Absolutely awesome place took some friends to do some piercings on a weekend, there was a wait but thats to be expected. No appointments. Piercer was great, very quick and friendly. The atmosphere was calm, and the staff was super friendly and straightforward. Come in with a plan, though, because they have no interest in guessing what you want.

Absolutely love my piercing and and it was done real quick and absolutely no pain at all and my piercer was totally nice and well mannered and immediately put me at ease with his conversation love it will be returning

My buddy and I received a warm reception upon walking in to get a tattoo. After discussing our tat design with the artist James, we got some paperwork done and were directed to his space within a few minutes.While the building is older and the space looks grungy, the staff are serious about safety and cleanliness.There are tons of art of various styles for customers to choose from and so, theres no need to design your own.Furthermore, with the experience these artists have, they have seen and done sufficient tattoo designs to know what works and what doesnt.We did come with our own art as we had a specific Chinese calligraphy we wanted. James knowledge of brush strokes was diligently recreated on the skin. I know Chinese calligraphy and really appreciated his expertise in that style.

I got my nostril and septum pierced it’s a small shop had a little wait but everyone was super nice - I have terrible social anxiety but I was able to go here (idk if it was the time of day or what) and it wasn’t busy so I could handle it :) piercer did it fast efficiently. I was messing with it ( I know I know ) and the ball came off but I went back in and they helped me put it back on 🤣

Hoesntly it was good just nervous because it’s my first time ever lol😭, but the guy was pretty sweet n quick and friendly, n the staff was calm and friendly. recommend 🫶🏼

I got a piece done by James Hogan, I am very pleased with his work. Turned out very nice. I was a little upset when I went to pay, their card reader wasnt working so I had to use the atm instead to pay for my tattoo, but it was all good. I had a pleasant experience and plan on returning in the future for more tattoos. Thanks guys!

Came in last week for a name tattoo on my hip. Absolutely wonderful staff and services. They were patient, kind and prepared. I definitely recommend. Mind your manners, be respectful and there could be a price difference.

Absolutely most horrible experience, we live a couple hours away and called ahead they said as long as we made it by a certain time we actually made it actually five minutes before they mentioned and deliberately denied us and told us should have been here earlier this was the absolute worst experience I have ever experienced!!! Would never recommend to anyone!

Well they ok with piercing got my nose done here !! No problems I just don’t like they did ask how I wanted my nose ring done so I ended up with the L shaped one !! I want the straight one !! Then lost my nose ring return here to be charged 20 dollars for a damn L shaped nose ring !! Like get some damn deals going on In here!! And then some of the staff is fuxking rude not all some,and that’s not good for business!!!

So I am posting this because I don’t want anyone to get hurt or have a horrible experience like I did. I went to get a tattoo the artist Chad showed up to work late , took 4 hours just to do a outline of a tattoo. He was too busy taking smoke breaks and eating. The tattoo was poor quality, and he ended up passing out while tattooing my arm and ran the tattoo machine across my wrist and I was getting my forearm tattooed. While I was in the shop they kept making inappropriate jokes the whole time , very unprofessional. I strongly suggest to find a more reputable tattoo parlor and do some research before getting any work done tattoos or piercings from this sheisty place! I cant remember the tattoo artist name but it was a blonde female. She did my tattoo 4 years ago and it still looks amazing! My entire family goes here and we highly recommend!

Tober did a great job piercing my double helix on my right ear. Made it absolutely a breeze and painless. Loved the fact he talked to me and my girlfriends to distract me. Made it a very pleasant experience. Will definitely be back! ❤️

I got my first dermal piercings done here- three were placed in my side (left rib) two of which rejected due to improper piercing and my skin is scarred. I have been to other professionals who asked who did them because they were wrong and they removed them and recommended removing the last one (still in) . I also received two dermals in my lower back (dimples) which were not pierced even AT ALL . Another piercer corrected this error by placing two NEW dermal piercings Y to make it look better . Sadly, I wouldn’t recommend going here for this service as the piercer doesn’t know how to correctly do them . I will include pics - left bottom and top right dermals were pierced here -

Drove 30 minutes to get there and their piercer put my earrings in upside down. Complete waste of time.

Still love this place had my newest tattoo done there and Jeremy did an amazing job on the Friday the 13th tattoo I wanted. Will be back for more tattoos

I got a tongue piercing here. They got me in and out quick. They provided the salt I needed to clean my tongue, the piercing and a guide to help me through the healing process all for $40. Other shops were charging $60 to do the same thing. This shop is the best place to go if you want a piercing. It has been two weeks later and it feels great. I definitely recommend this shop. Got 2 more piercings today. The piercer was compassionate, explained in detail what he was doing and quick as lightening done with both. WONT go anywhere else. Great work but cant display pics.

I love this place! I was extremely nervous about getting a piercing and them made me feel so comfortable. The guy at the front was FANTASTIC! He was funny, welcoming, and you could tell that he actually cared about the results. I will forever come here for piercings!!

Its been a while since I visited,so this might not apply to the current piercer. However, the piercer I had was sub-par at best, botching an eyebrow piece on my child, and installing my provided jewelry in the worst way possible. He might not work there anymore. Look for a bald guy with Proud Boys tatted on the back of his head.

I went here just the other day to get my septum pierced. ONLY $50(no tax) for a horseshoe piercing which is a 16 gauge 3/8, including the jewelry and aftercare instructions! Staff was very friendly and took complete care of me! I went on a Saturday evening and they werent even busy, they deserve more business honestly! The person who did my piercing was professional and friendly! all the tools he used were sterile and taken right out of the packaging, he also wore gloves and he talked me through the piercing which relieved my anxiety so much!I did go in kinda on an empty stomach but the manager told me to go get some food then come back which I did and it made a HUGE difference, if you go, eat first lol! I LOVE my new piercing! Its so cute!Id give ten stars if I could and I am thinking of going back to get a tattoo done, I just dunno when!

