Modified Design Tattoo & Piercing

My friend and I both got pierced by Ariel on Sunday. This was my friends second piercing by Ariel, and my first. I received the conch, and she got her tragus pierced. Such a quick, clean, and painless experience for both of us. Couldnt be happier. I will definitely be back in the future. I already have a couple more piercings picked out. Highly recommend!

Got my belly button pierced here 2 years ago, have gone in twice to get new jewelry and both times they haven’t sold it to me because the piercer wasn’t there, but there was a cashier at the register? i’ve never heard of this before and it was a really unpleasant interaction both times. will not be returning for tattoos or jewelry.

Ive been here several times and have always had a great experience. My piercers were great, and Savanah has done both of my favorite tattoos. I got my philithrium pierce the other day and I have no discomfort. I was a derp with my spider bit and had to remove it, but I will be going back to Modified to get it one last time! Nik was great and Im excited to return.

He really wanted to make sure that the tattoo was correct like the picture that I sent in for a consultation. And the things that didnt transfer over onto the stencil, he made it correct with no issue. Everyone who works there is nice, the place is very clean. Highly recommend.

My nose piercing was pierced wrong and on a nerve she told me not to ever clean it it got infected don’t ever get piercings done here

Not to long ago I went to Modified Design to see tattoo artist Savannah. She was so nice and sweet. I provided her with an idea I had in mind and told her to put her own design and touches to it. We went back and forth on ideas, and it turned out breathtaking. Very easy to communicate with and she listened to what I wanted. She had such a light hand and made sure I was comfortable the entire time. The facility was super clean and everyone else that worked there was super nice. I was pleased with the pricing and all the instructions on how to correctly take care of my new tattoo. I will will definitely be going back to see her again soon!! I went in to get a dermal removed today. India is so professional and sweet! I also really appreciated her apprentice Ariel. Both Gems. It was affordable, I was comfortable and would highly recommend! While im here, Ive gotten all my large tattoos at Modified. Sean is so good. His work is outstanding and hes so nice! All around good people at the shop. 10/10

I’ve had my nose done 3 times by 3 different people/ businesses and this was the best experience by far!! The pain was so minimal…I was amazed! The place was spotless! It was so comfortable and cozy. As soon as you walk in from the moment you leave you feel welcomed. Sean was amazing and really calmed my nerves. He made conversation and took my mind off the pain. It was my first tattoo and I went in a bundle of nerves and the atmosphere and people made me feel so much better about the whole process. My tattoo was relatively cheap and it only took 20 minutes. The quality of the tattoo is breathtaking and turned out perfect. Never going anywhere else.

My daughter made an appointment 2 weeks in advance to get her first tattoo after she turned 18. The artist came over to us at her appointment time (7:00) and said he was running behind on his last client. He said it would be 30 minutes to an hour before he could get to my daughter. We agree to wait and said it was fine. It wasnt 30 minutes to an hour. He didnt come back over to us for 2 hours and 45 minutes after her appointment time.Just because this is a tattoo shop doesnt mean that basic customer service shouldnt be used. His previous client should not have gone over my daughters appointment by 2 hours and 45 minutes. He should have explained to that client that he had another client and finished her piece at another session. What the point of making an appointment 2 weeks in advance if you arent seen until almost 3 hours later?The only positive Ill give him is that the did good work, my daughter loves her tattoo and he gave her a large discount for the wait.

Well let me start by saying India was AMAZING. I am 10 out of 10 not a fan of getting pierced cause I’m a big ole’ baby. She made me feel comfortable, and as relaxed as possible, given the situation. The piercings I got were quick and she talked to me to keep me calm and alert the whole way through! The shop is super clean and very nice and inviting. It’s obvious to me that he cares about his shop and the people he has working there with him. Seriously awesome people, great customer service. And India is a sweetheart. 🖤 thank you all for the whole overall experience. You know I’ll be back!

