For me, getting a tattoo it isn’t just about the artwork but also the environment as well as the conversation and the overall experience in general and this one was my best ever! Jason is so kind and respectful. He went above and beyond to make sure my daughter and I felt comfortable and left happy. He has a gentle hand and is confident in his work, as he should be, but isn’t arrogant like I’ve experienced other places. Jason done an AMAZING job today on me and two of my boys. We all got matching tattoos in memory of my mother. He has to be one of the most light handed artist thats ever tatted me. The guy is super cool and down to earth. He went above and beyond to accommodate us not only on a Sunday but Easter Sunday at that. We all three will definitely be going back for more ink therapy in the future. I highly recommend checking him out, especially if its your first tattoo and you are nervous. Not all artist are that light handed. He explains everything that hes going to do when its your first tattoo. His shop was super clean and he shows you that everything he uses is sterile and still in the packaging. Jason you rock for real and it was a pleasure doing business with you. You will definitely be seeing the three of us again.

If your looking to pay FULL PRICE for a tattoo that looks like a jailhouse tattoo or something that is COMPLETELY different than what you ask for so I went to him and Ive been to him before and that tattoo was oki had spots that I had to get touched up or darkened but that wasnt nothing major I went back my dumb mistake I was getting rose made out of hundred dollar bills so I thought I was in his chair and I thought something was off with him bc he was just acting different so anyway I wish I could post a picture of you really want see it hit me up on Facebook but he put a regular super dark rose on my hand a regular rose with petals and all he then puts hundreds on the regular rose petals so its embarrassing I have to hide it cover it with makeup until I can remove it its to dark to do anything with I paid full price for the tattoo he never even apologized or offered to fix it he does this to ppl and charges them full price he doesnt give you exactly what the stencil he traces Im not the only one Ill never go bk there ever

THE WORST TATTOO I HAVE EVER GOTTEN. This is coming from a heavily tattooed person. Then to blame your client for having a “crooked hand” as to why you’re incapable of drawing a straight line is beyond ridiculous and quite frankly unprofessional.BE FOREWARNED GO SOMEWHERE.

Me and the homie went today and got the same tat and Jason did an amazing job and carried on interesting stories throughout the session.

I asked Jason to rework a tattoo that someone else did. The line work he did is very bad, and one part of the rework, he just blackened in letters. So, I’m still not happy with it. My biggest issue with Jason is he made me review his business RIGHT IN FRONT OF HIM! So, no wonder he has 5 star reviews…and he increased the price from what we originally discussed. He told me $100 for the redo and after he did it, he charged me $120. For those reasons, I would not recommend him.

Walked in for some ink therapy with family and was met with timely professionalism. He used disposable needles that were clean and was friendly/respectful. My tattoo looks great! Will definitely be coming back in the future! Thanks, Jason!

After my tattoo started healing, several lines were missed and the ink fell out throughout the tattoo. Being its on top of my hand, its a very regretted decision as it is probably the worst tattoo Ive ever received in my life. Booking with what you know and who you know, its worth the wait at other places. The original 5 star review I had left was a forceful review. He stood there and pretty much told us to leave a 5 star before we even left or had time to really look at the tattoos fully. Im lowering due to it looks very unprofessional as the outline of the tattoo transfer was what actually made the tattoo look good to begin with. Once the transfer ink faded from outline, few days later, you can see how badly lines were missed and etched outside the original design. My husband got a tattoo the same day, and nearly all of the lines fell out of his and lines were jumped and missed. My stick and poke tattoos look professional compared to the tattoos he did for the both of us. I can understand why the open to walk ins is active along with the 50% off tattoos. For the price, it is what we got. I encourage you to book and research elsewhere. Pay the extra money somewhere else.

This was my first visit to see Jason to get a tattoo. My daughter lives in Seymour so on my visit to see her we decided for me to get a tattoo for her. We came up with the idea of what we wanted and shared it with Jason. He did not pressure on anything let us make the final decisions on what we wanted. He was very helpful in explaining the process with us. He took the time to show me that everything he was using was new and clean and good on dates. Very sociable, which I love because it helps me feel relaxed during the tattooing process. I highly recommend coming to see Jason! He was amazing and does amazing work!

My wife and I were on a road trip from Philly, I wanted to get some ink done in Indiana while traveling through... Jason was open at 10 am and we are so glad he was. I told him what I wanted and we found a photo, within 10 minutes Jason had it drawn up and ready to go... he was extremely thorough and concerned about being clean! Gave detailed instructions on after care. We had good conversation and he has a very light touch. He gave me what I thought was a fair price. We were so delighted that after I was finished my wife sat down and got a little work done. Thank you brother Jason!