Took my son to get his first piercings done. Got his septum and both ears pierced for his 15th birthday. Experience was great! Piercer was knowledgeable and did a great job calming his nerve’s. All piercing sites look great. Everything went smooth and great. Pricing was expected, but not extremely overpriced either. You get what you pay for!

The artist names James is very excellent with his lining and shading. I love my tattoo from him and he was very nice to me with good intentions, I would recommend him to everyone, giving him a shoutout because he’s amazing

I went here last April 2022 with friends and got a smiley piercing and instantly felt comfortable.I had gotten my nipples pierced by Poke Piercing in late 2020/2021, and around 8 months later, I ended up having to return to the same piercer back due to the fact I ended up having my left close up on me. When I went in he looks at my right and goes those arent straight who did them, which my confidence dropped to the floor. I got my piercing reinsert, then a lecture about using proper piercings, then paid and left.After a few months, I noticed my jewelry wasnt where I remember it being, but thought I was crazy and went on about my day. After my smiley, I decided to speak to the piercer about my issue, and not only did he confirm my issue, he also mentioned it was also to high. I ended up having to remove the jewelry and waiting a whole year to get them redone, but this time it was faster, easier, and the piercer made the process a breeze. Would 100% recommend!

Ehhhhhh definitely not the cleanest place Ive ever been to. It could definitely do with a dusting and even a remodel. All jewelry is externally threaded, which Im not a fan of. The piercing area is a little cramped, and the table they have you lay on has seen much better days, years ago.Overall the staff is nice. They are not very welcoming at first, until you approach one of them. They dont allow pictures or cellphone use inside (mostly due to people making poor decisions Im sure). I had no issues with the piercing itself. However the establishment could be more asthetically pleasing.

Girl behind counter sweet girl. The guy doing piercings great guy but the two other guys that does the tattoos one with long hair. The other one with gray hair. Super homophobic literally laughed when I asked about a tattoo. I will never go back there again and I dont recommend anybody from the LBGTQ TO NOT GO HERE! THOSE TWO GUYS WERE VERY RUDE AND DISRESPECTFUL AND I DONT KNOW WHAT A TATTOO HAD TO DO WITH MY LIFESTYLE

Went here for a septum stretch as they had one of the cheapest prices for septum bars in the city ($25 10g circular barbell) the experience was great and the people were friendly, I will return for future stretchs after confirming sanitation. Would recommend.(Edit: after owner reply to confirm sanitation I would highly recommend although I have not been pierced here I can say I would consider for future piercings and stretching)

I went in and got my double helix yesterday and I am IN LOVE! Everyone was so friendly and it was the most reasonably priced piercing I have ever gotten done. I highly recommend.

I came in in April of 2021 and the guy that did my tongue was hilarious and made me super comfortable when I said I was nervous. The guy who greeted me when i came in was nice and made me feel welcomed. The healing was super fast and I had no issues. He was really thorough in explaining the aftercare and what to expect with the healing process. Im planning on coming back soon for my lip and nose!

I got a new lip ring after almost 4 years of having the orginal stud they (another shop) pierced it with and biting it on occasion 🙃 The piercer helped me get the right size for my lip and he was so nice 💚 theyve got a great selection of jewelry. I saw some glass hangers for the ears ill have to go back for.

Amazing! I did a walk-in tattoo request and I didnt think theyd fit me in but, they did. I am so so happy with the results. They were super nice and helpful. Made me feel like Ive been coming there for years. The team works well together and their art is dope. I HIGHLY recommend going for a tattoo or a piercing. My friend got her helix done at the same time and it was so fast and easy. A great experience.

Havent been in a few years but last time I was there I had a great experience. Plus they still have one of my favorite tattooist there. He not only did my first portrait but it was his as well.

Loved the atmosphere and how great they were when getting pierced. Ive had numerous piercings, but my sister hadnt and the piercer was great with her. I only took off 1 star, because I couldnt find the coupon anywhere to be printed so I asked when I got there. Apparently I shouldve printed the profile picture and it wouldve counted. But either way, great place and awesome people.

Had a dozen piercings here over the years and always friendly staff never crooked placement. I tip before the piercing FYI!!I brought my daughter Deja to get her navel pierced last Friday, which turned out great!! She’s so happy she loves it! Thank you so much. Every time I come here everyone is so sweetTrigger warning self harm /siWhen I go through difficult times in life and I want to give up Im reminded that this piercing shop is here and that they will be so sweet and loving and kind and I can get a piercing instead of hurting myself. Ive had bad experiences with having my septum pierced before, so I was nervous about getting it done again. But the guy that pierced me reassured me and made me feel really comfortable and calm! The staff was extremely friendly and very informative! Highly recommend!

The person who does the piercing is wonderful. The sales people are rude and have no manners. Please teach your people to be professional... I wrote this review 3 years.I Went in to by earrings. I can see things havent changed. This was 1/17/22. The front desk people are so rude. They arent helpful at all. I wouldnt have went there just didnt have time to go to 23rd. Ive also been looking to get another tattoo. I might have considered spending my money there. If there going to be rude when buy earrings I sure dont want them touching my body for a tattoo.

Very nice place with very nice people,I’ve been here twice for my piercings and it’s so much cheaper compared to 23rd especially since they aren’t trying to shove a thousand different “solutions” down your throat to get that extra cash. Got my daith, tragus, and conch pierced here and that went very well. Went to get my naval pierced and it got infected due to my own negligence. Piercer and front desk person was so nice in explaining how to clean it, what exactly I should do, and what I should wear to prevent any more irritation. Will definitely come back :)

I got both ears pierced and I was in and out in under an hour! Clean, courteous and efficient. My piercer was patient super patient with me. Plus I got a great deal! I was just going to get one stud, but they had a two-for-one with hoops and I love them! My new piercings have boosted my confidence in a huge way and they suit me so well! Ill definitely be returning when Im ready to get another.