I have 4 tattoos from them and going in for a fifth soon. They did some cover ups on me that are WOW quality. All of the artist are AWESOME! The place is very clean, and they are very professional. I have been to other tattoo shops, but this one is by far the best i have been to. I really like how nice every one is, they were all really cool with me. Its very easy to select an artist and set an appointment. I would highly recommend them, especially people seeking high quality work at a fair price.

Very nice staff and spotless environment. I got a memory tattoo for my granddaughter back in November and Jon did an amazing job in designing it! My daughter and I got matching tattoos yesterday for her birthday and Jon did those as well. I love Jon, he’s amazing at what he does and very understanding and does exactly what we want. We will be back in May for my sons memory tattoo and my tattoo for my 2 grandsons. Will definitely request Jon to be our artist!

This was an amazing experience!!! I have been to many studios throughout my years of collecting piercings and tattoos, but I have never been treated with so much respect and empathy (to which is extremely important to the exchange of energy during a body modification in accordance with sacred practices) that isn’t normally reciprocated in many body mod shops. My piercers name was Nick. He was thorough and willing to answer all questions and concerns I presented, as well as give strong insight to assistance with healing procedures and in depth explanations of how each style of healing impacts different skin types. To which many don’t actually know. He pierced my septum, nostril and was even willing to take on my high nostrils. I am in awe to how my piercings have come out. Nick walked me through all options when we began my unsure request together and Nick didn’t disappoint even slightly when I gave him full reign over decorating my facial anatomy. I will continue to see Nick no matter where his experiences take him because his passion radiates with how he expresses a deep connection to his canvases relating as much as possible to show you are in good caring hands with him (Nick) as your piercer. I’d give this experience a 20 on a scale of 1-10 and did not feel rushed at any point while Nick took his time and made sure I felt 110% comfortable with all placements of my piercings. Thank you Modified Design for allowing me to be introduced to such an amazing Body Modification Artist!

Ive gotten two of my larger tattoos there (my favorite tattoos lol) staff is awesome. Artists are incredible, creative, professional, honest, helpful and hospitable. I was there for almost 4 hours for my latest tattoo and my artist Ben Amos bought me a soda n always made sure I was comfortable. The shop is clean with a sweet vibe. Ill never go anywhere else and would recommend ANY of the artists!

From the moment I opened the door to this amazing shop , to my departure I was impressed. I was greeted immediately with a warm smile by a man named Drew. He was very knowledgeable and helpful with the questions I had. He set me up with Rickey the Owner of the shop who, was also extremely nice and welcoming. He pierced my bellybutton so fast, I didnt even realize it was done. He gave me instructions to follow for cleaning etc, and it has healed nicely. Having that experience made me want to go back. I scheduled a tattoo with an Artist by the name of Chris. It is absolutely beautiful. Chris was pleasant to talk to and extremely talented. The shop is cozy, and clean, and the staff made me feel like family. They are all laid back, yet professional and make you want to come back for more. I most diffidently will be going back!! I dont think Ill go anywhere else! Thank-you Drew, Rickey, and Chris for showing me what it means to truly care about your customers and for making me feel welcome! I appreciate the rarity of this in todays world.

Walked in on a Saturday evening around 10:30pm. Me and my friend both got our nostrils pierced by Nik promptly. Wonderful job...super nice guy...very clean shop. Will be back for future piercings!

The prices are kinda high for this area (I paid 180 for two small black designs) but given one was a very small lined knot ring that they did not think could be done at first but caleb was on point with a steady hand and made it happen for me and even exceeded my expectations. The employees where very friendly and not stuck up. The shop was very intriguing with plenty to look at while you wait and very clean and comfortable. I will definitely go back to have more done!

Always super clean and friendly. India is the best! She is very knowledgeable, and caring. She gives you all the Information you need to keep your piercings from getting infected and provides tips to help with the healing process. She’s quick and helps distract you from any discomfort or pain you might be feeling. She stayed by my side and assisted me when I started having a panic attack. There is no one else I would trust to do my piercings.

