Acme Tattoo Staunton

This was my second time at ACME. i had Kevin (K.M Edwards) today for a traditional floral piece. he exceeded my expectations by a long shot. very friendly, understanding, communicative, and an amazing artist. he was sure to give me breaks and talk through everything we did. i definitely will be returning and referring as much as i can. stand up place & artists! thanks again!

From India to Staunton , 2nd visit in acme tattoo. 1st visit was in 2018 for my first tattoo. this is the place to go to !Tim did my tattoo and he did such a great job.Got two tattoos done by Tim and he did a great job. He was very helpful , Friendly and knowledgeable with adjustments to the design and placement.  Really nice shop and the receptionist/ Desk person was nice as well.The vibes in the shop are so welcoming.Would definitely come back if I ever need another tattoo!

I’ve been here twice and both times I had a horrible experience with the brunette receptionist. She was such a bit*h, judging my choices, being blatantly rude and super insulting, and then I got overcharged on my tattoos because of it. The tattoo artists are super nice but the receptionist makes the place a super unwelcoming and judgmental environment and I got ripped off twice for being a young female who is “inexperienced”.

Awesome experience got my first tattoo last Sunday and it turned out way better then I would of imagined insanely talented artist drew it up exactly how I was picturing and the environment is great definitely be going back whenever I want more done

They do good work, I’m just not a fan of the prices they charge. If they don’t want to do something (Beth, especially), they say “that’s a big piece”.. when it’s literally just LINE WORK! Instead of making up excuses, just tell me you’re not interested in doing what I’m asking… I’ll gladly find someone else who is.If Kevin is not there, don’t waste your time.

A clean, crisp environment & an extremely friendly staff. :) my artist was conversational, and he took his time with my tattoo. He asked me as he went along if it was how I wanted it & Im in love with how it turned out.

Got my tattoo done by guest artist Dan B, its so vibrant and gorgeous! If youre on a budget, this might not be the place for you, but youre paying for a very high quality tattoo. Candace is very sweet and helpful, she helped me set up my appointment and gave me some tips for healing since this was my first colored tat!Definitely recommend and I cant wait to come back. 🤭

I was able to get a walk in here and could not be more happy with my experience. Everyone at the shop was super friendly and its a clean, welcoming space. Kevin did a great job with my tattoo, was quick, friendly, and Id be more than happy to get more work from him in the future.

Love the guys at acme! Quality of work is exceptional and my go-to place for a new piece! Check em out, you wont regret it.

Got my first tattoo here, at the ripe age of 62. Candace was really helpful getting me set up, and Kevin did a fantastic job. Just a simple motto, but I was treated like a regular. Highly recommend.

This shop is wonderful! The staff are professional and very nice. It was my first tattoo and I love it! Josh was the artist and he does amazing work! The tattoo was in memory of my son, Josh. I’m so pleased with it and would recommend him and the shop! Great experience!Thanks again Josh!

This place messed up the date on my forearm and promised to laser remove the date for free !!!! The artist immediately put peroxide on the date and it’s kinda lighter, so it’s definitely messed up now …. I have called them twice and talked to the lady that answered the phone, she took down my name and phone number, but nobody has responded to my calls yet !!! My tattoo is special because my Mom died and it’s in honor of her death and her birth date. So make sure you check your tattoo before you get it and while you get it. My tat is beautiful it’s just wrong .!!!!

The location and the ambiance of the shop was very nice. Inside was extremely clean and hygienic. My tattoo artist was recommended to me by a few of the customers at the place where I worked and I decided to give it a try. It was $400 not including my tip for a tattoo that is about the size of my palm. It was too expensive. I got a bigger tattoo later from a different shop in a different state that did a better job in less time for less money for a tattoo that was slightly bigger with more colors. Having said that, The color on my tattoo was poorly saturated but the line work was absolutely brilliant. The lines are crisp and very good looking. I don’t live in the area anymore but if I did, I would go back.

This was the most comfortable and chill environment I have ever had a tattoo. Staying in the area I was pointed toward ACME for a tattoo on the road. It has a great vibe, at least while I was there. Although I was lucky that someone was a no show, Candace was ready to get me in later that day. Her and Beth were awesome and direct the whole time. Very professional and courteous as well.Beth was my artist. She listened to what I was looking to have done and after discussing the design and making modifications she drew up the final design. When talking about the colors I gave her artists preference. Design and then amount settled she went to work.This was the first tattoo I didnt see at all in the process. When the reveal happened I was more than happy with her work. Totally would recommend her to anyone.

My wife and I both got tattoos here. We were able to walk in without an appointment. The entire staff was very friendly. Jake, who did our tattoos, was able to take our ideas and draw them out more beautifully than we had originally imagined. His tattoo work was superb and he was gentle with my wife when she was a little nervous.We are both VERY happy with our tattoos and would strongly recommend this shop.