Went in for a minor piercing emergency (lost an end), the guys were helpful, patient, knowledgeable and friendly. They even put the new jewelry in for me (this might be standard practice, I haven’t bought jewelry in a shop outside of my original piercings, I usually order online). I’ll definitely be back for some more jewelry varieties soon.

Weird location with limited parking up front. The interior waiting area is kinda dark and has a moody vibe. Went for a piercing for a teenager. The piercer had a wonderful bedside manner. He was funny and warm and very reassuring to my kid who was a little nervous. Piercing looks great and healed without incident. The piercing room was well lit, very clean and equipment was sterilized. Great place, would not hesitate to go back!

The Guy that is doing the Piercing is very Cool, Professional, very knowledgeable about the Business, Piercings and aftercare. Hes AWESOME!!! I was in there July of 2020 for a double nostril piercing and i was greeted by this aggressively mean man. I came in smiling and happy and he shot my mood down the moment he spoke to me. He was extremely rude to me the entire time he had to talk to me. The guy who did my actual piercing was wonderful. He made me feel extremely welcomed, but because of the guy who I came into contact with first I will definitely never be going back. When i walk into a business i want to feel welcomed, which was not how that man made me feel that day.

Ive gotten several tattoos and a few piercings from here. Theyve all been absolutely fantastic, and some of the nicest people. They have no problem sitting down and smoothing out any ideas you might have, their work is amazing, and the pricing is exactly where it should be. One of the few places I would trust to tattoo me, and I highly recommend.

They did my nipple piercings in September. Very clean shop, friendly atmosphere, hilarious piercer, and they gave me detailed instructions to clean my piercings. They answered every question I had, and reassured me when I was slightly freaking out. Definitely go here!

My sister in law got me hooked on this place. She’s been coming for years. I got my nose pierced 6 weeks ago and it healed beautifully. The piercer was kind, clean, and funny. I’m going back for another nose piercing and a conch piercing. I will also be taking my daughter to get her nose and belly button pierced. I don’t understand why there is reviews staying they were rude. Seems like the workers like to joke around a bit which I like the vibe. Maybe you guys need to lighten up.

Absolutely incredible service. From the moment I walked into the store until I left I was treated very well and was helped with everything I needed. Such a genuinely good group people that work there. Destiny at the front desk created me as well as everyone that came in with a good attitude and with respect. I was tattooed by Jimmy and he was THE MAN. I had awesome conversation throughout the 3 hour tattoo process. He does STELLAR work and took my idea for my tattoo and made it come to life. Thank you for everything guys. I would definitely go back again in a heart beat.

I got two piercings here back in November with the buy one get one half off promotion. I don’t remember my piercers name but he was bald and buff, he was great!! The placement of both was perfect and he went over the aftercare very thoroughly and they have been healing very nicely. I recommend this place to anyone who asks!

Long wait but theyre not trying to pump people in and out of the place. Piercing actually takes his time to get to know you and put you at ease. Great environment overall and Im in love with my vertical labret. Reasonable prices and very professional staff.

First time I came here, I got a single forward helix piercing. It was good. But the next time I came here, I wanted 3 piercings on my cartilage. I payed 90 dollars for a very bad job. They pierced them way too close to each other and the earrings were on top of each other. So the piercings werent able to heal and I had to take them out.I dont know how someone professional can do such a bad job. He seemed like he was in a hurry. Bad service:(

My wife went in there and wanted a bellybutton piercing and a fat man with glasses told her to show him her belly in front of the whole place and said no I cant do that because of her having scars of being pregnant. He should of as a professional take her into another room to say that not in the lobby. We turned around and went to a different place and they did it with no hesitations.

Got my labret done here about a month and a half ago. Good service and little to no pain, good pricing too! Buuuut... went to change my jewelry the other day and noticed they use external threaded jewelry. Youd think a professional piercing shop would know better. Didnt even think to ask before getting pierced because i really thought they knew! A bit upsetting tbh cause now im not going to use the jewelry i paid for. Other than that, though, a good place.

Very friendly people. Funny and fun to be around. I got a tattoo by Stephanie and I love it. She helped me pick out my tattoo. Told me what she thinks would be good, asked me what I was interested in and really listened. Overall the best experience I have ever had I am definitely going back to get more tattoos!!!!!

I’ve gotten 6 piercings from this shop and use to rate them 5 stars.. but I see that the more customers, the worse their attitude gets. The owner in the front is mad disrespectful and because the piercer was so high he lost track of who was next on the list to be pierced, I was almost skipped TWICE. I opened my mouth to state that I was the one next, and the owner disrespected me calling me a big mouth as if I wasn’t already taking a risk allowing his stoned piercer to touch my ear to begin with. After 6 piercings, I’ll never be back. Y’all’s professionalism was trash one to many times.

Well priced, especially for body piercings (get the buy 1 get 1 half off deal on their website). I had a good experience getting my tattoo from Irish. I love it! Ive gotten 4 of my ear piercings from then and have had amazing results.

I got a Medusa piercing and I had to take it out the very next morning because it was done very, very crooked and it was almost poking out if my mouth.The man who did my piercing was nice but there was another guy who incredibly rude and barged in on my friend and I when I was getting pierced. He threatened to smash my friends phone because he thought we were filming (we had asked and my piercer told us no videos but pics were okay so thats what we did) even after she had shown him she wasnt filming.Overall it was an awful experience, I would never ever go there again and I would never tell anyone to go there.

