I got nipple piercings from Josh yesterday and he made the entire experience so amazing! He and my boyfriend immediately made friends while I looked at jewelry. He walked me through all the proper after care procedures and talked me through the piercing itself. Afterwards I was definitely feeling the pain and he immediately got me water, chatted about his experience and such to get my mind off things, and let me stay in the room for as long as I need while I got my head together. Overall, a 10/10 experience and Im so happy I was able to get it done with Josh.

I had an appointment here last week. I was unable to get the piercing I wanted due to not having the correct anatomy. Overall I enjoyed the studio and front of house staff, everyone was very pleasant and friendly. Josh was my piercer and was incredible. Between his friendly demeanor, respectful bedside manners, and laidback attitude in combination with his extensive experience, attention to detail, skill, effective and fast technique, and an overall dedication to the craft I cannot say enough good things. I have a lot of piercings at this point and have been pierced by many piercers at many different studios but this experience stood at number one best experience thanks to Josh.If you are in the area or can make the drive please visit the studio and/or Josh for any piercing needs. I highly recommend!!

I have had nothing but great experiences at Above & Beyond Body Arts. I got my first piercing from Camie, and while I was nervous at first, she made me feel comfortable and the piercing went well. I ended up coming back for more! Josh, the head piercer, has two decades of piercing experience and I trust that he knows whats best for my body.The studio itself is clean and welcoming, and all the staff are friendly and helpful. Their jewelry selection features pieces from reputable brands like BVLA and Anatometal which are all implant grade and high quality.I highly recommend Above & Beyond for all your piercing and jewelry needs.

This place is incredible. It’s an extremely beautiful shop. State of the art sterilization processes, friendly and knowledgeable staff and an extensive collection of jewelry for both healed and fresh body piercings. They cut no corners when it comes to client safety by utilizing the safest piercing and sterilization practices and the highest quality jewelry in the industry.

I went in to have my nose pierced, and it was the smoothest, most informative experience. All staff was kind and welcoming and eased my nerves. The jewelry options were of the best quality, and they also had a great array of options! Overall, I would high recommend this shop to anyone!

Took a 50$ appointment fee just to (rather rudely) tell my friend that her anatomy was wrong for the piercing in about 2 minutes. Understandable if the piercer is uncomfortable with doing the piercing on her but she went back to her regular piercer after and just was told she needed a smaller piece of jewelry. Just overall didn’t really need to be that aggressive with her and also I personally don’t think they should have kept the appointment fee because the time reserved wasn’t used.

I had an amazing experience while getting it pierced but my nose piercing jewelry fell out about 3 months into the expirence. i went back to their store, bought a new piece of jewelry for $35 and got it changed- less than a week later it fell out again and closed. i was told that i would have to pay $55 to get it repierced and they were unable to give me any discounts or help as it was my fault. considering the fact that i have invested well over $100 into this piercing and it has had continuous problems i am very saddened that they refuse to help me with the faulty piercing and offer a compensation for re-piercing it.

This is my third time and they are SO professional and I had such a good experience. First two times were lobe piercings but this time was a cartilage piercing that I was nervous about but Josh made it so easy and I love how it turned out

I’ve never left a bad review in my life but I have to for this place. been here multiple times never once had a decent experience. Today is my last time going in, I was the only one in there I was wanting to swap my jewelry and they had me wait 40 minutes when there was 4 workers all just standing talking. They are extremely rude for no reason and when swapping my jewelry it took her so long and she made it extremely painful which I’ve never had happen, not sure if they have any experience but doesn’t seem like it and definitely have no customer service skills

Great experience! The staff was so friendly and answered all of our questions. Very professional and clean. Cami (spelling?) did our piercings and I barely felt a thing and it’s healing nicely. Now I want more piercings! Will definitely be back!

Clean, inclusive, and safe. I got a second lobe during a guest spot with Lynn Loheide. It healed phenomenally and they were incredibly supportive and I felt very safe during the whole process.

