day tattoos. But offer same day piercings. But in my humble opinion, they are worth the wait!

I haven’t done a lot of reviews but I thought this one was worth it. Wayne has done multiple piercings for me and is by far the best. As someone who has been pierced a number of times over the years I highly suggest Wayne, he’s calm, cool, and collected and very clean. I had a nervous friend with me years ago and he even let us leave and have her go get lunch and come back and he talked her through it and she got her first piercing. He takes the extra time to double and triple check placement marks and he always makes sure you’re ready and not going to pass out when you’re finished. Definitely worth the hour drive to get pierced here!

The Darling Grey isn’t your “typical” tattoo studio with not just tasteful furniture and decor, but also a lush array of plants, florals, and other botanicals making it just overall inviting and welcoming. All of the staff here are insanely kind and knowledgeable, and help you with suggestions to better your art/piercings without ever pressuring you into anything. These folks are very invested in their work and the clients that wear it, and it shows with how they instruct you on aftercare and how swiftly and easily your concerns are addressed should they arise. In addition to offering an overall outstanding experience, Jess’s shop is insanely clean and organized which adds yet another layer of professionalism to an already well executed establishment. The Darling Grey has had my business for years, and I don’t anticipate on taking it elsewhere any time soon!

Ive had a couple tattoos done here with April and she is incredible. My daughter decided she wanted to pierce her septum and there was no question where we were going to get it done. We had heard amazing things about Wayne and he did not disappoint. He explained everything in great detail and treated my 14 year old like an adult. He was gentle and super nice. We love it! She does such beautiful work on all of her clients, and I am always left amazed by her. I have NEVER been disappointed by her art. Absolutely phenomenal. Even Emma is pretty outstanding, I havent had the pleasure of working with her yet but I have seen some of her art and was very impressed. (Note: Ive only been pierced there, but would book a tattoo in a heartbeat-- I have 11 tattoos and can identify a good shop). The studio is beautiful, pristine, and they have you take off your shoes to keep the floor clean. Ive been pierced twice by Wayne Morris (my first and second piercings ever) and although Im terrified of piercings, Wayne has always made it a good experience! All tools are opened fresh from the package and immediately thrown away after. The shop has a great vibe and is GORGEOUS. They also accept card or cash.

Ive went to Darling Gray for a tattoo before and I loved it. I love my tattoo everything about the experience was good. I went yesterday for a lip piercing and though Wayne is sweet and I loved his company I was pretty unhappy with the piercing I got. ive had piercings before, I know they swell up when you first get them but he kept recommending sizes of jewelry that I knew were going to be too big even with swelling, I left the shop with a stud instead of a hoop hoping it would be smaller but it was poking out of my face and was going over my teeth when i opened my mouth.I called the shop about an hour after I left to say that my jewelry was too big and uncomfortable but was told to keep it in until it was more healed, which I can understand but in my case it was hitting my gums and getting caught on my teeth which shouldnt happen. I ended up taking the piercing out this morning because I couldnt chew without it getting caught on my teeth and The placement was more on my upper chin than my lip. I tried to be vocal about what i wanted and the message was not relayed. Not too happy..

Love! Love! Love! Husband and I on our honeymoon wanted ring tattoos, didnt state they took walk-ins. They graciously allowed us to do a quick walk-in! Very professional and clean parlour and staff. The whole staff was very welcoming and super nice! We had Emma, very good attention to detail with small finger tattoos! Would highly recommend!

Jess and everyone that works here is super friendly and you can tell just how passionate they are about their work. I was so happy to get in this round of appointments with Jess but there was a little mix up with scheduling. Who knew there were two Wednesday the 23rds in a row? I didnt have to do anything but wait a little bit until she was ready and she got right to work. As a naturally quiet person I enjoyed her chattiness and it helped distract from the pain of thigh work. Jess does amazing work and now I have a little of my own! See you again in March 😊

My wife went here for her first tattoo just yesterday. We walked in spontaneously, and we just lucked right out. The inside of the shop is beautiful and inviting. The girls that work there are amazingly friendly and kind. The talent that they have in this establishment is second to none. Next time we come up I hope to be getting my second tattoo from them. Where to start.... The Darling Grey is not your typical tattoo parlor, AT ALL. The owner Jess, goes above & beyond to make her clients feel welcome & comfortable. This shop radiates equality, perfection, & kindness. The shop is SPOTLESS clean & everyone there radiates kindness. Emma & Wayne are staples to the shop that make each visit even more wholesome. I wouldn’t want to step foot in any other tattoo shop after frequenting The Darling Grey. Beware... they have that effect 😋. Not to mention, their work is of pure quality and heart. ♥️♥️♥️

