Stopped in to have a nostril piercing changed out. I had never been to this shop before, but had been following on Instragram so I decided to check it out.Its located in a really cute area, and parking was easy to find.The shop was clean and bright, and they have a really nice selection of jewelry. The prices were reasonable. The person who assisted me was lovely. She never seemed to run out of patience for my questions about pricing on the pieces I was looking at, and was very kind. She was adept at replacing my jewelry.I would absolutely recommend this shop for quality, pricing, jewelry options, and kindness!

Dude was gentle putting it in although I told him it wasn’t my first time… Jokes aside this was my third time getting the same lip piercing and it didn’t swell as much as any other time and healed much faster than other places. Not sure if it was technique or because it’s been pierced but I’m very happy with it. I need to go get a shorter bar.1st pic was like 5 minutes after - 2nd is a month later

I had the most amazing 1st time experience here with my artist, Eric. He was so very knowledgeable, welcoming, and answered my questions. He was very thorough through the whole time I was there. I brought the idea to him and just trusted him with what I wanted. He blew my idea out of the water and made my birth flowers so very pretty and feminine. Wasn’t hard handed at all especially on my shin on my leg. The environment was clean and comfortable to be in. I look forward to give this place more of my business in the future!

I will recommend Angelica to everyone I know without hesitation! She is absolutely lovely, calming, patient, talented, and so gentle. She is an amazing artist and really listens! She takes pride in her work and is so sincere when it comes to loving what she does. This one is the first of many for me. I think it’s beautiful! I had 2 piercings done and went back to switch the jewelry out as well. The staff is very friendly, knowledgeable, helpful and patient. The vibe is very chill and laid back. I highly recommend. I was very comfortable here and will be returning.

Ive worked with multiple artists at this shop and all of them do amazing work. Angelica tattooed me for the first time going to the shop and was so amazing to work with and brought my idea to life. Since then Eric has put more tattoos on me than i can count and helped me expand upon my collection I will continue to come back and add more until im out of space. As for Shawna Ive never met a more caring and thorough piercer, she works with kindness and respect and I felt so comfortable being in her chair. Ive witnessed just about every artisit at this shop put out amazing and unique work and will always suggest them to everyone

Ive been here twice this past year; once for my second lobes piercings which were done by Shawna [shes amazing, definitely will come back for more piercings] and most recently for a tattoo for my little brothers 18th birthday. I got my tattoo done by Jake who was awesome through the whole process and even took the time to have an awesome conversation with me about something Im super invested in. I genuinely adore the vibes of this place and all the staff Ive ever spoken to has been nothing but awesome and supportive! Im also incredibly thankful for the name and pronouns section in their forms; it makes me and other LGBT people feel very safe and included and I very much appreciate that.I will absolutely be coming back be it for my next piercings or tattoos! Took my granddaughter to Broken clover for a nose piercing. Shawna was amazing!She took her time and was very informative about the procedure and aftercare. Most definitely recommend this business.

Shawna was my artist and im so impressed with her work! She worked with me on my design, customized it a few times to get the details right (very patient by the way), resized it about 6 times (did i mention patient?), and made sure i was happy with the stencil. Her line work is excellent and that is what I was specifically looking for - excellent line work! I would 100% go back to her.

I highly recommend Shawna for tattoos and piercings. She has done multiple tattoos for me and Medusa and septum piercings. I like her calm personality and she is super professional. I get really scared for piercings and her professionalism takes all of that away. She also has unique jewelry and is very talented at tattooing. I never thought I would find another artist in Tucson that would live up to the one I had move away until I met Eddy. I had 2 people tell me about his work so when I finally took the chance I was so excited. His color work is flawless! Each time I have a kid graduate high school, I let them pick out matching tattoos for the tap of us. Today was my youngest sons turn. Kayden took my sons request and added personal touches to it, making them truly unique. He is also working on a Tim Burton themed leg sleeve for my daughter. (He’s as excited about it as she is!). Kayden is and will forever be the only artist I will go to for all my ink Thearpy.

The atmosphere is very comfortable and everyone there is super friendly. When I walked in I was immediately greeted, and my tattoo artist Kayden was great. He was very personable and I loved his creativity and attention to detail. He also gave me a great deal on the tattoo, and genuinely just wanted me to have an awesome tattoo. The owners Shawna and Jinx were also amazing! Ive been interested in getting into the piercing world, and they went out of their way to help me get information and recommendations. There were others in the shop that were very nice, but I didnt catch their names. All in all, I will be going back!

I got my septum pierced by Shawna and it was the BEST piercing experience I have ever had. I have had negative experiences in the past and was very anxious to get another piercing, but my anxiety immediately dissipated once I saw how easygoing and professional she was. I took comfort in the care she took to ensure the piercing area was cleaned, straight, and in the best location. It barely even hurt! She was so gentle putting in the jewelry and I will certainly be back for more. She also is so kind and said to contact her if I had any issues. I cannot recommend her enough for piercings!

