My very first, and second tattoo were done here at mystic. The people were GREAT. Front of house staff, all the girls were very sweet and easy to talk to. A guest artist from Russia did my first one and it still looks amazing all these years later. My second one was done by the Late and great John black. Id known John from when he worked construction with my sons dad and tattoos werent legal here. The shop is very clean and it was just an absolutely wonderful 1st tat experience for me, so thank you very much to everyone! RIP JOHN and thank you for all you did ol man🖤🩶🖤🩶

Very pleased with the work Jason Reed did. This tattoo is amazing and the picture doesnt do it justice. The experience was great, comfortable and personal. I definitely recommend Jason and his shop. Very clean studio and a fun environment to spend a day getting tattooed. I have already been here before numerous times, but was ready to start my TMNT sleeve. Shawn was a perfect match for he is a fan of the TMNT himself and as you can see, the start of my sleeve looks amazing so far. Fun to talk to and very professional, as is everyone there. Highly recommend!

First time getting a tattoo, and it was an awesome experience. I had friends refer Sam Winter to me, and she did this beautiful work. The staff was very pleasant and was helpful for someone like me getting my first. They helped me book my appointment and called me the day before to remind me. I definitely recommend Sam and Mystic Tiki for anyone wanting a tattoo. Im already wanting to go back for a second!

Emily is absolutely fantastic! She is a true artist. Her tattooing is incredible but check out her Instagram so you can see her art work. Emily is talented, kind, warm, funny and one hell of an artist. I wont be going to anyone else to get tattooed. Right now we are working on a cover-up and its turning out so incredible. I gave her full permission to do whatever she wanted as long as it was flowers and OMG what shes doing is so beautiful!! Stay tuned for updates.

I wouldnt go anywhere else. Shawn has done all 4 of my tattoos and has done an amazing job every time! When I got my 1st tattoo here a little over a year ago they made me feel at ease and calmed my nerves about getting my 1st tattoo. Very easy experiences since with setting up appointments and the whole process. I have really enjoyed all of my experiences getting tattoos here so far!

Great shop! Clean, super friendly staff. Felt like I was hanging out with some friends. Emily made me feel so comfortable and helped me figure out the perfect placement for my new artwork. I would without a doubt highly suggest going to Mystic Tiki Tattoo for your next art piece. I walked in with so many questions, emotions and anxiety about getting a new tattoo. The receptionist was so patient and informative. She guided me to the artists portfolios, the scheduling process, cost estimates and payment options. Then I was able to meet one of the artists Shawn Sturgill. We discussed my design ideas, placement, sizes, colors and reasoning behind it. He was so sensitive to the fact that the piece would be a memoir to my family and two miscarried babies. He was passionate about making my vision a reality. To ease my concerns we scheduled an art check appointment with a few days to allow for changes until the actual application appointment. I was able to communicate with him through email for design ideas and changes with ease. The day of my appointment, I was able to see much of the studio. It was extremely clean and you could tell that hygiene was taken very seriously. All equipment was throughly sanitized or packaged new. Shawn truly cared about not only my physical comfort level but also emotional. He was very enthusiastic about creating a piece for something that meant so much to me. He put so much thought into the design with so many fine details. When we took breaks, he always returned with freshly washed hands and a fresh pair of gloves. Shawn was so easy to talk to during the appointments. He intentionally used a smaller needle and little pressure to make sure the design was flawless and the process would have minimal discomfort. After it was all done, he took the time to wrap the fresh tattoo with medical supplies so I could get around with ease. Then he clearly walked me through the healing process. Shawn even wanted me to feel free to have him check it after healing to make sure everything was perfect. My tattoo healed perfectly and it’s beyond what I hoped for. Shawn is a fantastic artist with passion beyond tattooing. I will absolutely return for any future tattoo needs.

I got my first tattoo done by Shawn. And I love it, he was very nice and gave back good feedback. He was very open and honest about everything!Along with showing what he was going to do/use during the process.The shop itself was very clean, and the front desk lady was very pleasant and helped with any questions I had. She even came by to check it out.

Nice clean shop with great artists! Zoe has so far done 2 pieces for me with the 2nd one still in the works. I came to her for initially a cover up of an old tattoo and then decided to get a whole new piece done. The cover up turned out great and very well done! The rest of the piece I wanted she took the time and sat down with me and advised that it may or may not turn out the way I wanted. So back to drawing board we went and will update my review on that finished product. Ive already sent several people to this shop including my sister and so far nothing but positive reviews from them as well!