Very cool shop, and my artist was super professional. Hadnt had hardly anything to eat or drink all day, so I got a little woozy and light-headed when it got into the nerve-heavy areas. He was thoughtful and knowledgeable enough to stop, make sure I was good, run next door, and grab me a Coke to drink. Made sure I was able to relax, cool off, and get my sugar up before continuing. Also, the price was incredibly fair and he was super up-front about what he could and couldnt do, and what his specific expertise was. Ill absolutely be back, even if its just to chat him up and hang around to see some great work getting done.

I can’t say enough good things about American Gypsy Tattoo and Jason (the tattoo artist). He was great to work with! He took his time making sure my tattoo was exactly what I wanted (my mom’s handwriting and the angel wings from her headstone). Jason definitely has expertise & knowledge in what he does and guided me through decisions of size, shading, my skin type, etc., giving his input, but definitely leaving it up to me and what I wanted. Today was my first tattoo ever and I would say I’m grateful I went to American G- when I walked into the shop I noticed it was clean. Junior was very polite and asked me what I wanted and didn’t try to push anything on me. He talked me through everything he was doing step by step and showed me dates on everything and showed me that everything was brand new. He never pushed me to my limit. When I needed to stop he stopped. I just wanna say he is really down to earth and all about his work. You will never have to worry about any distractions with him either. After we got done he explained how to clean it and talked me through everything he did. I’m so thankful I went to him. I went here about a year a go and got a small tattoo of a sun. Cleanliness was on point and he was a nice fellow as well. The tattoo though was not very symmetrical the circle is egg shaped and the rays are off. He also pretty much forced me to give him a 5 star review on Google at the time.

I just got my first tattoo from Jr. He is easy-going, made my experience an amazing one. He talks to you like youre a friend, very down-to-earth. I knew what I wanted and where, but he offered some additions to make it more beautiful. I am definitely going back to him for any future tattoos. The shop is very clean and Jr showed me everything he uses before starting, sterile packaging to washing his hands. I knew from the beginning I could trust him to do a great job.

Terrible experience. You blame us for the outcome of our tattoos and claim we didnt take care of them. It healed perfectly !! The artwork is just plain bad. No problems with the healing process at all. You over charged us at the end and then charged my wife for a touch up on areas you totally missed !! When I asked for a touch up, you told me no. I definitely would NOT recommend this place.

Nearly all of my tattoos and piercings were done in Juniors shop. I have MANY positive things to say about the business and also about the owner. The shop is SO comfortable. It is updated and has an awesome vibe that helps me feel at home. I have never went into the shop shy or nervous. Junior helps adds to this by being just an all around amazing and down to earth guy. The shop is also so clean that is is imaculate. He also takes the time out to show you that EVERYTHING is new and clean. All of my piercings and tattoos have healed perfectly because he takes the time to answer ANY questions and always explains in depth of how to care for your new modification. Because of all of these reasons I would MOST definitely recommend him for anyone. He always takes that extra step, and is just doing what he loves. THANK YOU SO MUCH JUNIOR!

Today I went to Jr. to get my first tattoo! I brought in my own drawing of what I was wanting to get. I was afraid that he wouldnt be open to me bringing in my own work, but he was so awesome about it (I have heard that some tattoo artists arent a fan of that). Jr. made some changes to it, but kept it close to what I had brought in. Jr. gave me a little education about safe tattooing, made me feel very comfortable, did AMAZING work, and had an excellent price. I will be going back to Jr. in the future, as well as sending friends and family his way for any tattoos. I am so thankful that I had a great tattooing experience for my first time! Just with talking to Jr. you can tell that his work comes from his soul. He is so passionate for what he is doing and cares A LOT about his clientele.