Wish I could give 10⭐️. I had a tattoo done by Eric on my arm above my elbow. He was absolutely amazing with customer service from the moment I contacted him via text and meeting him in person for the first time in the shop. He immediately made me feel welcomed and happily worked with me to ensure the tattoo was perfectly what I wanted with things like size, placement and design. I had my own design I had drawn up but his art is incredible. His pricing is also very reasonable, charging by the piece instead of by the hour. That’s another great thing about Eric he’s quick efficient and precise making the experience fun and enjoyable with less pain involved. The environment is also 100% steril and clean with everything done properly which I really admired for that was an important factor for me. Will 100% be getting any future tattoos done by Eric at broken clover and recommending it to anyone who ask for a spot to get tattooed in Tucson!

This is my second tattoo with Eric, hes kept it very professional and takes good care of his clients. He always does great work and I haven’t needed a touch up for any of my tattoos. Broken Clover Tattoo shop in Tucson Arizona is a great place to get a tattoo, especially if youre into great color work, good clean lines and sacred geometry tattoos. Raquel specializes in Sacred geometry and did a piece for me. Madeline apprenticed under Raquel and she has been kickin butt ever since she started. Madeline did my wrist braclette tattoo. All in all if you want a great tattoo in tucson at a good price from extremely talented tattoo artists then go to Broken Broken Clover off 9th in the downtown/university area, you wont regret it.

The overall environment is awesome, the workers are so nice. The whole process is profession but relaxed in a way where youre not nervous or feel awkward. 100% would recommend and will definitely be returning for any future tattoos or piercings!

Jinx is the best. Did a memorial tattoo for 8 of my friends that I lost to Suicides. He took an idea and made it come to life. Can’t thank him enough… will be the only artist I’ll ever use again.

I loved the environment everyone was great. Sadly my tattoos lines are a bit shaky or thicker on some sides than others. And I have another that seems to be blown out. Very upsetting. I feel that the price was high considering the outcome. I dont want to use my main account to write this as Ive seen many people get talked to very rudely. I saw many people had good experiences so I had high expectations. Maybe that was my fault. Though Im not happy with my tattoo the artists are very friendly but maybe they just need more experience. I would love to have it fixed but I do not live in Tucson just visiting.

I went to see Shawna for a naval piercing on Mothers day. The shop was really cool and clean. Although this had been my third time getting my naval pierced Shawna was Amazing! Her gentle and relaxed composure made me feel at ease. The first and second piercing really hurt but the one Shawna did for me didnt hurt at all! I would recommend Shawna because of her gentleness , wisdom and kind /peaceful nature. She really knows what shes doing, Thank you Shawna!!!

Eric is always spot on when it comes to creating tattoo ideas and is very detail oriented. His lines are Supreme! I wouldnt go anywhere else! Cant wait for another one! See you in a few months! Walked in today with no appointment and a small idea. Eric was absolutely incredible. Customer service was a 10/10. They way I saw him greet everyone who walked into the shop was with kindness and respect. Very approachable, knowledgeable, kind and professional. I’m very much not the type of person to write reviews but little did he know how much that experience meant to us. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. If you’re debating coming here I couldn’t recommend Eric more.

Love the place ! Not only does the place inside look really cool, but my Artist Rain was wonderful. She made me feel really comfortable and was non judgmental about what I wanted. I’ve had tattoos done before in Oregon and not so many here in Tucson. I’ll definitely be coming back for more. I will post pictures once I heal up, but I’m impressed so far :).

I’ve had a few experiences at Broken Clover, but the most recent being with Shawna to work on an idea for a tattoo. (I did do a lot of research and reached out to other businesses). I’m glad I continued with Broken Clover. Shawna is an amazing artist! Her line work is stellar, she knows how to make colors pop, and she’s also super kind and a really chill person. I appreciate the environment the business provides, and they were super accommodating for when I needed something out of the ordinary. I’ll be keeping my experiences with them.