Very arrogant/rude people. The tattoo artist never asked what font or anything I wanted for MY tattoo and when I gave my opinions he looked at me like I had 5 heads, like my ideas weren’t as good as his or just annoyed that I didn’t like what he did. I left because I figured out my license was expired and called them to ask if I could make an appointment for the next week, telling them I was just there etc. and he said they don’t do appointments over the phone and I just simply asked why no one told me that while I was there since they knew I was leaving because I wasn’t able to get the tattoo that day. and he said “well why didn’t you ask us” in a very rude way. They’re rude and don’t care about their customers. I will not be going back. Their prices might be cheaper, but not worth going through feeling like you’re just annoying to them the whole time because they just want to do what they want to do, not what you want to do for YOUR OWN tattoo that’s going on your body for the rest of your life.

This will now be my go to for any body modification! They were exceptional. Tober pierced my belly button. I have had skin removal surgery and he told me to see him in 2 weeks to check it for migration. He educated me about what to look for. Well sure enough a week later, it was tight. I popped back in, they remembered me and he got it taken care of! So freaking nice!!!Ive been to 23rd and SB. Mystical is 3 levels above. You can see and feel that they are passionate about what they do. I appreciate their dedication to excellence and safety; not to mention their respect for my time! It was such a smooth and quick experience.Youve made a customer for life and Mystical will be my recommendation to all my friends and family. A+

The first time I got pierced there I was 18, I’m almost 20 now and still only go there. Always nice, clean and professional with every thing every time I have came. Just got my septum pierced and the piercer clean my tears and said “Don’t wanna mess up her lashes”. Literally the best place to get pierced.

Ive been here numerous times and then recently tonight. I got my nipple done tonight and I was really happy with how nice the guy was that did it. The people at the counter were really nice and helped ease my fears and answer my questions. All in all a great experience.

I went in there and the guy was just plain rude to my teenager. We were buying jewelry for her piercings. Ive been in customer service industry for over 20 years. You dont cuss in front of kids or customers. Its not professional. I dont care what industry youre in. You dont cuss at kid when theyve been respectful the whole time.I will never go again.

I’ve had every one of my 6 piercings done by Tober. All the staff is extremely professional, helpful, and extensively knowledgeable. Once you get home, they’re more than happy to continue to help/answer any questions or guide you with aftercare of piercings and tattoos. There is no other shop around that maintains the level of safety & cleanliness. When each our 3 daughters wanted to get their noses/belly buttons pierced at 16 we felt very comfortable allowing it due to the high standards of this shop. We’ve also had all our tattoos done here, we highly recommend James! He’s an AMAZING artist! Don’t even try going anywhere else, why risk your health and safety when this is the best place there is!

This is the 1st and only place I thought to take her even though I am on the other side of town. The wait usually isnt too long; but like any place worth going they can get busy sometimes. The wait is never horrible because of the fun atmosphere. Plus they have been around forever!

I got pierced here for the first time at 15, I was scared and excited and the piercer was very nice and considerate, as I’ve aged I’ve continued to go here, I’ve gotten my septum and bridge done and well and bringing my boyfriend here to get his septum don. They are very warm and welcoming and I always feels at home in the shop. I can’t wait to go back today at 17 to get two more piercings done.

Last week was my first time getting any of my piercings done professional and I got my tounge. The guy who did it was extremely nice and funny he calmed me down with me being extremely nervous and even gave me a compliment. Best place ever Ill be going again tonight to get my belly button pierced. ❤

I was only in for a short while(quick nose piercing) but I loved the place! The shop smelled amazing, everything looked clean, and employees were kind. My piercer handled me well and even joked with me. I even got to see him unwrap a brand new sterile needle so Im confident in their cleanliness. I definitely suggest Mystical Illusions :)

Very professional.. I got a dermal. Due to the location on my face near the eye.. I was told up front that the location was not possible and why.. With this in mind I was give a location near where I wanted that was safe.. I was told what to expect pain wise and proper care.. Just on a side note.. I asked about a exsisting tattoo about repair work.. Much to my dismay I was told repair was not possible. But the honesty was great.. No one tried pushing services. Just honesty. Love the professionalism..

Went and got my nipples done today with a friend and I was EXTREMELY nervous. Tober was super kind and patient with me and made sure everything was perfect. I’d definitely come back and see him again! Plus everyone else were awesome as well.

I’ve had a few piercings done here. Tober is amazing at what he does. Very knowledgeable and calming. For walk-in on a Saturday I’ve never had to wait more than 30-45 minutes to be pierced!

I just went again today. Im not sure why people are complaining. Ive been here 3 times now and not 1 time has anyone been rude, everyone has spoken unless they are with a customer. Ive only seen the piercer and always forget to get his name. But hes done a wonderful job and explains whats going to be happening. I would recommend this place and WILL be going back in the future.

Got my lip pierced and it was not centered, I told the piercer that it was not centered! He argued with me and said it was because of swelling… the lip was not even swollen yet, however I still went home waited the 3 months (he told me that is when it would be centered) even then it still wasn’t centered I called and he told me he would re-pierce it (and have to pay to get it re-pierced).. I will not get my lip re-pierced here if you couldn’t even get it done right the first time!

I got my first piercing here, I was extremely nervous and uncontrollably shaky. The guy who did it was very patient despite having a moving target and make me feel very comfortable, explaining what he was doing and why. I will definitely be back for any future tattoos and piercings!

I went in a week ago to get my nose pierced with a hoop and the lady at the counter giving me the options of which one I wanted was very nice. As I went in to the room to get the piercing done I popped my knee out of place and the piercer was giving me advice on how to deal with it! He was very professional and helpful! Definitely recommend!

