Called on Friday afternoon and got in the same day for matching tattoos with my wife. They welcomed our kids to come in and watch the process and even put the transfer on our sons arm to match! Very awesome experience and great artist!!

My three friends and I called and got same day appointments for our industral and diath piercings. The shop is clean and comfortable, the staff super friendly, accomodating and professional. The piercer was fantastic. I’ve had a lot of needles pushed through my skin and Richard was seamless. When I lost a ball on my industrial, he not only put on a new one but also gave me two spares for free. Serious customer service 🤌

Richard Otten and I met in October 2020 for my first tattoo. I was not a tattoo kind of guy, but had two ideas that meant a lot to me and went to Richard on the recommendation of a friend who also owns a business in Sturgis. Richard did a great job with the tattoos and we became fast friends. I have since returned every month or two for a tattoo and I know that I will get quality ink from a man that I trust when I visit Sturgis and the Cellar. We have decided that I am officially a tattoo guy now and, as my bro Richard says so much skin, so little time! Love the guy, love the place. Highly recommend.

Richard was very open minded and took note of what I wanted and didnt want. I found his shop on a whim and even though I was nervous, he made my experience smooth and comfortable.Im very happy how my existing black & white tattoo turned to a bright, vibrate piece of art with all the right shades of color, that I pulled from my reference pics.

Great experience! Richard is easy to work with and accommodating to my last minute request to getting a tattoo after my husbands appointment! Light handed, pleasant and not a painful experience, actually discovered my ankle was ticklish during the process!

Richard is the best! I got my first tattoo ever today and it couldn’t have gone better! I love it and he made it fun so I had no problem relaxing even though I was a little nervous at first. He was fortunately able to get me and my boyfriend in this morning as we were passing through on our way back to Wisconsin and we will definitely be back for more the next time we get out this direction! Great service, great price, beautiful work and attention to detail!

We are from out of town but in rapid for an event, we called a few places to get a last minute tattoo and started to give up on the idea until we finally found Richard. Richard is one cool dude! We were lucky enough to be at his shop when he had a cancellation for later in the day. He immediately offered the spot to us and did four tattoos for us that night after hours. He gave us a tour of the shop which is huge and very clean. His work is great and fairly priced. Personable, funny and great at making you feel comfortable in his shop. Thanks for making our trip so memorable Richard! Next time were in town well be back for sure.

My husband and I have multiple tattoos from different states that we travel, and this was by far one the the best experiences we ever had. Richard was awesome, funny, had some sarcasm and was all around great!!! Awesome clean shop as well!

Richard was great! He did a quote on my arm and it was exactly what i wanted. I was in town visiting back in mid january 2018, and was able to walk right in. He even stayed open later than his posted hours to do my piece. The work is great, he was very professional (but also very funny!) and reasonably priced. Will definitely be coming back next january for more with him! Would highly recommend.

Absolutely one of the best tattoo experiences I’ve ever had (and I have around 12 tattoos) when we walked in the shop he was still tattooing and finishing up a half sleeve and was like an hour past close but he still fit my best friend and I in to get our matching tattoos. Not only is he quick and efficient but has the best personality ever. Highly recommend him if you’re in the area!

You were very professional and helpful. I came in needing a new nose ring being that mine fell out and I couldnt get it back in. He redid it and was very patient. My only thing is I am not sure on the size incase I ever need a new one. He was very honest on how expensive it would be due to needing gold. This was my first time getting something besides my earlobes peirced so I was nervous, but the peircer (bearded guy who I assume is richard) made me feel so much better about everything. It was done very cleanly and he did a fantastic job of explaining everything. Im super happy with how everything turned out and I totally recommend him for peircing.my friend was getting a tattoo here too and it looks stunning. his other work that i looked at looks amazing as well, and when I decide on a tattoo, I know where Im going. :)

Walked in to get some ink with my family based on their high reviews. It was clear from the start they wanted nothing to do with us, nobody getting work done so we could have easily been customers to them. The guy we were talking to was too concerned with eating his cake.