ERIC RODRIGUEZEric did my first ever tattoo on Sunday 6/5/22 and he was very sweet and understanding of all my nerves and questions. I told him vaguely what I wanted it to say and he was very encouraging and helped me figure out how it would look after stylizing it beyond the basic idea that I had.He was very confident without being arrogant. He was humble and didn’t mind talking about how he got into the field and other things which took my mind off of how worked up I was getting to start. Even though he has a lot of experience, he didn’t relay that in a braggy way, he just kind of mentioned that in passing. For someone getting their first tattoo, it was really important for me to feel comfortable with him and his abilities and I definitely did feel at ease because of the way he presents himself and the way the shop is run.I highly recommend him to anyone as he was so careful and professional and just an overall wonderful human being!! After we had finished up, I explained to him the meaning behind the tattoo and he seemed genuinely interested and expressed his appreciation for sharing in this memory. This man is a true artist and is very passionate about his work. I will most definitely be going back to see him again. Thank you so much Eric!!! You are the best!!! ❤️

Came for the 13 dollar tattoos came out with a 31 dollar one instead! This was my first tattoo and Kayden did a great job had a lot of fun and felt very comfortable with the whole experience! I definitely recommend this place will definitely be coming back for more :)

Gives you great advice if you have any questions about placement or adding on, he is a perfectionist and very passionate about his work. I’ve gotten two tattoos done here. Danae did my first–a little tooth on my sternum– in 2018. I remember how nerve wracking it was, but she was amazing about it, and was very light handed. She taught me about tattooing cleanliness, and when I go to an artist again, what to look out for in terms of sterilization. She set the bar incredibly high for someone who had no tattoos at all but wanted them.Johnny Jinx is finishing a tattoo for me and had done a portrait on my thigh this year. I found the experience to be incredibly professional and he made me feel right at home just as Danae did, though I expected nothing less. He has been super helpful at answering all of my tattooing questions. When I walk through the doors of Broken Clover, everyone of the artists greets me and is so kind and helpful. I recommend this place to everyone I meet who’s looking for a spectrum of different kinds of art styles to choose from and amazing service.

I decided to make the trip down from Tempe and was lucky to have him help me himself!I really wanted to get a mom and baby hummingbird to represent my son and myself, and he took great care of us! The whole experience was awesome, and I absolutely cant wait to come back again for my next one!

I went to broken clover on a whim and I met with Bradley Scott and got a semi colon tattoo he was super light and soft to the touch. I left happy my tattoo is a perfect addition to my other tattoo. I plan on coming back for another peice. Was not disappointed even took me in early before a rush happened as it was on Friday the thirteenth. Super nice.

Great experience! It was my 1st time getting a tattoo and Kayden rocked it! From the moment I walked in for an impromptu tattoo I was greeted with smiles, respect, and friendliness. The throne like chairs in the entrance caught my eye immediately and were an introduction to decor that was quirky, yet delicate. Even with how busy they seemed they took me as walk in quickly. Johnny Jinx was the artist who I was lucky enough to get, and I am so incredibly glad I did.I had very little direction for him, it had been a rough day and I had not thought it through. I pointed at a spot on my arm and my ideas didnt go much further. He took the challenge with no hesitation was his end result was better than I could have hoped!Not only was his design that tattoo I never know I always wanted, but the experience was enjoyable as well. Good music, good conversation, painless tattoo. Not to mention the adorable looks he gave to his wife as she worked near bye. Overall a great experience and will definitely return!!!!!

The artists are amazing here! I searched through about 5 different shops on line before finding Broken Clover. Im really glad I did some research! I needed a tattoo fixed and they were kind enough to let me get another completed afterwards even though I didnt have an appointment. Amazing work! I highly recommend Jinx and Deno - theyre both awesome! Before and after photos included. I couldnt include my words completed by Deno as theyre in random places, but they look amazing and Im very happy! Thank you both for your patience and kindness!

Got my first tattoo a couple weeks ago from Danae. Im terrified of needles, and was wary about my first tat and wanted it to be great as it was a meaningful memorial. I brought a friend, and was pleasantly surprised to catch quiet period and a very charming studio. Danae was very friendly and understanding, and I felt really comfortable even after a few minutes of hanging out while she prepped. Any pain I felt during the tattoo was probably due to it being my first, but I didnt even tear up, shes got a really steady and careful hand. Its healing beautifully so far, and the end result is even more lovely. I will definitely be back soon to get some more pieces from her, and am very thankful for a great experience.

Awesome experience, awesome shop, and awesome artists! Got ahold of Ronnie to talk about getting some walk-in tattoos, and he got back very quickly and in a professional manner. Got us set up with a time, we left a deposit, and he did an AWESOME tattoo. He was super personable, open, and just an all around rad dude and a TRULY dedicated artist who shows he really cares about giving his clients a great tattoo. We got to hang out at the shop and chill with some of the other artists and the owner who were all really rad people. Im definitely coming back here whenever Im back in town!

Went in with my gf to get tattoos, cool at first but the whole crew were sitting down ignoring us, and no one wanted to tattoo us because we were picking from the 13$ book. bad vibes, bad jokes towards us, etc. the guy did my gf tattoo good, thin and not deep. i don’t know what the big biker tattoo guy had against me but he did it so deep and thick my tattoo looks like he branded me. wish we could have receive the 4.9 star you some how got and not shi**y attitudes. shouldn’t have trust the rating, all stuck up.

