This tattoo shop is the best tattoo shop in Schenectady and possibly the 518 there always on time, they have music on, there friendly people the price is right on, hands down my favorite place in Schenectady also I think her name is Niko? But she’s an amazing tattoo artist I highly recommend this shop

PiercingI took my two granddaughters here to get their noses pierced $120.00 later we leave alls good?Three days later we head back because the younger one’s jewelry came out and she couldn’t get it back in. When I called ahead of the guy said sure bring her in she’ll put it back in. First words out of the girls mouth, how long has it been in a raised voice? I’m already to give her a nice tip for nc granddaughter comes back out upset and says she wants another 60 bucks to put it back in. Great customer service??? Not the save girl that put it in 3 days earlier she was much nicer. No referrals and won’t be going back!!!

I recently started going to State St. Tattoo to work on the start of a traditional sleeve with Meko. She has been absolutely amazing, professional, and fun to work with! I gave her free reign over much of the design and she did not disappoint; it is exactly what I wanted and looks so beautiful with the best placement and detailing. She was nice enough to swap out a piercing for me at the last second of our latest appointment, and was so reasonable with pricing. Ive met some of the other artists as well, and they are so kind and great to talk to. Overall, a great environment and awesome people to give your business to.

I’ve been going to Jim and his crew for years. I cannot believe that the previous comment made by Lucy is even on here. Meko shows you what she draws up before it goes onto your skin!!!! What is wrong with people? Do not leave a bad review because you didn’t speak up and say you didn’t like what was drawn up. Best tattoo shop in the area. Period. Clean, professional and reasonable. Lucy- next time speak up !!

Got my septum pierced here! piercer was very nice and it was a walk in; it was quick and easy.

I wish I got the name of my piercer so I could give her credit! She was a dark haired girl with larger, light colored plugs in her ears. I went in at 630 last night for a walk in double piercing. I didnt wait long at all. The shop was very clean and all the employees were incredibly friendly and welcoming. My piercer was AMAZING. Not only are my piercings absolutely picture perfect even, but she was informative and friendly through the whole process. She made me feel very comfortable and the piercing was as quick and easy as having a needle put through your skin can be. She did an incredibly clean job and Im so so happy with my new piercings! Would 100% recommend to anyone I know.

Every time I go here I always go to Savannah. She’s done 4 tattoos on me already and every single one was amazing. She’ll walk you through everything she’s going to do on your piece. She always puts your comfort first. Her work is amazing, her line work is spot on. If I’d recommend anyone it would be her. She’s a dope person and an amazing tattoo artist 🤘🏻

This was my first tattoo experience and let me just say it was awful and I will be getting it removed. I got mine done by Meko and from the start it was off. She began by telling me I never sent references when i had messages of her liking the pictures and giving me an estimate. Her bedside manner was off the whole experience, she barely said a word to me. Finally the tattoo is nothing like what I asked for. I showed her many pictures, including the type of shading that I wanted. She said she would do it just like the picture and then did something completely different. The only reason I am giving a 1 star is because I cant give zero. I have already planned to get the shading removed and possibly the whole thing. The first picture is what was tattooed on me and you can see the shading awful. The second two are references I showed her both online and in person. Will never be going back or recommending this place.

I went here on a manic whim today and decided to get a new tattoo after 9 years of not having any new ink. I got a beautiful new Barbie tattoo done by one of the girls who work there savannah I think her name was I had a scar on my arm that made me uncomfortable due to a previous injury. And it was blended and covered up beautifully.

Get a tattoo from Savannah!!!I really like the shop, everyone there is really nice. I have gotten 4 tattoos from Savannah and she is easily my favorite tattoo artist! Her tats are very detailed and not rushed at all. She has a light hand with the gun, preventing any unnecessary pain. She also has a fun personality keeping you entertained during your session.

I have gone here for all my piercings and my tattoo and Meko is long overdue for a glowing review!! She is amazing at what she does and creates a great environment every time I come to the shop. She’s done my cartilage, third lobe piercings, and most recently my forward helix and third piercings again bc I let them close so I can strongly recommend her for an all around great experience. My first tattoo was a small wrist tat that she had no problem doing and I’m hoping to be back in soon for something more adventurous because I love her work!

My tattoo artist went too hard on the tattoo I had it checked out by another artist and a doctor unfortunately I eneded up with a nasty infection and it spread all over my skin, I’m unhappy with the tattoo and my experience over all was not great. As someone who’s been tatted by many artists and has much experience in the industry I don’t recommend this shop unfortunately just due to this single artist.

Went in on a recommendation from a friend for an ear piercing. No appointment.Staff was very friendly, a welcoming environment.I have so little experience with piercings but the team there answered all of my questions and answered questions that I hadn’t even thought to ask, the piercer really knew her craft and was very kind and welcoming to a client so new to being pierced. Very clean and professional piercing. I called back a couple weeks later to ask some follow up questions about sizes and got all the answered I needed in a minute. Great service, for sure would go there again.

Extremely disappointed, what a joke. Paid $200 for these 2 tattoos. Wanted to get matching tattoos for my wife and I, so it was especially meaningful, and for such a simple design Im dumbfounded at the result. Stay away-- an artist that cant draw shapes is highly concerning.. a three year old could have done better.

I had my belly button pierced here. Branduun did my piercing, he is incredibly nice and it didn’t hurt one bit! The prices are very reasonable; I tell all my friends to go here if they are thinking of getting any body piercings. I haven’t had any experience with tattoos here.

A wonderful tattoo shop to get either a new tattoo or even your first tattoo I highly recommend their one artist meko. Be kind to your artists work with them and sit still and youll end up with a beautiful piece of work on your arm

Do not come here if you’re black. I got a tattoo here a few yrs ago and noticed it wasnt healing properly like my other tats. I told the white tattoo artist and he brushed it off as if it would heal give it time etc etc. well to this day both tattoos are keloids that came from him tattooing the same spots over and over too deep and he failed to accept responsibility on not knowing how to tattoo black people. So as the receptionist/piercer woman. * I believe it was Jim not Brandon ***

My mother and I have come here twice and all I have to say is Brandon is an awesome tattoo artist best I’ve seen in years. We will most definitely be coming here for our tattoo needs.

The woman who pierced my lip was nice and all, HOWEVER, She completely missed the mark and pierced my lip crooked. It was supposed to match the other side of my lip which was already pierced and they are obviously uneven.

Totally great brandon was quick and great talent lets you take break whenever. Totally professional and clean. Did not go too deep but color is. Excellent. A++

Every tattoo I have gotten has been from State Street Tattoo and they are all amazing. The colors stick and stay vivid and I have so many compliments and I cannot say enough good things about these guys.

They Did My Nose Piercing Back In November And It Was Great ! I Went Back To Get An Earring Change. Love Them!

I’ve been here for all of my piercings and I won’t go anywhere else. They’re very quick and the jewelry they use is high quality and makes the piercing easily accessible and easy to clean

They should have more than one piercer in there or a person that’s does both tattoos and piercing. Idk but waiting 30mins for a piercing kinda felt too long for me and got me to the point of discouragement of even wanting one. 🤷🏽‍♀️ Maybe another place would’ve been better idk I just moved out here

My wife needed a piercing removed State Street Tattoo did years ago professionally done and no charge for the removal thanks again SST!

I got two piercings from there and everything went smoothly and the girl who does the piercings seems experienced and i love that . Definitely will go for the rest of my piercings
