Cashe did the sleeve on my left arm, I LOVE it! The shop is clean, great atmosphere, and high quality tattoos! I am constantly getting complemented on my tattoos. We even got first place at a tattoo convention!Ciara did my nose and clutch piercings, she also did one for my daughter. She walked us through every step and made sure we were comfortable with the placement. I highly recommend going to Ciera for your piercings!

Great spot! I really enjoy the relaxed atmosphere. I have engaged with at least three different artists here, and they all have produced exceptional results. I rated them with four stars instead of five solely because on all three occasions, the final cost exceeded the original price quote by a significant amount, varying by hundreds of dollars. However I love tatts and I wouldn’t let that stop you from using them.

Gus did a phenomenal job on my husbands tattoo. He was amazing to work with and truly listened to what my husband wanted. Also I got my daughter a piercing from Ciara and she is an absolute sweetheart. She took amazing care of my daughter and her piercing looks great! Will definitely continue to go to their shop for all tattoos and piercings.

Got my flat (inner conch) pierced today by Ciara and it was a great experience. She’s SO nice and very knowledgeable. I wanted to make sure this piercing would work for my ear (yes, not all piercings work on all ears) and she was positive it would. She was right! I’ve gotten two different piercings done by Ciara. She did an amazing job both times. I’m getting ready to go in again to get a third piercing and even though I no longer live near this shop I would rather make the drive to go to an amazing shop that I’ve had a great experience at rather than go anywhere else. Next piercing on my list is my Tragus and I am super excited to have Ciara do it for me.

Came in for a piercing with a couple of friends. They have a “first come, first served” policy on their website. When we arrived it was busy but they said it would only be about a 30 minute wait. It took over 2 hours before we were welcomed back for our piercings.Extremely frustrating

The wait took forever (nearly 3 in total). the sole piercer there took a break during our wait and none of the management told us anything about that. the music was so loud i couldn’t hear myself think, much less the quiet receptionist when she tried to update us with the same wait time we’d gotten an hour before. ended up leaving before being taken back due to other obligations. poor management of time and resources.

I highly recommend taking your littles here for their first ear piercing.After reading great reviews, I decided to take my 5 yo daughter there, and they were amazing! I called ahead to make sure there were 2 piercers available (to do both ears at the same time) before we went since piercings are on a walk-in only basis. They copied the birth certificate and my ID, then took us back to the cute piercing room with a nice chair and a big mirror.They were very sweet with my daughter and explained the process to her before it happened. She was told she would do a deep breath in and out and her ears would be pierced before she finished breathing out. They had her do a practice breath first, to make sure she understood the directions, then did the piercing on the exhale of the second breath. The whole experience was quick and not a tear from my little one.They were also very accommodating to my whole family (her parents and little sibling) standing around and watching. Afterwards, they offered both kids a sucker and a pinwheel as a parting gift.Such a positive experience!

I had gotten my lower back Dermals pierced here a few months back during their sale by a different girl, eventually they started rejecting and went back in and Ciara helped me try and save them unfortunately they kept rejecting so I had to go back in to get them both removed and Ciara took amazing care of me, making sure I was okay the whole time walking me through the process making me less nervous. Highly recommend!

I absolutely love this place. My artist I forgot his name but he did amazing I’m just bad with names lol. The entire time it was nice. My tattoo only hurt when it came to the white ink but that’s just my experience finished product and before I will definitely be using this place for all my other tattoos I have planned

I got my second tattoo more then nine years later. this is something Ive wanted for over 15 years but never had the money to quite put it into reality today I decided to just go for it and I couldnt be happier it came out so good. My artist Jim at Art of the Heart Tattoo & Piercing Riverton Utah was amazing he put up with all my questions and worries about it not turning out right and even my squeals of pain and in the end it was exactly what I wanted and I was right to trust him he has a great artistic eye And knows what will look good before its even on your skin. Im very happy with how it turned out and my overall experience. Jim kept me calm and at ease and made sure I was comfortable the whole time even giving me breaks to vape even though he wasnt getting paid more even though it took longer. Im extremely satisfied and will be returning to Jim for my next tattoo ideas in the futureEdit: I just got a 2nd tattoo from Jim and it was just as amazing and perfect. It was exactly what I wanted and hes friendly to talk too which important with someone you have to sit next to for hours. We loved it so much we came back the next day to have jim do a piece for my bf for his first tattoo ever. And he made sure it was exactly what he wanted which was important as he is autistic. If I could give jim 10 gold shinning stars I would I recommend him to everyone.