Got a lip piercing today. The guy at the counter was very polite with great personality ❤ Also the guy that did the piercing even though he was really tired because they were really busy due to not many tatoo shops doing piercings but yet still he kept me calm n talked me through the whole process. He didnt let being tired affect his work or attitude. I never even told him I was scared but he sensed it anyway. I would recommend them to anyone❤

Came in today to get my tongue re pierced because it was incorrectly done many many years ago in someones apartment 🙈 needless to say, the experience today was great! Went in on a Saturday for a walk in tattoo, they had a lot of business so they stopped taking walk in tattoos shorty after I had walked in, they also had a two hour wait for piercings, so word of advice, go on a weekday, or schedule. My tattoo came out as expected, and I am definitely satisfied, Irish did an awesome job!

Mystical illusions is definitely a place that i would recommend for anyone to go and get pierced or tattoos at. They have a great atmosphere and attitude always. They also have been there a log time and know what they are both doing and talk about. Keep up the great work everyone there!

Management was extremely rude. Left without getting the salt for my piercing because no one told me I was supposed to have it. I mean the fat white dude was extremely rude and unprofessional. I will not be back or recommend this place to anyone. I just learned the owner is out of the country. Thats why the manager is so rude I guess because he knows he can get away with it.

Came down yesterday, 11/5/21, to get my lobes pierced 3 months after a keloid removal and my doctor said it was okay to get it repierced. A tall man with glasses and a beard greeted me when I came in, I told him my situation. He felt my ear and said there was to much scar tissue in it still, recommended miderma to help break down the scarring and recommended I wait a few more weeks and come back. Though I was turned down, I was given instruction on how to resolve the issue and encouraged to come back at a later time. This man was very nice and very professional. See you in a few weeks guys!

Have taken my daughter and myself here to be pierced quite a few times and never had a problem with the piercings or anything related to that.The problem came after I drove across town to have a septum piercing and was refused service due to the fact I didn’t have a newer hard license.The state is providing paper licenses due to the license changes coming soon but are 100% legal.Have been legal and accepted by officers during a wreck and to purchase alcohol and tobacco.But the girl who I’ve noticed is quite contrary to all refused to take it stating the state wouldn’t allow.Which makes zero sense due to the fact the state issues them.I will not return and will spend my money and get my piercings elsewhere from now on.

These guys are always awesome. Tober has pierced me several times. He takes the time to tell you how to care of your new piercing. He also yells at you if you put sunscreen on your face and infected your new piercing LOL but hey it cleared up. I definitely would recommend them for any piercings or tattoos. After the great experience I’ve had there I probably won’t try any other shop! (And I’ve also seen them carry heavy bags for little old ladies across the street while they shopped on their breaks at Walgreens. So sweet and amazing guys!)

I got my septum pierced and for my second time yesterday and they actually did it right. The other place I went to for my first time messed it up. Mystical Illusions showed me what I should do and explained to me step by step on how to take care of my septum. I will definitely be going to this place again. Amazingly friendly people

Literally this place is AMAZING! I was skeptical at first bc of the location but I got my navel pierced and it was only $35!!!!!! My friend and I went together and the guy who did it was SO KIND!!!! I forgot his name :( but he was soooo perfect and I have a fear of needles but he literally was amazing! I give him 10/5 stars!! I will always recommend this spot and I am so thankful for the guy who did our piercings, he was fabulous!!!!!!!

I went here with my grandfather-in-law. He wanted to get his ear pierced for his 60th birthday. We didn’t have an appointment but the staff was extremely welcoming and got us in and out quickly. Shop seemed clean.

I went into the shop yesterday 5/20/21 to buy jewelry for my industrial. I knew when it was pierced at 23rd St that they used a smaller gauge than they typically would because of my ear anatomy. So I asked the woman for jewelry that would fit my piercing. She looked at my current piercing. I even took the jewelry out so she could get a good look at it. She gave me the jewelry she said would fit..I questioned her if she was sure (it looked larger)..she ensured me that it would fit perfect. I get home and it’s huge! She gave me a 14g when mine is a 20g! It obviously did not fit and I don’t want to gauge this piercing.I called shortly after I arrived home and tried to wear the new jewelry that didn’t fit. I wanted to return the jewelry for an exchange/refund which they refused.Although I understand why they can’t accept the jewelry, I wish they would have tried to do ANYTHING to right the wrong.Go to 23rd St..it’s more $$$ but they are at least knowledgeable and have some integrity for their work/business.

The big man is rude, he expects people not to defend themselves when he catches an attitude, for no reason, with you. I was waiting to get a piercing and it was my turn but I got up calmly and walked to the room to make sure other people werent going ahead of me and sat back down and suddenly I hear him saying something and I look at him and hes talking to me! Im confused at the moment? I was waiting patiently and I never once became impatient or angry or o would understand why hes mad. Im gonna look for another piercing shop and taking my business somewhere else I dont recommend this place.

I have taken two daughters for naval piercings at 16. All the staff are very nice and Tober is great at calming the nerves of the girls. I hope to get mother daughter tattoos asap but living two hours away and having to make an appointment in person only is a lot.

Rude and very rushed employees. Went in to get h2ocean for my nose piercing and the guy was extremely rude and gave me very short answers to questions making me feel dumbfounded. Then he proceeded to ask for my i.d. for my card which no one has ever asked for but my name isnt even on the card because its prepaid? Ive considered getting a tattoo and piercing from them before but have decided against it due to impatience and unsatisfactory customer service experience. I would not trust them with the technique or aftercare of a piercing or tattoo ever. Learn some customer service skills please. Youre messing with someone elses body and theyre trusting you with that. 0 stars.

Got my first non traditional piercing there and they were nice and quick. The guy who did it knew I was nervous and was very nice about it. Made sure I was okay and gave me plenty of info on after care.

