I went to Angelica last week because another tattoo artist that I see recommended her. Angelica made the whole process very easy and explained in great detail about which fonts would work and why, providing pictures of new tattoos and then how the same tattoo aged. The shop is bright, clean, welcoming, and in a great location. While I was there, I decided to get another tattoo from her flash because she had time and we also did a consultation for a future tattoo. I had a great time chatting with her and am excited for our next appointment! 10/10 would recommend Angelica because of her customer service and the diversity & quality of her work. SUPER clean lines!! She is an artist who seems to really love what she does!

This is the cleanest, most inviting shop you will experience in Tucson. The artists are really rad and all have their specialties! Angelica has done killer work on my last few pieces.

Roman has an artistic touch very few possess. A true artist, he offers suggestions that bring a tattoo to life. His attention to detail extends to his personal connection with his client, too. It took me such a long time to finally get an appointment with Roman, but it was well worth the wait!

Angie is kinda the best. She was able to fit us in the same day we inquired. I had sketched out an idea I had been working on for a while and I thought I had nailed it. And she put it together and conceptualized it far better than my own.I’d recommend her for anyone. She’s an artist and a dependable one too.Make an appointment with these people. They deserve your business and will make sure it’s done right and better than you could’ve imagined.

Angie is simply amazing. The shop is so beautiful and clean and in an ideal location. Angie is truly an artist, she takes your ideas and elevates it and makes it beyond perfect. Her attention to detail, knowledge and her care for you throughout the tattoo is awesome!! I will definitely be coming back next time I travel to Tucson 😉

AMAZING experience!!! Roman is an incredible artist! Hes so great with shading, realism and abstraction and watercolor! He was so creative and proficient in covering my tattoo. He did such a great job with the shading on the face, I get compliments all the time. The color and watercolor work is beautiful! The studio is really clean, minimal, artistic and peaceful. Roman is a really great guy. Its a good price for the quality of work he does. Ill be getting all my tattoos from him in the future! Would highly recommend!

He was a joy to be around and he has a calming presence that made the whole experience memorable and amazing. I got my first tattoo/ started in my Star Wars sleeve and Roman is freaking amazing.He had been extremely patient with me through the process and was extremely professional/chill to be around!The studio is beautiful and all of the artists are amazing at what they do.Can’t wait for his books to open so I can get some more work done on it ☺️

Ive been a client at Istari in multiple locations now. I got my shoulders done there almost 9 years ago and currently getting a full sleeve by the very talented Jim Quinn II. Every one there is extremely talented. Its always immaculate, and theres always a great vibe. All Covid protocols are observed. Cant say enough good things, love these guys. Their artists are often booked months ahead, so if you want some ink book early.

This is by far the most impressive tattoo studio that I have ever been to.The level of skill and effort Mike put into my piece far surpassed my expectations. Not to mention every artist I have met through Istari has been super humble, down-to-earth, and incredibly skilful.Very clean place with a unique vibe. Great prices given the level of talent. Highly recommend.

This is the best tattoo studio I have ever been to. Owners Jim Quinn and Roman Casillas are not only insanely talented, but they are deep and insightful (which is important if youre going to be sitting there for 5 hours). I am constantly impressed by their studio, the artists they have working there, their service, and of course, their tattoos. If youre ready to receive some real art, youve found your place.

I was so excited to try this place out because of all the great reviews, so I set up an Appointment but the tattoo artist forgot to even schedule me in so I showed up and he wasn’t there the first time . He made a beautiful design but just not what I wanted nor the style . It took a whole hour beofre I got tatted after appointment set up . Not like your most tattoo shops . Very unique and artsy, good environment, and very well cleaned. But always communicate with your artist

Roman is worth the wait! He designed a tattoo for me that represented exactly what I wanted! His work is AMAZING! The atmosphere was comfortable and everyone was very friendly. It’s also very clean!! You will not be disappointed with any artist in this classy professional tattoo shop!

Jim Quinn II and Istari Studios renewed my faith in the art of tattooing. After a previous bad experience I did my research both online and by asking people who had tattoos that caught my eye, and the same names kept coming up, Jim Quinn and Istari. After a promising consultation I went to my appointment feeling confident and I came out with a a beautiful tattoo. Jim is a talented artist and a really nice guy. From initial contact with studio, Jay is helpful and welcoming, through to the end result I have never had a better tattooing experience. I will be back for more and I highly recommend.

Chance is awesome hes working on covering up an armband that u have, and hes doing an amazing job! I recomend him to everyone that I hear talking about getting a tattoo!

I had the privalage to get a tattoo done by Roman about 5 or 6 years ago. My tattoo was of Marilyn Monroe. Roman did an absolutely amazing job on her. He has a Soft light touch and my tattoo healed better then any I had before and better then the many Ive had after. Im a very impatient person and dont like to Wait So with Roman being a super awesome arist and so busy, I found Another artist to finish my arm. My new artist did 5 tattoos on me and the last one was really rough, scarred really bad lots of ink issues. I never said any thing about it but She knew and now is blowing me off. With that being said, Roman will you take me back?

I was scared and I didnt know what I wanted, so not an ideal client. Chance listened to me and came up with the most perfect design that I didnt even know how to articulate I wanted. Day of, he was courteous and professional and managed to put me at ease. Every time I look at it I smile. Im hooked. If I could give more stars I would. Professionals and artists, simultaneously. Ill definitely be back.

Jim did a great job on fixing and making new a 25yr old piece. Have follow up plans to renew a bunch of older work and new pieces. Good work, time and price. Recommend this shop if your looking for custom work.

Great experience, first tattoo, 2 days, 5 or so hours and I am extremely happy. Roman listens and wants you happy, he is very laid back and skilled. Already booked my next one, the wait is worth it.

Great place, they recently moved to the former Henry Electric building on 9th right near Ace Hardware. Roman is great and has done nearly all of my tattoos. highly recommend this spot.

Make sure you do all your homework before coming here otherwise theyll turn you down. Couldnt get a couple tattoos without a lecture about how Ill struggle getting a job and wouldve been nothing but an arguement considering I would practically have to beg for them to do it. Not worth it to me.