Gus is an amazing artist! I was getting my first tattoo and wanted my dogs paw. I did my research and decided on Gus Byrd. I sent him picture of the paw and he took it from there. He was nice and took the time to make sure the rendering was perfect before he started. I would recommend anyone to him for realistic work.

I came to Utah from Oregon to visit my bestie and we wanted to get matching tattoos. First this place was so adorable and very clean. We did the gum-ball machine to pick out matching tattoo. James and Tyler did great with communicating with each other so they can make sure they were using the same techniques so that tattoos match. They where both great to make sure we where comfortable while giving us our tattoos. Thank you guys! Hope to come back next time I am in town.

Took my 6 year old and 4 year old to get their ears pierced. After the first one my 6 yo daughter didn’t want the other one done. It took a while to calm her and she was very over the top and dramatic. The piercer was very comforting and patient and worked so well with us to get it done. Super happy with our experience there.

Ive been wanting to get my dogs pawprintd tattooed for the last several months, and when I reached out to Art of the Heart via email I got a quick and thorough response from one of their artists, Jim! During the days leading up to my appt he asked a lot of questions and made sure he knew what I wanted. I am very impressed with the communication, and his work! I will definitely be returning in the future.

I received a tattoo from Tyler, one of the artists. I am happy with the result of my tattoo. However, I felt like his attention was elsewhere a lot of the time, either talking to other customers that walked in, or taking multiple smoke breaks. I feel I was charged for those smoke breaks and the time that he was not tattooing or working with me. I was told it was $150 an hour. Something like this size and detail should have taken no longer than 2-3 hours MAX! If so many smokes breaks weren’t taken and cycling through employees to help out customers it would have not taken as long and I wouldn’t have had to pay for probably close to an hour that is for smoke breaks and busy with other customers. I left after 4 hours paying $600 after it all.

Their artwork is amazing and I have loved my piercings. Recommend for small child piercings as well

I had an amazing experience with this shop I got a septum and a tongue piercing and it was the best experience I’ve had my piercer was so nice she walked me through everything she was going to be doing and she made small talk to keep my mind off of things. I am a minor and had some complications finding a proper for for my dad to take me and it took me about 3-4 days to figure everything out and they were extremely kind and understanding through the whole process. I would and will definitely be recommending this place and I’ll definitely go back in the future!

Ive been working with Keoni on a cover up/full sleeve. Hes been great to work with, and everyone at the shop is super supportive and positive. To be completely honest, I started here because it was close and had good reviews. But after my experience, Id be willing to drive from much further for the care, support, and great customer service Ive had there. I came in for a consultation and left the artist keoni my design and made an appointment for 6 days later . He said he would sketch up my design for the tattoo. I was contacted on the day of the appointment by him and he ask to push back the appointment by an hour because was running behind. I came in at the new time and he was on the phone. He did notboth to come and speak to me after the call was ended. I sat their for 30 min before he came ansk asked about my design. He had not even drawn it . While I was waiting they had me fill out paperwork. Because of keonis lack of professionalism I did not feel comfortable getting work done by him. I asked for my $100 back and he agreed and said he would send it to me. A few hour later I text him wondering were my money is and he said he would send it to me in a few hours. After 7+ hours, I asked again for my money. He replied oh mam on the form it says the deposits are non refundable when I asked him why he agreed to give my money back when I asked him his response was cause I had to speek to a few people about this . More and more excuses followed from this and I still have not received my money. The most unprofessional and poor customer service experience of my life.

My experience here was wonderful. After coming in and checking out the shop i chickened out. I liked the welcoming warm vibe from Cierra so much that i came back the next day and ended up getting my ladies pierced by Cierra. She was lovely. She made me feel very comfortable, made great conversation and put a lot of her attention into details to make sure my piercings were straight and even. I would definitely recommend her to anyone and return for anymore body mods I may need in the future.