My artist was Jinx and he was super professional and clean. It was my first tattoo and he did a great job of keeping me comfortable and checking in with me. He is an awesome artist and the tattoo came out looking amazing. It was a decent sized and detailed tattoo and I was impressed with how quick he completed it without compromising any of its quality.

Eddy did such a great job on my tattoo! His work is so spot on what you ask for and he has great attention to detail. He’s super friendly and his rates are so affordable considering how precise he is. My whole experience was 10/10 from the moment I walked in to the moment I saw my tattoo in the mirror. I have been working with Johnny Jinx for the past month. We are working on a full sleeve which is about 2/3 completed. It has been the best artist/client experience I have ever had. He listens to feedback and doesnt treat it as an insult. His communication is top notch, and he never lets a message go unanswered. Been meaning to write this review for a long long time. Last time I came into the shop was nearly 2 years and unfortunately I’ve been too busy to come back in since then. But let me tell you this is the best shop I have ever been to. A few years ago I was looking around various shops to get my first tattoo and I happened across this one and met Eddie. Eddie was super helpful and informative and his talent spoke for itself. A couple weeks later I scheduled an appointment with him. I settled on a Celtic style half sleeve and though Eddie admitted the design I had chosen was challenging, he completely nailed it and in my opinion, did better than the design I had presented him with. He even free-handed some parts of my half sleeve but you can’t even tell. Its been 2 years since I stepped foot in this place and still it’s stuck with me. I will be returning in a couple months to hopefully work with Eddie again. Y’all are damn impressive.

I have never had a better tattoo experience than with Jinx at Broken Clover Tattoo. He is professional, enthusiastic, and incredibly talented! His shop is very clean and comfortable to hang out in. I have over 100 hours of tattooing on my body and my favorite 7.5 hours were with Jinx. I eagerly am devoting my whole left arm to his artistic talent! Obviously I highly recommend him.

Broken Clover is a great tattoo shop!! It is immaculately clean and the staff is very professional and friendly. Disposable supplies are used for everything that matters so it eliminates many concerns regarding sterilization. There is some amazing color work coming out of this shop. Even the apprentice does spectacular work given the length of time she has been tattooing. Evidence of the staffs artistic talent even shows in the artwork they have done which adorns the walls of the shop. The prices are fair for the high quality of work being done here. The staff always has time to answer questions and they take an active interest in each others work. You can tell that the staff and owner of this shop do what they do simply because they love the art of tattooing. I have over 30 tattoos and I only recommend about 3 tattoo shops here in Tucson, I can say that Broken Clover is one of them. Stop by this shop if you are looking for an artist, you will not be disappointed!

Johnny Jinx did a great job on my tattoo! He even knocked down the price a little bit afterwards because I sat so still. He was quick and efficient and was able to squeeze me in at the end of his shift. The staff was all really friendly and made me feel very comfortable from when I first walked in the door. If youre looking to get a tattoo in Tucson, Broken Clover is without a doubt where you wanna go! All you really need to know is that the shop is great (although a little hard to find), Jinx is AMAZING, and Im recommending him to anyone who will listen! (But read further if you want the details.)About three weeks ago, I was looking to get my first ever tattoo- simple lettering done in white ink on the inside of my wrist. Id done my research, and was checking out a few well-reviewed shops around Tucson, starting with Broken Clover. Jinx greeted me as I walked in, and his calm demeanor and confidence immediately put me at ease. He answered my questions fully, made sure that I understood what I was getting into, and eased my apprehensions. I then went to check out the other shops, but there was no need- Jinxs is the best! (One of the other shops treated me quite rudely, and actually said, Good luck getting someone to do [a white ink tattoo] for you!) When the appointment came, Jinx took the time to get the lettering just how I wanted it, changing it as needed without complaint, and, once it was all set up, did the inking swiftly and perfectly. Over the next few days, he answered my many questions and eased any concerns that arose, always responding to my texts (the format he prefers) as soon as he could. I couldnt be happier with his work, and I love the result! And, Ive already gone back for a second tattoo from him (again done perfectly)!

A friend and I came here to get our first tattoos done. We contacted Ben Ervin, who was referred to us by another friend, through Bens cell and gave Ben our references and ideas. We were on a tight schedule since my friend was about to leave back home but Ben was able to get our sketches done and get us tattooed quickly. They came out amazing! And are healing very well. Ben went over aftercare and suggest affordable and easy products to use. We especially appreciated that he got us done so fast considering he had just got back from vacation.The shop is clean and well kept. Everyone was friendly and Ben made getting our tattoos easy! What can I say about Broken Clover Tattoo? This place is amazing. The shop is super clean. Love the art around the shop. All the guys are super professional. Jinx is the man. I got a sleeve of roses done by Johnny Jinx. The entire staff was very friendly, and it was a very pleasant experience despite the fact that I was in the chair for 8 hours. Jinx took his time on my tattoo and did not rush through it, which I am super grateful for. The roses turned out beautiful, and I have another session to add more leaves in a few weeks. I have already recommended him to many of my friends who have complimented his work. Hes a great artist to work with, and made great company. He also gave me plenty of breaks whenever I needed. I cant wait for my next session to finish the piece, and Ill definitely have him do any future tattoos I get! :D

