Nathan Garcia/Moresoultattoo did my tattoo and the experience with him was awesome and the tattoo is truly a work of art! For booking, he is very well organized, responds to emails and gives you a form to complete that provides details of the process, an area to give him your ideas, and also provides after-care instructions. From when I walked in the door, he made me feel super comfortable and the drawing he had come up with was a perfect match.. The six hours I spent with him were a breeze- he asked what music I wanted to listen to, made sure I was okay and had a great bedside manner. Of most importance, the tattoo was beautiful and I would HIGHLY recommend him to anyone looking for a tattoo! Even after the tattoo I had a question and he promptly responded to me. What a great guy and great artist. Thanks Nathan!

Ray did an amazing job on my bottom knuckles. He charged fairly and spent the entire afternoon with me coming up with a design and then implementing his work. He was great to talk with while he tattooed and went above and beyond while putting in details. I cant say enough good things about this guy and his work. He also did my upper knuckles back in September. Which turned out fantastic. Got two more ideas in place for Ray when i can get the funding. With my photos it is hard to read, but they read SOULFUL with a set of negative space stars on the pinky, leading all the way into his previous work and giving it alot of chemistry. If i can get better pictures, i will update.

They are very clean, well organized, sanitized, and tidy for all of the Covid rules and regulations. Everything about the office, lobby, and the whole building is very well kept. Nathan Garcia did my tattoo and he was extremely thorough, took his time, made me feel comfortable, and was very informative/knowledgeable.He was the perfect person for me to see for my first tattoo. 100/10 recommend him & this shop!! :)

I could not be happier with the service that I was provided. Excellent staff, care and decent pricing. By appointment only, but they will give you an estimate, and a consultation before you set up an appointment on any work you want to get done. My artist was Scott, and I highly recommend him. Both skilled and fun to talk with as you get your work done.

Friendly staff but to be honest I scheduled consultation for removal 6 hours after tattoo… design wasn’t what I wanted but still looked better on paper than on skin, speak up if it’s not up to par. High hopes do not meet expectations

Went in on Tuesday for my first big tattoo, Brian did an amazing job. Was able to take pictures I liked and combined them all into a beautiful tattoo. I love it so much. Went above and beyond my expectations. 100% recommend. Definitely will be back for any future pieces

Everyone here is amazing! The studio is clean and all the artist are friendly! Go see Scott! He is a true artist and does an amazing job getting you exactly what you want. Book in advance. Hes worth the wait. Couldnt be happier and I will definitely be back!

Nathan Wilson and his assistant Becky set up a consultation with me over the phone just to cancel it the day before because he was focusing on larger projects and would not do my tattoo. I find that to be incredibly unprofessional and rude. I dont believe that was the real reason I was turned away because I was asking for a fairly large thigh tattoo. They do beautiful work but its not worth it if the artist and business are unprofessional with handling their clients. Im disappointed to say the least but Im glad I didnt waste any more of my time.

Scott Cook did my tattoo. The entire experience was fun, affordable, and Scott had the best bedside manner of any artist Ive met. It was a rib piece, and I get compliments on it everytime Im at the pool.

Scotty is the best! He did two of mine: one of them being a message my little grandma always wrote in my birthday cards, and it looks as if she wrote it right on my arm herself! His line work is incredible and he is super steady handed. He was very fair and reasonable with pricing, and was able to get me in day of. I was in and out within 45 minutes! I cant wait to go back and get my next one :)

This place is stocked with Very Talented Artists. But for myself i feel a shout out to Nadia, while my wife was getting her excellent tattoo, Nadia had cancellation and i am glad they didnt show. She was more than willing to help me with a BEAUTIFUL name dear to me. That is the PRETTY GIRL tat. Saw my tat on your page, and it was as pleasant talking to you as well. Thank you for the time n kind words.💙 I felt the same.👍 Now i look forward to You doing 1 under that. Will get with you on consultation. Side note: Brian did a fantastic cover up. And is doing a forearm tat in a couple weeks. So good they are here, makes you want to come up with something to have done. Lol True!!!!. Ty all.

My daughter and I went in on a whim for a tat... She had one previous tattoo at another studio and had a horrible experience. I can not say enough about the staff here at Independent. We both got GREAT tattoos and a great experience. The shop was clean, the young lady that greeted us was super friendly, and the owner who gave us our matching tattoos did super work... We both can not wait to go back and get another one. We highly recommend this place. You wont be disappointed.Rachele and Mikayla

I received a daith piercing here and the gentleman who pierced it was awesome. Very nice and professional. And I also just got a tattoo designed and inked by Nadia. This young woman is amazing!! Wonderful, original and so very professional. Would highly recommend her.

This ink shop has some of the best artists in metro Detroit that Ive met. Very Skilled + all have unique styles. I love coming here, esp for Nathan G /moresoultattoo who did these two amazing pieces. These are healed up, he does amazing linework and fine details. this shading is gonna last a long time crispy because of his technique.

I came in and asked to speak to an artist about an idea, I was introduced to Brian and he was able to fit me in for an appointment to accommodate my schedule. The piece came out great and the hourly rate made the price significantly cheaper than quotes I got from other places.

Great service! Roger is the best! He fixed a messed up tattoo I had done at a previous parlor plus i got another tattoo. Very clean and neat work. I am going back soon for a piercing and another tattoo. Much referred.

I had a very UNPROFESSIONAL experience with Scott, I tried to reschedule with him and he ignored my calls, voicemails and emails for WEEKS!! So disappointed and he didn’t refund my deposit when he told me over the phone that it’s refundable. NOT FAIR

This is pretty much the only studio my family, friends and I go to. Everyone here is amazing. Especially Savannah, her art is incredible.

My dude Scott is the bomb dot com, he did my tattoo and when the ink didnt wanna cooperate with my skin he ended up touching it up for free and he had no problem doing so. I recommend this above a lot of places