Visited to see out-of-town piercer Lynn Loheide. They were amazing. So knowledgeable and very professional. The shop is very clean, very welcoming. The girl who helped me at the counter was very knowledgeable as well. Definitely recommend

Awesome place! I made an appointment online which was super easy. Kat greeted me and explained everything to me. She was very clear about pricing and what would work for me. The guest piercer (I was too anxious to remember his name 🤦) was very welcoming and courteous. He explained the cleaning procedure and talked me through everything. Even when the needle went in and I freaked a bit, he was very calm and helped coach me through breathing and procedure. Highly recommend this shop!!!Picture is of my daith piercing!

Great experience getting a second hole ear piercing with my Mom recently. The front desk person walked us through the process and was patient helping us select which earrings we wanted. The actual piercing process was thorough and professional, clean space and the person was knowledgeable, kind, and also patient with finalizing hole placement etc. Would highly recommend this spot for any ear piercings.

Just got my cartilage priced here. took me 2 and a half hours. one piercer who was low-key weird but did have credentials and was professional. everyone else at the front desk was rude and obnoxious. I listened to horrible rock music while I waited. they make you wait inside and u CANNOT leave the building. one of my close friends just went here to get her posts shortened. the piercer broke one of her earrings and charged her $175 dollars for an earring to replace the once he broke. total scam and they know theyre the only people who do what the do. they horrible earring selection as well and its incredibly overpriced. you can definitely find another place nearby that does the same thing for half the price and is WAY more friendly. DO NOT GO HERE!!!!! (my two stars go to the piercer because he was super friendly to me, professional, and really good at what he does.)

I went to get retainers put in my navel and nostril piercings (both done at Above and Beyond) and immediately one of the piercers questioned my need for them after I mentioned they were for an MRI.Not that I wanted or needed to disclose my medical history with him but I did clarify that I needed both piercings out for a series of procedures and I just felt that it was rude to point out because if someone comes in asking for retainers there must be a reason.The nostril retainer is fine but when one of the piercers placed the navel retainer, I expressed concern and asked if the top would be able to slip through the hole because it looked small. She said no. I knew I needed to be careful so I made sure before going to bed that there was nothing resting against the retainer and that I was laying flat on my back.A few hours later I woke up and the retainer had embedded. When I tried to loosen the plastic ring the entire piece went through the piercing hole (the wrong way) and it was quite painful.I chose Above and Beyond because they are my trusted piercer and due to other health issues I wanted to make sure the likelihood of infection/irritation was the lowest it could be. However, when I called back about it, they told me they couldnt offer a refund despite the piece not doing its job. The front desk person did offer other alternatives but I need it ASAP so I didnt feel that ordering another piece would be doable.I wish that the staff had paid more attention to the size of my piercing hole and the size of the jewelry so I could have avoided this and I was glad there was alternatives offered; they just wouldnt work for me.

Ive gotten many piercings here over the last decade. The piercers are clearly proud of their work and want your piercing to look as even and perfectly placed as you do. I love each of my piercings! Their aftercare guidance is detailed, clear, and up-to-date (AKA aftercare is different now than it was in 2012). They set you up with all you need for success - a sterile new piercing done by a top-rate piercer, helpful aftercare instructions, and check-in appointments. I refuse to go anywhere else ❤️

Unfortunately the owner is simply the rudest person i’ve ever seen for no reason. talks about customers to the receptionist as if the customer was not in front of him. today i heard “whatever is happening with this person (me), stop. go take care of something else”.I bought a piece of jewelry, which I asked for one way and they gave me another similar one, 5 minutes later I went back to the place to exchange it and again the owner was simply short and rude “we don’t exchange it”.horrible!besides that, the other people are really nice

Incredible service. As the name implies, they truly go above and beyond to provide a great experience. Friendly, knowledgeable staff, who are patient. Facility is very clean with excellent hygienic practices. Highly recommend to anyone in the area looking for the best in town!

