The place is a total vibe! It’s an experience, and the people there are AMAZING!! My daughter got a tattoo there today, she scheduled it last month, and has been so excited to get it done. This place did NOT disappoint!! It’s a beautiful tattoo, the artist is super talented, but also made her very comfortable and she enjoyed getting it done! What an awesome tattoo. What an awesome person. Isaac is one talented and gifted man. I know a lot of times people come into tattoo shops with trepidation, but with Isaac, you can’t be anything but relaxed. He puts you right in that mood immediately. He’s got a great staff, and he is truly an artist.

I was looking at this place and was a little hesitant because tats are permanent. I’m glad I put my trust into Isaac and Spike, Isaac gave me a nice tattoo and neither were heavy handed. His line work is great, they were professional and super sweet! I love that they are also family friendly and really just a nice place overall. Definitely recommend!!

They were absolutely amazing. The tattoo came out beautifully, and the artist did a fantastic job. He finished super quick too and was amazing in talking to me to calm my nerves (I have a super low pain tolerance, so it was great to get my mind off the pain). When talking with them, they were extremely nice and super welcoming, and when I got a little emotional, they offered water, tissues, and kind understanding words of encouragement. Highly recommend coming here. Safe to say I will definitely be coming back for more soon!

Great place amazing shop! The atmosphere is whimsical and nonsensical(lol). Got my tattoo with the owner Issac. I was a walkin and he took me straight back the work is amazing! Definitely, recommended! Issac was light handed and there was minimal pain.

10/10 would recommend to anyone. The piercer Spike is fantastic I’ve been there twice in 2 weeks. Least painful experiences I’ve had with piercings. They made the entire experience fun and relaxed. Also everyone was very nice and welcoming at the front. Prices are great too. I live an hour away but the drive is worth it. I’ll be back in 2 more weeks lol

I met with Isaac , the owner of the shop and I had been wanting a tattoo for my brother and sister who both were killed 9 months apart from one another. This tattoo was very sentimental to me. Knowing this would be a forever tattoo, I had researched shop after shop before I kept landing on this particular shop. I got my tattoo on 1/7 and I couldn’t be more happy with it. Isaac was phenomenal and he cared to know how I was feeling the entire time he tatted me. AMAZING Artist , Great service , and such incredible people! Definitely recommend and will be returning.

10/10 recommend. The owner & tattoo artist, Isaac is amazing!! He made me feel so comfortable while being tattooed, allowing me to take a break for a second, talked me through some steps and even allowed my input when drawing up my tattoo (some artist dont do that,) he was even receptive when I wanted to change some things to his mock up. His work is amazing & he runs a really great business. Even the receptionists are so nice & welcoming.

Ive gotten 2 piercings from them so far my Septum and my daith both have come out really good the Piercer spike was super gentle and was really nice to sit and talk to after the session but over all very professional and clean shop tattoo artist Isaac also did my buddys tattoo and it came out very nice

I am always super nervous about going to a new tattoo shop. These guys were amazing. They made me feel welcome and were very professional. My artist (Isaac) was incredibly friendly and made my wife and I feel like he had known us forever and we belonged there. The decor is fantastic with the Alice In Wonderland theme. Isaac was able to do the tattoo cleanly and immaculately with minimal discomfort. I was nervous that my tattoo idea was silly but everyone was very supportive. Will definitely be going back there and highly recommend them to anyone looking to have some work done.

Great place that is willing to work with you for design even if all you have is a base concept. Their new piercer is wonderful as well and is great in helping you find jewelry that look good for what you are doing.

I would definitely recommend!! This staff are very professional and respectful. The shop is clean with a very unique and quirky decor. I took my 75 yr old mom in to get a tattoo that matched one that my daughters and I got at another shop in Shawnee (BTW- I would not recommend Squid Ink). The lady at the front desk and artist Joie made us feel very welcome. Joie did an excellent job matching the tattoo. Love this shop!!!!

This place was amazing. My artist was Joie, she did an awesome job. It was my 1st piece and all the staff walked me through the process, the artist made sure my piece was exactly what and where I wanted. I had a great time in the chair the whole time I was getting work done,The whole time she made sure I was ok, if I needed to stop or take a rest. She walked me through the aftercare and they even sell aftercare kits! Definitely going back to this place and couldnt be more happy with my result.

I was so excited to see the Mad Tatter was doing piercings again and Mason Patrick was so on point with the three piercings done between my daughter and I. They look so good and the placement is amazing. So happy with this.

We took our 14 year old daughter to get her nose pierced, Deacon was great with her. He was very professional, funny, and great with my daughter. I highly recommend him. The place was really nice and everyone there was very friendly. My son gets some really great tattoos there as well. If you need any tats or body piercings go check this place out.

This was our first tattoo. Blaine was our artist and he was so good and professional. They sanitized everything. They were even understanding when we had to call and push our appointment out a couple days. (I called before the day of the appt of course). I am very pleased and I am already planning my next one.