About a year ago I had a piece done at another shop that turned out quiet a bit different than what I originally had in mind. After some time I decided it was a decent tattoo but it didnt visually look complete. Looking to get it fixed up, I had spoken with a lot of people who referenced Modified Design. In my experience I went and spoke with a girl their named Savannah who was patient when listening to what I was trying to have done to my tattoo. She was able to draw me up a couple of sketches and help compromise a way to fix what was troubling me. Needless to say, I am very pleased as it looks even better than I originally envisioned it. I do not regret my decision to check out this shop and I will definitely be back for my next one. The entire staff and environment was comfortable to be around, and best of all very clean and sanitary. Thanks to Modified Design and to Savannah for putting the light in my tattoo.

Always clean, no funky smells, no clutter. Friendly staff. I’ve only been here for piercings, several years ago, the guy who worked here took awhile to get work done. I had India do a snug piercing on me yesterday. There was a girl in front of me who she had to do 3 piercings on first, total time in the shop, beginning to end, was 30 minutes, and the girl and I were both filling out paperwork before our piercings at the counter together. India is that fast! I’m super impressed. She made me feel comfortable, made sure I knew aftercare instructions and gave me her contact info for her days off from the shop. I can’t attest to the ink here, but you cannot go wrong with getting pierced by India!

Modified Design was very professional and extremely welcoming. The parlor is super clean and sanitary. I got a memorial tattoo done by Sean and he was very fast and friendly! Hands down, the best tattoo shop I have ever been to. The dude at the front desk, Drew, was a total badass. He knew every answer to the questions I asked him. He joked around with me as if we knew eachother. My artist, Ben, was awesome. The tattoo came out perfect. It was almost unbelievable how clean this tattoo shop was.

My husband and I went in after checking out 2 other shops. The first one was totally booked last night, tonight, and tomorrow. They told us to come in tomorrow around 4:30 just for a consult then wed have to make appointments for a later date. The second one didnt seem at all interested in actually helping us. We went in and asked for a consult thinking hed sit down to help us come up with an original tattoo specific to us and then give us prices. He just stood at the counter asking us what we wanted. We explained we wanted to sit down and him help us come up with a design or some lyrics and a possibly design to go around it. He didnt even ask us what lyrics and told us something like that would start at $200 each. Again we asked if we could sit down. He pointed out 2 chairs and handed us a book that was full of tattoos that had nothing to do with us or couples at all. So we left there and went to Modified. Jon met us at the counter and asked what we wanted. We told him we wanted a couples tattoo but didnt know what. He said he wasnt the one on rotation for walk ins but hed get someone that was. He couldnt find anyone. So he sat down with us. We talked to him about the lyrics and a design. He asked for the lyrics and said for the lyrics it would be about $200 for both and we could come back for a design when we decided on what we wanted. Then he went to work finding the right font and size. He did an amazing job. There was minimal pain and then charged us less than he quoted. It was a great experience and we will go back. Im glad because it is my husbands 1st tattoo. The rest of the staff was also very kind as well. Thank yall!

I went in today to just get an estimate on completing an unfinished piece and left incredibly happy!Ox gave me a great price on completing the piece and was even able to start working on it today.He was very patient with me due to my low pain tolerance and took a piece that I was very unhappy with and made it gorgeous, and its not even done yet!Im excited to have him finish this piece and I will definitely be having him do my next piece as well!

The lady that works there was extremely rude. We walked in with our kids, there was not a sign on both doors. No explanation as to why, but we were rudely pushed out of the studio. We’ve been tattooed for 30 years all over the world and have never been asked to leave in this manner. What is going on here that is inappropriate about getting a tattoo? We are from Austin, tx and have never experienced this.