Took my 19-year l-old younger brother here for his first tattoo. His artist Kevin was extremely kind and talented, and it was a great experience from beginning to end. Excellent place for a first-time tattoo or an any time tattoo!

Ive gotten several tattoos, color and b&w, from several of the artists at this shop, and I love every single one. The shop itself is incredibly clean and open. All the tattoos that have been done here have been very well done. Shading is spot on, colors are still vibrant years down the line, and linework is solid and very detailed. And prices are really decent, I find. I definitely miss living near this shop!

5 stars! Shop was clean, inviting atmosphere. Walked in with a tattoo design and they offered to do the tattoo as a walk in; made an appointment instead. Tattoo took 2 1/2 hours. Kevin did an amazing job, very happy with how tattoo turned out. Would go back if I got another; would highly recommend!

The guy that did my tattoo was very rude. Also he was very heavy handed and made me bleed a lot. He missed a gap between one of the spaces that was supposed to be filled. And the whole time I was there they were trying to tell me what to get and what not to get and where to get it. When their purpose is to sastisfy the client no matter what. I will be getting a cover up Over this tattoo at alley cat. I highly suggest you do not get tatted by Tim.

Ill start out with the shop. I have been in a few shops over the years, but this shop the feel of it is awesome I love the traditional flash and the over all vibe the shop gives off. Cleanliness no ink smeared on the floor when one of the artist is finished with a tattoo, the station is cleaned immediately and wiped down. The artist beyond amazing super helpful and they actually take the time to know 100% what you want and i like that they will draw a design versus just pulling something off line and going with it. Also the work that they put out is beyond amazing and you can tell they have passion for what they do! They also take the time to explain after care and then give you a little slip of paper with after care on it. Furthermore I understand the that it is a tattoo but this one is not blasting rock music or foul language I love the music thats played. If you havent taken the time to see this shop I would suggest doing so!

Everyone I met was friendly and easy to work with. They helped me with my design choice and even made it a bit better than I was looking for. The artist was Kevin.(It looks better in person, as I have a terrible camera on my phone.)

The shop is the cleanest parlor Ive been in. The owner tries and succeeds in making sure you are getting what you want. I asked for a tattoo on the rim of my ear but he refused because the ink would spread in time. I knew he was the person I wanted to see. Its more than the money. He takes pride in what he does.

I absolutely love Acme! So far, both of mine have been done by Tim. He does have a slightly heavy hand, it seems to me, but that could just be because Im so tiny and got both of mine done on my ribs. However, I will ALWAYS recommend Acme to anyone looking to get quality work. I will continue to be a loyal customer to Acme for years to come.

Friendly and fantastic is a great way to operate a business. We had asked so many people who to go to in this area and Acme was the overwhelming response. Our work was done efficiently and with care. We will for sure be back again!

Came in as a walk-in.....They treated me like royalty. Tim is a great artist. He is currently working on a piece on my right arm. Started by someone else, being perfected by Tim Forbus. Love that guy

Tim Forbus and the staff at ACME are all great and easy to deal with. They have good pricing and are very efficient and clean. I recommend them to every body from small to large tattoos! Theyll help you through each step of trying to find what tattoo and place of it to needle hitting skin.

Acme tattoo is clean, professional and friendly. Open to doing any design you present them or pick something off the walls, either way youre going to get a kick ass tattoo and an awesome experience. Jacob Hockman is a smooth tattooist and knocked out my 9 inch piece in just under 2 and a half hours; with good pricing and awesome atmosphere im absolutely looking forward to going back for another tattoo.

Acme tattoo is the best tattoo shop. Tim has been tattooing my husband and I for years. We now live in TX but always make the trip back to VA to get tattooed by him. Highly recommend!

Got a tattoo there done by Jacob. I love it! The colors are super vivid and the details are beautiful. He was also super friendly and professional. (Its the orange fairy in the picture)

Tim & Jake are great at zappin that stuff in there. Yo, I would book a flight or board a train cross country to get work done here. There are so friendly & responsive to my constant nagging and whining. I was moving around and just being terrible in general and Timbo soothed me back into a tranquil state. really just absolutely fabulous. bravo gentlemen, bravo.

My daughter and I went there in January. They did awesome job on ours tattoos. My other Daughter now she wanted it her first tattoo there so excited.

Got my first tattoo done here and I was really excited about until I got home and saw the crooked line and the incomplete shading. Everyone was really nice and friendly but thats it... very disappointed

Tim has done several tattoos for our family. We always go in with an idea, and come out looking even better than we imagined!