The Darling Grey feels like the most incredible art gallery youve ever set foot in. When you step through the door, you are surrounded by gorgeous artwork and classy Victorian themed furnishings. The owner, Jess, is an outstanding artist. Her paintings and drawings have the most fantastic whimsical quality to them. Looking at them, I wish I could crawl into her imagination and have a look around. On top of the talent and quality displayed in the artwork around the shop, both Jess and Emma are incredibly talented tattooers, and they are both very professional. At The Darling Grey, you are guaranteed to take home artwork that you will cherish for the rest of your life.

Been seeing Wayne for piercings since he worked at White Mountain Tattoo and followed him here! He’s the absolute best of the best, I should know because I’ve let him poke me 10 times since I was 15. He’s always super professional and very friendly. He’s the only piercer I’ve known that doesn’t use a clamp and still always gets his piercings perfect. He’s for sure the only piercer I would see in Conway and probably all of New England

Amazing atmosphere, laid back and comfortable but professional at the same time! Ive gotten two tattoos here from different artists each time and both were very attentive, focused and made sure I was getting exactly what I wanted. I HIGHLY recommend them!

Came here a few months ago with a friend to get her septum pierced. Wayne did a great job, and she loves it. Made the long drive again specifically to see him- feel very safe and clean there. Will definitely be coming back for any future piercings and recommend all others to as well!

The Valley needed an awesome down to earth Tattoo Parlor thats not all about the money and The Darling Grey is it! Jess is an amazing person and fantastic artist. Wayne is the man when it comes to piercings and Emma is really showing her talent! Even if you arent ready for a tattoo or piercing you should stop in and see the place and meet everyone. They have sweatshirts and stickers for sale but also their like family and everyone fits it!

Every piercing Ive had done here (13 of them) have been perfect. Clear instructions, perfectly lined up and Wayne is really good at preparing you for what the actual piercing part is going to be like. 11/10 recommend 🤩

Received a gift card for Christmas a couple years ago called to schedule an appointment shortly after was informed they’re not taking new clients at that time recently attempted again but again same thing. Asked for a refund of the gift card seems it’s completely useless, they refused suggested I sell it on social media, which I am not on, they said they couldn’t help. What a business model.

Went in to donate to the fund for badly injured ink artist. Very impressive entrance garden, which continued inside. Several attractive women who are clearly products of the product: excellent thematic sleeves in brilliant colors. You can see and feel why they have such a solid following of men and women who love body art

Wayne is the man!! Went in today, just looking for more info on the diath(sp) piercing. He explained it throughly. His calm demeanor was ready reassuring. Extremely clean. Shoes off at the door. Open and inviting. I did not feel out of place at all. Entire staff was friendly and informative. Had a piercing by Wayne. Wicked nice guy. Could have stayed there for hours talking to him. Walked you through the process before he did it. Made sure you were all set with complete after care instructions.

Came here for a tattoo a few months ago, the people were generally nice and the tattoo came out well enough, but I did have a couple issues. The tattoo was a little sub par, but I think Im also just being nit-picky, either way I should have researched the artists further before making an appointment. My main issue was the rudeness of the woman working behind the desk. When the tattoo was done I was about to pay and was holding my cash and was trying to work out in my head how much to tip, and I was planning on tipping really well. Lets say the tattoo was $270, I was planning on tipping $50, I give the receptionist $300 and as I go to get more money for the tip she rudely interjects And the rest is for her right? and I just kind of looked at her and said yeah, right. So just to let you know you screwed one of your artists out of an extra $20 because you couldnt wait 5 seconds for me to get more money out or maybe you didnt think I was even going to tip or something. I wont be returning.

For my fourth tattoo I found myself in New Hampshire looking for an artist who could take me as a walk-in. (Just a small tree on my wrist.From reviews online I decided darling grey was the best place to go and let me tell you... They are fantastic!I have never felt more at ease and comfortable in a tattoo shop in my life. They were accommodating and informed, I received a BEAUTIFUL peice from Emma and I cant say enough about how great she was.I will never go anywhere else for my ink.

This place may have good artist but....too much waiting time for cosultation, almost 3 weeks, cant imagine when i would get my tattoo. Gave up went to another tattoo place......but your response was absolutely correct. My review was a bit harsh. The fact that your place is busy a is a good thing. Maybe I was just impatient.