Every time I have came in this place with a friend for their tattoos I always feel unwelcome and the artists always talk to me like they are better then me. And I have never been rude to any of the artists. Every time a friend wants to go here I always try and talk them out of it because of how me and my other friends were treated.

I have spent hundreds of dollars for three small tattoos. They ripped me off on price. when you get a tattoo here too they will tell you that you get only one free touch up on there work. most places will do as many as they need if they did the work. that part doesnt bother me its the fact that I have called the artist I have used multiple times for a touch up and they wont do it. I do not recommend this place unless you want to get ripped off on price and later have to find and pay someone else for a touch up.

Ive had two tattoos done by the guys at Modified Design. The first one done by Ben Amos about a year ago and then another done by Chris Hale. Both do outstanding work and are incredibly creative artists. The staff is friendly and welcoming. I live in California and and Modified Design is the only shop Ill go to when Im in town.

The shops EXTREAMLY comfortable, clean, & friendly!! You have got to go!! I drive all of the way from the south west side of Dallas to go get my tattoos from them. Sean is the artist I use! He is pretty bad ass, as a tattoo artist as well as human in general! I’ve seen the other guys & girls work and it’s sick desirable work also, Ben has a really cool signature style that I’m intrigued by, maybe one day I’ll get a piece by him(fingers crossed, maybe at the next tattoo convention), the faces of women he does is killer! Savannah does some really cute work, she’s a very nice person and if she’s not busy and checks out your work her voice is cute it takes your mind off of the pain you might be expirancing! The piercer (😓I keep forgetting her name) is awesome, a couple of years ago I needed a piercing changed out her knowlage of the equipment she uses and adivce is the best I’ve ever gotten from a piercer! I went in and got my first tattoo today from Jon. It was remarkably clean. I was expecting a simple cross with a fish hook and a fish but he went above and beyond and I am really impressed with how it turned out!

Don’t waste your time. These people have horrible customers service. Results seem to be great, but wouldn’t you rather send ur money on a place that acts like they want your business.

The people here are really nice but Im not sure the piercers really know what theyre doing. Last month I came in wanting to get my septum pierced but wad told I didnt have the anatomy for it. So instead, I asked if I could get a smiley and they told me I could. So I thought about it for a few weeks and then came back, just for them to check again and tell me that I couldnt get a smiley either. Im not sure how they made that mistake and told me I could get it the first time, but I was so bummed that they got my hopes up and I couldnt get a new piercing.

India did my piercings and was very friendly and professional to. I came back 6mths. Later and she took out my nose piercings for free because I needed to change to a clear nose ring for a job interview. I was amazed at how professional and friendly she was.

Chris did an amazing job very professional will use them again he explained tattoo care and drew out an awesome badass tattoo for me to carry on me for my dad who’s battling cancer highly recommended this tattoo shop thanks Chris so much I will see ya again soon .

All i did was call about pricing for a piercing and got the rudest guy. he launched into why only having one lip piercing wasnt good enough experience with them for him to pierce my cheeks. he also claimed that i hadnt done enough research even though i had been researching for months. he was rude and i will never come here again. Also his reply to this is a complete lie

I cant speak for any of the other tattoo artists, but Ben Amos is a waste of space. Hes rude & obnoxious. Get the chip off your shoulder and start at least attempting to act like a man and a decent human being with a thread of integrity. Regardless of your narcissistic, superior, holier than thou attitude, you are still in the customer service industry, period.

Brought the wife here to get some piercings. The piercer started before my wife was ready. My wife winced in pain because she wasnt ready. The piercer apologized to both of us for not making sure she was ready. Definitely will be back

By far the best tattoo shop Ive ever been in Ive been going to Ben (Dead) Amos since I was 18 Im completely happy with all of the work and always suggest friends to go to Ben or at least the shop. Reasonable prices. You get what you pay for!!

Went to get the kiddos belly button pierced ..... After an anatomy check they decided it wasnt a good idea. She was sad that she wasnt able to get pierced. So now we are off for a second opinion.