Every visit I had was extremely pleasant, I could honestly go there just to talk to the employees about whatever. Ive had two piercers and one of their tattoo artists, and all three were experiences I enjoyed. If you need a walk in piercing or a tattoo, art of the heart is a perfect place.

My husband and I came in to get a piece done for our new born son. Our tattoo artist Tyler Singleton Single handedly surpassed our expectations with the art. We had some designs in mind and sent them to him and while we were there, he designed it with us taking and giving suggestions to create the best pieces he possibly could. Hes the best and only artist my husband and I will go too. This is my second piece from him and through my tattoo journey, he has made it not only the best experience, but a comfortable one. He makes sure his clients are happy with their art and ensures to go above and beyond what you are expecting. Great work!

Paige did my piercing, she was super nice and explained everything well. The piercing turned out well and I really like.I also liked I was able to just walk-in and get it done, I went in early in the day and there was no wait.

Dirty shop, do not recommend. Took my teen to get ears pierced - basic lobes, nothing complicated.1. Jewelry selection was minimal and cheap quality. Earrings were all the cheap push-back type that are not appropriate for fresh piercings. The jewelry is not sterile, they are kept in bulk baggies in a little tool box drawer. Proper jewelry would have been individually packaged in sterile packaging. Non-sterile jewelry should never be used in a fresh piercing. The piercer seemed confused when I asked about different gauges, lengths, or styles of jewelry.2. I looked around and could not find a single sharps container. Later watched them throw the needle in a regular trash can. (Edit to add - I am a medical professional so am very comfortable with what to look for when it comes to proper sharps disposal and sterile technique - which were not followed).3. Piercing placement was off - hole was not centered on the lobe, and is too far inward (too close to the head).4. The needle was sterile when they started, but they then proceeded to use the same needle on both lobes. (and yes, I am 100% positive they used ONE needle on two lobes).Absolutely would never go back. The only reason I let my child go through with the piercing is they were 18 and wouldnt have listened anyways. The second we got home, I thoroughly cleaned the fresh piercing and made an appointment with Iris piercing downtown to change out the jewelry.*Edit to add - my visit was within the last year, but it has been more than several months - so pretty confident no cameras were checked as there would be no way for you to know what appointment, date, etc - out of a full year of footage? Also - when I mention jewelry, we didnt care about decorative - but hoops should have a captive bead to keep the hoop in the hole. Our only option was a thin hoop with no bead that allowed the hoop to slide out of the fresh piercing. Thank you for the salty response. I love small businesses and try to support local family business as much as possible - a big reason why we came to your business in the first place. My review is honest and simply intended to help others make informed decisions.

Go somewhere else! Now for my review - I came to get my second lobe piercings here a year ago and waited until now to post a review. The place was nice. The piercer (I dont remember her name, but a short more petite woman with sort of emo blonde brown hair) was nice. But I have had nothing but problems with my piercings. First of all, she erased the dots I had put in place of where I wanted the piercing to be and so when she did the actual piercing they were too close to my first piercing, but I guess I could work with that. Then, they took forever to heal. Just constantly irritated and having problems. After about 9 months of this, yes 9 months for a second lobe piercing, I finally just figured Id take them out and let them heal. But they didnt heal and so I still have these piercings. I put in some earrings today and I think I realized what was causing the problems all along. The piercer did not look at the angle that my first piercings were in and so just randomly pierced the second lobe piercing without taking the first angle into consideration. The backs of my earrings touch. I think that because of that, the second lobe was never able to heal because it was constantly being pushed by a piercing I was wearing in the first one. I have a lump of scar tissue that formed around the second piercing that is definitely because this is the one that was pushed so much. This was not my first piercing to ever get done. I know from other piercing studios that they examined the angle of the piercings and are really thorough about making sure that everything is alignment, and this place just did not deliver that kind of quality. Ill try to post pictures because the angles are just ridiculous. I also know that Im not the only one whos had this issue, because my sister got a double Helix and second lobe pierced on the same day, and she has had the same problem with the angles and irritation on her piercings that she got here as well. Also not her first rodeo with piercings. I do not recommend coming here unless maybe youre just getting one lobe piercing and thats it, but honestly there are better quality places you should go to even for that.

