I had a great first experience at this shop! I was greeted at the door and shown around the place! Offered snacks and refreshments! And my tattoo artist Britney was absolutely amazing! The most kind and talented shop I’ve been to in a long time, would definitely recommend to anyone!

Margaret!Thank you for finishing my fifth session with that special mermaid tail that covers a spinal protrusion from a diagnostic extraction of bone marrow when I was twelve. Your creativity and dedication to your works of art are commendable in times when it seems customer satisfaction has eluded many. Going to post the last of the tatts. I love it.6/10/24 Update: I cannot say enough about tattoo and creative artist, Margaret, who tatts at Scarlet Moon Tattoos, LLC., here in Staunton (VA). It began with an idea (it is a memorial tatt for the loss of both my daughter and my best friend (and sister-in-law for 50+ years) and has morphed into mystical and unique body art. Because Margaret has outdone herself on my 3/3 sessions, I am returning for a 4th (and maybe 5th), to complete this amazing (and last) body art project. In with the new, out (reworked) with the old. I suddenly do not think of how old my bodys getting, but now when I see a fleeting glimpse of my aging arms (70 yrs), I see beauty, amazing and gorgeous body art (love the colors, too) that will remind me how smart it was to treat myself for a change. I will wear this art until, I too am, dust (see script beneath the cardinal...). Margaret, your artistic eyes and hands have created a new beauty for me. I am having difficulties transferring photos from my phone to my computer (senior behavior, lol). Bottom line, and this tatt parlor isnt my first, and Margaret, by far, trumps any and all tatts done elsewhere, including work by Hart and Huntington, in Hawaii. If you allow her to exercise her artistry your collaboration will result in your receiving one of a kind body art. And being different is what I was going for... and Margaret delivered!(Initial review) I decided for my upcoming 70th birthday, Id add a new tattoo to the body that wears its art. I researched local tatt parlors and instantly knew Scarlet Moon Tattoos was the place for me and my beautiful adult daughter (I wanted to treat her to some new tatts to give her an eternal memory of our relationship, a love that is an artform in itself). I researched Margarets (tattoo) artistic abilities and (again) knew I was in the right place with the right artist. I am nearly finished (after an upcoming session: three of three) an the beautiful right arm sleeve, something Ive always wanted to do and never did. We (me, my daughter, and Margaret) made a dynamic team that turned our creative ideas into a unique work of art. I will add photos after that last session and healing is complete, thats how beautiful the tatts we both got are. For us, it is a symbol of our ongoing experience together (mother/daughter). When body art is permanent, you chose the best artist for the job. Just an amazingly comfortable experience; Margaret aims to please and has an unstoppable love for what she does so well. I highly recommend this parlor and this artist.

Love this tattoo shop! Margaret is an amazing artist with a great personality. My daughter loves her new tattoo. We werent Jasons clients but he checked in to make sure we didnt need anything. Even offering to grab us something when he went on break! Thats going above and beyond for customer service. The owners are pretty awesome too! We will definitely go back and refer family and friends!

This is my second tattoo with Margaret! She does a phenomenal job. She respects what I want in my tattoos and doesn’t try to up-sale me to do more and took time to talk through things and ensure I was comfortable. The space is very clean, well maintained, highly professional and a comfortable setting for anyone whether they are getting their first tattoo or 20th one.

Jason is awesome. He is very talented. I have had two different tattoos done at Scarlet Moon both done by Jason. The place is very clean and the atmosphere is very nice. He did an excellent job on my cover up tattoo. You would never know it was a cover tattoo. I highly recommend Scarlet Moon.

Just got my first color tattoo ever and I’m obsessed!!! Brittany is fantastic, her had is light and she has great craftsmanship!!! Her personality is out of this world and the atmosphere she creates for you makes the experience even better!! I recommend paying her a visit you won’t be disappointed!!!!

I went here and got tattooed by Lily. Loved the vibe and aesthetic of the shop. Theres a lot of talent and experience here. Would recommend reaching out and booking with one of them.

From the moment I walked in the door Margaret made sure I was comfortable and that everything was organized and sterile. She has such a gentle touch and works quickly, so my tattoo was over before I even realized it began. The lines are crisp and the colors vibrant. Ill continue to go to her for any that I plan to get in the future.

Jason just completed my first tattoo experience and did a phenomenal job. He put me at ease, made the process easy, and was great to chat and connect with, which made my first time a lot less nerve racking compared to what I was expecting. The tattoo turned out great and Im definitely coming back here for more!

I first met Margaret 20 something years ago and I can happily say 98% of my tattoos are from her. I would probably be covered head to toe if I lived closer. She is the only artist I would drive 12 hours to have my ink done. I can describe what I want and she turns it into a masterpiece. I am proud to say #margarethurtme and I will be coming back for more.

Went for their Friday the 13th flash tattoo specials. Their choices were fun and unique for the occasion. The studio took people on a first come first serve basis and booked appointments that we didn’t have to wait in line forever. Margaret did a wonderful job on my new tattoo. She is very personable and had everything ready to go as soon as I stepped into the room. Margaret has completed 4 pieces for me and is always a joy to work with. If you’re looking for an amazingly talented artist she’s your girl!

I went in with 2 images that I wanted to combine into my tattoo. Margaret worked her magic and got it exactly right! I love the new shop, it is very clean and welcoming in Margarets style.
