I absolutely love the environment at Golden Heart. I’ve gone in a few times to have work done by Ella and she does an absolutely amazing job. She actually has done all my work and never fails to make me feel comfortable and confident when going in for more tattoos :)

Ive been here three times now. Ive enjoyed my time here thus far, and cant wait to be back. Nice, talented people here, working in a clean, welcoming place. Dusty Steeve has done 2 small pieces and 1 medium piece (pictured) and has nailed each one of them in his amazing style. I just had the chance to work with Unknown Liquids on a drawn on filler piece, and Im already hyped to do more in the future. Ill be back!

My artist is Tyler shults, he has been tattooing me for 3 years now and Im looking forward to also trying out mikeys style sometime in the near future.The shop that Mikey has built has the BEST atmosphere, culture, and creativity, I have seen in a shop in a long time. Its very private, they ONLY do appointments so random people off the street cant walk in while you are on the table. It is also a very clean environment, and they offer snacks and drinks to guests and music plays to help you focus. Tyler uses saniderm for the healthing process (best way to go), and his work is just so clean, original, and eye appeasing. He really cares about his trade and work. Make your appointment today! You cannot convince me theres a friendlier, more welcoming tattoo shop than Golden Heart. Just had my second tattoo by Mikey (IG @mikeyrocksvdc) and first one at the new shop. Both times hes tattooed me hes made sure I was comfortable and had a positive experience. I was unsure of the size and placement I wanted, but Mikey was patient and made sure the tattoo fit my vision. Super proud of the new space hes built at GH. Will be back for sure.

I was super nervous for my first tattoo. Mikey was so sweet, calm and understanding. Everything happened how I would of wanted it to, as I had no idea what to expect. Shop was very clean. I highly recommend! 💕⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Very amazing, welcoming people work at GoldenHeart! I worked with Mikey for 3 years and can’t recommend him enough! He creates insane pieces everyday, for his clients to enjoy forever. He’s so friendly and makes the tattoo experience very comfortable. I got the chance to meet Bradley. He’s hilarious and amazing at what he does! I had the best tattoo experience ever here! My tattoo artist Bradley was so talented, welcoming, joyful, and just so much fun to be around! The guys that were at the shop, Tyler and Austin, were also so nice! The whole time I felt as if they wanted me there and that they loved being there! It was a very clean studio and the set up was awesome! I also ended up with an amazing tattoo! I cannot recommend this place enough! (Also this is my first google review so if that doesnt tell you how amazing this place is, then I dont know what will!)

My tattoo was done by Mikey - he is incredibly skilled and I couldn’t be happier with the tattoo he did for me yesterday. The atmosphere was more than comfortable, I felt like I was with friends the whole time. This is the best tattoo shop I’ve ever been too. Mikey has done almost all of my tattoos and I’ve always been more than pleased with his work! His artwork and skill is unmatched. He works quick and always provides a comfortable environment. Can’t recommend him and Golden Heart enough!!

I have had 5 pieces inked from Mikey and they are easily some of the best on my body. I am always having people ask where I got them and cant recommend him enough. The best part is that besides making amazing art, he is truly one of the nicest people I have ever met in my life. Getting tattooed is an amazing experience with him. The respect for his customers is how all tattoo artists should approach the trade.

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!!!!! I’m soooooo happy with my tattoo, my experience, the shop, everything!!! Not only is Mike great; the entire staff is amazing and just an awesome environment to be in!! I have had friends previously receive tattoos from two other artists in the shop and their work has also been top notch!! I already have another appointment scheduled with Mike and trust him fully with whatever he comes up with; allowing him to basically have free range in his professional and artist abilities!! I can’t wait!!!!

This tattoo shop is beyond words! Mikey, Tyler, and Austin are beyond amazing people. They are so extremely nice and caring! They make you feel so comfortable with the whole tattoo session. My artist Austin goes above and beyond to make sure the tattoo is everything you dreamed of and more! He is so patient and sweet. I would travel hours just to get tattooed here no matter where they go. You definitely will not be disappointed coming here with which ever talented tattoo artist you choose.

Bradley has tattooed me three times and somehow each time is better than the last.The shop is clean and welcoming, everyone is friendly and professional and all the artists are extremely talented. I truly appreciate that they are appointment only.Highly recommend.

Ive been getting tattooed by Mikey for ten years. Obviously hes professional and immensely talented, but Ive remained a loyal client for far more than that. Mikey is probably one of the most genuine and kind people Ive ever had the privilege of meeting. He is absolutely devoted to providing the best possible experience, from hearing your ideas to creating a piece of art that will look as good twenty years down the road as it did on the day of your appointment. Hes curated an extremely safe and welcoming environment, where you know youre not only extremely respected but also heard and cared for. I would honestly follow him anywhere and Im thankful for him and his amazing artwork every single day. You wont find another artist like him.

I’ve been tattooed by Mikey five times and have had a wonderful tattoo experience each time. Mikey is very clean, professional, and detail oriented with his work, all things you hope for in a tattoo artist. But more than that, he has a huge heart for his clients and his work. He gives nothing but his best in all of his art and that gives me confidence to know I will always get a quality piece from him that I love to show off. Can’t recommend him enough!

My husband and I were in town for a weekend and we last minute decided to get tattoos. We got in contact with Bradley Kane and he did such an amazing job on our pieces! The whole shop is very warm and welcoming with kind people. We were so thankful they were able to squeeze us in! Highly recommend!

SO disappointed! I should’ve waited for the artist I requested. After all the research I did, I waited so patiently and chose to travel for Mikey to do my work in his new shop. However he pawned me off to another artist (Tyler). I should have just waited longer. He does decent work, but I wanted good work. Now I have to get the whole tattoo re-done because most of it faded after only 2 weeks. It looks like I got the tattoo years ago, the lines are too bold and the shading is not as good as Mikey’s. I wanted feminine and ended up with masculine. The shop and the vibe were nice, but the tattoo is not. I’ll be getting it fixed by a artist that’s more local to me as soon as I can find one that can and will fix it. And go thru all that pain & pay AGAIN! The shop quit taking my calls, blocked me online and won’t return my messages now. I cannot recommend this shop after the horrible tattoo experience I had. There are plenty of decent shops around Knoxville.

I visited Tyler Shults at The Golden Heart and was absolutely amazed at my experience. I immediately felt welcome and comfortable as soon as I walked in the shop. Everyone is extremely kind and made sure I was comfortable and didn’t need anything throughout my 6 hour session. Very clean studio and everyone is very professional. Tyler went above and beyond to make sure I got exactly what I wanted and executed it BEAUTIFULLY. Cannot wait to book my second session with him to continue my sleeve!

I have been tattooed by Mikey multiple times and have been blown away with the results each time. Such a great artist but an even greater person and someone I will always support! I got a tattoo from Tyler Shults today and I HIGHLY recommend this place. All of the artists are super talented and Tyler has such a cool style. He modified a design that I liked from another artist, which was cool. The environment is clean and professional and they had snacks! He made me feel at ease and I enjoyed talking to him as he tattooed me. I can’t wait to come back for my next one with him or any of the artists there.

This shop has the most welcoming environment filled with talented people compared to many shops that I’ve been to. I’ve personally been tattooed by Tyler twice and the experience as a whole is so positive. He has been amazing to work with and his tattooing skills are incredible.