Went in for a piercing and dermal removal. The wait was an hour and half. The owner didn’t seem to know much about wait times at all. Paige the piercer was amazing. She was extremely knowledgeable and new the dermal was in need of a dermatologist expertise, she cleaned it and provided me with great information. Piercing was quick and clean. someone from the shop came in to do the next piercing but kept asking Paige questions. He didn’t seem to know what he was doing or what tools were used at the shop for piercings. Was relieved Paige did my piercing and not the other guy. Paige gets 5stars.

This review is long over due but I got my septum pierced here just over a year ago and they did a terrible job. It was way too low and straight though my cartilage and the jewelry was very low quality for the price, not to mention that my piercer bumped the bottom of my shoe with her gloves on and continued to still pierce me with the same gloves. When I went back in to have it taken out the owner personally gave me her number to get it redone for free. Months of calling to schedule an appointment but heard absolutely nothing back and I believe my and my mothers number got blocked or she changed her number. If I could give this place zero stars I would, do not go here for piercings!

Ive gotten a lobe piercing done about a year and a half ago and I got my nostril done yesterday. Both experiences were excellent. My nostril jewelry fell out and I couldnt get it back in today and they helped me get it back in. Every piercer here is awesome.

We just had our 7 year old get her ears pierced. This is the place to do it! They are amazing! The did such a good job explaining the process and keeping it positive. Our daughter also had both ears done at the same time, so it was one and done so fast. She and we loved the experience!

Yesterday, I went in to get my dimple piercings. The store was clean, everyone was professional and friendly. Raina was my piercer, and she gave me exactly what I was hoping for. She was quick, and the piercing was relatively painless. I was SO glad she used longer bars for the swelling; it’s currently a blessing. I’ve been pierced many times over and have to say she’s been my favorite piercer; she was kind, helpful, and made sure I was comfortable with everything. One piercing was a bit more difficult to get through (as all symmetrical piercings seem to have this problem naturally), and she handled it very quickly to make sure it wasn’t any more painful than it needed to be. Definitely going to come back if I want another piercing!

Went in hoping to talk to someone about sleeve ideas and set up a consultation. Waited for about 10 minutes before anyone even showed up to help, dont know what they were doing (smelled like they were out back smoking) but the whole place was just left completely unattended not a single employee in the place and no signs or anything to say what was up. When someone finally showed up to help me I was told I needed to schedule a consultation online via email, that was 2 weeks ago and I have yet to get a so much as a reply. Looked like the art was good in the portfolios (portfolios tho so it should look good) but from a business standpoint this place is trash. No concept of how to treat customers or customer service skills at all.

I just got a new tattoo done today by James and I freaking love it! The studio was very clean and inviting, the booking process was very easy. I came in because I lost the back of my nose stud. Unfortunately they didnt carry the kind I had but Shantel was very helpful and got me set up with a new ring. She was super nice and I didnt have any wait. The only thing that would make it better is if they accepted cards for payment.

I went here for my first tattoo. They were readily available through phone and text and were able to get me in the same day. The shop was clean and inviting. Tyler, who did my tattoo, was meticulous in the placement and explaining to me how everything worked. It didnt phase him at all that this was my first tattoo. He was quick to help me and really patient when I almost passed out (dont forget to eat lol), and he had an appointment right after me but didnt rush. He takes pride in his work and it shows. Would recommend both Tyler and this shop