It was an absolutely wonderful experience as usual! Took my 80 year old Mother-in-law to get her very 1st tattoo... she ended up getting 3!!! John is by far the best!!! He does amazing work & made her feel very comfortable! I so love this man both as an artist & as a good person! ❤️

I got an awesome piece on Saturday 07/16 by Jennifer. It was a piece I saw on her wall when I was there for my friends tattoo. I still have one more session to go for my color but I love it already. She is super nice, and patient. She explains everything as she goes along, and she has a really laid back personality. Shes very funny and chill so its easy to relax around her if youre ever nervous about getting tattooed. Plus her art is absolutely fantastic, and she is very talented! I definitely recommend her!

My Tattoo artist Zoë was awesome, made everything smooth as possible for my first tattoo, and was done with great detail.

I got a tattoo by Zoe, she was super nice and talkative to make us feel welcome.It was very simple took 10 mins. Zoe was pretty shaky and had an uneven pressure. They also charged me $100 (shop min) Now that it’s healed I’m having it fixed because it’s not cool.Everyone has bad days…but I won’t be back.

I had my very first tattoo done by Leroy and it was an amazing experience! Even though it was only script and fairly simple, he took extreme care and got it done perfectly and really fast at a very reasonable price. The environment is awesome as well; very clean, awesome music, aesthetics, and very welcoming for customers, especially new ones like myself. Would most definitely recommend him and the rest of the artists here!

Sam was FANTASTIC. She tattooed my fiancé and I the same day with tributes to our son. She took her time to make sure they were perfect. She was easy to talk to and we really enjoyed sitting with her for hours while she tattooed us. She will for sure be our go to artist for any other tattoos we want! She has two new costumers for as long as she’ll take us!

I have the best experience every time I go to Mystic Tiki! The place is always clean and the people are great. When it comes to artist, they have some of the best. No matter if you’re getting a large piece, a cover up, or if you’re a first timer, you will leave very happy! I personally recommend Leroy Brown, but I know you can’t go wrong with any artist at the shop! Five Stars all the way!

Jason Reed and the staff at Mystic Tiki Tattoo are AMAZING! They are professional and a pleasure to be around. They always make me feel at home and comfortable. I have been going to this studio for over 5 years now to get my work done. Jason always takes the time needed to work with me on whatever piece I want. He is able to take multiple ideas running through my brain and turn them into exactly what I want. Last night I went to get my 3rd tattoo from this amazing place. Atlas has done my other 2 so I knew he is the one I wanted to do this tattoo. He worked with me to come up with an origional design that we both loved. He is an amazing artist and he is my guy when it comes to getting tattoos. He made me very comfortable and even laugh a few times. Plus, he has awesome taste in music!The girl at the front was amazing as well. She was friendly and welcoming right as I walked into the shop.The shop is clean, well lit, and everyone there is so friendly. I felt very comfortable.

Jason Reed is an amazing artist and easy to talk to through tattoo sessions. Ive had two tattoos done by him and my wife has had two, soon to be three. Every piece has been amazing. Mine are full color with thick line work while hers are black and white nature scenes. I highly recommend him.

My best friend and I got matching tattoos, artwork by Atlas. We had a great time with him, he was super patient with my low pain threshold, and we laughed throughout the entire process. Last week I had a consult with Jennifer to get my Scottish family badge. She sat with me and we talked about not only the tattoo she was going to do but also the rest of the layout for my sleeve. She was full of great ideas and was super friendly. We made an appointment for the next day and when I showed up she had drawn out a beautiful piece. She did an amazing job and I now have a piece that I love. She will be doing many more for me in the near future!

Complete Awesomeness!!! Decided to get a new tattoo and from very thorough research, decided to go with Mystic Tiki Tattoo. The experience cant be matched. The shop was very clean as many have previously mentioned and customer service is great. However, one thing that spoke volumes to me was the personality of the artists. I was inked by Jennifer and I felt like Id known her my whole life. We laughed and talked the entire time completely taking my mind off the needle. This teams dynamic is completely awesome and now Ive had the pleasure of experiencing why they are the best shop in town.

John did matching tattoos for myself and my daughter. It was her first. He was very patient and gentle with her. Explained everything fully from start to after care. Both tattoos came out amazing. Highly recommend this shop

John is a 46 year experienced artist who is passionate about his craft, completely knowledgeable on the subject, and a pleasure to converse with on the topic of tattoos. The shop is clean, Covid conscientious, and very professionally run. It was my first tattoo which I got at the urging of my daughter and if I ever get another, it will be here.

