I had an amazing opportunity to get tattooed by Cheyenne at fourth st earlier this year. I got a traditional design and absolutely loved it! She gave me an incredibly friendly consultation where she worked with my idea and gave me feedback in a manner that resulted in me being happier with the finished product. She was kind, patient, funny, beautiful, and the type of person you feel 100% safe getting tattooed by. She is surrounded by amazing artists and friendly folks that hype you up. So happy to have a shop to go back too.

I was tattooed by Morgan this past Labor Day, (Monday), as part of the $100 flash special. I love the way mine turned out!! I gave her artistic license to choose some of the colors, and they go so well with my skin tone. Can’t wait to go back!

Got flash by Sophia, who was in the zone and busted two out in an hour. She did a wonderful job, was very sweet, made sure I was comfortable, and liked what I was seeing throughout. Vibes in the whole shop are great, everyone is very kind.

I got tattooed by Lauren this week and really appreciated her customer service. She checked in to see how I was doing frequently and offered breaks. The tattoo she gave me is super fun and I enjoyed chatting with her and the other artists. I also love all of the gorgeous hand painted flash at the shop. It’s nice to have so much to look at while you are being stabbed 🥲 I definitely recommend 4th Street Tattoo

Started getting work done during their flash event at Arts Beats and Eats last year. 3 great pieces from their artists. I couldn’t wait to come back and get more this year. Every artist is so talented. They are super accommodating and communicative and we’re so kind to coordinate with me managing the stage outside their shop all weekend while dashing in to get tattooed.

Came in for a flash art tattoo during Arts, Beats, & Eats. The artists were all so friendly and you can tell they all love doing what they do. The tattoo only took less than 30 minutes and it was done so well. The line work came out smooth and solid.

Would give negative star review if possible. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER !!!!!!!!waited a 1 hr and 20 minutes for a tattoo artist to do a quick fill in, the other 2 tattoo artist had already seen the tattoo that needed work. The 2 tattoo artist that were there told me a 3rd girl would be in 20 minutes later but that turned into a 1hr and 20 minutes later. Once they eventually got there they informed me the store policy was 100$ minimum. 100$ for 15 minutes of touching up?!?! not worth it. Why couldnt the other 2 people tell me it was 100$ minimum. No where in the store did it say a 100$ minimum. Wasted a 1 hour and 20 min for absolutely nothing. Horrible service, communication, everything.If you need a tattoo go some where else.

4th street tattoo has an accumulation of the best artists in metro Detroit. I have been getting tattooed by the owner for ten years, and exclusively go to his shops. I’d trust anyone working here, and their professionalism is unmatched. Women positive, LGBTQ friendly, your ideas and skin are safe with these folks.All photos healed 1 year to 8 years.

I’ve gotten tattooed by tattsukii 6 times now (which is most of my tats) and they’re all absolutely stunning. She and everyone in the shop are so talented, welcoming, and kind. I wanna get a piece done by each artist in there someday and I feel like that’s not something that can be said about every shop. love them a lot, definitely stop in and check them out

I had an appointment with Sophy and paid $100 deposit but unfortunately had to be out of town on business trip and needed to reschedule. She wanted another $100 to just reschedule and of course all non refundable. Bad vibe for me and I would not recommend going there! Inflexible and the feeling of ageism really sucked!

Justin is the absolute best. Ive seen him for nearly 10 years and cant say enough great things about him as a person and as an artist. He is also the owner of Black Tusk Tattoo in Mt Clemens, which I would highly recommend to anyone looking to get tattooed in the area.

I have been getting tattoos by Justin since I was about 18, I am now in my 30’s and all of my tattoos still look great. I get compliments on his work constantly, and I have never had an issue with healing. I always feel very comfortable when visiting and my tattoos always turn out amazing. It is such a treat to finally have a great tattoo shop in Royal Oak. I’ve worked with Riley on a bunch of my tattoos and she does phenominal work. The other artists in the shop are also very talented and tenured. No matter who you work with you’re going to get quality work at a great price. This should be your first choice for a tattoo.

I stopped in to the shop during Arts, Beats and Eats and was quoted $300 to touch up and add some details to my 2 existing tattoos. I set up an appointment for 9-9 at noon. When the first tattoo was complete, the artist informed me that she couldnt do my second tattoo today because she had a headache and nobody else in the shop would do it either. She disappeared and the other employee informed me that the one tattoo I received was going to cost me $350. More than I was quoted for both tattoos! Im happy with the tattoo, but I received half of what I was promised at twice the price. Go somewhere else if you value your hard earned money!

This tattoo shop has a vibe that’s so real and true it’s almost unreal, the whole staff is extremely friendly and amazing to work with, from the moment you walk in it’s a great experience. The staff are true professionals, the shop is extremely clean and well organized. Sophia is who I see and she’s always spectacular, but I know everyone else is great too.

The owner Justin Tyler is the absolute best and the nicest guy. The shop is well maintained and the artists he selected are really great at what they do. I absolutely would recommend any artist here, they’re all so talented!!

Excellent experience with two different tattoos from Ryan. Worked with me for placement and design. One of my tattoos was old English works on my shin, years later and it still holds up nice and bold with no bleeding of ink or hazing.