I got there a little after 9 pm and even though there was a line of people ahead of me, they didn’t turn me away and even stayed late to finish the last people. Very professional and everyone was extremely kind. Will definitely be taking my business there again in the future!Update: I came in about a week later for another piercing and my experience was just as amazing!

I went in about a week ago to have a couple of piercings done. One of my piercings had recently fallen out. I called up there and they were able to take a look at what was going on that same day. I went up there today to have it placed back into its original spot. Had a great conversation. I was very pleased with the service and dedication this man showed towards his passion. He was very professional and understanding regarding my situation. He is very educated regarding his passion and was able to answer all my questions. I was able to learn a bit about piercings myself. The atmosphere was Amazing. I love Alice in Wonderland and its like walking into the movie itself. I would rate this place a 5 star. I will be going back! 😉

After a bad experience at another shop in town, we went here to get my granny in for a matching tattoo. They were booked a few weeks out for more complicated things but squeezed us in almost the day of. Our artist was SO cool, clean, and professional. I’ll definitely be booking an appointment with her for my next tattoo when I get the chance to go back to Shawnee.

Super cool place! My first ever piercing and Im very happy with placement, I paid $45 for my nostril piercing, there were cheaper options but I loved the one I chose. Waiting rooms, one with Foosball and car games, other with movies and bean bag chairs. Definitely coming here for another

The Mad Tatter is the best place to go. Each artist puts their all into their work and make sure youre comfortable. I just got this piece done on 12/19/2021 by Blaine. Its my favorite now🖤

Went there a a year ago or so and never really wanted to leave a bad review. But now that my tattoo is fading I will. Went in with a tattoo in mind and thought out. Smaller chest tattoo. They ask for 400$ for it, when I had said I only have 200 and I could go somewhere else the artist had told me “Well I can do it for 200$ but the price is going to affect the quality” I should have walked out then and there. I have the worst scarring where my tattoo is! It’s so bumpy and gross feel. Not to mentions but there are multiple spots that were filled in and went outside the outlines. The guy tattooing me said he’s been doing this for 20-30 years. Didn’t seem like it.

Very casual and nice employees. The piercer was real laid back until time for the actual piercing and he got very professional and businesslike in explaining the process and after care. Compared to other businesses the prices cant be beat either. Pretty pleased with the whole experience

I came in for a simple ear piercing and it was my first so I trusted they would do a decent job. after getting my piercing reviewed by others who have ear piercings. I noticed that it was crooked. not worth the fifty dollars I would have been better off saving my money and doing it at home. I Will never again go this shop if they messed up a simple ear lobe piercing.

This place is clean. The staff is very friendly. My son got a tat there today. The artist was very informative on how to care for the tattoo as well. The interior is like walking into a story book. They also have a layaway program if you are wanting a lot of artwork done. So you dont have to worry about breaking the bank.

Really professional establishment, my wife got a tattoo high up on her ribs and needed to take off some clothing in order for her skin to be accessible. The gentleman who tattooed her was extremely professional and did an AMAZING job! He was also very easy going and nice to talk to.

Nice facility. I have gotten 2 tats from here and had a good experience here 3 years ago. This time we couldnt get right in because they were so booked so since we werent from around here we didnt get one. My advice go ahead of time days maybe even weeks to plan your next tat, it is worth the wait!

I had schedule an appointment for my 1st tattoo in 37 years and was excited. I had a friend warn me Staph was going around that shop. I also been wanting my nose pierced but their piercer is never there. So I sent a message asking if the piercer would be there today and that I was told Staph is going around their shop just to give them a heads up of whats being said. To help them out. They state, you got the wrong place no piercing happening here and no appointment here cause we tattoo friends and your not known to me. Dont message me again. Thanks but no thanks. Ive already paid the $50 deposit. That is very rude to someone trying to help. Ive also been excited about this tattoo. Ive lost respect for this place even more now.

10/10 would recommend. The shop is beautiful, clean, and the people are wonderful & very professional. I got a piercing yesterday and the piercer really listened to what I wanted and did it perfectly, there’s very little pain and swelling. If you’re looking for body art, this is the place to go.

Got to pick a tattoo as a Christmas gift, I was nervous because of how cheap a price Isaac quoted me, but it turned out great. Quick sick work, I would for sure recommend him to anyone. Also, Isaac has good taste in music, the jams he was playing helped keep my mind off of him drawing on me with a needle lol.

I’ve gone in several times with my niece and best friend for piercings. The piercer is the reason for the poor rating. I’ve never met someone with such poor customer service. He even went as far as to call my niece a narcissist for wanting her piercing moved into a different arrangement than he recommended. All 4 times I have been there, he makes jokes the entire time how he needs a tip. You can tell he is clearly not happy with his job and wants to give off a bad vibe. He ruins the entire experience every time.