JINX is the best artist I have ever worked with. Very passionate for sure! I have had a lot ink done and this dude is amazing. Staff is very friendly, very clean establishment and JINX keeps things fun. I live in BALTIMORE and I am paying a hefty price for a ticket just to get more work done. He does it right. Ive gone to a couple different tattoo artists over the years, and Ive had to get a cover up on a couple. Eddie definitely is who Id recommend. He did my cover ups, and I followed him from one tattoo shop to Broken clover tattoo currently. I love his work and will continue to go to him in the future. If you want a high quality, saturated, clean tattoo then go see Eddy. He did a cover up and another tattoo and it hasnt even really faded since I got it. Hes really light handed too. Plus hes friendly and personable and easy to talk to. I definitely will be going back to him for every tattoo I can. I cant recommend him enough. Hes probably one of the best in Tucson. Had an appointment with Jinx for a llama tattoo. Tattoo came out great. Friends keep checking it to see if it was real because the colors were so vibrant. His set up was very sanitary, everything was covered and he had to get new gloves every time he had to do something. The atmosphere in the shop was chill, easy to relax and enjoy the tattooing. Already recommend this place to several friends.

So found this shop online. I just moved here from California, so my old artist isnt accessible. I came in on a whim and was greeted by Austin. He was very polite, and informed me they normal only go by appointments. He said he was doing a job and if he had time after that he would give me a call. I thought to myself yea ok Im so sure. Low and behold he did a few hours later. I come in and is greeted by him and others. He starts his work checking in with me to make sure Im comfortable throughout. Then a person who I assume is the owner a guy named jinx comes by and is looking at the work and compliments him on the design of my tattoo. Which Austin tells him it wasnt his it was my own drawing and design. Jinx comes over to me and compliments my art. As Im laying there Jinx has such a positive and encouraging interactions with all his employees and clients. I was shocked. After we finished my tattoo looks fantastic. The exact skin and ink replica of my pen and paper one. I talk with Jinx for a bit and he was just a pleasure to talk to. The shop is fantastic. Went in the afternoon before a big trip home to get a pretty rough upper arm piece covered. Austin not only worked quickly to come up with a good coverup, but he made sure it was in a style I wanted and that the size and color palette met my needs. The piece I ended up with was more beautiful than I could’ve ever hoped for. I love my poppies and it was more affordable than I expected too. Everyone in the shop is friendly and welcoming. I finally decided to get my first tattoo after putting it off for about 4 years and I don’t regret finally putting my fears aside. I came to Austin with a large roses and beads design to go on my right side. The next day I came in and he had the drawing all ready and set to go. He estimated it’d take about 4 hours and actually took 3 1/2 hours. I have had no issues with my tattoo after getting it done on 12/28/17 and it is 1/8/18 today. The peeling only took about 3 days and I feel absolutely no bumps and it feels and looks very soft. I definitely recommend Austin to anyone! He is an amazing artist. I keep getting so many compliments!

I went in with my wife because she was interested in some work that she saw on Instagram. The shop looked great and everyone was friendly. While she was chatting with an artist, I showed Molly some ideas I was thinking about, and she was able to help me piece it together very well.She was quick to get me scheduled and in for my appointment, and did a great job! We didnt finish up completely, so she agreed to finish the last bit of wording and my touch up for free, since I paid full price at the time of my first appointment.I had emailed her a few weeks later after my tattoo healed to schedule the follow up. She agreed to me coming in Tuesday evening. Tuesday afternoon I got an email saying she meant to schedule me for Wednesday and not Tuesday, even though we clearly agreed to Tuesday. This did not work for me, due to work conflictions. So, we agreed to another appointment on a Saturday afternoon a week later. I drive there, and decide to check my email before I walk in, to which I see an email from Molly saying she was sick and needed to reschedule for the next day. I dont live close to this shop at all, so its tough to make time to drive out to the shop. So, I just said no thank you to the reschedule.I know things happen, people get sick, but to me, it seemed like this appointment wasnt as important as the first, since this appointment was going to be free, but when I was paying full price for the first session, she was very accommodating to get me in. That left me kind of disappointed.Overall it is a very good shop with talented artists, but I was personally left a little unsatisfied after my last interaction.