My best friend and I went together to get tattoos and our experience couldnt have been better! We were greeted as soon as we walked in the door and they were very helpful in helping us decide the size and font of our tattoos. We both had Jennifer do ours and she was amazing and super friendly. My daughter drew a picture of me as a zombie and I have loved it for years. Zoey transferred it to my arm and I can look at it at anytime now. Zoey did a great job. She explains everything, shes not heavy handed and is very pleasant to conversate with. I recommend her with a full 5 stars. Not to mention the staff is courteous and the whole building is super clean!

This shop is the best in the area. Very clean. I was here yesterday getting a tattoo done. The staff and artists are very friendly. I did a lot of research on shops in my area. I was very close to going to Artistic Ink around the corner but I heard that the ink they use is very cheap. A friend of mine got a tattoo done on the top of her foot at artistic and it started fading after two months of getting it done. Parts of the tattoo were completely gone like it was never there! I then decided to go through with this place. I have heard nothing but good things about them. Jason has done two of my tattoos, foot and rib cage, both turned out phenomenal. He is extremely talented and capable of doing anything you want done. All of the artists there are talented. I showed him a picture of what I wanted and his work was identical. I have not had any problems with fading or infections at all. 6 months later after my foot tattoo and it still looks brand new. Again like I said I have two done and I plan to get three/four more. I will not go anywhere else but to Mystic Tiki. I love this place!

The vibe of the place is very welcoming and his wife and young lady that also work there were very friendly!! The place is clean and sanitized which was very important to me. This is the best place in town. The artists are extremely gifted. My most recent tattoo has attracted lots of attention and is Jason Reeds best work yet. The attention to detail is second to none. Cleanest place in the state. I highly recommend this studio if you are looking for the best.

This is a great shop. The shop is clean and inviting. All the artist are friendly and professional. Steve Jess Kiddin Beasley has done all four of my tattoos and is a top shelf artist. He made sure that I was comfortable and relaxed each time. I do plan on visiting again and have recommended the shop to all my friends.

My two sons and I both recently got tattoos from Mystic Tiki. All have healed nicely and look great. The studio was very clean and the staff were friendly, professional, and meticulous about ensuring a sterile environment. We all felt the prices were very fair. We know several people who have gone to Mystic Tiki and have had similar positive experiences (which is why we went there). My sons friend in a rush went to another local tattoo studio. He said compared to the two he thought Mystic Tiki was a lot cleaner and a better overall experience. Based on my experience this is the only place I will go for any tattoos I get in the future!

I went in Friday and got an amazing start to a Harry Potter tattoo done by Ashley. The shop is amazing and everyone is extremely nice. There are tons of original art work everywhere and the shop really caters to original tattoos. So you wont find those premade tattoo books hanging up. I would highly recommend Ashely Henson for your tattoo needs. She makes beautiful art and really has that customer service piece down also!!! If your in need of an original piece just hit them up!!! They all rock!!!

Minor miscommunication led to a long wait time, and my second tattoo was not done, but I am beyond satisfied with the work and with my artist. I do recommend this shop because miscommunication happens, and at the end of the day, the time and effort put into the end result and the way I was treated with respect and kindness is what matters most to me. Ive gotten all my tattoos done by Leroy. Never had a problem. Tattoos look awesome, everything is clean, Leroy is a super nice guy, good conversation. Its just a great experience all around.

Searched all over the low country for a tattoo parlor and I found the perfect one in the heart of Summerville, SC. I was inked by Jennifer and she did an excellent job!!!! She kept me entertained, full of laughter, and she graced me with kindness. I was greeted with care from the manager (forgive me, I forgot her name) and although I was a little difficult, she dealt with me in a friendly, caring way. I definitely recommend this tattoo parlor to anyone who want to get inked. Thank you to the Mystic Tiki staff for a pleasurable experience.

Buck is AMAZING! I can not stress enough how impressed I am. It looks better than the picture I brought in and this was not an easy tattoo. In addition, all the staff were super kind, sweet and helpful. The place was clean and professional. From now on all my tattoos will only be done here!

Had a tattoo done in March (by Ashley) and I absolutely love it! The atmosphere was welcoming and everyone was great! I had heard all of the commercials and figured I would give it a shot. Being new to Charleston, I wasnt sure what to expect, but I am very happy with the results and would absolutely plan another in the future.