This was 5 stars until my piercing gave me hives and rashes. Before getting my nose pierced, I told the guy behind the counter that before I had gotten an allergic reaction from the surgical steel piercings and needed hypoallergenic ones. He proceeded to dismiss me and said surgical steel was the basics and if anything happened I could come back to fix the issue. Well 1 day later I started getting skin patches and hives. By then it was too late because they are closed Sunday and Monday. I wouldve had to wait days to fix an issue that never shouldve happened in the first place if they had just listened to me and what I wanted my body to be pierced with. In the end I had to go to 23rd body piercing where they gave me the correct piercings. The piercer is a cool dude and does good work but I cant go back to a shop where I voice concerns for my health and they are shot down instantly. I literally have hives on my forehead.

I hadnt been there in about 7 years and I was told its good to see you again. Theyre professional and friendly. Ive been pierced and tattooed here and Ill definitely be back. Thanks for making me feel at home, yall!

Went in for my first tattoo with Irish. It was a complicated lettering one in the ribs. He was very easy and made the process go as smooth as possible. It took less time than what I expected, and it also was less painful than what I thought it would be. Definently glad that Irish worked on it ! I was extremely happy with the results. I love my tattoo. Deff will come back w Irish for future projects.Only negative is that he did cancel on me a couple times (busy). But I wasnt in a hurry. They returned my deposit money during cancelations. I didnt mind. Other than that he was very professional and Im definitely 100% satisfied with his work.

Staff is rude and unprofessional. Not a one-off occurrence we have been in probably 5-6 times in the past two years for a piercing or for jewelry and without fail, busy or not, the people working the lobby are rude.

Genuinely nice people, super friendly but totally messed up my vertical labret. Pierced crooked, they also have no regard for COVID not one person was wearing a mask. Unfortunately the piercing qualities outweigh the hospitality, save your money and go to 23rd and body street!

If this place could get 0 stars it would!!!!! Just left their shop and it’s no wonder they are running a special for buy 1 piercing get 1 half off. Instantly met at counter with a rude worker followed by another rude worker coming up to take ID. Never been treated like this place treats customers. Needless to say we walked out with out getting any services done. Never in a million years would I spend a dime in this place total joke. If you would treat people better you wouldn’t have to run a special to try and get customers in the door.

Okay so this was my first tattoo and I got it from bobby and it turned out AMAZING. Please please please dont go here. GO down the street to either Big Daddys Tattoo or Atomic Lotus. Not only are they cleaner and nicer inside, the customer service is WAY better. My tattoo guy sucked. The first time all he did was trace letters so i thought he was good and went back to him for him to finish my tattoo. The second time he drew it himself and i didnt notice the crooked and unevenness of the tattoo until I go home. I called them and asked when that guy would be back in and they told me a day so i drove all the way up there and he WASNT there. Some fat guy who was stuffing his face on lunch with his boyfriend was rude and said that I had a perfect tattoo. apparently hes blind as well as overweight. They are rude and DONT waste your money on a place who needs help with socializing with people. Also the first time I went in with my fiance and they were more tame, the second time I went in with my cousin and they were vulgar and talked about pu**y and cl*ts to me. I realize they tattoo people and feel like they have a trashy nature to live up to BUT what you do doesnt define who you are, necessarily. Please take all of the more NEGATIVE reviews into account then the positive, because the positive are most likely due to lack of intelligence or are written by the tattoo artists themselves. Tober is top notch! Ill never go anywhere else. Had a dermal removed and my nostril pierced. The removal was quick and relatively painless. The piercing caused a single tear to roll down my face. This guy, he wiped away my tear before I had a chance ❤️ and gave me a 🍭!!

I have actually been going to Mystical Illisions for almost 5 years theyve done a couple tattoos which Ive been very happy with Isaac has done my tattoos hes really nice. I really love Tweetie hes the manager up there! Theyve done all my piercings and I have never had any problems or infections with the piercings. Theres been times that Ive had to have x-rays, MRIs CT scans and I had to take the jewelry out and get repairs but I couldnt be happier with them I definitely highly recommend them. Infections. Staff is very friendly! Theres been times Ive had to take out my piercings due to having to get an MRI, CT scan or x-ray and the whole had closed up and they always do my route piercings and that usually hook me up. I love these guys theyre great

Had a terrible experience. Messed up my tattoo and then wasn’t willing to work around my schedule to get it fixed. Shop opened at 12 but the guy wasn’t willing to come in an hour early at open to fix it. I eventually just stopped trying.

I got my ears repierced by tober he was very sweet and made me feel better about getting them done. It didnt hurt as bad as I thought it would, because he was so nice. He also gave me a hug and a lollipop after. The earring fell out the next day...

Tober! Is my absolute favorite! He has been piercing me for almost a decade and, I still get compliments on all my piercings all the time! Hes highly educated and is always extremely aware of his sanitary practices! He helps educate you and tell you whats best and hes always right! Got a dermal almost a year ago. Went again today for a 2nd one and Tober noticed my original one was poking out too far due to my baby nephew grabbing it about a month ago. He fixed it for me at no charge!!! Highly recommend him for all your piercings!!!! 💖💖

Got my 2nd tattoo here by James (I believe... I may be wrong on the name). Great experience, pretty quick, about 45min tattoo, decent price and relativly pain free. Didnt go over the aftercare very much but I remembered from my 1st tattoo. Good place, quick on the spot walk in. Happy with my experience and I LOVE my tattoo.