Absolutely LOVED it here. I got my septum pierced, and while it hurt (as is normal) my piercer (“Tweedle Deacon”) was very calm funny, and reassuring. I didn’t experience any blood from the piercing, and the price was phenomenal!!I was a firm follower of 23rd street in OKC, but the drive was a bit much to make, and I was curious about prices and cleanliness in Shawnee.I expected to spend around $80 for my ring and piercing fee, including tips and aftercare, I expected to spend around $90-$95.For my piercing (ring and all) I paid $30. My aftercare spray was $8. INSANE, RIGHT?I know you might be thinking “you get what you pay for,” but after several tattoos and piercings, I’ve learned what a clean shop looks like. Theirs is spotless. In addition to being spotless, the theme is like none I’ve ever seen before!! It’s so much fun and so inviting. The staff is friendly, informative and funny as well.I’m definitely making this place my go-to shop from now on. 10/10 from me!

Isaac and the ladies there are so personable and Isaac does amazing work

MY FIRST REVIEW EVER. NOT My first visit, it was pleasant. My second however. We arrived when they opened. With 2 ladies ahead of us. One was taken immediately for a tat. Other lady was waiting for ear piercing Same as us.. She was done by 1231. I was understanding that it was gonna take longer and I patiently and nicely waited Our turn, through training new employees and after another 25 minutes of waiting AFTER they 1st lady had LEFT & it literally being our turn, new customer walks up, & they ask what she needs she says her ear ring changed, few seconds later, she was brought in by the piercer ahead of us again leaving us waiting yet again. OUTSIDE., They tried to tell us that our stuff had been sanitizing the whole time, right. No you choose that customer over us. PERIOD.mind you my entire family Of 5 was sitting in the truck Waiting also they were waiting over and hour total. definitely not my idea of customer service,I was completely fine being there for 40+minutes and being NEXT. Buuut once they let some lady that Literally just walked up, ahead of my daughter, just cause hers service was less than 2 minutes faster Than ours!? .. TF OUTTA HERE. They should have let her wait the little 10 minutes it tooK for us to get ours done. And her time she Would have waited, still wouldn’t have been close to my wait time. We didn’t leave until 110 pm.WoNt return.I won’t ever return.Mind you I asked yesterday for an appointment they said they don’t do them during this time.

I went in to get my first tattoo and I had Blaine. He was reassuring me that everything was fine and he was amazing. He sanatized everything you could smell it. And he talked to me throughout the whole process he was very kind. I highly recomend Blaine.

I have had piercings with no issues and I understand people can have issues with piercings. I got my nose pierced by the piercer there. He had an alright attitude when I met him. I listened to his instructions. My nose didnt react very well after almost a month of doing the instructions. I called to speak to the piercer he was rude when I told him what was going on. I came in like he said to do. I asked if he was there ,the guy up front called for him. He was rude once again and said what do u want. He told me instructions and said it was a scar and to put coconut oil on it. It was infected that didnt help at all. Took out the piercing. I just dont understand his attitude thats not good customer service.

The facility is clean, the front of house staff is nice and welcoming. The reason for the low rating is that I went in to get my nose re-pierced and the piercer was super condescending. I told him I wanted a hoop and he made some comment about how everyone wants a hoop because thats how the cool Pinterest kids do it, but it wouldnt hug the nostril like I want. I told him I started with a hoop and liked the way it looked and he reluctantly said hed do that. Since Im not so arrogant to ignore the advice of an expert I decided Id just start with a stud. I ended up not being able to do it since Im still nursing (even his explanation of why they wont do that was off-putting), but Im happy to wait and go back to 23rd St Body Piercing where they dont treat you like an idiot because you have no visible tattoos or piercings. Maybe he was having a bad day or something, but that interaction alone was enough for a poor review from me 🤷🏼‍♀️

Had my nose pierced now 4 times and I have a very bad experience of a past piercing the bar curled in my nose which is something most have never seen happen so Im either a good story or an ego boost and well out of all 4 this was the easiest one I have EVER had my eye didnt even water!! He buys better quality which cost him more yes but it makes the experience so much better and still cheapest in town! TIP him the difference you would have spent somewhere else he is worth it!!

Got a tattoo here a couple years back paid $1000 for a half sleeve and there’s tons of mistakes poor lines and now there’s fading . Gonna have to spend more money to get it fixed. So in my opinion way over priced for the quality you get

I went in to get a consultation with two other people and the girl at the front desk pointed in my face and told me while laughing “this one can’t get a tattoo.” Not only did you lose my business but my respect. We intended on getting a group of our family tattooed but because you were so rude and pointed your finger in my face and told me I couldn’t get a tattoo instead of ID’ing me we all decided not to even think twice about going back to get tattoos there.

Got my septum pierced it looks like workers were very nice and sweet definitely will be coming back to get more