My first-ever tattoo experience was completely great. The tattoo is totally sharp, bright and perfect, and Amys price for the job was way beyond reasonable given the long hours she spent on it. I was referred to Amy Jiao by another happy, well-decorated client and Im so glad to have found her. I came in with my own design and explained in detail how I wanted just this exact size and mathematical ratio- showing right away that I tend to be be a fussy customer. Amy was totally courteous and easygoing, and stayed faithful to all the important elements of the picture that I had described. When it came to aesthetic choices that I had left a little vague (color shading, curves, line thickness) Amy did a beautiful job of translating my sketch into a refined work of art- she has a great sense of proportion and composition, and superb attention to detail. She works carefully and patiently and can keep up a pleasantly diverting conversation while always maintaining calm concentration on her work. I felt completely comfortable and confident in her skills every step of the way.Ive passed by some tattoo shops with lots of flash on the walls, looking like the kind of places that sell T-shirts on the boardwalk; Broken Clover displays quality artwork that shows pride in workmanship, and makes sitting for a tattoo more like a gallery experience. The room is a professional working studio, with a huge storefront window for lots of natural light, and plenty of clean, clear working space.Even though my design was relatively simple, and wouldnt have fully challenged the abilities of any of the artists there, I didnt feel like my project was any less important than their own spectacular creations. Everyone there seemed to appreciate and enjoy seeing my idea come to life. I had a great first tattoo experience at Broken Clover, and I wouldnt hesitate to go back to Amy to collaborate on another piece or to start collecting some of her own beautiful images.

I am in the process of having a large (well large to me) back piece done by Jinx. After we talked about what I wanted and size, I went with his suggestions, and SO GLAD I did! The work is just in outline right now and I am already getting lots of compliments, and that it looks amazing as it is now. He is easy to work with and will tell you what works and what doesnt work for a tattoo. He is one hell of an artist and knows his craft well. I will also point out that he free hand drew the work on my back so it flows with my natural lines. I am a very happy customer and can’t wait to get the color in. I will update this review when it’s done.As far as the shop itself goes … the atmosphere is very relaxing, everyone is super friendly and eager to talk to you. For me during the work I just wanted to tune out to my music and they were very cool with that. It’s a very professional shop. I have been going to Jinx for all of my tattoos and in seeing him for my most recent tattoo, the tattoo was just as great as the last. If you give him some flexibility on what your wanting to get, you’ll appreciate his artistic spin on it. The shop has other solid artists and a laid back vibe but they keep it professional and 100. I got my very first tattoo from Ben Ervin in May. He is such a talented artist and fun guy to be around. He rocks black work. It is dark, bold, and the lines are super clean. I have had a few people even ask me if it is real (they thought it was black ink on the surface of my skin). This tattoo will be readable until the day I die.The coolest part was that as we talked during the session, I think he came to realize the symbolism better and got to know me and my wife better, the tattoo morphed subtly. For example the servals face became more feminine than the original stencil because it is my wifes favorite animal and symbolizes her. I am not even sure if he did that on purpose but it is awesome. Mark of a great artist.He now has two long term clients (wife wants one now). I would recommend Broken Clover and specifically Ben to anyone who wants one-of-a-kind tattoos.

Came in for the first time a few days ago for a tattoo. Everyone was more than nice, professional, and clean, which deserves at least a couple stars. Unfortunately, the apprentice who did my tattoo had botched lines. It was pretty unsettling to watch curvy lines being drawn on my body where they should’ve been straight. They were nice enough to give it to me for free, and I understand she was an apprentice and I didn’t make an appointment, but I feel like a certain standard of work should be expected from anyone tattooing. Three days later, I finally took off the adhesive and I’m bruised, which is a little concerning considering I never bruise, and I was still actively bleeding, which is very concerning. The lines are pretty weak and will definitely be needing a touch up. Obviously other people have great experiences here, so I would advise to just do some research into the artists and make an appointment with someone specific.

I had wanted a tattoo for many years but always had trouble settling down on an artist whose style I loved. Luckily for me, while browsing instagram I came across Ben Ervin (@ben_ervin_tattoos). It seemed like no matter what I scrolled through of his work, I absolutely loved it all! The imagery he uses and his ideas are amazing. Since Im very inexperienced in the tattoo department, I was worried about asking silly questions or doing something wrong. However, Ben was more than kind and patient throughout our entire collaboration and made me feel so comfortable and at ease. During the procedure he made sure I was doing well and would ask if I needed breaks and was always very reassuring. I never felt unaware of what was happening which was very comforting. Hes super awesome and super cool and that made getting tattooed by him even better because even though the process hurts, when you start to chit chat about life you forget about the pain. I just told Ben about different kinds of imagery I liked based off of his previous work (skulls, desert cacti/flora) and he created this amazing original piece for my upper arm that I am incredibly proud to call my first tattoo. When it was all said and done, he explained in detail aftercare procedures and how to take care of it once I got home. I am excited to make more appointments in the future and get more work done (after getting just one you want to walk right back in and get another). I cannot thank Ben enough for such a great experience and I highly recommend this shop. It has such a great atmosphere with a staff that seems so passionate about what they do. This shop is truly more of an artist studio. A complete and refreshing departure from the normal tattoo shop. The artists can often be seen sketching and tracing which lends to the studio vibe. No quick flash all over the place, definitely more original artwork. Johnny has done some work for me as well as my boyfriend and we both love what he has done. You should stop in and see for yourself.

