I went here twice on friday the 13th😁 i got 7 tattoos done by chris that day in total, and they all turned out AMAZING. i got a scream and moth tattoo done by herb about two months beforehand as well, both artists are very friendly and patient!! both of my previous ones healed beautifully as well. All of there staff is very nice and accommodating. most importantly, there very sanitary and do SUCH good work. they always have me leaving w a smile on my face. 11/10 recommend!! 😁

Just came in yesterday with my fiancé and we couldn’t be happier! The attention to detail is crazy… so many people have asked who the artist was already! Styles (hope I have his name right) was great and the people who work there were super chill & friendly. Definitely coming back to get more done

Got tattooed by Brandon and he was so kind and funny. Had to step away a couple times to laugh cause of his jokes. Made my tattoo feel almost painless and did a great job. If I lived around the NJ, I would come again 10/10. Friend of mine got tatted by Sydney and may I just say came out beautiful as well. Great prices and great people.

Found a gem of a place! Excellent work and service! Great pricing too. I had two tattoos done by Syd, she does fabulous work. I also had a tattoo done by Chris who also does fabulous work too. My husband got one done by Melissa and his came out great. My son got work done by Herb, which also came out fantastic. Not many places I found did walk ins and had the pricing and awesome work that we got done at Upscale. We can not stop recommending this place to anyone we know! From what we seen all of the artist there are great, you can’t go wrong here. The front desk service was perfect too. Great experience from the moment we walked in. We will be back again real soon!

I found Upscale Ink Studio this past weekend at the Wildwood Tattoo Convention. Herb was amazing! So talented, took his time, asked questions, made sure everything was just the way I wanted. He was fabulous! Can’t say enough good things! Definitely want to check out their studio space since it’s so close to my home.

Came here for a walk-in struggled with a couple other places that do walk ins due to overcharging and pushed back appointments but came here today and was in and out. Everyone there is nice, easy going, and willing to work with you. Thank you Ciara for your service and guidance and thank you Herb for doing my tattoo today and making it stand out!

It’s weird how they have little kids running around the shop and it reeking of weed, understanding that is a strong thing to say about this establishment look at all of the responses they give to people that hav expressed themselves on here. It fully cements confirms the way that they run a business and the things that was said about them. I came in during a flash sale for a tattoo on my knee, gave them a photo of how big it would be and how it would look like and got a quote. Came in after the appointment was set up and they didn’t seem to have me on the schedule so I was like fine no problem in waiting. Later on I start to notice the things that where off with the place like mentioned before with the kids running around and the place reeking of weed and was wondering about how sketchy this place is with how the legality of that works. When I was sat down the lady tried giving me a small size of what we had originally agreed on for the price of a tattoo that was supposed to be bigger. Basically downsizing it and playing it off that the reference I gave them was that little and that I had to go up in price. Didn’t matter I had money to tip her anyways so I added that to the tattoo instead. Only reason I’m leaving this here is because of the other reviews and their experience on this establishment so I figured why not. I feel like this should go without saying but if y’all respond to this in a rude way it just proves everyone’s experience here. The only false reviews are the good ones at that point, idk start laying off that bush dawg

I got tatted by herbtats, amazing artist really takes his time with his clients and makes the piece come out very good. The place was clean and everyone was friendly. This was my first big piece and Herb made sure it was just how I wanted it and added every little detail. Definitely recommend this shop!!

Herb was my tattoo artist and when I say this is my favorite tattoo I mean it ! I felt very welcomed when I came in the staff is super nice and comforting ! They were laughing friendly with eachother ! Herb went above an beyond on my tattoo ! I am very picky and he has no issue doing it an explaining everything I asked ! LOVE 10/10! Walked in after seeing the instagram post randomly come across my feed. An I’m more than happy that I did! They allowed me and my sister to be taken immediately after looking through some of the options that were apart of the $40 flash sale they have going on. There so many little cute options to pick from. Jarehd “HERB” did both of our tattoos and he was so kind and light handed that I barely even knew he started. I walked in for a custom line work tattoo, and I left super satisfied with how it came out! Brandon did an amazing job with the design and details :) Super helpful and patient in the process of deciding where to place it. Definitely recommend going there!!