This shop puts out very clean and beautiful work. They not only care about their clients but also care about the craft of tattooing. So glad I went to Mystic Tiki for my first tattoo. For years, I had wanted one of a particular illustration from a favorite book of mine that was done in a line/cross-hatch style with a lot of shading. I kept putting it off because I didnt think someone could pull off a recreation, but Samantha did such an amazing job! Beyond what I had even hoped for! It was a 2 hour rib piece and she made sure I was comfortable, kept checking in and offered me breaks, water, and was just a lot of fun to talk to. She went out of her way to create two different stencils for the idea and suggested some highlights that took it to a new level. Pricing was exactly as she quoted during my initial visit. The place was cleaned to a T and very friendly. Go in, act like you have good sense, and get yourself an amazing tattoo from Sam!

Second Tattoo by Atlas in the books. Again, such a great experience. Have to admit, this was far from what I expected it to be like taking my 18 year old daughter for a tattoo. Completely comfortable and personal. Feel like weve known him for years. Great guy, great talent, great shop.

This place is great! Friendly staff, clean environment, and it was such a pleasure working with Scott! I made a consult appointment first; which I totally recommend. Sit down, talk it out, and kick some ideas around. Scott and I talked about what I was looking for, and he set to work bringing those to life. About a week later, I went in to have the work done, and it was a great experience. I will absolutely recommend Mystic Tiki to anyone I know, and I will definitely be back!

I am actually attempting to set up an appointment for my second tattoo here, and my first tattoo I also got here. I highly recommend this place. The artists are amazing and the people are so nice and helpful. The establishment itself, was so cool and clean too.

I inquired about two tattoos on dec 8 and it was emailed dec 9. The front desk manager (Bekah) was not wearing a mask and some type of aggression as if she had an attitude and got the artist that would be great for the tattoos I wanted. Dec 23 I did not recieve a email stating that we are backed up or we are really busy just a courtesy email stating that my tattoos are still a priority. Still on dec 23 I came in to ask for a refund during that time I was told my tattoo was so simple and that it done the night before.... meaning not really a priority but it was “my fault that I did not ask for a artist check” or whatever it’s called meaning that I would have gotten my sketch a week or 2 before my tattoo date which does not make sense for me not see what will be permanently on my body. I was also told that my refund will be in a check on the 26 due the holidays and the owner is getting gifts .... understandable I went on the 26 at 4:30ish PM and it was not ready and I was told it was going to take another hour for my check to be there... not a priority once again. Butttttt Jessie the other front desk that was there on the 26 was so professional when I came in and also greeted those that came in behind me . Jessie saved them for the moment but my advice to Jessie would be to find another tattoo place to work for because this is not a great studio on any professional stand point for me to seat in anyones seat at that shop

The staff is great, the shop is clean, and the artists are phenomenal. I have been seeing Ashley Henson, she did an amazing traditional quarter sleeve on my arm, and also fixed a tattoo on my ribs for me (She drew a sick traditionalized Frank from donnie darko on my inner arm). I am constantly getting compliments on her work. She is very friendly, fair, and great at what she does. I plan to continue seeing her in the future, and have already tossed around ideas for other pieces. I recommend the shop and her to anyone who is interested in getting some ink.

I worked with the artist Steve. The professionalism is unbelievable, the workmanship is great, and the atmosphere is comforting. No shakey lines or patchy shading with Steve. I am often pulled to the side in reference of my artist! If you get your tattoos here youre in safe hands.

I actually researched the place I wanted to go to in Charleston for about 4 months before deciding on Mystic Tiki Tattoo, and I definitely made the right choice.Jason Reed was my artist. Upon meeting Jason, he was so chill, professional and knowledgeable about his craft, that it put my mind to ease. I didnt walk in feeling nervous, but I was seeking security in the decision that I had made to go with Mystic Tiki.In the set up, I dealt primarily with Whitney. She was very helpful when I had to change my appointment. The day of my appointment, Sara was at front. Neither of them at the desk were particularly chatty/friendly, but they werent rude or standoffish, so thumbs up. Went there for a consult and asked all the questions I could think of, and Jason fully and clearly answered them all. Upon the day of my session, I did a lot of back and forth about placement and font etc etc..., and Jason was completely accommodating and patient.People walk in to tat shops usually have something very specific in mind, but I think its important to give artists a little leeway to help you craft your creation into something really unique and special. I mean, they are artists ya know? Not that mine was super creative and detailed, but it was unique to me, and he was very patient and helpful by offering his own professional input, therefore helping me get exactly what I wanted.We talked and laughed about current affairs and ish--completely took away from the searing going on in my arm lol. They have rave reviews across a variety of review platforms, and they are well deserved. It was a great experience overall, and if looking for a local artist, make the drive, the very long drive to to Mystic Tattoo in Summerville.PS. Tip your artists!