I travel for my job and have gotten tattooed at places all over the US. This shop was clean, the people were friendly, the prices were fair. What made this place stand out however, was after I started getting the tattoo. I had to squeeze in a six hour session on a Sunday night with only two days notice because I was leaving Tucson the next day. Not only did Johnny get me in before I had to leave, but him and his employees/friends were all very talkative. I often get bored once I start getting tattooed, so I usually just zone out. They talked to me the whole time here, which made the tattoo fly by. It should also be noted that due to the short notice, he completely free-handed the tattoo and it turned out amazing. Very impressed, and I will likely be returning to Tucson just to get tattooed here again!

I would never recommend another tattoo shop in Tucson for crap after finding Broken Clover. The shop is very welcoming when you walk thru the doors- it feels like youre walking into a new group of friends rather than a tattoo shop.This place runs in a way that allows for a more personable experience- unlike most other tattoo shops. The artists are all really chill, helpful and open to thoughts/change- they understand its YOUR body not THEIRS. Their work always comes out beautiful and crisp, never have I seen bad work come from there. Nor will I! I had seen some work by Jinx and I was impressed. I drove a couple hours to get my work done by this man. It was more than worth it. Gabe Alvarez, another of Broken Clovers main artists, is also proficient in almost any style that you desire and can get you in and out relatively quickly, generally chuckling as you leave. Ben is so unique! He is an amazing artist and that translates so clearly into all of his tattoos. The memorial tattoo he did for me was amazing and helped me a lot. The Broken Clover team are all insane quality.

I found Broken Clover online. Their website with, best kept tattooing secret in Tucson sounded intriguing. Austin did an incredible job combining two ideas I had for hummingbirds flying around a filigreed vine. My wife and son came in later in the week to get matching cactus tattoos. It was my sons first tattoo. Austin shared personal anecdotes and made my son feel completely at ease. We will continue going to Broken Clover for all our tattooing needs.

Nice spot - The artist I booked works here. Everybody should find an artisit and book direct, not just walk in to any shop. So, for my experience, this place was solid. I initially went to Broken Clover Tattoo because a friend of mine referred me there. She has several tattoos and they are all done beautifully and I was looking for a GOOD shop to go to for a very personal tattoo. I have other tattoos and lets just say the quality is not there. My father passed away unexpectedly and I wanted to get his portrait. Enter Jinx, he is simply AMAZING!!!! Very professional, polite, and help put me at ease with the personal aspect of my tattoo! The likeness of that tattoo to my father was uncanny. Its almost like looking into his face!! All of the artists I have met there are friendly and have so much talent. Gabe was doing Aries on someones arm at the same time. It turned out gorgeous! Needless to say, I have already went back to get another tattoo. This time a tribute to my Mama.. Jinx did it again.. Went above and beyond my expectations. I have told him that he has spoiled me and I do not think I will allow myself to be tattooed by anyone else. Got my biggest piece done here by Johnny Jinx and I loved them. Went in to get them touched up too and was extremely happy with the amount of detail and time that was put into them again. The staff is a super friendly and made my session easy. Would definitely recommend going here for any type of piece needed to be done.