This parlor was perfect for our almost 7 year old!I really appreciated that they required our child’s birth certificate and my license to make sure she was our child first.They do piercings by hand instead of with a gun. Which we didn’t understand at first how important this detail was, but it is quite important. It turns out the gun actually tears your ear instead of doing a clean pierce. Plus, going to a place like Clair’s comes with its own set of problems, inexperienced teens that don’t study and do piercings for a living, and uneven piercings.The two girls that did the piercings were both very sweet while working with my daughter and told us when we could come in to have both of them pierce at once so that my daughter didn’t have to go through 2 separate pokes. They allowed us to watch/record the whole process and had a cute little seat for our other kids to sit in and watch from a distance. They truly made it a fun and positive experience. I even came in a few days earlier to see the earrings and hear the whole process. She was sooo patient and you could tell she truly wanted me to ask everything and anything I wondered about.They were excellent with explaining aftercare! They also didn’t try and upsell us on anything. It was a flat $50 for the piercings and the cute little studs that don’t have a sharp back on them so that my daughter can wear these as normal earrings anytime after healing.Lastly, it is ridiculously cute in there! Chandeliers, diamond studded oversized seats, cute colors, etc. It was fun to get a picture of my daughter before the procedure with these cute things.If you are considering getting your child’s ears pierced, take them here! You will not regret it!

I took my daughter in to get her lobes pierced and I was overall dissatisfied with our experience. Right off the bat, even getting in contact with the piercer was difficult. I called the shop, a young boy answered and gave me a different number to call, called that number and I was told that I would have to wait to hear back from the piercer before I went in. Waited about 45 minutes for the call (meanwhile heavily debated just taking my daughter to Claire’s instead which I should’ve done) Raina, the piercer was very nice and good with my daughter but the whole experience was very rushed. She gave no options for the jewelry and didn’t even double check with me that those particular earrings were okay. (They were something I would not have chosen for my young daughter as they were rather big and stainless steel as opposed to a metal that was less likely to cause a reaction) She marked the dots extremely quickly with no regard for placement. I had her move one dot and it was more uneven than before but I was so flustered by how fast she was moving and felt uncomfortable asking for her to just start over with both dots. I ultimately just said I trust your professional judgment and had her go ahead with placement she thought was acceptable and even. The piercings came out uneven. She also inserted the needle at two completely different angles so one of the earrings was facing away from my daughters face while the other one faced straight and was closer to her face. I didn’t realize just how terribly uneven they were until I got my daughter home and had her look at me straight on. I ended up taking them out the next morning to let them heal up.

Store is clean. Jim did a great job! I will be coming back!!! My tattoo is awesome! I love it!

I had two piercings done by Shontel, she was kind and professional. The place was clean, nicely decorated. She closed off the room for privacy. Much appreciated. My piercings are symmetrical and healing nicely. She gave me clearverbal/written instructions on how to care for them.

I went in for a bellybutton piercing yesterday, my piercer was Shontel. The place was overall beautiful and the atmosphere was lovely. I went back to get the piercing done and pick out my jewelry. Shontel was very precise with the marking and placement of the piercing which made me feel comfortable and trust her ability. Hours later I was looking at my piercing and I don’t know if it’s a swelling thing or because my bellybutton has a bit of chub, but it looks like my bellybutton wasn’t even pierced. It looks like she pierced my stomach. I felt around and the jewelry doesn’t even go through the end of the top lip of my bellybutton. It also looks so crooked as well

I love this place. If you go in to get a tattoo or piercing, not are you only meeting the artist, but youre meeting the whole family of artists. Everyone there interacts like family and love to see what everyone is tattooing. They will interact with you and keep you happy here, before, during and after. They are an amazing group of people!

I went in for my first tattoo and since I was new at this whole thing, I didnt realize how bad it was until afterwards when telling people about it. A tattoo that should have only taken (at most) an hour, took nearly 3 1/2. Something that shouldnt have even cost $100 cost me $300. While tattooing, I noticed my artist (junior) seemed unsure but he kept going. He kept going over the lines many many times probably trying to make them appear straight, but they are not. Now Ive had to pay someone else immediately after to cover it up. I do not recommend. The staff isnt very put together, and their scheduling is a mess.

I worked here previously, the owner is a very petty, very greedy, very mean person. She treats her staff as if they’re disposable and at all times replaceable. Wonderful tattoo artists, wonderful piercer, and terrific customer service and vibe when you enter the shop… unless Faith is there.I have never been treated worse by an employer than I was by Faith Byrd. Everyday I wondered what trouble I would get in even though everything asked of me was done.Again, the artists there are so wonderful and amazing, but they are managed by the most wishy washy, petty, passive aggressive boss who also likes to threaten peoples safety when they do something she does not like.