Tattoo was okay. A friend and I had the same one done together. The artist, who’s name I cannot remember forgot to fill in the middle line of an E on my piece but my friends was fully filled in. Less than three years later and my whole tattoo is bleeding, becoming blurred. I have tattoos that are 5-8 years older that are much more defined than this one. This artist must have used cheap ink but definitely did not charge cheaper prices. Beware of going here for your work as mine is degrading much more quickly than I could’ve imagined.

Jennifer did a great job on my tattoo. Ive been to many shops and this was definately at the top of my list. I really enjoyed sitting in the chair with Jennifer.. great conversation made for what seemed to be a quick job on my tattoo. Ill be back for sure!!!

I went in with my friend last minute from out of town for each of us to be worked on and we were treated so wonderfully. From the front door to goodbye the entire staff was amazing. My wife went here for her birthday tattoo to get a cover up of an old mickey mouse tattoo. Ashley Henson really went out of her way to make sure she provided excellent service with a tattoo my wife loves. My wife has plans to get more from Ashley and the shop is very clean and professional. Prices were very good, and service from everyone there was very nice and comfortable. Here it is 2 years later and I took my lastborn son in for his 18th birthday to get the best ink I know of he had a great experience and we love this place and staff family based . But with a trust you can trust your kid coming out looking awesome and he did. Amazing place to get a tattoo. I have gotten 4 tattoos here and many of my friends have as well. Ive never had a bad experience and would continue coming back. They are reasonable priced, clean and have great artists.

Heard them on the radio. Was 30 mins away each way so hour total. Called ahead to see if they had availability. They told me I had to come in to get a time estimate. I told her it was an hour round trip and she just repeated herself. I figured I heard them on the radio, they must be legit. But cant even give me some sort of time estimate? Let me know if you have any unbooked artist at all? Instead they want me to drive 30 minutes for you to say sorry we cant fit a 1 hour tattoo in today. Thanks.

I had a rib cage tattoo done at this shop. Unfortunately I dont remember who my artist was, I was a walkin at night and have a horrible memory. I have had one other rib tattoo and it was the single worst experience pain wise. At Mystic Tiki, this rib tattoo was a walk in the park. Very light handed, healed great as well. Will definitely be going back for more!!!!

I recommend going to Steve. He did a tattoo for me, and several people I know go to him. His work is great, he is very professional, and the shop is clean. I will definitely be going back for more tattoos. Also, they do not over charge, prices are very reasonable.

This shop is AMAZING Ive had 98% of my tattoos done here and would go back for any others, they are amazing artwork, Ive always used Jason Reed the owner but the rest of the staff is so friendly and welcoming, its a great clean place to get tattoo and from my experience great price for the work done!

Had tattoo done by atlas who had a last minute cancellation and fit me in...Great guy, great artist and I am very happy with my wrist tattoo (feminine bird and bible verse)... it took a few times to get exactly what I wanted sketched out and he was patient...he did an excellent job...

I hate the staff at front door an one of the artists...never met anyone so damn rude to me an my friend...wr walked out...yall didnt wanna tattoo us an enjoy our money...went to Artistics Tattoos down the road...was a blast! Super nice, super fun an best of all our tattoos turned out awesome!!!! Recently just got my half sleeve done by steve and he did an awesome job filling in my empty spaces with flames and skulls. the whole staff is friendly and down to earth. I recommend this place to anybody who wants an awesome tattoo.

Great work, but they rip you off. They tell you one price for a large design. Then you decide you want the same design but smaller, and they tell you its still the same price but then charge you $10 more than what they told you before and still expect a tip. Again, love the art work, but prices are way too high!

I found Mystic Tiki tattoo from an MUSC employee. Her tat was a work in progress. I got a card and a name from her. Went and visited with LeRoy. I had my daughters check out the work, before I committed to such a large tat. I was VERY happy with everyone at the shop. LeRoy put a Grizzly Bears face and boxing gloves on my thigh. It is wonderful. I will only be going back to this Studio. You can not go wrong at Mystick Tiki.

I went in and met with Brandon, who gave me the most beautiful tattoo I have ever seen. He convinced me to go with color when I originally wanted black and white and it turned out more beautiful than I could have ever hoped for.

Mrs. Parks is an amazing artist. Im very pleased with my tattoo. Shes very professional and very personable. I hope I can find more space so she can tattoo me again.

Me and fiance were in the shop last night, and the experience was amazing, the receptionist helped to explain all the details and to make sure we understood all the rules and how the process would go, and our artist (Jason C. Reed) was phenomenal, he explained the process he would go through to do the tattoos, made sure we were comfortable the feel as this was the first time for both of us, and explained in fine details the proper way to care for the tattoos, it was an all around great time