WOW I can NOT say enough nice things about Madeline and this shop. In short, this was the least painful, least stressful, most hygienic, most reasonably-priced tattoo Ive ever gotten. Pro tip, try to call and make an appointment to guarantee that you can get in :) All of the artists are in high demand!First, I walked in on a Thursday evening at 6ish without calling initially hoping to get an appointment with Raquel. Her evening was booked, and I couldnt come later because I was leaving town the next day. Thankfully, Madeline was accepting walk-ins and I knew I liked the style of most people who worked in the shop. I am not a creative person, but I knew generally that I wanted an ocotillo. Madeline asked for more specific questions about what I wanted/didnt want, explained a concept, then let me know it would take her about an hour to do the drawing. She directed me to downtown (thank you for that!) and I grabbed a snack while I waited.She showed me the BEAUTIFUL piece she had whipped up, then went to get her parts for the tattoo. Once her area was laid out, she showed me all of the unopened needles and parts to verbally clarify that they were clean/new. I swear I watched every employee in that shop sanitize each surface 4 times with a different set of gloves each time before starting anything. It was great.Shes SO nice and super easy-going, and a really interesting person!! I wanna say it was like... 2 or 3 hours? Not long, but not short. Being able to keep a conversation makes the time pass by and makes it easier to not focus on the needle stabbing your skin! Moreover, I would go so far as to say the tattoo didnt hurt. In the past when Ive gotten tattoos (2 different artists), my palms get really sweaty, sometimes I shake, and Im usually sore afterwards. My tattoos have also always wept a lot, but Madelines work? No shaking, sweating, soreness because she has a light hand as she explained to me. My saniderm wrapping had a single clear bubble of weepage the size of a pea. Usually my wrap would completely fill up across the whole tattoo and create a bulge for a full day.Finally, throughout the process Madelines really friendly personality encouraged me to ask questions I had always had but never asked anyone in an effort to respect tattoo artists. Questions like how does the tattoo machine work? How much of a pain in the neck is it to make a new stencil if I ask for a change in design? Why does your tattoo hurt less than my previous tattoos? What do you recommend healing tattoos with? She also gave me REALLY in-depth after-care information that I had never heard before, like keep animals away from your tattoo (makes sense but no one ever told me directly). If youre especially scared/worried about your first tattoo because of the process, seriously reach out to Madeline. Shes great. Amazing. Outstanding. This whole shop is A++. Ill have to come back from San Antonio because this shop is worth travelling for.

I had my first tattoo experience just last week at Broken Clover with Sequoya and now I cant walk past my reflection without wanting to pull my shirt up and look at it. I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a tattoo artist. Prior to the appointment I had sent her 2 different pictures of a griffin, a quote, and 10 different fonts so that she had an idea about what I was looking for. I was really nervous and was starting to have second thoughts until she showed me the sketch she had made, then I knew I had to get it. Not only was it really well drawn and encompassed elements from everything I sent her, but you could also tell that she dedicated a lot of time paying attention to small details like lining up all the As in the quote and creating a symmetrical shape to the griffin and lettering. She even did her own research on the quote, which is in a foreign and almost dead language. Sequoya is definitely the person you want to talk to if you want someone with creativity and dedication doing your tattoo.

I absolutely loved the atmosphere at this tattoo shop and Eric was the absolute best!! He was very patient in helping me and my aunt with figuring out how to bring our tattoos to life and MAAANNN let me tell you I will definitely be going back.

Went with my SO, who was getting more work done, and was really impressed by the professionalism of the people working. They manage to be both laid back and funny but are always making sure their clients are taken care of and that breaks are taken, will bring you water, and make sure your overall experience goes well.

Got a beautiful piece done yesterday by Dave Bell. I came in with a simple line work of a saguaro cactus with an owl perched on it (looked more like a barrel since the previous artist did a horrible job) and he hooked it up by fixing the owl and adding a sick background. Wonderful black and grey work and he didnt overprice. Got it done pretty quickly too. Definitely recommend coming to this guy, I may have to come back for him to do another piece someday.

Broken Clover Tattoo is by far hands down the best tattoo shop in Arizona let alone the West Coast. They are friendly have great music and thats just the atmosphere. They do exsactly what you ask but better and are patient with everyone. There pricing is 2nd to none and they know how to keep people coming back. The Shop is clean neat and sterile and they keep professionalism at its peak.

He even wouldve comped our tattoos! But... Im not going to drive half the state hoping an over priced tattoo would magically be less. The bright side, Danae, who was to tattoo my girlfriend is Gabes roommate and could get in touch with him, like a middle-man. They both had openings for this coming up Wednesday, we booked it. My girlfriend and I live four hours away, Danae gave my girlfriend a detailed list of prices, ideas and was incredibly helpful towards me when Gabe dropped the ball. I still have no idea on prices he wouldve charged me because of his unwillingness to communicate with a new customer. I cant speak for the others who work there, but our business will be taken to another shop. Danae, Im sorry that you will lose out on good business that would most definitely be returning, but one bad apple ruined the batch.For customers reading, go somewhere else that truly cares.

Amazing work by Jinx, I still do not know how he got so much detail in my tattoo, this was my first tattoo and like most people I was hesitant to get a tattoo knowing it would be on me for life and if it was not done correctly I would be stuck with a bad tattoo. These guys are professional and take pride in their work, there is no going wrong with any of these guys at Broken Clover, prices are also very fair.

First the guy butchered my tattoo, quoted me $60 solid black bunny smaller than inch behind my ear, by the end he charged me $100 for it and made it so big it goes from back of my ear to my neck!!!! Said I had money and I cld pay more. After he was done he followed me around asking for money...Addendum: Owner was very concerned after seeing my review and attempted to fix issues the best he possibly can. Thnx

If you ask for their prices, or send them pictures of what you want, he entails he will not kiss your ass, by answering your questions. Never expand your shop, keep to your locals, because the entire world is filled with randoms. Be professional, answer your customers questions, and concerns.