I was charged 30 dollars more when I went to pay than my artist had told me the price would be for my tattoo, and I fully believe it was because I was a girl getting my first tattoo.I have also WITNESSED them telling people different prices who look differently.My tattoo goes OUT OF THE LINES from the design I had drawn up. The shading goes OUT OF THE LINES.They were extremely rude to me. And I really cant believe this is a business. I am stuck with a horrible tattoo for the rest of my life that looks like it was drawn by a two year old, and my artist was suppose to be one of the best in the shop.He tried to put color in my tattoo without me knowing it, I specifically told him I wanted a black and grey tattoo only. If my tattoo would have been on my back or somewhere I wouldnt have been able to watch him doing it, I believe it would have color I didnt ask for, and didnt want in it.Utterly horrible experience, and now Im marked with an awful tattoo for the rest of my life, that I will have to get re done. Everyone I talk to says the same thing about them. DO NOT GET TATTOOED HERE.Honestly, youd be better off getting a garage tattoo.

The main guy is rude they dont ask if you have time to wait. He was unprofessional to me as I stated we had been waiting for a long time and I was ready to go. He said that I had no patience and would I like it if people cut in front of my daughter but people were coming in after my daughter and was being seen. My daughter was last in the shop besides the people walking in.

I had a very good experience on getting a tattoo at Mystical Illusions today. My artist James did a very good job on my forearm and the lines are crisp and clean and he didnt dig into my arm with the needle and the staff was extremely helpful with choosing the right font and size for my piece on my forearm. The funniest people work here! I got a piercing here and I was terrified..they made me feel really comfortable and at ease about getting my piercing! And if you ever need help or questions they will definitely help you! I recommend this place if you want a tattoo or piercing!

I had a very poor experience here. If youre looking, I would reccommend looking elsewere. First impressions matter, and while the tattoo artist, piercers, and the manager were all super nice, whoever was working front of shop was pretty rude. Often looking as though she was disinterested in anything potential clients were concered about. EDIT: to add, they use externally threaded jewelry which sucks for your piercing. Look around. Do some reasearch. Dont go here.

Got my 13th piercing today. Tober did an amazing job, as usual, on my VCH piercing. He is always the perfect combination of professional and personable. I was nervous about this one even though Ive had my nipples pierced which is thought to be more painful. I went by myself and for myself. No boyfriend or husband to impress or hold my hand. Tober made me feel so comfortable. I highly recommend him.

The piercer, as usual, is awesome! Three of us went in. He did a VCH, Septum, Upper Navel, and Double Helix in less than an hour (between the three of us). He is always friendly (hes done my bottom navel, VCH, nostril and septum) and professional. Highly recommend!

I got my belly button pierced here a few years ago and I remember them being jerks. Nothing has changed.I went in a few days ago to get my first tattoo and, again, everyone were jerks. From the staff, to the people that were just hanging out. They immediately made fun of my Pinterest tattoo that I showed them. I dont care how many times youve seen that tattoo or where I found it. If it means something to your customer, you lose business if you bash them on it.Then the artist that was supposed to be talking to me about my tattoo just left and went to go do someone elses.All in all, it was very uncomfortable. I went somewhere else (amazing experience!) and I will never go back to Mystical Illusions.

Went in to get a consultation on pricing for a tattoo. Spoke with somebody there, very unenthusiastic, very monotone. When somebody else went behind the desk he leaned over to just get his opinion on the piece and everything and the other guy was extremely rude, and stated no you can do it, i am not doing pricings today. he didnt turn around or anything, just sat down looking the opposite way, didnt utter another word.Absolutely the worst experience I have had at a tattoo parlor ever.My suggestion, do not go there. For a general rule of thumb, in my opinion, do not get a tattoo from anybody who is not enthusiastic about it.

Accommodating and friendly. James has been my artist for a few tattoos and my wifes artist for most of hers. He always puts in his two cents to make sure your tattoo will last. He instructed my wife not to have a quote with small lettering, because in a few years itll be illegible. On a separateoccasion, f,or my tattoo, he changed the font for the same reasoning, and still kept it in a style that worked! Very talented and respectful. We will definitely go back.

I had my industrial done here and I was never sent home with solvents for my ear they said just to give it time. Well it’s been 6 months and my ear is still swollen so I just went to another shop and they took it out and examined it and said it was pierced wrong and they used jewelry from China which can Ben made of any material and wasn’t safe for my ear. $30 I can’t get back

Got a memorial tattoo. Irish was respectful of my connection to not only the phrase but the lettering and talked with me as long as I was willing. Beautiful tattoo, has healed perfectly. All black, I have no patchiness.

They know their stuff. They get the job done quick, and they do it right. The rooms are always clean and the staff are friendly amd no nonsense about piercings and tattoos- they keep it real with you on tattoo choices too.

For an industry based on a premise of being non judgemental and supporting self expression, these guys were unreasonably rude. They actually told me the wrong direction for the bathroom at one point and laughed at my confusion when I couldnt find it. Perhaps, if Id worn leather pants, rather than a sundress, I would have fit into their stereotype. Not only were they just downright unpleasant, but my tattoo was BADLY faded a year later, when I got another one down the street at Atomic Lotus, where they couldnt have been friendlier. That guy actually touched it up for free and told me it shouldnt have faded so much, so soon. That was over a year ago and they both still look great. Save your money and skip this dump and the incompetent jerks who run it.

This place was amazing. I was super scared seriously. The guy who had me fill out the info was all sweet (and sexy :) ) Then after I paid the $35 to do my monroe (which is cheap trust me I called around) I went in the other room to get the piercing. The guy knew I was nervous.So he started joking and talking to me. That helped me alot. The guy was very quick, I didnt feel much pain. Wish I would have got his name but he had many piercings on his eyebrows.Just wanted to say thank you very much guys. YOU Rock !!!