I got a double forward helix here about two months ago. The piercer was awesome. Very nice, very professional, very friendly. It was a good experience with him. The lady who worked at the front of the shop was kind rude (though it was kind of busy so I understand being stressed). She did however tell me the wrong prices for the jewelry and failed to give me a proper quote for the piercings (which came out to almost twice what I expected based on what she told me but I found out this new more expensive price after the piercings had already been done so there wasnt much I could do about it). Came to get the posts shortened a few weeks after and that was way more than at other places too. Definitely more expensive than anywhere Ive been. Ultimately, nice piercer, small but generally clean shop, a little overpriced but I think thats cause of the location. My piercing was done really well though and is healing up nicely.

Clean, professional, and skilled piercing studio! I’ve come here twice for earlobe piercings and Josh and the team were always awesome. They take their work seriously which made me a lot more comfortable about the process as well as the cleanliness. Their selection of jewelry is great as well! Easy to make an appointment online.

I hate going to this place and it will be my last time after spending 350$. No one is very experienced and the manner of customer service is horrible. They are not people people. They are not good piercers. They make you wait and they are over priced. Go somewhere else if you want to be pierced

Got a septum piercing in November and it fell out unfortunately, just went today to put it back it and I just love this shop so much! So professional, So clean and their jewelry is fantastic! Josh is such a great piercer, always makes you feel important and safe in the shop haha even when the piercing can be hella painful! love my septum piercing and I can’t wait to get more :))

I went in for my second piercing here over the weekend; this is one of the only 2 shops I trust with my piercings. Not only are they extremely knowledgeable, cautious (not out to just sell you something quickly), but the quality of their work is apparent the moment you walk in. Everything is sterilized and you see the many steps that are taken to ensure everyone’s safety. Josh is a wealth of knowledge when it comes to piercings and is always extremely helpful. Their jewelry selection is great, and had exactly what I had in mind for my daith piercing; I’m in love with it! Thank you Golden Eagle, will be back!

I took my daughter in today to get her nose pierced. Josh was so great with calming her nerves and explaining everything to her. He is very professional and calming. He explains everything as he goes and doesnt rush you out if you need a minute after to calm the adrenaline.

Bad experience here - strict about covid prevention (which I understand and appreciate) but didnt wear masks themselves, had to wait for 20 minutes because they were dealing with airbnb hosting in an apartment attached to the studio, didnt get any communication from the person switching my piercing and it was very painful/a heads up would have been nice. Disappointed.

I just went here today to get my smiley jewelry changed. I picked a very small piece of jewelry that was difficult to change. I understood this. HOWEVER, the piercer was really rude throughout the entire process. He struggled to get the ball on and when I asked what was going on because I was nervous, he very rudely mansplained to me what he was doing, instead of just saying he was struggling to get the ball on. Also, he was pulling the piercing so hard to try to screw on the ball that I was afraid he was going to rip the piercing out. So when I sucked air in because it hurt he freaked out and said “you really can’t tolerate this? it’s not even a piercing” like WOW. The attitude from him was unnecessary and honestly made me MORE scared. It’s like he was all worked up about something, he was angry. Also he rolled his eyes when I wanted to LOOK AT THE JEWELRY TO MAKE SURE I LIKED IT!!!! I hadn’t even seen how it looked yet and just wanted to see what I was paying for LOL. Anyways, I won’t be going back here because that was a scary experience. If you want a piercer who seems like they actually care about you as a client, don’t go here.Also the music was awful, 0/10. Bye

I am sad to say I didnt get her name but the front desk girl with pink hair was the most helpful and kind person Ive ever met at a piercing shop. My friend and I were walk in piercings and she gave us options on jewelry styles as well as what to expect for the piercing and healing process. Was a shame that the actual piercer that day was being so rude to her. Almost walked out bc the vibes he was giving was uncomfy. But to that girl, youre the best and would come back just to buy jewelry from you :) these 5 stars are for you!