I was recommended by the owner’s girlfriend, used to work with her a while back. She mentioned about the tattoo shop and being an artist like myself, we went over some references and I was blown away. Finally came to the conclusion that I now know what I want and where I want it on my body, only matter of fact is where I want to go to get it done at. By the reviews and photos of artist’s work, thought this was going to be the best. However with the lack of communication through the receptionist, did not end well. As an artist I of course want the best kind of art especially if it’s going to be on my body. This was going to be my 4th tattoo, I typically book my appointments but this time I didn’t. I called ahead to double check if they were busy for walk-ins and if a small outline counts as a flash tattoo in order to be a walk-in. The front counter receptionist over the phone told me they were not busy and I could come in. It was only about 15-20mins in between from when I made the call and was on my way over. Being under the impression I could go as a walk-in from then being told when I get there they can’t take me and to just come back Friday. I called to get clarity to see what I want to get done if it were best for an appointment or as a walk-in. I have no problem booking an appointment because I’d rather get the best kind of work, artist, and treatment. Figured going to a new place with remarkable designs would be the best spot for my next piece. Not sure what to think because part of me wanted to give this place an opportunity. As an artists especially being a designer I would overall appreciated better communication.

Mel was my tattoo artist and she was amazing and professional, I never felt uncomfortable and I enjoyed the conversations we had while she was tattooing me. The staff as well was just a vibe and chill to talk too definitely coming back and recommend working with Mel.

My first time going here was a very chill experience. Everyone was welcoming. Desiree, currently an apprentice, designed such a cute tattoo for me and is a lovely tattooer. So happy to have more artists of this style coming up, especially black woman tattoo artists 🤎 this piece is healing nicely.

It was my first time at this tattoo shop and I found my forever artist! This establishment was clean, organized and professional yet a relaxed atmosphere. Cyd did an amazing job on my tattoo the fine line work is out standing.

So far Ive had 2 sessions with Syd and I definitely plan to see her again for more work. I feel like she is light handed which is great and her work is beautiful. Every piece she does looks like perfection. The shop itself is bright and clean and I like the vibe. Easily deserving of 5 stars.

Called ahead and was told to come on in. When I arrived the girl was very rude and told me she was closing after this tattoo. It was obvious she had no interest in helping me. Didnt even offer to make an appointment at another time. Very disappointing.

Love these guys, my boyfriend got a tattoo with herb and his tattoo turned out amazing, the shading, shape, everything is beautiful, he was super friendly and just a super chill guy, very informative with the aftercare and overall sick. I got my tattoo done by Brandon and it was super quick, it was a small tattoo and my first and it was such a positive experience and a great person to get tattooed by if your just testing the waters with your first one, even with it hurting his vibe just makes me wanna go back and get more! He was super duper friendly and joked around the whole time, everyone in the studio we had contact with just made you feel like you walked into a friends house. I had an amazing experience at the Baltimore Tattoo Festival getting work done by Herb from Upscale Ink. This was my first tattoo on a hand, and Herb was quick and had a light touch. It was actually the least painful tattoo Ive ever received. His line work is great! Highly recommend. Im going to definitely check out their shop next time Im in New Jersey.Also, the studio had probably the best table for fun flash, turning it into a treasure hunt of sorts. Smart business!

This is my very first time here, they do very clean lining, it’s sanitary which i appreciate and it looks very clean here too, i got tatted on my right arm, tbh it didn’t really hurt. my man getting tatted on his neck which he’s chillen of rn, say it doesn’t hurt. def will come here again no doubt. the prices are reasonable and tbh not bad at all, very surprising compare how talented everyone is. the one that i got tatted by was @herbtats and the one did my man was @wiggz_body_art

Got a watercolor tattoo here today. It was amazing so vibrant and stunning got tatted by Herb! Great atmosphere and flawless work.Definitely ready for my next one.My mom at 60 also got her first tattoo here for Mother’s Day last month she’s also ready to go back! I definitely recommend this place!

We went here under assumption that a $40 tattoo was available to us for the flash sale. we got there and the photos they posted on social media with the promotion of the flash sale, were not even $40 nor close to it. i understand size and color and what not, but why post them if they’re not actually apart of the flash sale? i went through the books and asked the receptionist which ones are $40, and instead of helping me through the book she just said “they’re all mixed in”. i ended up picking a design i liked for $50. she said it’ll be an hour and a half hour wait, no big deal, it was a walk in. after waiting THREE hours, the lady said they are short staffed and can’t fit me in today. if you knew you were short staffed why didn’t you tell me that 3 hours ahead of time? wasted 2 hours of driving and 3 hours of sitting in my car. good thing i didn’t waste my money on their business, i am beyond upset. i understand that tattoos take awhile and that i would be waiting since i was a walk in and the pricing, but the lack of communication and false advertisement was crazy.