I paid Irish $200 and this is what I ended up with. It is not finished. Also was told sorry, no refunds afterwards. All I am asking for, was half of what I paid initially, which would be $100 and he refuses to do so. He will not tattoo me nor pay me back. I feel like this is unfair.

Ive gotten two piercings at Mystical Illusions so far (I plan on getting more) both great experiences, everyone I talked to is so nice. I highly recommend this place! & whoever says they were rude probably gave them good reason to be lol

Irish is the best! Traveled from Tulsa for my 2nd tattoo by him. Several family members have been tattooed by him also. Will definitely make another trip for next one.

Ive been coming here since 2012 to get pierced by Tober. He is seriously the kindest person and is always down to help me change my jewelry (my double tragus isnt something i can change alone). Will never go anywhere else, Tober has always been extremely professional, sanitary, kind and helpful. Ive gone with friends to get pierced at other shops and have never seen the unmatched quality and service that can be found at mystical illusions anywhere else in okc.

I tried to get a piercing here today. They had the tiniest pieces of jewelry. Their selection left much to be desired. The woman behind the counter wasnt very nice either. Wouldnt recommend.

My daughter went there for lip piercing and the bar was too short again, so again her lip swell up and damn near closed over the ring. So she ending up going to have it removed and getting a longer bar at somewhere else.

I got my dermal piercing here over almost a year ago and forgot to post.......... my experience was amazing I was scared to get them the guy was understanding and did not pressure me or rush me to get it ... he was really sweet and talked me through the entire process I will be returning there for any piercings.

Very professional and clean. Shoutout to Toebear, caring attitude and very patient. I will definitely drive the 5+ hours to have him do all my piercings.

Terrible customer service. I’ve gone multiple times and am always treated horribly by the front desk both the women and male - worst attitude and never helpful even talk down on you in front of you. The piercer himself is great only reason I wouldn’t rate 1 star.

I went to the shop and asked if my fiancé and I could get a tattoo at first the guy was friendly and obliging. The moment I went to the front to talk to the tattoo artist he was a jerk. I dont mind going around the bs talk and being straight up but the moment you start talking to me like Im some idiot and speed me through and try to change MY mind on MY tattoo I have a problem. I felt pressured and they were extremely rude. Please save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else. Dont go to a place that degrades what you believe would be awesome and dont get pressured into something that will stick for a lifetime. Dont feel like a fool either. Apparently they do this to a lot of people.

$35 for piercing is a great deal, when they also include a generous amount sea salt and mouthwash.also dude who pierced me gave me a sucker afterwards(A RED ONE. walked out of there feelin like a champ)A+++ would get impaled with sharp object by this business again

The guy who did my nose and vertical labret piercing made me feel so welcomed. I was a bit scared of getting it done, but he made me feel like it was nothing! I only get my piercings here!

I had a terrible experience!! The staff was super rude and my piercer was no better! He barely spoke a word to me. He did not explain aftercare and overall was just a jerk. I should have walked out but lesson learned. I will never recommend this place.

I would not recommend going here!!I went to get a industrial piercing.The staff seemed nice but the guy who did my piercing fee hand pierced it and didnt clean it before he pierced it.Now i have what I believe is becomeing an infection. (Ive been cleaning it and soaking it but it still have bumps on both ends and it hurts) was done over 2 months agoHe literally went to the side I said I wanted it done, looked at it.I thought he was about to claen it but no it was over in seconds. He didnt mark it or ask my opinion about anything as far as location. Then gave me a paper with cleaning instuctions and salt .I WILL NEVER GO BACK or ADVISE ANYONE TO GO HERE!!

This place was rubbish I had to get all the piercings I got done there redone bc when I was younger I got my triple helix done there and my tragus and my tragus were very shallow done and fell out after a month and my helix well they were not done with good quality jewelry and my ears tried to grow over them. When I went in to see about them I was told that my tragus looked fine even tho it clearly didn’t and I ended up in emergency surgery once my ear finally had enough of my jewelry they used for my helix piercing. So save ur money and go to a different place

These people that talk bad,or say how awful they are,really dont know what the hell theyre talking about. I know Isaac, he did a few of my tattoos,and Seth too. He did a few alien heads on my 2 fingers and did a great job. Yeah they need to be redone,but thats not his fault fingers dont heal well anyway. But seth,Isaac,tweetie,and James are the best there Ive known them for a fee years now. Yes I like atomic lotus tattoo too. I used to only go there in the past for years or sense they opened in 2005. But I stopped for a reason,they started jacking me around, raising prices,and the guy Ive known there for years just got more rude to me through the years. And Ive known Jason king there at atomic lotus for years sense I went to 23rd street body piercing to get my piercings way back in 1998 or 1999. Anyway I prefer mystical illusions tattoos and body piercing for the past 3 to 4 years at least now. And I love them theyre clean, follow health and safety standards. And the guys there are totally groovy far out too. They rock totally. Im 38 years old. And I prefer mystical illusions over atomic lotus now. Anyway. Trust your gut and leave bad vibes is all you will get from here .This place should be reported to the Better Business Bureau of Investigations and to the health department Just Go to atomic lotus they are more professional and nicer then mystical illusions. ok we Went to mystikal illiosions in there to get my husband a price quote on a tattoo we walked in and it looked dark and filthy dirty and all the guys looked like rude rough drunk drugged out bikers that just starred us down made us feel uncomfortable like they wanted to fight us then they told us he either could do a 300 crappy job or a 600 dollar job we walked out and said how bout no job at all! When we first walked in and they didnt even great us or acted professional please go somewhere else I got bad vibes from there we let immediately

Seriously so freaking rude. Dont waist your time here they are inconsiderate. Honestly the best place to go is bigdaddys tattoo shop. Every time Ive came to mystical illusions my piercings would end up infected or crooked. Friend got a tattoo done here and it was super lazy work.