I dont know what I did to deserve the most passive aggressive energy in the world but apparently I achieved all of the goals. I asked a few questions about the jewelry wanting to purchase the gold stud piercing it was around $250. Im aware gold is more expensive. They kept asking like I couldnt pay for it. I asked if I could bring in a custom price instead of a simple no, be took all the time to make sure I knew that was a stupid question.If you know you know,this place isnt for everyone

The most professional piercing shop I have ever been to. The piercer gave me amazing detailed instructions on how to take care of my piercing, and overall the experience was very pleasing and professional!

Honestly this is the place to get a new piercing done or an old one upgraded. The folks who work here are extremely professional and take sanitation super seriously which is a big deal when it comes to piercings. All the jewelry is beautiful, the environment is great, and theres an awesome book about crystals you can read while you wait. I live over an hour away but I will always make the drive to have my piercings done here.

Josh is an extremely talented and great piercer. My only problem came from the woman in the front who was supposed to help me pick out my jewelry. Instead of being helpful, she was just extremely impatient with me and did not help me pick out the jewelry I needed. I ended up with the wrong piece because she couldnt be bothered to answer a simple question. I later had to go to a different shop to switch out my jewelry 3 days later because of how rude and unhelpful this woman was.

I recently had my ears pierced in a tattoo shop in Canada (Im Canadian) and while visiting my family in California I noticed that all of my studs had gotten infected - or had been infected for quite some time. I decided to pop into Golden Eagle to see if their artists could tell me if my piercings were salvageable, and to ask if they could put new earrings into my holes. A lovely woman behind the counter (her name has escaped me - I apologize) helped me in selecting my earrings and Josh spent at least 30 minutes with me going over where my original piercings might have gone wrong. Let me be so bold as to say that if I ever get my ears pierced again, I will be hopping onto a plane and heading to Golden Eagle. AMAZING service, and just about the most knowledgeable piercer Ive met. The way that Josh suggested I take care of my piercings had them healing in less than 24 hours!Oh! And fun little side note: they have candy in a little bowl in the waiting area, so that was very exciting.Thank you both for your help the other day!

Always clean, employees are cool and funny, and the owner, Juan Ortega, does the best work Ive seen. Hes worked on me and the tattoos are gorgeous. My husband has been going there for years. I know everyone thinks their guy is the best, well they havent seen Juans work!

This place has a lot of cool jewelry options but somehow are always out of the majority of their lip jewelry posts. You cannot make an appointment so Ive driven downtown several times to find they do not have what I need or that there is a 40 minute wait, which is fine but two of the people working there will just be standing around, polite, but not doing anything. Not to mention, they said come back in thirty minutes, so we did and we came back early, but lost our place in line? I do not understand why they cannot just sell me the lip posts I need? Instead they want to measure what I already know and sterilize their jewelry (shouldnt it be sterilized?) I do not understand why two of the three people employed there cannot take measurements (if they must) and sell me jewelry over the counter instead of just standing there.

I went there today to get my ears pierced for the first time, i was attended by Harley Graber a professional piercer and he made sure i was comfortable throughout the whole process. The end result was amazing and the experience was better than i expected. Definitely a great place to get them done !

I went in to try to solve a complicated piercing infection I’ve been dealing with for 2 years. Josh was so knowledgeable & it was far and away the best piercing experience I’ve ever had. They were able to restretch both my holes and they healed fully and smoothly when I followed the directions given. Thank you!!

Probably a tiny bit over priced in my opinion. But everyone was really friendly, the girls in there are super cool and nice and it is on the main street so I think the price reflects that. Only had a small basic tattoo, no issues, tat looks great they took my idea and added their professional thoughts and sketched something I love

Rude lady with the ear gauging and brown hair!!!! She acted like she was somewhere classy!!no your not and they dont explain anything right when you call to get information. This place is a joke in a gross area of state street. Didnt look like they were cleaning between customers and the place was filled with very young people, smelled, small, and too many people in such a small area. We left and I wouldnt recommend going here not safe or clean.