I loved my experience and can’t wait to go back for more tattoos. I didn’t call ahead just walked in and I was ready to be tattooed within 15 minutes of walking in the door. I went there last night , and my tattoo artist Sib!!! She was lit 🔥. So excited about doing my tattoo, which made me feel more excited to get it done. I got tattooed at Upscale Ink Studio by a man named Herb. The service he provided was phenomenal. For instance, he made sure I was comfortable before he started the tattoo & did all the necessary steps to make sure everything was sanitary. Also, he made sure that I liked the area the tattoo was going to be placed before starting. He did the tattoo very quick and precise. I am grateful that he was able to bring the tattoo to life as I expected. I would definitely recommend him for all your tattoo needs.

I went to the WW Tattoo convention for the first time. I stopped by Upscale Inks table and was looking through their thousands of stencils they had to choose from. I found so many that were awesome!! I ended up sitting in Herbs chair and got 2 tattoos! Herb was super nice and answered my questions and put up with my sister and I taking a ton of pictures! I highly recommend Upscale Ink and Herb!

Got my first tattoo done by Manny. He was very informative and welcoming. I was super nervous about my first tattoo, but he made me feel very comfortable and he is very gentle. It didnt hurt nearly as much as I thought it would! Upscale has such a comfortable environment and all of the artists are very friendly. Quality work for a very decent price. Will definitely be coming back in the future.

Came up to this shop from DE to get a flash tattoo and it was great. Not too far away and I’m already thinking about ideas for when I come back. We were walk ins on a busy Friday and everyone was nice and friendly. My tattoo came out great. Just a heads up- nothing bad, just they did only take cash at the time, could just be for today so just to be on the safe side make sure you bring cash! Or maybe call ahead to confirm. There is an atm a couple stores down just in case.

Walked in today with my own small design and picked out a flash to add as well- Herb was friendly and accommodating as I made multiple adjustments to the placement.Unfortunately both tattoos already have blow out and it has only been about a week, something I have not experienced with any of my other tattoos. Definitely a bummer as this studio was great otherwise.

The lady working at the front desk as well as all the artists I came in contact with here the other day were incredibly kind. Herb tattooed a couple of my friends and I. He was quick and super light handed. He happily answered all questions we had and really worked with us to figure out exactly what we wanted. I cant recommend this shop enough!

Was recommended this place by my mother on law. The folks working here were very friendly and helpful. The inside was very clean and each station had plenty of room in case you wanted a friend or family with you.They also include several large books of flash tattoos all in varying ranges. Even with a semi custom tattoo it was very affordable. I would recommend this place again.Reasons for 4 out of 5 stars. There were a few comments made by a worker that I didnt like. Parking lot is a little tight but not fault of the shop at all just wanted to state it. Very limited seating in the waiting area which makes sense as it is a small area.Shout out to wiggz who did this profile of my son. It came out great and recommend people to you!

First off - you enter the tattoo parlor and sierra is the coolest, nicest girl. Syd is an AMAZING tattoo self taught artist been working there for 3 years…I showed her the picture of what I wanted and got exactly what I asked and I’m so grateful. She was easy to talk to, laid back, made me laugh. All the guys too were friendly saying hello :) I work in the medical field so wanted something small and dainty (I’m in recovery too) “let go let god” and the “d” on god will naturally fade which I asked for. Very quick service, clean, professional. If I decide to get more this is where I’d be coming. Thank you Syd!

Shout out to Syd!! I’m not gonna lie when I first walked in for the 40$ flash sale I did not expect to sit for a 2 hour tattoo…but I’m so glad I did! Syd took her time and she made sure the fine lines were on absolute point. The entire studio was clean and honestly aesthetically pleasing! Came across these artists at the Villian Arts Convention in Baltimore. My artist was Troop and he was excellent. We had a small snag on my first day and he was extremely patient and offered for me to come back the next day to finish. He was very efficient when tattooing and made sure I was doing okay the whole time. 100% would recommend Troop for any work you need.

Met this group of people at the tattoo convention in wildwood!!! i’ll definitely be paying a visit for another tattoo. Brandon hooked my boyfriend & I up with very clean line work. a fight actually broke out, but don’t be alarmed, the way these people rallied around their own was actually comforting. i knew i was in good hands! the girlfriends were also very helpful & made light of the situation. they really hooked us up. the set up was very clean, & brandon’s lines are even cleaner!! can’t wait to visit them again next year! 5 star first tattoo convention experience lol!!