Junior did a dream catcher on my arm and a phoenix on my side last week. I had 5 tattoos previously from artists, but from now on, will only be going here. He was very professional and great to talk to. I got two tragus piercings yesterday and he did a great job with those, too. I got a tattoo on my chest from Jason a little over a week ago. I was recommended to go to him by my boyfriend who has gotten 4 pieces from him now. He was incredibly understanding that I was a bit late to my appointment due to a flat tire but when I got there Jason was so nice. He already had the design printed up and we looked in the mirror to see how I would like it. He got me set up and stenciled. This is my 8th tattoo now and up until this point other artists have opened the needles in front of me but he made sure to show the dates and everything of the needles. He was so professional and caring the entire time. This tattoo is positioned close to my collar bone which is a painful spot but with his light hand it was so easy. In the past, I have always needed to hold someones hand but this was a breeze. He made sure the whole time he was working that I was comfortable and he wasnt hurting me too bad. I mean it when I say this...THIS was the best experience of getting a tattoo that I have ever had. Jason does amazing work and I recommend going to him.After, he cleaned and wrapped me up and had me watch him clean up and throw out all the blood and material that he used. He even took out the trash after my tattoo and my boyfriends.We went to the front where he explained to me the aftercare instructions which he was VERY direct and clear about. He even gave us the exact brand of healing cream and antibacterial soap. I have only ever used aquaphor on my tattoos in the past so I was a bit iffy about his recommended preparationH. He did explain to me why he prefer this and my boyfriend has had no issue in the past using it but my experience with it was different. It set my skin on fire and made it so sensitive and sore that I couldnt even put my shirt on and I didnt want to move my arm. I was in more pain at the point that I was while I was getting the tattoo. I convinced myself that it was just because its a fresh tattoo but after 3 days I wasnt healing at all and the orange dial antibacterial soap he recommended was drying out the skin 4 inches out in each direction from the tattoo. I have really sensitive skin on my chest so I decided to switch to aquaphor and now my tattoo has healed up perfected. Its still a little sensitive but besides putting lotion on once in the morning and once at night. I have stopped using the soap so that my skin can heal up.Besides my skin getting dry and being in pain from the aftercare (which was in part my fault because I knew I had sensitive skin but just went along with it), everything was perfect and I love it.Again, I recommend Jason to anyone who wants a wonderful experience and tattoo. I know that in the future I will be going back to him.

I have had three tattoos done by Junior. Junior and his wife are one of a kind people. They make you feel like family and in my book thats the kind of people I want to be around. My first one was done by him in 2011. It was a custom remembrance piece done for my cousin. I came in told him about my cousin and what he meant to me. He drew me up a piece that I love and still get compliments on. I was in today May.12,2016 to get my lower back retattooed after I have shity work done by (someone else.) Now my back is beautiful Thanks to Junior! I also had a starfish done on my foot that I love!!! If you want awesome quality work done then stop in and talk to Junior. Junior is awesome this is only my second tattoo experience but it beat the hell out of my first.Had a black and white portrait of my grandpa done and he got every little detail even the emblem on the ring.I will definitely be going back in the future.

I went in for a daith piercing for headaches but ended up choosing my rook. Because he was honest about the fact my daith was too small and the piercing would be rejected. Love the honesty! He was very knowledgeable about areas on the ear that would be good to help with headaches and his piercing skills were the smoothest Ive encountered. The shop is clean and friendly and he was great about aftercare instructions. Couldnt be happier and will definitely recommend to friends!

Dont waste your money cause you will have to make an appointment at a diff tattoo shop so you can have someone that actually knows what they are doing fix your tattoo because it will most definitely look like a jail house tat!!! Take my word for it because I had to learn that the hard way!!! You get what u pay for & I feel as though I shld have been paid just to let the so called artist apply ink to my skin since Im permanently marked with unidentifiable birds on both my middle fingers BIGGEST REGRET OF 2020!!!My reply to your response about the touch up wld be IT NEEDS A COMPLETE COVERUP LOOKS NOTHING LIKE WHAT U DREW ON ME BEFORE MAKING THE PERMANENT RESULT SOMETHING THAT NOBODY WOULD EVER CALL ART!!!

Interesting how every review of this World famous shop (even though he has only worked in the U.S.) is 5 stars and from unknown users... Every negative review he flags inappropriate, and has removed (like this one will be).I can tell you one thing, this amazing work is the farthest thing from the truth I have ever laid my eyes on. The portrait work is absolutely horrible! Pinhead looks like he has down syndrome and was splattered with blue paint, the other portraits looks just as bad if not worse... Come on people, you get what you pay for in this industry. Spend the extra cash you would spend on your $300.00 pair of shoes (clothing, purse, etcetera) that you throw away after it gets a stain and go get a Clean, well executed, tattoo that looks like the image/photo/picture you wanted tattooed. My tattoo work was the farthest thing from cheap, and it makes this world famous tattoo shops work look like my Southern Indiana Famous 10 year old did them...... Open your eyes, or get glasses people.

Got 2 tattoos done here. 1 wasnt bad, the other was not good quality, overpriced, and got severely infected shortly after. My sister also got a piercing here and it was a disaster. It was pierced in the wrong spot, bled everywhere during the piercing, and instantly got infected. He apologized multiple times for his mistake but still charged full price.