Shontel is AMAZING, so is everyone that we have encountered here. They were so quick to respond to my inquiry, able to fit me and my cousins. Definitely would recommend this place!!!

WHAM, BAM, than you ma’am! Poor experience overall.My daughter went in for her very first nose piercing and we were extremely disappointed. The place was clean, looked nice, and the people were friendly. But that’s where the positives end.The piercing was rushed, there was lots of bleeding, and absolutely no after care instructions provided. All they seemed to care about was that the paperwork was done.My wife wanted to support local businesses but regrets not driving further for better quality work at Koi.

I honestly wasnt expecting to get a tattoo on the day that I did a week ago! I told Faith what I wanted and she said come on in and gus will take care of you so I went in and showed him what I wanted. Gus did an amazing job on my Cherry Blossoms! This was also my first tattoo and he was so chill about it and didnt push off my concerns about pain. Turns out it wasnt painful at all 😂 Thank you Faith and Gus! I will be back sometime for my second tattoo!

I had the best experience getting my daith pierced by Shontel! Im so afraid of needles but she did a great job making the whole experience lots of fun and easing all of my nerves. Everything was very clean and well organized. I’ll definitely be returning for all future piercings.

When our two daughters (9 and 11) decided back in March that they were both ready and wanting to get their ears pierced, we wanted to have it done at a tattoo/piercing shop by a pro. There are sadly few options on the south end of the valley. We were so excited when we saw this shop had recently opened and decided to go here. We scheduled appointments with Raina and she was so good with them, nervous tears, hyperventilation and all. She patiently explained the whole process and all of the aftercare and both kids admitted afterwards that it wasnt nearly as bad as theyd built it up to be. Its been several months and everything has healed up well and they love their piercings. Although they say theyll wait awhile before wanting any more like mom...

From beginning to end, this visit was perfect.When I arrived, the woman who pierces was with another customer, which was fine because I was able to fill out the required paperwork. When that was done, Kelsey, who does permanate makeup, talked to me about what she does and she showed me some of her work. I appreciated her going over that with me and answering all of my questions about it.My piercer was Shantel. She was also very good to answer all of my questions. I had her re-pierce me for Daiths she pierced my left side and then on my right side, she installed new jewelry. She was very clean and professional, as well as funny. The whole procedure went fast and was as pain free as is possible for daiths. I was very impressed with how she was able to minimize the amount of pain. Daiths are known to hurt, so this is even more amazing to me.I loved being able to walk in without an appointment, and the level of cleanliness was top notch! Shantel and Kelsey are great!

I got my nose pierced for my 20th birthday, they put in a L shaped stud and 3 days later it fell out in my sleep. The hole closed super fast and i had to wait 2 weeks until i got it pierced again. The same girl pierced my nose a second time but i asked for a ring instead of a stud. She put a black painted ring in and soon after the paint started chipping so my piercing got really irritated and it looked like a pimple :( so i went back in and had the ring switched to a silver one. A different girl put it in and they told me that the first girl was let go because she used the wrong equipment (like my black nose ring) well that silver ring just opened and fell out as well. I went in again to try and have it put back in and they immediately told me i would have to get it redone… she also told me that the girl that got fired put the ring in my nose, so i told her it was actually HER that put the ring in and she said it mustve been somebody else. So now i have no nose piercing and im out 4 months that couldve been used for the healing process. I dont know if im even going to get it pierced again ever.

My son got a tattoo for his 18th birthday, and I wish I could remember the guys name that did it, but he did an amazing job, and pricing was not bad at all. I want more tattoos and this will be the place I go!

Had a very strange experience. My husband scheduled a piercing as a Mother’s Day gift, I got off work early to make the appointment and when we showed up the shop was closed. I understand if an emergency had occurred, but a phone call or text would have been helpful to me and my family.

I went in to try and get a tattoo, he said he was more than willing. I am a little young though as I have not turned 18 yet. I went around asking other shops and they said he was trying to scam me as he was charging me a lot of money. When confronted about it the artist decided to say he was no longer interested and ghosted me.