I would never recommend anyone to come to this establishment. The receptionist provides poor communication, and the owner is beyond rude. I was informed to come in at 10 am, and when I arrived, the shop was closed. I texted the phone that I was told to text after sending a deposit and didnt receive a response. I even called and was unsuccessful at reaching anyone. Never in my life have I encountered a tattoo artist as rude as the owner of this shop. When i went in person he didnt say hello, apologize for the lack of communication from him or his shop, or the time I wasted coming in so early even though he knew he wasnt going to be there because he ended up telling me but still didnt apologize or anything knowing I was scheduled.I was nice and spoke calmy to the receptionist and the artist, but I guess some people dont care about the way they treat their clients . Not only did he already seem to have an attitude to begin with, but he also made smart remarks the entire time I was in his chair. He even had the audacity to tell me he did me a favor by squeezing me in while giving me an attitude and shaming the tattoo I came in to get revamped. I didnt ask for that appointment date it was given to me because the slot opened up, while I was there making an appointment, so that wasnt a favor, and it didnt stop there he literally argued with me the entire time even when i said im not trying to be on bad terms with him or to start things on a bad note i just wanted to know what I should expect from the session for today because i was informed that the tattoo would take two sessions. Did i have an issue with my tattoo needing two sessions, no, but it would of been nice to be told that prior just so that i was aware. After he continued to bash my tattoo and make rude comments, he said, Let me just give you your deposit back. What you paid? smh. The owner was so immmature and couldnt of just greeted me, apologize for any inconvenience and say something as simple as things started off rocky but hopefully I can change your experience and give you a beautiful tattoo lets take a seat and see what i can do...... I can go on and on about how terrible my experience was, but Ill be here all day.

Brandon, is an amazing artist. He made sure I felt comfortable as well as liked the placement of my tattoo. Overall i had an amazing experience and will definitely be booking with him in the future !

Great service and hospitality. I was greeted by Gab who applied my stencil and assisted me in choosing the placement of my tattoo, she was very warm and welcoming definitely made me feel comfortable before getting my tattoo. My tattoo artist was Renny, firstly he does great work that speaks for itself. He’s very truthful, when asked if it would be painful he explained the pain level and assured me the pain will be minimal and quick. This is my SECOND visit in ONE WEEK! That should say enough within itself! I won’t be going anywhere else for my tattoo needs! There’s nothing like getting tattooed in a comfortable environment!!

I got my tattoo done when they were at the wildwood tattoo convention. My cousin and I wanted a design that wasn’t flash(which most tattoo shops were doing) and they were really accommodating. My tattoo artist was syd, she was really friendly and nice and did a great job on my tattoo. I will be going back there for another tattoo. Thank you so much!!!!

If I could put zero stars I would 😭 I drove 2 hours and was told I would be able to just walk in. Once I arrived I was told to wait because 4 people were ahead of me, after waiting about 2 hours, she then informed me that I wouldn’t be able to get the tattoo today. So after 2 hours of driving and 2 hours of waiting in my car for nothing. I wouldn’t recommend here, sorry.

As somebody who currently has twenty-six tattoos (as of posting this review) I have to say Upscale Ink has the nicest staff I’ve ever met and worked with. Cartel Ink tattooed me and was thorough with asking what I wanted and he even fixed a section of line work on a tattoo I already had on my shin. The tattoo studio is well organized and clean with flash options up at the front desk and the tattooing spaces. I personally recommend that if anybody is interested in getting specifically anime/cartoon character tattoo to come here and check out the selection of what they already have and to even discuss custom tattoos with them because they will work with you and your preferences, and they will give you professional recommendations and instructions from the beginning of the tattooing process to the aftercare when you leave the studio. Herb, is the artist that I worked with prior to him coming to this shop and he never disappoints! His work is always clean and very detailed. I’ve been to the shop twice and plan to make more visits to elaborate on other pieces and get new pieces. I highly recommend Herb!

I have been following Renny and his work for years. I was excited to see that he opened his own shop. We stopped in one night for a consult, and he introduced my kids to Manny. My son and his wife got tattooed that night. My youngest son messaged Manny with ideas for an anime tattoo, and what he designed exceeded all of our expectations. I went in here after seeing the 40 dollar flash tattoos and they had so many options like a whole big binder and I was very impressed and I got a medium sized dagger and the artist name was jared Im pretty sure and he was so nice and he was very respected and I have a few messed up tattoos from my last artist who took advantage of me and I brought that up as concern to him when I decide to fix them and he said well take care of you and that makes me so happy and reassuring especially as a young woman who has trust and anxiety issues and the pain was my least painful tattoo I ever had in my life and I felt I was cared for so thank you jared for the amazing tattoo and time I really appreciate it and I will be back soon for more

Extremely unprofessional shop. I booked an appointment days prior, and when I went in for my scheduled appointment, the artist already accepted a walk in. She wasn’t done with the client and I was told I had to wait. Not even just 5 or 10 minutes, a half hour. Again, extremely unprofessional. Will not be booking any more appointments here.
